Overall clean, v good for the price etc. Clearly work and maintenance being kept on the top of (eg, new lift), but there are some parts of the trim and rooms that are starting to show their age and will need to be refurbished in the next year or so. Staff were amazing (5 fives for them), but is a 50p bottle of water really needing to be sold for 2.50 ? 3.50 for a small bottle of Coke etc.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The lift is still out of order, as it was 12 months ago, which is not great. The room was a good size, but the bathroom especially needs updating. There were cracks in the sink and some tiles. The shower cubicle leaked and the toilet cistern was constantly running. The car park spaces are very tight. Good breakfast.

The room was far too hot and we got the receptionist to try and adjust the heating but it was not working. We had to switch it off and leave the window open all night but as the room was close to the motorway so we had the noise from there. Also, the bed was in need of a replacement mattress as we kept rolling into the centre. Overall we did not get much sleep, room 36.

On arrival I waited 30 minutes to be checked in because there was only 1 staff member ( who was serving the bar) , the other was on break.

The room had a stench, there was hair in the shower and puddle of water by toilet due to a leaking shower.

The towels had hair on them, the room was not clean.

The toilet smelt like a public toilet. String smell of urine.

Breakfast was good, with a decent selection to o choose from.

This was our 5th stay here while we’ve been getting our house ready. The other 4 rooms have been ok, this one (140) was terrible. It stank of bleach, the sink was half blocked, carpet was dirty, the light didn’t work and the duvet cover was dirty and ripped. Very disappointing.

Lovely hotel that offered exactly what we needed.

Great hotel at a reasonable price. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, lots of options hot or cold. Sofa bed was a little on the small side for our teens to share but for one night it did the job. Room was clean and quiet. Easy drive in to Swansea the next day for our graduation event. Really pleased with our stay here.

This is the second time we have used this hotel and we will return. The hotel is on the outskirts of Swansea but it is easy to access the city. The room and ensuite are in good condition and clean and comfy. Breakfast is included in the price and there is a reasonabe choice of food available. All the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Shane in particular was extremely helpful i giving us information restaurants in the city

Staff were brilliant in all areas. I could not get into my car as someone parked too close and as I have a back problem, one of the staff got in from the passenger side and got the car out. All staff were brilliant.
One suggestion - as vehicle parking is not controlled by the hotel, they do not know the car numbers of the guests and there is no way to find out whose car it is. Please tell all hotels to take the vehicle number as it will be very useful in a situation like this

Cashless which wasnt clear on booking. Fine but the room was meant to be for 4. 2 adults and 2 children.
As it was a sofa bed we didnt expect it to be particularly comfortable but oh my god... this thing was the most terrible, wonky, painful thing ive ever slept on. We genuinely have slept on the floor because its less painful. Shouldnt have to do that when youve paid £122 for the privilege per night. Breakfast was ok but very limited.

This property charges no shows even if you show.

Dreadful service from both Hotels.com and the Hotel.

We altered the booking date, Hotels.com admitted a system error their end meaning we were left with a no show even though we turned up the following day.

Both parties refuse to offer a refund leaving us out of pocket.

Great staff. Always very polite and welcoming.
My only gripe is that the car park spaces are very narrow and the car park needs to be bigger (or share with the Harvester!)
That said, it’s better than a lot of other hotels, and I’ve always been able to park somewhere.
Lift hasn’t worked for more than 6 months. Doesn’t affect me, but I’d imagine that’s more than inconvenient for some others.

The Manager and her staff are wonderful.

This is our fourth stay over the past two years and, as I explained to the Manager at breakfast this morning, we cannot fault the hotel. The staff are wonderful and caring and have all been there each time we have stayed, there is no turnover. They all seem so happy, as does the Manager herself who is very proud of each and every one of her team.

Friendly staff, but parking can be tricky.

Parking can be difficult if you arrive late, despite a large car park, but it’s free, and I’ve always got a space with a little patience so can’t complain. Lift has been out of order for at least 4 months, but it’s only 2 storey so not the end of the world.

Reception staff were all amazing. Breakfast was excellent plenty of choice. This was booked as a couple but we had 5 rooms in total with other members of the family joining us. My mum was in a wheelchair James in reception gave a super warm welcome to my mum and continued to provide an excellent experience for us throughout our 3 night stay. Rooms spotless, housekeeping excellent. The whole stay was faultless. We can 100% recommend staying here. Thank you all at the Holiday Inn Express for making our stay an excellent one.

Great stay but lift out of order

We had two single rooms. I had asked for adjoining rooms, but that didn't happen. One room was on ground floor and the other on 2nd floor. Lift wasn't working so that was difficult as person I was with has mobility problems. Apart from that, a good stay. Breakfast good. Rooms clean and comfortable beds. Harvester next door which was handy.
