DO NOT STAY HERE! If I could give this hotel 0 stars, I absolutely would. My family and I stayed here expecting a basic, clean, and safe place to sleep while we were in town. We weren't looking for luxury or anything extravagant. This \"Inn\" failed in every possible way. From the moment we arrived until the moment we checked out, we felt uncomfortable, frustrated, and genuinely disappointed. Looking back, the 2-star rating should have been a warning.
The problems started before we even made it to our room. The front desk is completely virtual, there isn't an actual employee available to assist you in person. It made check-in unnecessarily slow, confusing, and frustrating. Instead of interacting with someone who could quickly resolve an issue, we had to communicate through a screen while waiting for someone on the other end to help.
After what already felt like an unnecessarily long check-in process, they handed us paperwork with our room number and a key card. We went upstairs only to discover that the key wouldn't unlock the door. Thinking the key needed to be reprogrammed, I went back downstairs. After waiting and more confusion, I tried again and it still didn't work. I had to return multiple times before someone finally admitted that they had printed the wrong room number on our paperwork from the beginning. They wasted our time and immediately gave us the impression that this property was poorly managed.
Things only got worse after we finally entered the correct room. T

Property not maintained, peeling paint, siding falling off, dirty stairwell. No manager on site for check in. There is a screen set up in the office that a remote person checks you in and a dispenser issues a blank white room key. I did not feel safe in this environment. After checking in and going to my assigned room I decided I not to stay in this place. Came back and talked to the remote person on the screen who said a manager would be in the office at 8pm. He refused to refund my money as I booked thru Expedia. Expedia refused to refund as they said the hotel had already received the funds and they would have to refund me. Do not stay in this place. I will not use Expedia again.

Property was filthy when we arrived. Bed didn't even look like it had been changed. Feces in the toilet urine on the floor. Countertops were taped together and the pool that was supposed to be heated was not even clean look like it hadn't been clean in a month and a half. Broken glass all throughout the parking lots and bugs on the floors in the hotel room. Do not recommend as it has been a hassle to get our money back.

I would never stay here again. The room was filthy, smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, and didn't feel clean at all. I felt unsafe during my entire stay, and the overall condition of the property was unacceptable. For the price, I expected at least a clean, secure place to sleep, but this motel failed on both counts. Save yourself the disappointment and look elsewhere.

This place definitely qualifies as a fleabag motel. They have no office staff, only a remote screen that checks you in via the internet and prints out your room key. When we got to the room, the main light only had one working bulb, the one lamp by the uncomfortable king bed didn’t even have a bulb, just an empty socket. The TV was unplugged so we plugged it in and the screen said the remote was not programmed to run this TV and to see the front desk. Unfortunately, there are no humans at the front desk. And the television has no buttons, so we could not adjust the volume, which means we couldn’t hear the tv. When it was time to go to bed, we couldn’t turn off the tv (no buttons, remember?) so we had to unplug it. Now we know why it was unplugged when we got there. Previous guests in the same boat. Rooms were filthy. Seriously just a disgusting experience staying here. I expected a lot more for the overpriced room, but with Ironman happening in town, motel rooms were scarce. I see now why this dive still had vacancies. Couldn’t recommend this less. Surprised they’re in business.

Do not book this motel. Pictures make it appear decent for someone wanting to save a little money. We checked into our room and had dirty sheets, towels stains on the carpet along with a dirty smell. We asked for refund and they only refunded 2 of the 3 nights because we didn’t cancel in time. We told them we should get full refund due to motel not being clean and that we tried checking in and even moving to a different room. Staff told us they shouldn’t have refunded any of our stay. Front desk is a virtual check in box. Don’t recommend, you will be very disappointed if you even give it a try. I spent more money finding another hotel and Rodeway not refunding. Poor service all around.

Burn hole in the comforter and cut marks. Booked a non-smoking room and got a heavy smoked in room. Ash tray by the TV and one between the 2 beds. No staff to greet you on arrival. A kiosk with someone you can’t hear or understand is no substitute for a smile and welcome. The room was cold with dirty and stained floors. The shower safety bar was missing. Someone left a long black hair in the shower. I don’t travel with hangers so I wasn’t able to hang anything up. Not even a wire hanger in the closet. Nobody on site in case you need anything. One man waited 24 hours to get on WiFi. The last 3 times i stayed. i had to have my room changed due to the smell of body oder blood on the sheets and the tvs not working properly. The bed spreads are old and stained. This place needs to be updated and thoroughly cleaned. You should expect some level of standard even from a hole in the wall motel. Theres plenty of options in the area chose one of them instead

Had to leave early. Only stayed the one night because it was so late after leaving scarywood, and didn't want to try and find another hotel in the dark and so late. Rouches. A lot of them in our room. When we originally tried to check in, it was standard check in times. There wasn't a real person there. It was all over the kiosks. Then, our door lock on the room was out of batteries and we couldn't get in. After trying 3 different times with a new key every time, and going back to the kiosks guy, explaining again 3 times times what was going on, we finally got assigned a new room. After finally getting into the room, it appeared very nice and clean. With the acception of some updates of the kitchen. Warped and broken countertops, a smoke detector down, just little things that just need a little work. But then when we got back from scarywood and I opened the fridge door, a huge rough came out of nowhere. And then several others. In total between the dead ones in the drawers and the live ones crawling out on the counters and walls we saw 10 different rouches. That's just the ones we saw. We ended up checking out in the morning and finding a different place to stay. Over all not a good experience while trying to keep a good attitude. Thankfully it didn't take away from our overall trip experience outside of the hotel.

Very nice. Only complaint would be that the internet was not very good, it would go in and out. Nice comfortable beds, good size fridge, and a nice desk with a chair, as well as a microwave. No bath, but the washroom was big and the room was spacious as well. Tv was ancient, but no one really cared and we didn’t bother trying to make it work when it just came on blank. Pro tip; close the bathroom door at night and you won’t be disturbed by the sounds of water.

The exhaust fan in the bathroom didn’t work. There was no staff anywhere. AC only worked on high. Heat had no fan. Pool was a bright green color. They didn’t give us enough towels for the first day and refused to give us more. Then on the second day housekeeping took our old towels, without replacing them—leaving us with no towels. They also didn’t clean the room. They just came in and stole the limited towels we had. When I went to the front desk, there was no front desk person, except a virtual front desk person who couldn’t help us. He said someone would come and bring us towels and clean the room at 7pm. No one showed up. I had Expedia try to get us help and they couldn’t help us, either. I asked for a refund and the hotel refused and Expedia refused. Besides all that, there were drunk people outside our room in the parking lot, screaming all night and people up all night in the room above us—screaming and stomping. There were sirens all the time like it was the bad side of town. It felt unsafe. I’ll never stay there again or trust another Expedia reservation.

The carpet with stained and gross. It seemed that the hotel was being remodeled and some rooms were not in the same state that ours were. When we mentioned these things to the staff at check out, they did not apologize. They just said \"thank you for letting us know.\" I will never stay at a Rodeway Inn again. ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!!!

THE WORST EXPERIENCE we have ever had in a hotel! First off, we booked multiple rooms for our family and half of our group was leaving later and wouldn’t be able to make it before 10pm or so. RIGHT AFTER we booked the rooms we called just to make sure they had late check in-we were told no. The person on the phone told us if they didn’t check in by 10pm they couldn’t check in at all (which did seem weird, but it is what we were told when we called the hotel directly) so we made arrangements and moved some things around to ensure everyone would be there by 10. Our first group arrived to the hotel only to see a HUGE 24 hour check in sign at the entrance! I will say the man at the front desk who checked us in was nice and helpful.

But unfortunately it just got worse from there. The rooms were absolutely disgusting, both showers had gobs of caulk to fix cracks, which was all brown and dirty, holes in the walls, shower heads falling out, etc. Never got new or clean towels. The rooms smelled so musty and gross. The doors do not shut securely, very sketchy people hanging around all hours. The room next to ours had people in and out each night, we were not able to get ANY sleep. The room next to us was so loud and we could hear VERY inappropriate situations ALL NIGHT. We had kids with us who were so uncomfortable and scared, it was DISGUSTING to have to hear that. We didn’t feel safe and wouldn’t recommend. If we had a choice we should’ve packed up and left as quickly as possible!

By far… the dirtiest place I’ve ever stayed. Was looking for something cheap and convenient, just in town for a few hour evening event. Spend the extra money to get a cleaner stay. It is so obvious they haven’t even swept or mopped the floors in a very long time. A drop of water gets on the floor and it turns to mud. The counters have dirt and crap all over them, we had to lay towels down to set stuff on the counter.

This is the second worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The building was in terrible shape. The room was filthy. The shower curtain was filthy! The shower had hair in it. The TV was terribly small. First hotel I have ever stayed in that I checked for bed bugs before touching or bringing anything into the room.

We rented 2 rooms w/ 2 adults and 4 kids. They have the center doors to have adjoined rooms. We got rooms on separate floors, which seems absolutely ridiculous for a reservation of 2 rooms with 4 KIDS. I asked about this but was told this is where your rooms were assigned.
We made it work because it was already after 9pm and a day at Silverwood, so kids were exhausted.
Our tub had a giant line of caulk to \"fix\" a hole and a seperate hole that was unfixed.
The shelf in the sink area /closet was bowed so far in the middle it was completely unusable and left no room for the now missing closet rod.
The absolute worst part was the door at been clearly kicked in at somw point and there was NO wood jamb assisting holding the door closed just the metal catch. The doors are exterior access, meaning there was no \"extra\" security of the hotel halls. On the day after a firefighter Ambush in your town. We deserved a room that at least locked securely. Never have i been so misguided by expedia room ratings.

The manager could not speak English well. He was a smart alec. He laughed at me when I asked for hot water for my tea. There was nothing to warm up coffee or tea in the room. Just microwave and cheap thin plastic cups.

I asked the cleaning lady about the man and she does not like the man.

My name is Karen and the moment I walked in the customer service office it smelled like feet and buttcrack, the room they provided me had roaches everywhere and didn’t provide me and any solutions to help get rid of them and it smelled like stinky armpits

The AC was amazing. The room was freezing, just how I like it.

My only complaint was not having more than 2 towels for 4 guests. I requested towels and never got them to the room. I waited for a while and then had to go about my day and there were no additional towels upon return.

The room was clean and check in / check out was very easy. The virtual staff agent was pleasant upon check in.

Horrible! Checked in, took forever and extremely bad customer service. Finally got our room. Stairs to our room where blocked off by pallets, had to walk all the way around the building (that was down the block from the main hotel mind you) opened the door, room had not been cleaned, garbage still in the room, someone had recently been sleeping on the bed, bathroom a mess, etc. Went straight down to the office to cancel our stay. Staff would not allow me to speak to the manager, or refund stay or discount or any kind reconciliation gesture. Health and safetly violations eveywhere, ot what is advertised when reservations where made at all. Extremely upset 😡

Our fire alarm was unplugged from the wall our entire time, the owner was rude, told me to put it outside. Instead of fixing it within code, he told us to leave.

Found burn marks in the bathroom, then when I showered I found a deconstructed pen that’s used as drug paraphernalia on the shower ledge. Toilet is running and only stops if you jiggle the stopper in the tank. Sink faucet lever is broke.

The hotel manager was great. I was unaware that I had booked a smoking room. There were plenty of non-smoking rooms available at the hotel, but hotels.com would not allow the manager or me to change my stay to a non-smoking room. Extremely disappointing as I was not given any option to cancel the reservation and book somewhere else. It was not comfortable being in a smoking room as the smell of smoke permeates everything in the room. I will never book with hotels.com again.
