This was a modern hotel and very clean. They had a great pool / sauna area. Unfortunately, the beds were too firm for us and no air conditioning in the room. This was the only hotel during our 2 week stay that charged for parking and breakfast, which was disappointing. Luckily we were there on a weekend and there was free parking on the street in front of the hotel.

I love this hotel. The hotel is in a quiet residential area and a converted apartment building. It was experiencing real life in Graz, in a fabulous modern apartment full of exciting artworks. The unit was immaculately kept, and all amenities were of luxury quality. The staff, both at night and in the morning, were friendly and helpful. Every corner of the hotel has witty, fantastic design elements that will delight you. We did not get to try them, but all the amenities, like the pool and conference rooms, look nice, clean, and well-equipped. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Graz, especially those who plan to stay for a while; 'Stay Artful'.

This is a wonderful hotel, very modern, clean with very friendly malt staff with a lovely pool m, sauna and relaxation area with water and fruit Great you can hire bikes quite cheaply from the hotel which is a great way to explore Graz which is a beautiful city.

Staff went out of their way to be helpful. Room was the most comfortable of our 40 day European trip. Amenities stellar, location just a short walk to City Center and well connected with tram lines. A big plus, we got a fabulous room for under $100 per night!

The hotel is filled with bright art and has a small fitness centre and a nice sauna, pool and outdoor lounging area. Breakfast items were thoughtful on the buffet with eggs always made fresh. Every single staff in every role was very helpful for all asks including making sure I had a taxi at 445am. It was about a 10 minute walk to the conference and central areas of Graz. Definitely recommend.

Overall frustrating stay
Check in process was a but disjointed because I arrived before the room was ready. When I did return to check in, the basic info was not given and I had to ask. Thank goodness Diana was on hand to help out, especially when there was an electrical issue in my room and I needed to move. The new room seemed ok initially despite the large squashed bug on the ceiling leftover from a previous stay. As they night went on I had multiple issues with spiders crawling around and the air conditioning was broken making the room more like a sauna. The guest services rep came up twice to try to help, but her suggestion was to open everything up, which only invited more spiders. I also did not think leaving my front door and balcony door open was a very safe idea either. It was a very uncomfortable night. The shower is very slippery. I only mention if someone has mobility issues this could be a big concern for them.Breakfast was good, however, it would be helpful to have a coffee choice in the dining area without having to wait for the one server to be able to attend to everyone in the dining area. Another guest commented on this as well. I thought about using the pool, but in order to do so you have to go down the one elevator and parade though the front lobby where guests were accumulating which made it awkward.

I cannot say enough good things about this beautiful hotel. Staff was excellent and helpful. Hotel was wildly designed with all kinds of art, breakfast was delicious. Pool was great. We rented bikes from the hotel which made our stay in bike-friendly Graz that just easier. We could bike from Hotel to both Schlosses; Eggenberg and the one on the hill in the city. The “Friendly Alien” was two quick bridges up from where we stayed and the food near the hotel was so good. We were sad to leave.

The staff were excellent. They helped organise a local hire car on short notice. And when the hire firm brought the car but no ability to take a card payment the hotel reception staff organised the cash needed for the deposit. They went out of their way to help which saved me running around in the rain to find a cash point. Thank you!!!!

This property, about a ten-minute taxi ride from the train station and a twenty-minute walk from the center, is located in a residential and business area of Graz. The walls and corridors are splattered with contemporary art, providing colour and energy to the facility. My room, 306, was located along an outside corridor, which might be a problem for some during winter walks to the extremely welcoming -- and beautiful -- pool and sauna area. The hotel still uses actual keys, by the way, if that matters to anyone. The staff was quite friendly and accommodating. Magazines and newspapers, mostly in German, are available gratis. Please do not tell management, but they really should be charging more for such very high-quality accommodation.

It was a very comfortable hotel which was very clean and a great breakfast. The staff were very helpful , courteous, and happy to help with any queries. Some of the hotel art pictures were shall we say a bit odd. but it not to everyone taste. It would of been nice to have a kettle in the roome to make a cup of tea. But its minimalistic design I guess would not make it fit the theme. The bed were absolutely great I slept like a log and were clean and spotless to[p makes for the hotel ensuing the standard are high.

I really enjoyed my stay mainly because of the friendly and very helpful staff, who saw to my every need and request. The room was very comfortable and quiet, yet within walking distance to the city centre. It is also convenient for taking the bus to and from the airport. Highly recommended.

We had a nice stay. The rooms are super modern and the views of Graz were stunning! That said, the hotel was about a 15 minute walk from the city proper - while this isn't incredibly far, but the location of the hotel didn't appear to be in the nicest area. Breakfast was great, but it was not complimentary - 15 euros/person, which we found a little expensive.

It was a good stay, however the blinds in the second bedroom were broken resulting in my brother been woken up as soon as the sun came up along with the street lighting coming in. We advised the front desk who sent someone up promptly. Upon viewing the blinds the staff member said he’d be back however we heard nothing further from the staff in relation to this causing another night of troubled sleep for my brother. Otherwise it was a nice apartment, nice area, only let down by the second bedrooms blind’s issue.

Unfortunately our room smelled like smoke and took 24 hours to go away, we left the door open to try and get rid of it. The hotel is suppose to be non smoking so this was disappointing. Air conditioning was nonexistent, tried everything to try and get it to work. It was just outside the center and easy to get into the old city center.

We stayed at Augarten Hotel for 4 nights in order to attend the F1 GP in Spielberg. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff were professional but friendly & helpful also. In advance of the GP I had emailed the hotel to get advice on the best way of travelling to Spielberg and they came back to me promptly with the options available to me, to be fair this is above and beyond what they had to do. We were both very impressed by this he Hotel and hope to stay there again should we be lucky enough to go to the GP again.

Five minutes walk from everything
From checkin to departure, the staff in this hotel were awesome. They made sure that any info regarding the city sights, transport, tickets, recommended local restaurants was volunteered, in perfect English. The hotel itself was full of art, mostly modern, and all good. Parking was a breeze, underneath the hotel. The neighbourhood was just around the corner from the river and an easy walk to the bus/ tram transport hub.

Chose a more modern hotel because the older hotels in Europe are often not air/con and small along with tired. This hotel was great, very new, clean fresh & comfortable. Needed a hotel at short notice due to change in plans. Chose at 'random' from expedia because it had a pool. Very comfortable, clean and nicely designed hotel. A bit odd accessing rooms from an external walk way, but certainly not a problem. Warm, comfortable, clean, spacious, lots of nice 'art', decent sized pool for city centre, underground parking (at an extra charge) and a good breakfast (also at an extra charge).

Why the Hefty Price?
The first night the front desk staff greeting was very congenial, though this was not consistent per person. The set up of the underground parking is convenient as it is connected to the elevator which takes you to your room’s floor. Rolling your bags along the outside of the balcony to your door feels like an American roadside motel. Once inside the steel door you nicely have the ability to close off the noise to the outside with another interior door. The room is a nice comfortable size, with a comfortable clean white, fresh feel. But the furniture while once deemed modern is about 10 years past exceptional. The hanging art inside the room is interesting, as are the works throughout the garage and hotel. The bathroom is uselessly enormous, would have been better to have a larger room. But the cute gift duck sponge and colorful toiletries add a sense of a 4 star-ness to the place as do the free fun magazines, hand-written welcome note, bedside apples and 24hr luxurious pool. Though, there is no coffee or tea in the room. There is a beautiful amount of storage for business stays and wifi is free. Our room offered a massive shared terrace with interesting art sculptures, which over looked nothing much, but offered a nice feel. Because the terrace is shared an open window means you do what your neighbors do and in this case it was smoke all night. Location, regardless of the exact measurements, this is not a convenient walking location to the inner town or old town.

Stayed here for the Start Of Advent festivities and the Krampus Parade. Hotel in good location , only 5 minute walk from town centre. On arrival we were greeted by fantastic reception staff who showed us to our room which they had upgraded us to an apartment. The apartment was very big amd minimilistic. Few scrapes and scuffs on the walls but nothing majorly wrong. Well stocked minibar in a working fridge. WiFI signal excellent. Breakfast not the cheapest but quality is excellent and if you have a good breakfast it is well worth it. Pool and gym looked tidy and clean but we didn't use it. Overall very good. We would stay here again if visiting Graz.

An excellent if slightly quirky hotel. There is a lot of original artwork dotted around the building and the guest rooms. Staff were very friendly and generally helpful. Breakfast can be had in the Garden in summer. My room was very spacious and the wi fi worked perfectly.

Unique and modern option close to city center
I was in Graz on business and the hotel was a block from the office--so a great location in that regard. It took only 10 minutes to walk to the city center. The rooms were clean and up to date. The only complaint was that the air conditioning did not seem to work quite right. Of course, in Europe air conditioning is rather subtle compared to the US. The best feature was the daily breakfast available for a moderate charge. It was typical European with meats, cheeses and breads--also smoked salmon--on white linens. You could also get eggs to order.

Nice Hotel, convenient location - very happy staff
I travel a lot, through business and pleasure - staying in hotels that are medium priced mainly. This hotel ticks all the boxes for me - the service was great, the interior is funky, yet not pretentious, the rooms are adequate, the location fine. Our room had a nice balcony, and upon entering the room found a handwritten welcome note. Breakfast was excellent, everything you could want.
This hotel is not going to suit the traveller that wants the big 5 star experience, but for a functional hotel, with a nice twist, this should keep most satisfied.
My only complaint is that upon arrival, the hotel did not have an Iron available - only a service for the next day. As most travellers pack in a suitcase, I would imagine most would need an iron soon after arriving - however, this was not possible.

We were only here one night, but the staff was wonderful and very helpful from check in, looking for a place to eat, (restaurant was closed for the Austrian holiday), to checking out. Very warm and friendly people. Had reserved a room for 3 plus our dog, and was not expecting a fully furnished apartment with full kitchen, living room and huge terrace. Too bad we weren't there in warmer weather take advantage of the terrace. Internet access is a little wierd, but wifi worked fine once we got it going. Definitely was impressed, and again, can't compliment the nice staff enough.

I stayed in this hotel for only one night and was upgraded to the apartments - massive room with a massive balcony. Overall a nice hotel with nice people. Only annoying thing was the safe in the room was making intermittent beeping sounds, even though I didn't use it, and there was construction outside the hotel which started at 7AM and woke me up.

This hotel was very clean and comfortable. Our room was exactly what we had requested. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Because it is located several blocks from the city center, there was little street noise. It was an easy ten-minute walk to the city center. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. It is an excellent value for a moderately priced hotel.

Large Room with a comfortable bed. Had shutters for the windows which helped reduce light and noise. The best thing about this room was that it had a small kitchenette which was marvellous after 3 weeks of restaurant meals.
