A few issues bothered us:t
- we were 3 bu3rd bed was nor ready althoughwe checked in late (we had to wait till 10pm) *2nd couple of slippers - unwrapped, and included 2 left ones (no 3rd at all). And we felt you need slippers in this room)
Also - it is a strange feeling in the toilet - it is like on an aircraft. Nothing wrong, just strange.
But alll and all - good hotel with friendly service and great location (bus stop on the corner - 3 buses, 3 stops to the city center). Nice variation for breakfst, and once more - very friendly helpful staff.

Great but one flaw

Stayed for a night on our way back to Calais, it turns out this is a popular thing to do at this hotel as it was very busy.
The hotel is in a great location, clean and very comfy beds. Staff are really friendly and helpful. The one thing that lets this place down is the breakfast experience. Food was good enough but the area where it is served can’t cope with a lot of people. Lack of tables, queues for food and plates weren’t replenished quick enough. However, above all, this place was great and we’d definitely start again, we’ll just try to get to breakfast before everyone else.

A well located hotel with lovely staff

Welcoming and helpful staff both on reception and during breakfast. The room was spotless and well equipped although there should be a couple of bottles of water in the room. There was 2 glasses in the fridge but no water on a hot day. Otherwise it was great.

We appreciate owners front desk helped us to get a cab. when our Uber did not show up. The couch pull out was 2 smaller cots and they were squeaky and not very comfortable (lumpy). When we stayed here in January, the pullout couch was 1 bed and it was very comfortable.

Perfect for family stopover

We had a stop off en route south. The family room had perfect facilities with two single beds for the children and a large double. Also a fridge and microwave to prepare snacks or breakfast. Just what we needed with a child needing specialist food.

The room was spacious and comfortable, the shower/sink area is small. The staff was very friendly and there was a nice coffee machine in the lobby with free coffee, which we appreciated. The location was not great and you only have a strip of restaurants nearby and walking to the city center was far, so we drove and parked there, but the hotel area felt safe.

The rooms are large, spacious and comfortable. But the bathroom and toilet are separated, but both are that cheap, all-in-one plastic room, it makes you feel like you are on a plane or a ferry. The bathroom is ok and the shower is powerful, although did leak into the main part of the bathroom, but It's really disappointing that the design of the bathroom and toilet (in particular) is so cheap in a 4 star hotel. Breakfast is ok, very small pastries. You will definitely be hungry still if you do the express breakfast (1 coffee and 1 pastry for 5 euros). The staff were all great though. Location is good, right on the river and walking distance to the old town. I would probably stay again, but I would definitely look elsewhere first, purely down to the terrible bathroom and toilet (mainly the toilet) design.

Nice Hotel Near Historic Rouen

Novotel Suites is a modern, comfortable hotel that sits across from the Seine and is close to the historic district of Rouen. The front desk staff spoke excellent English and were very accommodating. We arrived before check-in time, but they arranged for our room to be readied while we parked our car in their secured underground lot. Our room was roomy and clean with a nice bathroom and comfy bed. We enjoyed a late lunch at one of the many restaurants and bars across the street along the riverwalk. Later on we walked over to the historic district to view the famous cathedral and the site of Joan of Arc's execution. We took advantage of the express check out the next morning.

Very nice

We used this as a stopover on our way through to the Alps, and was perfect for this.

Easy to get to, secure underground parking (additional charge but worth it for peace of mind).

Family room perfect for us with two boys who were happy to share a large double bed. Room was clean and fresh, had all we needed.

No restaurant as such unless you're looking for pizza, but plenty of choice for dinner just a short walk away by the river.

Breakfast was very good, nice selection and good quality.

Overall very happy with our one night stay, and would be happy to recommend based on our experience.

Perfect place to stay for a few nights iN Rouen or as an overnight stop when heading to the Vendee or Charente-Maritime. We have stayed a few times.

The secure car park provides peace of mind. You dont need to empty your car if you Fe just passing tbrough.

I would suggest a few tea bags, sachets of Coffee, and some milk would no amiss.

The fridge kettle etc are a bit pointless without mugs etc. But hey.

This property was in a good location to central Ruben right by the river with limited parking at the hotel itself. Breakfast a little bit expensive, but if you walk into town has plenty of Cafes to grab something to eat.
Chicken, staff, friendly and dealt with our queries, swiftly and professionally. We had a room for two adults and two children, which was large and spacious and clean setting would recommend on my return again.

Back home via Rouen

We always stay at this Novotel hotel on the way back through France to the UK.we always get a Family a suite which are excellent rooms for a family of 3 or 4.

However on this occasion the room smelt of stale cigarette smoke and despite the best efforts of the staff they could not remove the smell. We were offered a round of drinks from the bar and a free breakfast to compensate.

The hotel itself and the room were fine, however the air conditioning did not work and the room was very very hot overnight. Also, although not the fault of the hotel, the outside traffic noise and constant beeping of car horns until well into the early hours meant keeping the window open was not an option either.

We stayed here for an overnight stay on our way to Royan. The room was okay but s bit dark due to only having two small windows.

The room has a fridge and microwave but I thought they were a bit mean in not providing enough milk for 4 people to have hot drinks. I did ask and got some more only to be told they only had 3 pots left!

My wife really disliked the hair dryer and I can understand why. It was just a Hoover style hose that got really hot to touch. A basic hairdryer from a supermarket would have done a better job!

Dont let my comments put you off. We all got a great night's sleep. The car park is secure so you don't need to empty your car and it is perfect for picking up the motorway down towards Bordeaux and the shower is superb. Good room if you can get it for the right price.

No aircon and stinky old toilets

There is basically no air con in this hotel . They even ran out of fans. When there was some kind of leak in the bathroom the receptionist came to the room and put bath towels on the carpet, so unhygenic and she said we could change rooms which we had to do eventually as the room smelt. The other room was even worse as the bathroom door did not even shut as it was swollen with water. The most disgusting thing was that one of the toilets had blood in it. They then just told us to change rooms yet again ,an entire day wasted and we had to repack our things to go to the next room. This time we were third time lucky and the room was ok. Be prepared for loads of noise from the road below and even when it is hot at night you cannot keep the window open. Carpets are rather old in the rooms as well. How this hotel is classified as a 4 star beyond me.

Perfect short stop over

N/ot right in the city centre, but easy enough to walk into the city centre which involves a nice little stroll along the river. Takes about 20-25 mins to get into the city centre, but was perfect for us as we were able to park right outside the hotel for free and it was nice and quiet, which meant we all had a restful night.
The staff were really helpful and provided detailed and accurate directions on how to get into the city centre.
Breakfast buffet was plentiful and free for the kids so great value for money and would definitely recommend for a short stop over in a beautiful city.

Convenient family friendly hotel.

This hotel was a good halfway stopping off place travelling from Brittany back to Calais. Location is about a 20 minute walk to Rouen old town which is wonderful and well worth a visit. The hotel is no frills but relatively clean and comfortable and the staff were pleasant and helpful. However the air conditioning was completely ineffective which meant we had to have the windows open which was very noisy. The hotel parking is questionable, we had to park nearby on the street.

The hotel is situated a walk from the town centre which is not a problem if you can walk for 20 minutes. The facilities, staff and room were excellent, only downside was €12 car parking per night but there is limited free car parking around the hotel building. It is a good hotel for a 1 night stop over but if i were to stay for a weekend i would look to stay closer to the city centre.

It was OK as a budget stop off point. The \"suite\" was very cramped. It was lightly cleaned. Obvious crumbs over the chairs and floor in our room. Marks on the walls and pubic hairs in the shower. The cot hadn't been provided, despite requesting. On a positive note the breakfast was really nice. Despite the pubic hair, the bathroom facilities were fairly good. The poor girl on check in was alone and rushing about doing everything. The local area was quite run down. Dog poo everywhere, rats running around and quite smelly. The prices were higher than we experienced at our location in Southern France. It was a stop off point and 2 nights was too long. I wouldn't do it again. Le Mans was a nice stop off point, which we used on the way down to Dordogne. We ventured out to Le Havre and salvaged a nice day out on the seafront.

A short walk along the river to the Old Town.

Our room was very spacious modern and comfortable. Breakfast was included and the choice of hot and cold food and beverages was very good. We took advantage of the secure underground parking for a small fee.

Perfect stop over on our way home

The rooom was not very clean. There was some dust in the corners. The bathroom, toilette and the beds were clean.
The location of the hotel is not bad, the city center can be reached by a 10-15 minutes walk.
At the river side there are nice restaurants nearby the hotel.

If only all reception staff were like this!

Took a party of 14 people here. Lovely helpful staff at reception who really tried hard to make our stay so enjoyable. Lovely bright clean rooms with a kitchenette. Parking for the minibus right outside. Secure underground car park for our MPV. €12 a day. Breakfast was expensive so we ate elsewhere. Shops and cafes nearby. Lovely walk along the riverside into the city.

Modern hotel near River Seine

The outside of the hotel does look like an office building as it shares the space with other businesses but once inside the reception area is very welcoming. The receptionist Stephanie was very informative. There is designated parking for the hotel under the building which carries a daily charge. The rooms are suites which make them a good size and include a fridge and microwave. The room we had was for three adults and there was definitely lots of room. They are fitted out with modern furniture and our room had a separate toilet and a bathroom with a bath & shower. We stayed 2 nights and found the beds very comfortable. We didn’t have breakfast but there are tables in the reception area for you to do so. The hotel is about a 20 min walk from the town centre, part of it along the recently renovated quayside of the Seine.
