Convenient to main routes. 2 hours away from Calais. Room was quiet but disabled access was limited. Bathroom was adapted for disabled guest but the shower was the most tricky I have ever had to get into.

We spent one night in the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a good night's stay. It also felt very secure. The staff were very helpful and gave us excellent help in getting the bus to the city centre for sightseeing. The hotel is in a good location for access to the motorway and has a very big Carrefour supermarket 10 minutes walk away. I would recommend this hotel for an overnight stay to and from Calais.

Good overnight stop.

Room was basic and quite small and needs updating but it was clean and functional, had al we needed fora brief overnight stop on way to ferry. Staff were very helpful before and during our stay.
Sleep was disturbed by couple aruqing in early hours in the car park but not hotel's fault.
Felt room price rather high for standard of accommodation. Safe car park.

The welcome was pleasant and helpful with patience and tolerance of my attempt at French. All was explained and the rooms were as expected, clean and well presented.
The evening meal options were plentiful and good value. Will stay here again!

A very good overnight stop on the way to the port. The room was standard for Campanile. Our only criticism would be that there were no international t.v. channels and the light switch for the desk was under it! the bed so we had to crawl to switch it on. No coffee or tea supplied.
Bed and pillows were very comfortable.Everything was very clean.Check in was quick. The allocated room was nearest to the road, so we were able to get one facing inward towards the car park, which was much quieter. Very good evening meal, reasonably priced wine. Good breakfast. Pleasant service. .Secure car park. Covid safe. Recommend asking for inward facing rooms as the hotel is on a busy junction. Easy access to motorway. We will be back!

This was just what we wanted, a clean and quiet place to stay on the way down to the Loire Valley. We chose Campanile because we knew we'd be arriving after 9 pm and didn't want to risk not getting booked in. The place is manned and has a restaurant. I can't recommend highly enough the 'Ardoise' mixed shared platter with cheese and meats, with 1.5 l of beer - all for 20 euros. It just hit the spot for us!.

Stayed one night to break up a long journey. Perfect at a reasonable price. Very friendly staff and a restaurant open late on a Sunday evening. Good entrée and dessert buffet with choice of mains. Room quiet at night but a bit of morning noise as it's near a college. All the usual features of a Campanile room. Excellent shower and good buffet breakfast. Handy for autoroute. Free wifi but not very fast so good for radio and emails.

We were greeted by a surly member of staff and there was a problem with keys to the rooms which was later fixed. The room was ok but the decor was tasty and some of the lights did not work.However the breakfast was excellent , one of the best buffet breakfasts we have had anywhere.

Noisy campanile

Campanile are no longer the cheap stopover. By the time you add the meal the dogs the breakfast 100 euros lighter. The walls are so thin you hear you neighbours coughing. The bathroom was tired with the old fashioned hip bath with was tricky to get in and off at best. Not only that we woken up by our neighbours at 5 am who were leaving and had forgotten the passcode. Grrr. Pillows too soft, mattress springy and I mean feeling the springs. The staff were lovely

Typical stopover offering - big plus is that there is a restaurant on site; there is a secure car park and the staff are super helpful and friendly.

Good place to break the jpurney?

Dinner in the restaurant and breakfast the following day were both good - much better than any budget hotel in the UK. The room as expected was basic but that was all we wanted. However it was hot and the air conditioning did not work (natural ventilation is limited by the motel-style design of the hotel), and the following morning after washing her hair my wife found that the hairdryer didn't work either. We did meet another couple who were staying again after several previous enjoyable visits so perhaps we were just unlucky.

Good value for the money!

Good stopping off hotel for one night. Campanile Hotels are all the same and are functional motels. The food is perfectly adequate and Children enjoy the buffet style starter and puddings and, of course, thee breakfast.
The layout of the Campanile in the south of Rouen is better, and quieter than this one however.
I will certainly use Campanile again when the need arises. It is excellent value for money - you get what you pay for!

Pleasant motel style accomodation on the outskirts of Rouen.

Check in was easy and staff were friendly. Rooms are basic but were clean and with adequate facilities. A bath mat would have been appreciated to prevent slipping when showering.

The attached restaurant was a bonus with excellent options and a good selection of drinks.

I will return to the chain in preference to others.

We stay at this hotel each time we go to and from our second home in central France, as Rouen is a convenient distance from the Channel Tunnel terminal. I suppose we must have been going more than ten years now, so we are known to the owners and staff who always treat us with friendly courtesy. We usually arrive about 9.30pm and turn up at the restaurant at about 9.40pm: sometimes we are the only diners left in there but there is alwys something nice to eat that is freshly served. I was looking forward to an omelette this time but one was not available and I chose one of the special dishes of the day, a gratin of endive, ham and bacon served with salad leaves, which was really delicious.

My only gripe is that for sometime they have provided very fat and squashy second pillows which are just the wrong height for my neck and give me pins and needles in my arms due a nerve being somehow pinched. One ordinary pillow is too low and this plus a squashy one is too high. The squashy one on its own isn't right either. But I suppose it is all a matter of personal preference.

General overview

Finding the hotal through a maze of small streets quite difficult, but perhaps that was the Sat Nav, as the hotel is next to a main road, that made it a bit noisy. Very clean room and bathroom well appointed. The bed matress and pillow not o the best quality, but when tired you can sleep on anything. The food varied a lot. The self service starter was very good, but the kitchen prepared main course was very poor and expensive for what is was. Although the car park was 2/3 full, there was only one couple in the dining room. At breakfast time, which covers a long time span, I saw nobody. What does this tell you.

Should be getting better but disappointed

Rooms are looking a little tired. The restaurant buffets are reasonable but some of the mains are boil in the bag quality.Pave de Salmon was very pale and tasteless, gammon steak was very thin and appeared to have only grilled on one side.Suggest a good B & B but give dinner a miss.

Good hotel on the outskirts of Rouen

A good welcome.

Although hotel is situated on the outskirts, the bus service into town is okay. Did have our own transport as well. Parking facilities are fine.

Made good use of Carrefour supermarket 600m away.

Good choice on the breakfast buffet and also good menu choice at the restaurant for an evening meal. However, prices are perhaps a little expensive. Was nice to have a small sitting area with TV and a book shelf.

Hotel on way to and from Spain- stayed both ways

Going down to Spain - fantastic nights sleep! - return - from Spain difficult - had requested a ground floor room because of heart surgery - on way back I was given a room on the on upper level - two rooms booked - separated by another - in the other 2 a group of young people who were obviously not facing a 400 mile journey next day.
Why do Campaniles refuse to put families together in adjoining rooms - and why do they then allow groups of younger people in to rooms next to those who actually need to sleep at night
We were in rooms 17 and 19 - our noisy neighbours in 18 and 20! No chance of being prepared for next day.

Stayed for one night on our way South. Easy to find from A28 situated in a business area next to a roundabout but noise was not an issue. Rooms basic but clean and comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities. Staff friendly, helpful and do speak some English. Secure car parking for hotel guests. Restaurant on site, food quality was good but menu was limited, buffet breakfast. Would stay here again.

We were made welcome as soon as we arrived. We were located in a ground floor room as requested which was very clean and warm as we went in and shut the door. Easy access to the car just outside. Very nice meal in the restaurant in the evening and plenty to eat at breakfast if required. Look forward to going again to this hotel sometime in the future.

Our stay was good. We did not need to use our car to drive into the town off Rouen. All we needed to do was take the #4 bus into town that was directly across the Street from the Hotel. Depending on the time you might have to walk 10 min's down the road across from the food Market to get the Bus. Not a big deal. It was better to leave the car in the Hotel parking lot for free. We also stayed in the room all day one day while it was bad weather. The food at the hotel was very good. We had the salad Bar and the Main Course. Main Course we picked was Beef Bourgignon . The Salad Bar was great and so was the Main Course. I highly Recommend it. The lady at the Front Desk and all the Staff are very nice and helpful. This is much better and cost effective then staying in the Town.

Rooms basic but clean and comfortable. always have additional pillows in room if you ask at time of booking. Staff are helpful and friendly and are able to communicate in English should you wish. The dinner menu looks reasonable but in fact most items are a bit boil in the bag tasting. The current head office dictum does not work, the buffet has been pared down and whilst there are 4 choices of dish of the day the quality is not good.

The room had a double bed and a basic trundle bed for an adult with very little room for movement. We were going to have dinner in the restaurant, but the young staff member who greeted us was so unwelcoming that we left and went elsewhere. The toilet seat needed mending and the tiles were mouldy. Disappointing.

Brilliant for an overnight stay.

Having travelled up from the South of France, I just wanted somewhere convenient to stay before journeying on to the Channel Tunnel for my return to the UK. This hotel is ideally suited as it is convenient for the autoroute and it is on the northern side of Rouen, which can be troublesome to get through, so that is out of the way. The rooms are fairly basic but do contain all the necessities for an overnight stay. More importantly the bed was very comfortable so I was guaranteed a decent night's sleep. Should you require it, there is a reasonable restaurant on site for an evening meal and breakfast. I can't comment on the quality of the food as I had eaten before I arrived and left before breakfast, but the restaurant looked attractive enough. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which added to my satisfaction with a pretty brief stay.

Lobby and restaurant are modern and quite nice but the rooms are old and tired. Bed was comfy enough but the pillows bit hard for me. It is just a short walk to a Buffalo Grill which always works for us. Overall it was cheep and clean so did the job for a one night stop over. Wouldn't want to stay any longer though.

A very good place to stay

High standard of decor, very clean and comfortable beds, the well designed bathroom is a decent size. The village is on the outskirts of Rouen and we got the bus from the Carrefour supermarket about one third of a mile away, into Rouen. The staff were helpful and the food was fine. I would recommend a visit to this Campernile.

As an overnight stopover only the hotel and it's staff were ideal.The staff were particularly helpful, friendly and charming and the evening meal was of excellent quality

Room and breakfast good value

Handy access from A28 and easy route from here through town to A13. Room and breakfast what you expect clean and appertising. Dinner menu has been cut back in choice and what remains is very basic.

A Stop Over on the Road

Located right beside a busy road this motel is still a little hard to find. The room was small and clean. The double bed was comfortable and fit up against the wall on one side. There is a surprising busy restaurant that seems to feature buffet salad and dessert bars. Hotel staff were helpful. I would recommend it for anyone needing a single night on the road.

Easy access from A28

Staff are always helpful, hotel provides good clean and comfortable accommodation. Meals are adequate definitely not gormet. Hotel located close to hypermarket for cheap fuel

Overnight stays en route to the Charente

The hotel is well located near to the motorway, there is a large Carrefour Supermarket close by and we were able to fill up with fuel which was very useful. The room was small although on our return night there was a used razor left in the bathroom! We are in the restaurant on one evening and it was fine, very friendly staff who were most helpful and the service was good. We would stay at this hotel again en route.

Close to Motorway for Calais

Was difficult to find from coming from South of Rouen, however good access to motorway for onward journey to Calais. Very Good Customer service at check in. 5 mins from Carrefour supermarket with diesel at one of the lowest prices we had seen in France on our journey.
