This is by far the worse stay I've ever had in my life. The rooms were very smelly and cleaning barely acceptable, they forgot to empty garbage for a few days. We stayed 5 nights for a convention.

Stay away!!!!!

Wifi wasn't working for the first 3 days and the staff wasnt helpful about it.

I contacted Hotels.com and they weren't able to do anything!

Was there one week for business and the internet did not work one day…. Very bad when you need to work. My group and I made the comment most day to the counter desk. They kept saying they were fixing it bure it actually never worked not even one of the 6 days.There also was a bad smell in the room because the rooms are very old.

Upon check in the clerk was friendly. The other clerk was to busy on her phone to acknowledge us when we came to gather our luggage
No Air conditioning. Elevate didn’t work. We had to carry our luggage to the 7th floor only to realize the doors were locked. The key to our room did not open the door. Now taking the stairs again to the ground floor with our luggage. We were able to take this elevator to the 7th floor. The clerk cared less. Because we waited 10 min before taking the stairs, we missed our train.

This is a 2.5 star hotel at best. Rooms were clean but dated with very stained carpets. Wifi was unreliable. Door uses a key and requires you to lock the door once inside the room as well.

I prepared laundry and left it in my room. Housekeeper did not take it. I tried to give it to her and she refused. Called the front desk and they said to leave it in the room. It still was not picked up so I called the front desk again. Was finally instructed to bring it down to the front desk. They did not inform me or deliver the laundry once it was ready. I had to go ask. This is really poor service. The external laundry company they use stretched out my shirt.

Do not stay at this hotel for business. If you are looking for a cheap vacation hotel--it is fine.

No one cares the curtains dont keep your room dark

Centeral so very noisy... matreass is totaly used but the main problem was the light... you wake up feeling there is a loom of light right at your face... the \"thick\" curtains arent really thick to make your room dark and due to the direction of the building the light is really hard to bare. Woke up at dawn and couldnt sleep

This property is in a great location! We trained in from Copenhagen and flew out of the airport. Because this hotel is so close to the train station, both trips were super easy. So many GOOD cafés within feet of the hotel and access to shopping & sightseeing is excellent. Our room was quiet and clean!

Staff were friendly. Elevator has long term repair issues and is not accessible from the ground floor. You must walk up to 1st floor then take elevator from there. Elevator is also very slow and there is no option to go up the stairs. With that in mind, the place was fine.

The hotel is right in the middle of a busy part of Charlottenburg, so if you aren’t into city sounds this place won’t be for you. We n ended something quick and cheap and exactly that but more. The hotel wasn’t dirty or divey and there is a massive variety of food in the area.

This hotel is far from being 4 stars, I would say 2 star.It is an old hotel with everything old, a key chain weight almost half kg :) Reception on the 7 floors, my room was on the 3rd floor, I had to take the different elevator, the name of the different hotel appeared on the door of elevator with 3 stars not 4 stars. Waited a long time for the elevator, I decided to take the stairs, then I realized i locked myself out, I was not able to get back, so I decided to go up to 7 floors to the reception. I was not able to get to the hotel reception even on the 7 floors, so I walked to the ground floor, the door was open, I took the elevator to the 7 floor where was the reception. When I asked why it is so complicated, they told me, for security reasons.In my reservation, I requested 2 separate beds, when checked in, I realized it was one bed. The bath door had mold. I do not recommend this hotel, it is definitely not 4 star. The staff was not professional, any of my suggestions were met with confrontations. I'm a frequent traveler, and I'm quite lazy to leave reviews, very rarely I do. THIS ONE, I HAD TO- SO NOBODY FALL INTO THE TRAP

Amazing roof terrace, perfect place to watch the New Year fireworks, which is exactly why I chose it. Rooms and bathrooms are very spacious if slightly old fashioned but nice and clean. There is a strange system of having to go to the top floor to get your key from reception every time but you get used to it. I really enjoyed my stay and the only downside was that the heating in the whole hotel was boiling hot. I slept with all the windows open even in Dec/Jan despite turning down everything as much as I could in room. Location is great right next to the metro and loads of shops and is good value for money.

Ok, but, as a regular, monthly Berlin visitor, and my first time here at this hotel, I felt this was a bit old fashioned and not great value for money. A funny lift system meant that anytime you left you room to go out you had to go UP first to the 7th floor, and change lifts to go DOWN. The staff however, were super nice and friendly and helpful.

It was so hot it was ridiculous even with the windows open and fan going full blast. The room's mini fridge didn't work at all, which I ended up throwing out some ham and cheese the second day because it was room temp and I didn't want a case of food poisoning. There is a doorbell button that must be pushed to get into the unmarked glass door to the hotel. Reception is on the 7th floor next to the bar and restaurant. A two elevator system is required to get to the actual room, which took some getting use to. The \"queen\" size bed was two twin beds pushed together and falling between the two beds at 2 am was something I never got use to. The decor is dated and was probably in style back in the 80's, but it's showing it's age now. I was in a No Smoking room, but there was a cigarette machine in the hall just outside my room and the smell of cigarette smoke was very apparent. Hotel Domicil still uses actual metal keys, which have to be turned into the 7th floor reception desk and picked up each time the hotel was exited or entered. That felt very arcachoic in this age of hotel key cards. The hotel is right next to the subway station and the location is great if you can tolerate the other things.

The Domicil Berlin is a lovely hotel. Nice position as it has an underground station and bus stop directly outside and Charlottenburg main station a 2 minute walk away so very easy access to the city. The hotel staff were excellent and the room was huge. The Domicil is highly recommended for a stay in Berlin.

I couldn't check in because the reception was closed. Nobody called me before leaving reception at midnight despite having my mobile phone. The hotels.com confirmation email has no instructions about checkin lo
It time. I ended up paying lots of money looking desperately at 3am for an alternative hotel with 2 rooms available. I suspect they re sold my room that's why didn't call me to check my estimated arrival time

Entrance is difficult to find.

I couldn't find this hotel's entrance. I gave the address to the cab driver and he pulled up but also was unsure of the entrance. The lobby is actually in the top floor, and you need to be buzzed in to enter. I circled the entrance 3 times before finding.

Room cleanliness left something to be desired. My first impression was the bad odor in the room. The bathroom tiles appeared to have mold.

Aside from that the breakfast was great.

its ok with a location midway between the Messe and city centre but the nearby shopping centre is lit at night which means the blackout curtains are essential and not quite up to the job. facilities very limited but staff are pleasant and its reasonably priced. WiFi is average at best.

Convenient and Professional

We stayed for three nights in Berlin and chose this hotel based on price and convenient location near the U-Bahn and S-Bahn. Hotel staff was courteous and professional, and the man at the reception who checked us in was very helpful. My wife doesn't speak German, and the fact that the hotel staff had a reasonable command of English was reassuring to her. Hotel Domicil Berlin is located on the U7 line and is only 5 stations distant from the Tegel Airport express bus stop at Jakob-Kaiser-Platz. The weather during our stay was unusually hot, and the lack of air conditioning made sleeping uncomfortable, but the room did have a fan. Would have been nice if a complimentary bottle of water was provided along with the cost of the room as it was each day during our stay at Ruegen. Some riff-raff was outside the hotel entrance, as this is at a pedestrian zone near a busy train station. We walked through the rail overpass and up Wilmersdorfer Strasse after dark but didn't feel too unsafe. An express elevator goes all the way to the reception on the 7th floor. You have to switch to another elevator to get down to your room, but this adds to the sense of security. Although the hotel facade dominates the street corner, the front entrance to the hotel is not conspicuous or marked, which probably helps keep non-guests out. The view from the 7th floor outdoor restaurant is spectacular. Would stay there again.

Central location for a price

My room having a decent size was facing a very busy and therefore noisy street with a traffic light right at the hotel; no chance to open the window while in the room. Considering that there is no air-conditioning, staying in the room on a warm summer night may be anything but comfortable. Also only slow Internet, not capable of handling e.g. Skype.

Overall a good stay. . The hotel missed on a few points and hit on some others.
We must have been in an older room . The air conditioning wasn't the best and the fan supplied didn't cut it . Upon arrival in our room we found a dirty cup left for us . The wifi in our room was hard to use and would be open sometimes and locked sometimes. On the plus side it is close to many attractions via the s-bahn and u-bahn . Lots of wonderful small shops and restaurants near by . Also the young man that cooks at night cooked up an amazing steak dinner . Check that out

Welcomed with a \"sorry, we are overbooked\"

Showed up at 10:30pm to check-in in the pre-paid room. All the attendant had for me was to tell me they were in an overbooked situation. They had a room in a different hotel a few kilometers away, but not having been notified by email or phone before my arrival was extremely unprofessional. I am surely not going to book at the Nordic Hotel brand another time. Other than that, the hotel looked ok and the location was fine.

Our two night stay at DOMICIL was comfortable: the room was larger than most in Europe and included a full size bathroom with tub (often difficult to find). The hotel was modern and spotless, staff pleasant and helpful. The room included a safe and mini-bar. The neighborhood is well situated in Charlottenburg, with public transport and taxi within a block. There are many small restaurants and cafes nearby. Our only issue was the price of the breakfast buffet: too expensive. We went to the local bakery/cafe for coffee and pastries both savory and sweet; McDonald's is literally next door, and has excellent coffee for take out. I have no problem recommending DOMICIL.

Overpriced Hotel with Great Location

The location is very convenient and the Hotel is clean. The layout of the Hotel is terrible (with the need to take an elevator to the seventh floor before having to take another one to get down to the second). Also, the rooms are tiny and cramped. There are dozens of hotels in Berlin that have a way nicer room for less money, also being in a great location.

Superb value for money, great location

This was our first family visit to Berlin (2 adults, 2 teens) so we chose this for location, plus price. The rooms were great value for money although we ate all our meals out as we felt they were too expensive, especially the amount per person for breakfast. There are loads of local places to eat. We did enjoy a bier on the balcony - good view of the city. The rooms were lovely - clean and very roomy for a city hotel. We did find it a bit noisy, but it was in the city, so what do you expect? We just shut the windows at night. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Location wise, the hotel is great - 2 mins to Charlottenburg station, then 10 mins into centre, or choice of buses and U bahn right outside. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I would stay here again

The area is a excellent base to explore Berlin. The hotel is located on both the S-Bahn and U-Bahn train lines, which makes it really easy to get around. There is plenty of cheap options for dining close to the hotel, as well as nicer restaurants and supermarkets for any essential items. I really liked being near the teirgarden, as it is an excellent place to go for a picnic, and my husband went for a run there which he really enjoyed. The hotel room was very well appointed, very clean and comfy. The staff were very friendly. The reception being on the 7th floor was not a problem at all. I would stay here again as it was excellent value for money.

The hotel is located a few stations away from the haupbanhof st. and just a walk away from chalotte st. The neighbourhood didnt have a lot of restaurants, the hotel itself had a very nice restaurant. The breakfast a tad too expensive (14EUR). The reception is located on the 7th flr. so you might wonder if you are at the right place when you arrive. The room however was extremely clean and the staff very helpful.

a 4 star hotel should be air conditioned

This was the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in, absolutely spotless. Also the view from the roof top bar over the city to the TV tower was something special. However, I assumed a 4 star hotel would have air conditioning and this one didn't. No one can control the weather, but it was too hot to sleep in the room making for an incredibly stressful and unpleasant stay. It seemed to be at least 10 degrees warmer inside than out, and the noise from the street with the windows open (and the 4am sunrise) really made things worse. Might be great in winter, but I wouldn't take my chances. Its a shame as it should have been a lovely place to stay.

Vorab, in diesem Hotel würde ich nicht noch einmal übernachten. Es gab zwei Aufzüge. Einer fuhr normalerweise vom Eingangsbereich ohne Halt in die 7. Etage zur Rezeption. In 4 Tagen Aufenthalt konnten wir diesen Aufzug nur einmalig nutzen. Ansonsten war er defekt. Es gab noch einen weiteren Aufzug für in die Geschosse 1-7 zu gelangen. Heißt, mit Koffern am Anreisetag erstmal bis in die 1. Etage tragen und dann erst in den Aufzug. Das gleiche auch am Abreisetag. Das Personal am Empfang hatte nicht wirklich Ahnung. Eine Aufklärung über die Aufzüge haben wir nicht erhalten. Das findet man alles selbst heraus. Die Zimmer sind alt waren aber bei Ankunft sauber. Am 3. Tag haben wir ein Schild rausgehangen, mit der Bitte das Zimmer zu säubern. Neue Handtücher haben wir bekommen, auch über die Armaturen vom Bad hat man gewischt. Allerdings hat man wohl keine Notwendigkeit gesehen, auch den Boden zu reinigen. Hier lagen noch Haare und das waren nicht wenige.
Das Frühstück war okay aber meiner Meinung nach nicht vergleichbar mit anderen 4 Sterne Hotels. Wir haben uns dort nicht wohl gefühlt. Leider kann ich das nicht genauer beschreiben.

Leider war das Zimmer nicht in dem Zustand, wie man es erwarten würde. Die Matratze rutschte weg und die Steckdosen funktionierten nicht alle.
Insgesamt war dieser Aufenthalt so, dass ich für das nächste Mal ein anderes Hotel gebucht hatte.

Hauptkritikpunkt ist das Fehlen einer Klimaanlage. Im Sommer heitzt sich das Zimmer wahnsinnig auf. Bei offenem Fenster schlafen ist augrund der auch nachts durchgehenden Geräuschkulisse nur schwer möglich.

Es war sehr bequem, sehr nettes Personal und sehr nah an Zentrum.

入口がわかりずらく、マックの横のドアを勇気を持って入ってフロントのある７階まで上がっていくエレベータを発見できます。看板もエレベータも表示があるので、見過ごさなければ発見できます（滞在中に２組の旅行者が入口で迷ってて案内しました）。宿泊部屋にいくにも7階フロントを必ず通るので、エレベータで他のお客さんと、フロントでお兄ちゃんとコミュニケーションが毎回取れます。部屋設備はちょっと古いですが、広さも十分あり、立地を考えてもコスパがいいホテルです。

Rolige omgivelser, central og bekvem beliggenhed

U-bahn, S-bahn og parkeringshus lige uden for døren. Reception og morgenmadsrestaturant med udsigt over byen. Livlligt kvarter med mange spisesteder (streetfood, italiensk og østerlandsk) og cafeer. Gåafstand til Deutsche Oper. Ok morgenbuffet - har tidligere været mere omfangsrig men til gengæld er prisen sat ned i forhold til tidligere. Yderst behageligt og venligt personale.

Super god belligenhed

Fantastisk beliggenhed, man kan gå til de fleste steder, ellers ligger U-bahn lige ved døren.
Check-in lidt ligegyldig, personalet var meget lidt arrangeret og sagde direkte at de var trætte, da de havde haft en stor gruppe check-in
Bartender om aften utrolig venlig og serviceminded
Vi vil til en hver tid anbefale dette hotel. Det er P - hus lige overfor. Vi gav 20 euro pr. døgn .

Vi fik ikke morgenmad på hotellet, men spiste i byen.

Preis/Leistung hat bei mir gepasst. Frühstück in Ordnung. Zugang zum Zimmer umständlich nur über 2 Aufzüge möglich. Möbel im Zimmer nicht modern. Bad ausreichend groß.
