Did not use food or spa, not pushed by staff to use facilities, brocure for spa seems for female's only.
This is not a hotel as such but no hotplate to cook on in room,
Very cheap decor, ie plastic and wood and everywhere painted same colour light brown.

1st time staying at the Riviera Vista and I can say I wasn’t disappointed. Fantastic spacious clean apartment, great views of the sea. All staff were very friendly and helpful nothing was ever a bother for them. Great pool plenty of sun loungers and kept very clean. I will definitely return to the Riviera Vista again.

The hotel itself was at odds with what it provided- a Spa & Gymn that would have limited use, yet when we asked about a bar this only existed poolside until 5.30pm or after eating in the restaurant but that closed at 9.30pm!
We also had to complain about a glass panel broken around the sundeck but this took 2 days before being looked at...receptionist i spoke to tried to argue it was fixed when clearly it wasn't which was why i was querying it was still dangerous. Won't be returning.

Perfect Quiet Hotel

Perfect location for a very quiet holiday. Hotel is beautiful with a lovely pool and sunbathing area, the lift/bridge to the beach is wonderful and definately a highlight of the hotel. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Food was average. Parking spaces are limited outside the hotel so had to park further down the road, but not a problem. The pool was lovely and very clean. I would say this hotel is suited more for adults only, not much for children to do. We will stay again.

Comfortable and relaxing, great location.

The location is great. Not the huge concentration of mega hotels like Peurto Rico or Playa Ingles. Easy beach access and a few nice restaurants in which to eat and a grocery store a 2 minute walk down the road. The suite was large and comfortable with a full kitchen and wonderful balcony. I would stay here again in a heartbeat

Poor cleanliness in the room. Don't expect the bed sheets/linen to be changed during your stay (1 week in our case). Booked half-board but on arrival was advised that only room was booked. Initially mentioned that food bills could be settled when vacating room but was hassled for food bill payments after 1 days' stay. Would not recommend for a family stay. Centrall controlled Air-conditioning with no temperature adjustments in rooms. Poor Hygeine, standards and poor attitude towards guests. Really unhappy to have wasted my money here.

I have nothing to recommend about this place aside from the views towards the sea. Towards the opposite mountain side it looks like a derelict building site.
Takes 15 minutes to check in 2 people although the staff are friendly. Both breakfast and dinner is below average. Rooms are perhaps ok. Gym is nothing to think about. Kids booked for the SPA but were fobbed off twice the morning. Location is at the top of a long hills so if you're not in reasonable good shape then expect some good hill training to get to the nearest shop or actually anything for that matter

We were very disappointed with the hotel. Although we were only staying one night, our experience was not a great one. The electronic device allowing entry to our room was woeful, made worse without any outside light. We had to ask for help. The receptionist came and was very polite and managed, after a few attempts to open the door. We were going out for something to eat soon after and, despite several attempts to lock the door, we had to resort to leaving it unlocked, with all our bags inside, hoping we weren’t robbed. The furnishings in the room were cheap and nasty and the bedding, especially, the pillows, were lumpy and limp.

We paid over £100, without breakfast, which we considered completely over the top for the standard of the accommodation. The outside area was very nice and has wonderful views, however.

We feel that the hotel needs to upgrade their rooms to warrant the price charged and pay greater attention to the entry/exit to the rooms. On leaving the next morning, we witnessed another family attempting to get into their room, without success, so it wasn’t just us!!

Everything was just amazing , me and my friends occupied 2005, 2007 and 2009 rooms , which had the best view and were located where the swimming pool was... my room was huge, just the shower was bigger than my kitchen, the decoration was so urban , simple but so posh in the same time, there was even a small kitchen were you could prepare small meals which was very useful.
The breakfast was not included, so we had to pay for it, but it was totally worth it, the buffet was huge with a large variety of selection of sandwiches, savoury or deserts ( go for the traditional ones they are the best churros fresh baked , yum yum )
The service, everyone was so kind, the cleaners kept our rooms super clean and the ladies cleaning were always so smiley and nice and more specifically the receptionist guy called \"Jerai\" he helped us with everything regrading the taxi, places to visit or to eat ... Thank you so much Jerai , you made our holidays even more special.
In conclusion I definitely recommend hotel riviera vista, it is on the top three hotels I ever stayed!!!

Great Hotel with helpful friendly staff. In a quiet place with stunning views. Food was good and they made special meals for my son who can be a bit fussy. Nothing was too much trouble. A place where you can just relax in beautiful surroundings in stunning weather. Will definitely be going back.

Was a lovely stay, hotel was beautiful and clean. Staff very helpful and willing to help. Can't fault cleaners, rooms were spotless ! One downside, lack of parking. Had my elderly parents with me and couldn't get parked near hotel and had to walk up steep hill with them every day. We would go back but parents were exhausted with the climb to hotel.

Nice hotel but Quiet location with limited parking

It was very quiet when we stayed. Its a nice hotel and the staff are friendly. Rooms only cleaned / bins emptied on an infrequent basis. The pool area is good, and even when quiet no ball games or toys allowed in pool so all the kids staying were not impressed. Food was good. Overall a nice hotel and would probably stay there again. Definitely need a car unless relying on taxis as its a steep hill walk upto the hotel, but note that parking is limited so may still have to walk up the hill after finding somewhere to park.

Great location

We had a great apartment, once you get over the bedroom at the back you will enjoy great views in a quiet location and a good not busy pool and really nice staff. The parking is not great but it's OK and I'd recommend a car to got to Puerto Mogan or similar at night. The next door beach has a great local bar local restaurant good for swimming nice sand and is easy to walk to from the lift. We are pretty fussy people and this hotel was better than expected well done Riviera Vista

Nice hotel, modern design and nice pool/sun lounge area. Breakfast was good. Had a sea view and that was well worth paying the extra for. Playa Del Cura is really quiet which is nice..we walked to Amadores and Puerto Rico by going along the beach and then following the coastal path. Our hotel room was nice, big and clean.

Beware though if you have mobility problems or perhaps are a little older as this hotel is up quite a steep hill and its quite hard dragging your suitcases up there!

Some restaurants and a really good Spa supermarket nearby and also very close to the bus stop but it is very quiet. Can easily get a bus/taxi to nearby Amadores though and Puerto Rico if you want to eat somewhere different in the evenings.

Great beach location, views, good price,quiet town

Overall a great stay in a quiet location outside of the far more touristy areas on Gran Canaria. Our room had a great view of the beach and sunset from the balcony. Parking can be tough in the immediate lot, but there should be more to find down the hill. Conveniently has a supermarket down the street and some restaurants. Short drive away from the rest of the beaches and other sights on the island. The check-in wasn't the greatest experience, as the staff kind of rushed us through and skipped over some important details like giving us the remote for the A/C in the room. Also, only free wifi in the lobby, otherwise paid wifi in the rooms. Beach is conveniently accessible with the private elevator. Has a nice pool and also lots of chairs to lounge on its pool deck. Microwave and fridge with diningware were also good enough for our needs.

Amazing value for money

I cannot fault this place for the service I received while here that I would definitely come back to stay.
Meals within the hotel are reasonable priced for the size and taste of the dishes. Only thing is that there is no children' menu as such but the hotel was very accommodating at making meals for my child.
The pool area was clean and there are loads of loungers throughout the area, with a 'no reserve' policy in place.
Free Wi-Fi is only in the reception area, where you need to buy access each day to use in your room. It would be nice to have free Wi-Fi throughout the communal areas at least since most people reside by the pool area each day.
Transport links (buses) are really regular so venturing away is not hard. Plus the hotel's unique access to the beach via a lift is so pretty yet safe. Finally, having free access to the gym and spa facilities is a nice touch if you want to use as a guest, although spa treatments can be quite expensive compared to prices I have paid in the past for similar.

Lovely hotel but a nightmare at arrival

First impressions was the hotel looked lovely but unfortunately when we arrived at 10 pm at night ,after travelling all day ,they said there was no record of our 3 day stay. The sweet but inexperienced receptionist then proceeded to tell us that we had to pay £118 for one night and then after that there was no other accommodation available . We had already paid in full for 3 nights. The hotel then said the room was cancelled a week ago by Expedia . After eventually getting hold of Expedia the helpful gentleman advised us it was the hotels fault and talked to them ,but we still weren't sure we had 3 days accommodation and it was very upsetting . We eventually stayed that night and in the morning ,one of the staff ( not the manager !) apologised to my husband and said it was their fault after all and there was a room for us. There was no complimentary bottle of wine or anything for the upset and the manager kept her distance. On the positive -the junior suite was beautiful with a stunning view. The pool was fun and my daughter loved it. Shame about the first night and I would stay again -but would ring and double check next time !

Fantastic place to stay in Gran Caneria

Amazing pool area, great staff in pool bar, plenty of sunbeds and a really nice breeze. Lift to the beach is a really nice touch.

Hotel restaurant is good, they were very accommodating to our requests.

Some nice places to eat close by (Steak House and Delicias) and a Spar shop. 1 min walk to the Playa del Cura bus stop. The busses on the island are really good and you can get to most places cheaply! Puerto Mogan is really nice and has loads of great restaurants. The bus to/from the airport is only €9 and is a nice air conditioned coach.

The room was really nice and clean with a decent fridge and good air conditioning.
Only negatives were main hotel lift could do with refurbishment and double bed was two singles pushed together.

Quite and clean hotel. The room was so quiet (we had a junior suite) and it remained dark in the mornings - thanks to the blackout curtains and the mountain!

The balcony was adequate size, overlooked the sea and soaked with evening sunshine.

One bar, a Spar shop and a couple of restaurants in the local area. Regular buses to Puerto de Mogan Puerto Rico (€1.40 single).

Nice pool, though not big, and plenty of loungers. Easy access to the beach via the lift.

About 8 parking spaces and often a few spaces on the road towards the hotel (not really too steep unless you struggle with hills!)

Staff are super friendly and helpful.

Great value and would hope to return.

Relaxing Hoilday.

Very relaxing and peaceful holiday. Rooms were clean and modern. The hotel staff were extremely helpful. The location suits me but a bit remote so it wouldn't suit everyone. The only problem we had was the locking system on the doors was very difficult and quite a few people were in agreement. Everything else was extremely good and I would certainly return.

Friendly hotel in excellent location, great food

If you are looking for beach access and friendly staff, this is the place for you. We were a family group of 6 people, 3 generations, and we had a fabulous time at the Hotel Riviera Vista. I can't say enough about how helpful the staff were -- the servers in the restaurant developed relationships with our children and anticipated their needs while joking and teasing with them. The front desk staff were very helpful when we added an additional guest and booked some tours, as well as helping us to take the local buses. We had half board (breakfast and dinner only -- no lunch service), and the food was amazing! Much better quality than we expected, and the dishes were plated beautifully. Despite the fact that there is a set menu with two options for each course for half board guests, the staff were very helpful in getting alternatives for our kids when needed. We toured around the island a bit, and felt that this hotel was the best location for beach and pool access without getting into the maddening crowds. The elevator straight down to the beach is a real draw. The beach is small but great for swimming. There is a Spar shop and restaurants right down the hill. the staff was also so helpful in letting us use the pool, beach, and shower facilities after we checked out, right up to the minute we left for the airport. Highly recommended!

Nice place but bring your own pillow

It's not far off being excellent but there beds and pillows need a change. The rooms don't always get cleaned. They seem to decide which rooms they clean on certain days.

This hotel is ideally placed

This hotel is ideally placed for the beach, local amenities and the excellent public transport between resorts. We visited here 12 years ago and were pleasantly surprised at the modernisation of the apartments, the sun deck, the swimming area and the lift access to the beach. We were self catering so only visited the restaurant twice and we found the food OK, not brilliant.
The staff were very helpful at all times and we would consider coming here again in the future.

Beautiful hotel, brand spanking new, relaxing.

This hotel is beautiful. Gorgeous pool deck, fantastic amenities, the pool bar has nice snacks at a reasonable price.
We had a Junior Suite with a sea view, absolutely stunning views, and even more spectacular at night as we admired the little corner of the world that is playa de cura.

We went in early July. The area was quiet, not many tourists. lots of free sunbeds at the pool .
Free yoga and aqua fit each day, the beach was a very short walk as this hotel has its own private lift down to the beach. Wow.

A stroll down the hill takes you to a center with a few restaurants and a couple of bars.

This is the perfect place to chill out and soak up the sun.

Will definitely be back!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE SO MUCH TO IMPROVE

Very bad experience. Rude people at reception they no nothing about managing hotel. you come in this hotel you are on your own. No one tell you where to go or what to do. All they want is collect money . No soap in the bathroom. Sofa bed not made even when you pay for it. Paid half board for dinner but had to pay for water. No parking at the hotel and there is no where to park in the area.
Good facilities with horrible management. They don't care about tourist just screw them. Very disappointed because i thought a hotel with that level should treat their clients with a bit of recept
They advertise that we have internet but it's the slowest internet I have ever surfed on. Nobody explain you how the entrance door worked we spent 20 minutes trying to figure it out.

The manager of this hotel should be fired

Good renovated 3 star hotel with good facilities. Unfortunately very poor in customer service. All potential customer beware as the people working at the reception are fake and even though they welcome you with a bright smile they won't be any help if you need them. Mostly the manager it's a lady she should be fired as she has no idea whatsoever what is called customer service.

Fine, but far away

This is a fine hotel if you are looking to get away from it all. It has a private link to the beach, and is within walking distance of a supermarket and a couple of bars. Beyond that there is nothing, so unless you are prepared only to sit by the pool or go to the beach it is necessary to have a car (which are inexpensive to rent in Gran Canaria). The hotel itself is very clean, and the rooms are huge. No double beds though.

Modern clean quiet hotel close to dark sand beach

Modern hotel, stayed in comfy junior suite with great sea views! Located in playa del cura, not much happening there, which was quite nice actually. Proper get away.
Extremely easy by bus to get any where including fabulous amadores and puerto rico beaches.

Insects in pool and corridors. Rooms poorly designed. Regularly banged my head above worktop. Sofa bed was more like sleeping on a thin cushion on the floor in a tent! Breakfast was the same every day. Coffee machine didn't add enough water. Fruit juice not fresh. Toaster not set correctly. Coffee machine in room but no coffee / filters provided. Fridge too noisy to allow sleeping on the sofa bed. Noisy extractor in bathroom. Bathroom too dark and no window. Toilet too close to sink making toilet roll holder unusable. Internet was charged for rooms. Internet WiFi in reception was not powerful enough. No outside towel drying rails. No remote for air conditioning. Staff were helpful but quality of room cleaning was not as good as expected. Bed sheets for main bed and sofa bed were not replaced during the whole week. The room safe was not bolted down! Balcony not secure. View from room was good. Restaurant was relatively expensive.

Great hotel, modern and clean. It was very quiet during our stay which was nice at the start but slightly disconcerting towards the end. The area is very quiet in general so please keep in mind the costs of travelling for better night life.

Bestilte junior suite. Helt ok størrelse, men mer junior en suite.

Nydelig beliggenhet, stille og rolig plass. Akkurat passe gå avstand til Amadores og Puerto Rico.

Hyggelig betjening, godt renhold.

Minus, verdens dårligste hodepute, og en sofa i stuen som rett og slett var ubrukelig som sofa.

Råd. Ta med deg sitteplasser og egen pute☺️😅

Frokosten var helt grei. God mat litt lite utvalg, men fint. Middagen var ikke god. Min kone ble dårlig av noe hun spiste der. Så anbefaler ikke og spise middag der. Vasking var veldig bra og kjempe hyggelig personalet, litt sur de som tok i mot ved middag.

Vi fikk et rom 2204 som var dårlig utstyrt (mht. kjøkkenutstyr) og veldig nedslitt; skapdører som hang og slang, avtrekksvifte på badet støyet voldsomt, kompressoren på kjøleskapet støyet også - ga beskjed, men ingenting ble gjort...
Sengene er så harde at man vurderer å slå til på tilbudet om massasje som det reklameres for i heisene.
Knallharde puter som standard, men man får i det minste noen som er mykere om man spør.
Som alltid: super frokostbuffet ('',)
Vi har nok bodd her 6-7 ganger, men nå ser vi etter noe bedre.

Fint hotell med flott beliggenhet og nydelig utsikt!
Supert med heis rett ned til stranden.

Skulle ønsket daglig rengjøring og sengeskift mer enn x1/ uke og Håndkle x1/uke.

Bærer noe preg at det er mange år siden hotellet var nytt, men alt i alt veldig bra!
Greit treningsrom. Harde senger og dårlig puter. Tok med egen pute; det var gull!
Tips: gå de ekstra meterne til Tauro stranden i stedende Cura stranden kan ikke måle seg.

Takk fra to slitne husmødre!

To voksne damer ankom hotellet en fredag ettermiddag og møtte en svært blid og hjelpsom mann i resepsjonen. Han forklarte godt om hotellets fasiliteter og ga ellers god informasjon om rom, wifi, air-conditioning etc. Vi hadde bestilt et rom med havutsikt, og det fikk vi virkelig - nydelig utsikt som vi kunne nyte fra verandaen vår i 6.etasje. Litt startproblemer med den ene ac-enheten ble raskt løst av en servicemann. Fint bassengområde med mange solsenger og helt ok bar (god mat, men dårlige drinker). Vi testet middagsbuffet'en én gang, men valgte à la carte ved andre restauranter både i nærheten av hotellet og i nabobyene. Takk til Paula ved hotellets spa-avdeling for en fantastisk full body massage!
Et lite minus for løst feste til dusjhodet på badet, og for at ac-enheten på soverommet er montert slik at den blåser rett mot sengen.
Vi valgte Riviera Vista fordi vi ønsket et avslappende opphold på et rolig hotell med nærhet til strender, og det fikk vi absolutt!

Overall good average experience.
Location was very nice and views were good.
Breakfast had not lot of variety and was repeated every second day.
We tried buffet dinner only once. Food was unfortunately not upto the mark against what we paid.
Staff is friendly and helpful. Room was regularly cleaned.
Gym opens only at 8:30 in the morning and closes at 8:00 PM. Which is not very practical timing considering breakfast ends at 10 (last entry 9-9:30). Although we wanted to use Gym, we couldn’t due to timing constraints.

Gutes Hotel in ruhiger Lage. Mit dem Bus ist man in 5 min am Amadores Beach und in 10 min in Puerto Rico. Der Strand am Hotel ist gut aber die Wellen sind mitunter hoch und nix fpr Kinder.

Hyggelig personale i slitent hotell.

Utsikten er upåklagelig fra de fleste av rommene i hotellet. Heis ned til strand/strandpromenade et stort pluss, for her er det snakk om høydeforskjeller. Få kaffeer åpne på dag/ettermiddag langs strand-promenaden, desto travlere på den eneste åpne kaffeen om formiddagen beliggende i det lille senteret i Playa de Cura. Slitent hotell som hadde proffitert på en oppgradering ute og inne. Personale som tilstrebet vennlighet og god service og som lyktes med begge deler. Heisen er trang, men tre av rommene i hotellet kan være egnet for brukere av rullestol, alle ligger i plan 2, og har inngang fra markterrasse. Harde senger, men ryggen holdt (så vidt) hos to \"gamlinger\" i hhv 60 - og 70- årene.

10 dager på Playa del Cura

Var to venninner på 10 dagers ferie. Var rent og ryddig overalt. Hyggelig personale og frokosten smakfull. God plass i bassengområdet samt kjekt med heis ned til stranden. Veldig enkelt å ta seg rundt med buss. Kommer gjerne tilbake !

Men rommene mangler kroker e.l. for oppheng av lenger tøy. Litt sparsommelig med lys. Sengene kunne vært tyngre - de leet seg når du snur deg.

Værelset er for dyrt i forhold til kvalitet.

Opholdsværelset indeholdt af møblement en meget slidt
sofa, en stol også slidt og snavset samt et meget lavt bord
uanvendeligt til at spise ved ( min alder 85 år). Til gengæld var terrassen stor og rummelig med liggestole, bord og stole.

Hotel was in orde. Ontbijt was goed en gevarieerd meer het diner droog. Komt vooral door de wijze van bewaren/presenter; veel op een warme plaat bewaren ipv gedoseerd kleinere porties. Is het gebruikelijk dat je moet betalen voor voor verversen van handdoeken en het gebruik van een badhanddoek (€15,- borg en bij vernieuwen wel betalen). Parkeren is slecht en parkeer vooral niet bij een gele streep; kost je écht dik € 80,-

Las habitaciones son grandes y todas con Vistas al mar.

Pero no hay privacidad, las terrazas son tan pegadas que no hay intimidad.
Para colmo fuman en las terrazas y no puedes ventilar porque te entra el olor a tabaco.
Se escucha todo, y te ven , no hay intimidad.
Buffet pequeño pero variado y rico.
