I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Hôtel des Arcades de Cachan Grand Paris Sud, and I have to express my disappointment. I specifically chose this hotel because of the assurance of air conditioning on their website. The hotel's claim of having a/c turned out to be a complete lie, leaving me to stay through a hot and uncomfortable stay on my first night.

Adding insult to injury, the hotel reception’s response was somewhat dismissive and at a certain point for laughed at. After arguing for an hour about the claims on the website he finally said they would have someone come fix it around 3pm the NEXT day. I asked for a partial credit for not getting what I paid for and they rejected it.

I strongly advise prospective guests to steer clear of this place until they either address this issue or at least update their website to reflect accurate information. It is unacceptable to mislead guests about essential amenities like air conditioning.

Nice place. It is close to restaurants and the room was comfortable. The staff was kind. The breakfast was very limited for the cost. A hard boiled egg, dried fruits, lunch meat and cheese and bread for 12 Euros. If you can wait until it opens, there is a bakery around the corner.

Had 2 rooms booked but they only knew about one. Could not turn of air conditioning in room despite desperate efforts all night long. Was woken ever 15 minutes by room being incredibly cold and noises air con. The most expensive 3 hours sleep I’ll ever have.

If you are expecting the Paris experience this is not your hotel, this is a great little hotel located on the outskirts if Paris, there is a train station 10 minutes away, bus lines, restaurants and supermarkets, it is located in a residential neighborhood quiet, clean and relatively safe, parking is free, rooms are clean and spacious (for Paris), if you want to stay in the heart of Paris you will probably pay three times as much, spent 11 nighrs there bot a single problem, staff is courteus and friendly with basic english knowledge enough to comunicate, AC is cold and water pressure was om too. Only thing is that I wish they had a mini fridge in the room and a microwave available for guests to use (if you ask them they will heat your food in the kitchen microwave for you) apart from that I will highly recommend this place.

Spent three nights - - very convenient location close to the train station. Avoided traffic and parking hassles in central Paris. 20 minute train ride to Notre Dame and Invalides stations. Grocery store and great bakery, butcher shop and restaurants right around the corner.

I booked a double room and expect what I saw on Hotels.com.
When I arrived, I got a room for disabled, there is almost no light as the small window is far away from the bed. There is no hair dryer, the bed is much smaller than it should be as it's clear with the bedside lamps that it does not match the size of the bed. I suppose they have made this room so it can fit wheelchair.
It was already very late so I can't be bother mention about this to staff.
Only stayed for 2 nights, I paid 125 euro per night which is way higher than it's normal price.

The staff are very friendly. I didn't stay at the hotel for most of the time but then it's quite comfortable. Proximity to RER station and other shops is really helpful. Decently clean and area is quiet as well. Nothing much to complain about really. Good value for money.

Great hotel for days out in Paris

Great hotel to meet our requirements which were to allow us an easy journey into Paris on the Metro - the local station is a 5 minute walk and the 10-15 mins ride into the centre of Paris. We also wanted easy access on to the autoroute to allow our onward journey the following day to the south of France and again, it took 5 mins drive to find the autoroute. Overall, cost effective, comfortable hotel.

The room was so small you could barely fit 2 small suitcases. The hotel didn't even supply tissue paper. The breakfast was minimal at best, the only good thing about the breakfast was the freshly baked croissants. They served yogurt that expired that very day. The Lobby was under construction and the workers were so slow. My sister had to change her room because it stunk of sewage. I expected more from this hotel being a North American chain. Hotel rooms are nothing like the pictures.

I stayed at the comfort inn with two friends. We had booked a room for 3, however when we arrived were told it had got a little muddled and we had a double bed and a single- we are best friends, so didn't mind sharing a bed... Obviously may not be as convenient for others if this happened again though. The room was very basic but had everything we needed, beds were comfortable, shower worked well. Wifi was a little slow and our air conditioning unit was a bit temperamental but nothing too awful. The area is quiet and close to the metro. Took only about 25 mins to be in Central Paris.
Hotel staff were friendly and spoken excellent English- very eager to help us with anything that we needed.
Our holiday consisted of 4 very full days of touring Paris and so our hotel was simply a place to leave our stuff and catch some z's. Perfect for the job and I would recommend it to anyone with the same sort of itinerary planned!

Great Location, Friendly and helpful staff. The internet connection was quite slow but other than that a great experience. They let us keep the car in their parking lot after checkout until later that night what was very helpful. You can also get a breakfast for 9 euros per person which we found that was well worth.

The room was adequate, shower was clean, bed was confortable but the pillow appeared to be for a child rather than an adult. We booked a room with 3 singles but the receptionist tried to give us one queen bed; undoubtedly he was not successful.
Do not ever take the breakfast..quite worthless not even worth describing.

I would not advise, or encourage anyone to stay here. It was a very inconvenient and disappointing day when we arrived to this side street motel. The pictures are deceiving on all counts, specifically the size of the room. This is in no way a luxury hotel. It was very far from Paris and the main airport. There were too many beds in the room which did not help with the space situation of the already miniature room. The walls are paper thin. The area was quiet enough but this is probably a result of the hotel being so far away from any considerable civilization and it was the month of Paris being on vacation. It was our fault for being fooled by the discreet pictures displayed. In other words, keep looking!!

REALLY GOOD HOTEL

I trully recommend this hotel to anyone wanting not to stay in the center of paris. The hotel is only 8 mins by train and the train station is only a 10 min walk. The neighborhood is really nice, there are 2 markets near by restaurants and other really cool stuff. I really liked cachan made me want to stay longer the staff was wonderful, they made me very happy for staying 6 nights. I only had 3 nights planned but decided to stay 3 more and just rest from all the traveling. The free internet in the room the great no having to go down stairs. Only wish the maid mopped everyday-

This hotel is ok.

The carpet on the hallway smelled bad . There is no room service and the surrounding restaurants and store close very early so make sure you have food in your room. There is no cable or English channel so you can't watch any news . You feel isolated . They turn off Internet signal in the middle of the night. We lost Internet connection almost the same time each night.

Ok hotel but the cleaning service could be better

I stayed at this hotel on two different occasions. The first time around my stay was good but the second time around I encountered some problems. When I checked in the receptionists gave me a key to a room and when I entered the room the maid showed up and said that the room wasn't ready and it wasn't. The maid checked us into another room that was supposedly \"clean\". The floor was sticky everywhere in the room and in the restroom. I didn't make a fuss because I was very tired and just wanted to sleep. The next couple of days after the maid \"cleaned\" I observed that the floors were never vacuumed or mopped. I had something fall on the floor and when I picked it up I noticed dirt everywhere on the floor and under the beds. Also every evening when I returned to the room the beds were never made nicely the sheets were thrown and the pillows were tossed and stayed where ever they happened to land. The sheets were also never changed, it was the same ones and I know because there was a stain and I saw the same stain everyday of my stay. Another day when I came into the room I found a the blanket to the bed rolled up in a ball on top of the armoire/ mini closet. I wish hotels.com would allow me to post pictures I took pictures of all of this.

The good thing about this hotel is that the front desk staff is friendly and the location is great. It is a 15 minute walk to the metro train which takes you directly into Paris (about 20 minutes) and the Charles de Gaulle Airport. Or there are also bus stops about a block away that will take you to the train. Also near the hotel there are several shops and restaurants- a grocery store, bakery, pharmacy, post office.

If the maids did a better job and keeping the place clean I would give this place a higher rating.

Comfort Hotel - Cachan Paris - American travelers

My husband, baby and I went to Paris for a long weekend/our anniversary. The staff speaks fairly decent english, definitely enough to help us out, and were very friendly. If you are European, the rooms here will be of no surprise to you, but for Americans, the \"tight quarters\" can be a little frustrating, especially if you have children. We live in Germany, so were pretty used to it. BUT, the room was very clean, has air-conditioning, and was smoke-free and quiet.

The location is great, about 3-4 miles from Paris. It's a 10 minute walk to the RER station, which will take you right to downtown, and then you're not paying all the outrageous hotel prices that are in the city.

There is also a little convenient store around the corner to get drinks and snacks. Overall, very pleased!

À 11 min du métro à pied, idéal pour visiter Paris. Réception ouvert 24 /24.
Au final bon rapport qualité prix. Bon compromis pour une proximité sur Paris à des prix raisonnables surtout pour cette capitale.

Für den Preis, ist das Hotel nicht so schlecht vorallem wenn man vor hat dort nur zu schlafen. Der Lift war leider ausser Betrieb. Es konnte sauberer sein, vorallem das Bad. Der Duschvorhand war längst zu ersetzen, da es sich bereits Schimmel gebildet hat. Der Duschkopf war mit Kalk bedeckt. Zum Glück war das Zimmer mit Laminatboden verlegt. Im Gang jedoch Teppichboden und es hat auch deswegen gestunken. Die Klimaanlage im Zimmer funktionierte super gut. Die Metrostation ist in 10 Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar. Es gibt Lebensmittelläden und einige Restaurants in der Nähe. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich.

Après plusieurs passages dans cet hôtel (pour lequel j’étais très satisfaite), mon dernier séjour a été très décevant.
L’état de la chambre était inadmissible (cf photos). Poussière «épaisse», calcaire sur robinetterie, draps tachés...
J’y suis restée 2 nuits mais la chambre n’a pas été refaite entre deux : lit non fait (voire changé vu l’état des draps - taches «cachées» côté pied du lit), manque de produits et linge de toilette, plus de café à disposition...).
Le personnel de l’accueil a cependant été correct puisqu’il nous a proposé un autre chambre, mais CECI NE DEVRAIT PAS ARRIVER !

This hotel is disgusting, outdated rooms with a total lack on maintenance for many years. Not worth more than 100 Euro's per night.
Most important the dirty rooms which are filthy with dried splatters on the doors and walls, cracks in the ceiling and everything under dust and stains. Even the coffee and juice machine are never cleaned as the slime blobs are under the juice tap all 3 days I've been here.
The first room I got was stinking and even worse, the pictures here are from the \"better\" room.

Je recommande cet établissement pour son personnel chaleureux et attentionné. On sent que l'ambiance de travail est très bonne et cela se ressent! Tout le personnel est sympathique, même les femmes de ménage qui sont adorables.
Il est bien situé, à proximité du centre de ville et du campus ENS pour les étudiants qui y passent des concours.

J'ai relevé que les voilages étaient sales et que les draps étaient propres mais troués en plusieurs endroits, ce qui est tout de même inacceptable pour le tarif en vigueur. Je sugggère aussi d'installer un grille-pain dans la salle à manger pour le petit-déjeuner.
Sinon, gentillesse et amabilité parfaites, et stockage du bagage parfait.
Je reviendrai bientôt car l'hôtel est pratique pour moi pour des raisons familiales.

Hotel correcto en todos los sentidos, a unos 700 metros de una estación RER B, restaurantes cerca y en el mismo hotel, así como supermercados. Desayuno correcto. Esta cerca del Aeropuerto de Orly. Personal muy amable.

Chambre 412, la clim ne fonctionne pas, première nuit moyenne, deuxième nuit salle de bien pas faite, les serviette pas changées, pas de shampoing, pas de café dans la chambre. Nuit très chaude, un peu déçu par rapport à nos autres visites. Salutations

Udmærket billigt hotel, der leverer en hædelig morgenmad og et OK værelse, beliggende i en absolut rolig del af storbyen. Gåafstand til tog og metro for at komme til centrum er ca. 800 meter.
