This hotel has restored our faith in Best Western hotels! It has everything you want from an excellent hotel - great staff, comfortable rooms and a super breakfast. Additionally, there is free parking (on a first-come, first served basis) and it is close to the autoroute but very quiet.
We were allocated a room in the annex and our room's blackout was excellent. We also ate dinner in the restaurant and it was hugely tasty and not too expensive for the Mulhouse/Colmar region.
We will be back - many thanks to all concerned for making this such a memorable and comfortable visit!

The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming - the waitress from the bar not so much! We didn't eat in the restaurant as it was quite expensive. Suite was lovely but quite spartan. We found the beds quite uncomfortable and, although there were 5 of us, there were only two mugs?? Shower was good but bathroom was tiny. Use of the pool and hot tub was great and the children really enjoyed it. Late check out time was a bonus too. Baldersheim appeared to be a lovely town - very clean and pretty.

A little disappointing

I chose this hotel after reading quite a few positive reviews, and was honestly a little disappointed by our stay.

The good: clean bathrooms and linens. Lovely indoor pool area. Proximity to the highway makes it a great stopping point on a long drive.

The bad: the hotel reception and corridors smelled like cigarette smoke, the pillows were old, lumpy and smelled like other people's unwashed sweaty heads This made it impossible to sleep as every time I moved, I got a whiff of it.

The night receptionist that was there when we arrived was very nice, but since there is only one desk, there always seems to be a queue.

Overall the hotel was easy to find, set in a quaint little town, beautifully presented from the outside. Our room was great, clean and tidy and worked for us as a family. The swimming pool and spa was excellent and easy to access.
Would should have pre booked dinner before arrival, the restaurant in the hotel was lovely, food excellent but we couldn’t get a table until really late in the evening, which was not ideal with two children. We’d been driving all day so did not want venture back out and no other immediate choices for food. When we did get dinner we thoroughly enjoy it however, once we got seated.
There was a bar facility out the hotel building, next door, we bought one drink at 6pm and with all of the outside seating taken with customers, they closed up and that was it, no more bar….this left us with a long wait between then and dinner. Plenty of parking and very helpful front desk staff. We had a good stay.

Good ski stop. Lovely whirlpool, sauna, steam and pool. Friendly staff and good food for evening meal and good range of breakfast items. Scramble seemed a little processed but that’s all I’d ‘knock’. Parking availability was slightly tight, arriving mid evening.

The property is really nice with a nice and quiet atmosphere. The staff is super attentive and made our stay very enjoyable.
The only negative was the stairs on the suite which are not easy when you need to carry luggage. Otherwise, a 10 out of 10 and a number 1 choice is we are in the area again.

Staff very friendly and helpful, asked for a quiet room in the annex and got exactly that , parking both on road outside the hotel , and in the two car park attached to the hotel and annex felt safe . Only a slight inconvenience walking across the road from the annex to the hotel for restaurant and pool but I knew before I booked the annex and it was my choice so not a problem it was easy enough. Slight niggle that internet was not very strong at times but overall a truly enjoyable relaxing stay and I will definitely be back

On est arrivé et on a mit dans une chambre juste à côté de la réception. Donc déjà on entendait absolument tout ce qu’il se passait à l’entrée comme si on était 10 dans la chambre. INSUPPORTABLE ! On a demandé à changer de chambre car tous les matins on était réveillé par les nouveaux arrivants on aurait dit une colonie de vacances.
Ensuite, Le service de nettoyage ne change pas les draps, il fait juste notre lit. Inutile. Le dernier soir on a essayé de prolonger le séjour car j’avais des rdv dans la journée et on doit quitter l’hôtel à midi. Apparemment l’hôtel était complet ( bizarrement on voyait personne mais bon ). La femme m’a rigolé d’un air hautain au téléphone en me faisant comprendre que je devais quitté l’hôtel c’est tout et c’est comme ça. Forcément elle s’est attaqué à la mauvaise personne, j’ai donc déconseillé cette hôtel à ma communauté ( 1/2 milion de personnes ). Plus JAMAIS ! Fuyez cette hôtel c’est un conseil, ils ne respectent pas leur clients.

Comfortable hotel, easy access to motorway network whilst being in a village like setting
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel is managing extremely well with covid. Evening meal ( hot) and breakfast (Extensive and delicious) was available as very efficient room service which the staff have gone abive and beyond to provide
The room was extremely comfortable and I had a really good nights sleep
The only slight problem was a slightly weak WiFi at peak times ( The hotel was quite full) not really a problem More a niggle. I will definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone

A very convenient stop over near Mulhouse. Just a few minutes from the main road north from Basel to Strasbourg. Small but inviting swimming pool. Also near a fuel station (3 mins) Very good restaurant.

Always a good welcome!

One night only, but have stayed before. Room in the annexe was clean and comfortable. Breakfast which was included, was a plentiful buffet. Our dinner in the evening was very good and our waitress, Christel, was excellent - helpful, quick and a great smile! Thank you, Christel. The area around the hotel is quiet, but there are some lovely little villages to visit and great food and wine tastings! Kaysersberg is particularly pretty!

My wife and I travel by road between UK and Italy so need a hotel as a stopover in the Mulhouse area. Have tried Roi Soléi, Ibis and Golden Tulip. Best Western had best bed and pillows so had a great night's sleep which is what really counts when travelling. BW now no:1 on our list when we next travel. The restaurant looked good, too but we had been lured to the dark side (MacDonalds) before we got to the Au Cheval Blanc. Reception spoke English and very helpful with getting connected to WiFi (which was quite speedy)

Check your room before you pay

Large hotel. Was gave a nice room at the front, but asked if they had one at the back where it was quieter, so they put is in the smallest room they could find. The bathroom was so small that any one larger than a size 12 would have to grease themselves to get on and off the toilet. Pity as the hotel was empty.

Restaurant was nice, service was slower than could be expected for only being 20% occupied. Food was fine when it arrived.

Very cosy place in a calm village, I loved it, went there after a long day at work, very warm welcome from the staff at reception , could relax in the pool and sauna, and enjoyed a fine diner afterwards ,all in the same location, perfect for business travellers . Plus to me this hotel has a lot of charm it is different from all these lookalikes chain hotels I am used to, this one makes me feel comfy and homy. will definitely go back.

The staff was very helpful and nice, thank you very much for the stay!
The room was too small to fit 2 people and 3 pieces of lagguage, literally it was just a bed there. Thankfully, we were able to exchange it for a bigger one. Indeed, in the new room the conditioner was leaking and the locker did not work.

Overnight with relax!

Lovely hotel in a pretty village. We only stayed one night in the annexe, but the room, although small, was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and the meal in the restaurant was good. There is a small pool with sauna, Hamam and jacuzzi in the basement, which was good after a long drive from the UK! Breakfast was good with plenty of choice.

Characterful but isolated on foot

We stayed here for three nights, having chosen it on the basis of having a pool, wifi and being close to Mulhouse.

Our room was OK, but in the roof space on the third floor, we didn't have a stand up shower as the roof was too low. I made use of the showers in the leisure centre so wasn't the end of the world! I couldn't stand up at one side of the bed either, and we had a tiny window really high up. The bed was comfy, minibar stocked and all very clean. We could hear all the planes approaching Basel airport, but not loud enough to disturb us. WIFI was ok once connected, but you had to keep re-entering the password...

The leisure centre was clean, but the pool was rather small, and on the cool side - OK for a fast swim but not for chilling out. It was 6 - 7 strokes from one end to the other, but I kept turning around to get a decent swim!

The hotel had a large and popular restaurant, but we thought the menu was too limited. My partner doesn't eat red meat, which left nothing to choose! As there's nothing else in walking distance, we drove to a few places - there are plenty of restaurants 3 - 4 miles away. There's a lovely bakery just along the road, which we went to each day for fresh breakfast pastries...

Hotel has a good car park, is located in a pretty village, and has some character you don't get in modern hotels.

Such a cosy hotel to spend Christmas night in after we visited family a short drive away. The indoor pool, spa, sauna and hammam were excellent: clean and modern and working perfectly, just what we'd hoped for. The superior room, chosen due to the discounted holiday rate, was smaller than anticipated and didn't have a view, but it was still very nice.

Room was nice and food from the restaurant was very good. Did not eat there for breakfast but had two very nice dinners there. Not much in the area, especially without a car so our main reason for going was to have a relaxing spa day using their sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, unfortunately on the days we were there the steam room and jacuzzi were not working so ruined our stay slightly as this was the main reason why we booked this hotel and location.

Good for a night stay, will not be dissapointed

We used this hotel for one night while traveling from Frankfurt to Annecy and it was just perfect. The hotel was clean and very quiet. You need to be familiar with hotels in Europe to understand this rating. The room is not very large but that is to be expected and it also does not have elevator, which is also normal in Europe so we had to carry the luggage up to the second floor. The breakfast was a little overpriced, $17 Euros for breads and boiled eggs and coffee so that was a surprise to us. But overall, we are glad we stayed there. It was a charming place. The parking was included, which was nice.

A pleasant hotel in a small town in Alsace

A comfortable and well-run hotel, with an excellent restaurant serving reliable French food with local specialities and a wide choice of wines, all at a reasonable price. There is a modern indoor pool and secure parking; only drawback was that the free wireless internet was not working, which this seemed to cause little concern to the young receptionist. It is worth requesting a quiet room, although air-conditioning does enable windows to be kept closed - just as well with three visits by the neighbourhood dust-cart between 0615 and 0645!

Senza poter scegliere, anche se teoricamente avevo preso una camera superior, ero nel sottotetto al secondo piano SENZA ascensore. Camera piccola ma carina, peccato un fortissimo odore di FOGNA che veniva dalla doccia. Anche facendo scorrere l'acqua non è migliorato, e mi ha nauseato tutta la notte. Tutto il resto della struttura è magnifico, ottimo il ristorante e la colazione ricchissima. Purtroppo non ho usufruito di spa etc, quindi non posso giudicarle. Tornerò ma chiederò di non avere la camera 258, o quelle al secondo piano della depandance.

Not clean, a LOT of black hair in bedsheet! Funky smell from bathroom. We was there for 10 min, complain in reception the guy was not even good at english! Hopefully we Will get a refund.
Will never recommend this hotel, simple work task for staff to secure to have clean bedsheet. Not a 4 star hotel maximum 2 star. Shady area.

Chambre avec aucune isolation phonique, chambre côte rue avec bruit du passage, on entent tout les voisins et la femme de manage pas du tout discrète des 8h du matin.
Situé au 2e immeubles en face du principale sans ascenseurs donc faut pas de gros bagages car 2e étages et pas terrible le fait de devoir sortir et traverser la rue dès le matin pour prendre le petit déjeuner.

Ottimo hotel, camere pulite e confortevoli. Non abbiamo provato la spa perchè aperta solo il mattino fino alle 10.00. Sarebbe utile se fosse utilizzabile anche la sera.
Il parcheggio interno ha un numero di posti molto limitati, di conseguenza occorre trovare parcheggio in strada.

Het is een prina hotel. Wat verouderd maar zeker niet slecht. Wij sliepen hier voor 1 nacht met het gezin. Hierdoor voelde de kamer wat krap. Zwembad was prima en toevallig helemaal voor ons alleen. Prima voor een volgende keer.

Bel maison alsacienne, bonne literie, restaurant avec des spécialités alsaciennes. Un super séjour, l'espace piscine est très cool, le personnel est très sympathique, nid de cigogne tout près, dépaysement garanti.
