Clean comfortable and secure B and B near Termini

Sooo clean and very safe - a find around Roma termini. The signora doesn't speakEnglish but we managed just fine. The decor is colourful and quirky but I can't stress enough how clean the place was. Plumbing, Wifi. etc excellent. Three keys to get into your room so security is excellent. Reasonable rates - definitely recommended and definitely would stay again

Hidden gem...

Had a very pleasant weekend in Rome. The hotel is in a lovely quiet part just north of the main train station. There are a couple of restaurants and cafes nearby. The room was nice and comfortable and the people we met at reception were very friendly. Communications were v good in the lead up to our arrival.

Cheap and close to the train station but not good

I stayed here for 5 nights. This B&B is a few blocks north of the Termini train station, maybe a 15 minute walk. The footpaths on the way aren't in great condition so you might consider taking a taxi if you have heavy luggage.
I checked in in the afternoon (you will buzz in at the door on the street and say your name as checking in), the lady manning the reception desk didn't seem to speak any English but that wasn't an issue, a few gestures were enough to understand everything.
The room is basic but clean, functional and modern. I found the room a bit noisy, as you can hear the other guests coming and going, as well as other tenants in the building.
The bathroom unfortunately had an unpleasant damp smell most of the time. A second showerhead has been installed which I think the owners have meant to create a rainfall effect, however I just found it unhelpful as it has no water pressure for actual showering, and would occasionally drip cold water onto me while I was using the main showerhead.
Make sure you check your junkmail folder a couple of weeks before your arrival as they will request your estimated arrival time, to ensure someone's there to let you in.
There isn't much around the hotel area but at least you can walk to the Castro metro station and on to Termini and Rome's sights from there. Next time I come to Rome I will probably pay more for something nicer and in a better location, which no doubt will be expensive but I think worth it after this experience.

Comfortable Hotel

Standard hotel close to Roma Termini and restaurants. Cool chromatherapy lights in bathroom, hence the name. Comfortable for family with 2 young children. We found hotel to be very quiet contrary to other reviews. There is no full time reception so contacted hotel of our arrival details to ensure someone available to give us access to our room. Good hotel for trains to airport and Metro and buses. Overall, we had great stay!

It is hard to find, but it is number 25 and if you press the buzzer there will be someone to let you in, take the lift up as it is the third floor. It was unique and I loved the shower!

Positive: Good location- about 7 minutes walk to the station. Quiet. Near shops and restaurants. Very pleasant staff. Clean room. Shower room was amazing. Fridge. Kettle and Tea.

We chose hotel as it was near to both train and bus station.
The accommodation is on the third floor and, although there is a lift,
you have to climb about 8 steps in the entrance hall.
There isn't any outlook from the purple room, just a curtain at a shuttered window.
Kettle and tea bags are provided, but not coffee or milk.
There are several restaurants in the area between the hotel and station if you walk the side streets.

This hotel was ABSOLUTELY NOT worth my money at all!! Stayed one nite to catch an early train from Termini but recommended for the following reason.
1. Beds are the cheapest quality.
2. Quite far to walk to the station.
3. Inconvinent public transportations.
4. Bathroom looks very modern but the shower did not even drain!!!
5. The front desk lady can't speak English at all!!!
6. Wifi so slow!
We paid about $150 cuz it was New Year's Eve (perhaps) but I think it's only worth $40-50 max & 2-3 stars.

Quality Stay

Chroma Tessera offers a good place to stay for a fair price. It is also close to the Termini station, and within walking distance of many restaurants. However, it is confusing to locate, and up a few floors. I would recommend to solo travels or couples on a moderate budget who still want quality.

Great designed theme rooms , excellent location

Great hotel with designed theme rooms. Very clean and well maintained. The bathrooms were very modern and clean. The hotel is close proximity to the rail station. The staff was excellent and very helpful- we had lost our luggage and arrived at midnight and the staff was pleasant enough to stay around to assist us. The only downside is that this hotel provides excellent rooms but no breakfast ( however, there are places close by for breakfast).Would definitely stay here again!

Comfortable, friendly B&B

This is a B&B, i.e. a very large flat converted into a small number of en-suite guest rooms. Very friendly staff, rooms are decent sized, clean, comfortable. Within walking distance of the University, ideal for a short trip. I only spent one night, and did not discover too much of the neighbourhood, but the train station is not far, where there are lots of restaurants and coffee shops.

Great stay near Termini!

I had a great stay at Chroma Tessera. The room was clean and comfortable and the hosts friendly and helpful. It is super close to Romes main train and bus hub, Termini, which is great if you need super close access to the train or to the airport. Being close to the station meant it was super easy to catch a bus or metro to just about anywhere in town, but you have to plan for about 20-30 min of travel time because termini is not close to the main sites in Rome. I really enjoyed my stay and am great duo to my lovely hosts.

Great for the budget minded traveler

Great hotel for the money and located 10 mins walk from roma termini train station.
Modern and clean. Good bathroom and comfortable AC. Small fridge inside the room. The only negative is staff is not always around, so you need get your questions answers when you see them. They give you a key, so you are free to come in and out. The street is quiet at night. But many local business in the daytime. Cheaper to eat breakfast local businesses.
Don't expect a hotel sign, just go by the address.

Hotel staff was friendly, allowed us print our boarding passes and a pic of The Fonz on the wall was pretty cool and the room is actually quite big for European standards. Didn't spend much time in the room or have breakfast.
You MUST coordinate a checkin time with the staff as they are not on site all the time. Watch your email and they will email you about your checkin time and get keys to outside building/room so you can get in and out when you want. They do turn off the AC if you leave the room and they are still there - so be prepared for a bit of a warm room when you return. Also, the building isn't marked well... follow the directions they send you in the email. Watch the building for numbers as you go by - when you see #25 on building you are there and you will notice a gold plate next to the door that says Chroma Tessera - push the buzzer / let them know you are there to check in. Overall good stay.

Very Nice Hotel

The hotel is located near the termini station, it's like 5-10 mins walk. The room was properly arranged, very cleaned and wifi connection was fast. Receptionist is very helpful and nice even the owner. I will definetely recommend Chroma Tessera.

Week long stay in Rome at Chroma Tessera. Room was average size with good size bathroom and large shower. Very clean, staff were friendly and helpful (staff on site from approx 7am-7pm). Walking distance to Roma Termini Station. Would definately recommend and return.

Ein sehr schönes, kleines Hotel in einem saniertem Altbau, 5 Minuten von Roma Termini entfernt. Das Personal war super freundlich und auch wenn nicht so gebucht war der Check in bereits um 11:20 möglich. Ich werde gerne wiederkommen.

テルミニ駅から徒歩圏内で、近い。
スーパーは駅前にあるのでそこで買ってしまえば支障ない。
部屋の中は清潔でおしゃれにしてあり、オイルヒーターでぽかぽか暖かく、快適だった。

Fantastique proche de la gare termini le bus 492 passe juste a cote de l hotel et permet de rejoindre la majorite des endroits interessant.
L hotel est situé dans un immeuble au 3 éme étage.
Pour un court sejour je recommande cet hotel

le chroma tessera ne ressemble pas a un hotel vu de l' exterieur puisque que l'on ne peux pas avoir accès comme un hotel normal il n 'y a personne a l'accueil sauf a certaine heure nous nous sommes arrivé tard et il n'y avait personne a part ce probléme la chambre etait spacieuse et tres moderne et propre je recommande cette hotel a tout ceux qui veulent passer un week-end

Tranquillo in posizione strategica

Cortese accoglienza e spazio sufficiente in camera anche per tre persone,con bollitore con vari tipi di the, frigobar,casetta di sicurezza, etc. Carino il gioco di luci chromoterapiche in bagno. Da consigliare soprattutto per la zona tranquilla, con rumori davvero inesistenti nella struttura. A due passi dall'Università e vicino alla stazione Termini ( con mezzi pubblici annessi) ma anche alla fermata della metropolitana di Castro Pretorio. Provata nel lungo weekend di Ognissanti in una Roma affollatissima, ma non nella zona dell'hotel. Provata anche scossa di terremoto mattutina senza particolari conseguenze, a parte la paura.

Ideaal voor een korte stedentrip

Een tot hotel verbouwd appartement. Zit op de derde verdieping. Is bereikbaar met een mooie antieke lift. Kamers tot max 4 personen, zijn eenvoudig maar netjes en schoon. Een simpel ontbijt kan worden geregeld en kost niet veel. Moderne badkamer met fijne douche. Bedden waren wat aan de zachte kant maar dat is een persoonlijke voorkeur.

Albergo singolare, collocata all'interno di un palazzo (e occupante un solo piano).
C'e' una cifra aggiuntiva se si arrive dopo le 23 o si parte prima delle 6.
Colazione servita solo in camera dalle 8.30

A parte queste cose un po' \"particolari\", soggiorno eccellente con camera enorme e top level di pulizia e servizi. Ottima location vicino alla stazione nella via dell'Universita'.
Ottimo rapporto qualita'-prezzo.
Per ora, il migliore della zona.

Hotellet är mycket rent och fräscht med bra badrum. På det stora hela är vi absolut nöjda. Det enda negativa är att det är väldigt lyhört och att det ligger en smula avsides. Det sistnämnda har dock inte direkt med hotellet att göra.

Negativ Punkte:
1. Toilette stinkt.
2. Extrem laut. (Man hört jede Person durchs Treppenhaus laufen oder auf die Toilette gehen)
3. Kaugummi klebt unterhalb des Bildes.
4. Bett quietscht und knarrt bei jeder Bewegung.
5. Duschkopf total verkalkt.
6. Kein internationales Fernsehen. (Wir hatten gutes Wetter also zum Glück mussten wir kein Fernseh gucken.)

Kleines Hotel in der Nähe vom Bahnhof.

Perfekt für einen Kurzurlaub in Rom. Mit dem Hotel waren wir sehr zufrieden. Der Service war einfach nur freundlich, die Zimmer sauber und ruhig. Dazu waren die Zimmer in einen modernen und renovierten Zustand.

떼르미니역에서 애매한 위치

떼르미니 역에서 상당히 떨어져 있어서 이동이 너무 불편합니다. 택시 타기에는 너무 가깝고....상당히 애매한 위치에 있습니다. 방은 좁고 침구는 눅눅하고,,,,,,,어차피 리조트 개념이 아니고 로마에서 방안에 있을 이우는 별로 없었기에 큰 상관은 없었지만 위치와 방의 크기는 있는 동안만큼은 매우 불편하였습니다.

Rome Terminiエリアの大学側の静かなホテル

もっとTermini駅から近いかと思っていたら段々と寂しくなってきたところのアパートメントタイプのホテルでした。
飲み物などの買い物はTermini駅周辺でできますが、ホテルから先にはほぼ何もありません。
また、地下鉄駅Castro Pretorioからも同じくらいの距離でホテルに行けますが、道にお店がほぼないのでTerminiを利用するほうが良いです。
