They don't clean their rooms daily unless you ask and even then they do so reluctantly and not complete. Dirty mugs left for 3 days, ice bucket left with melted ice for 3 days. They need to remember that they are a hotel and not try to lower the bar on what it means to stay in a hotel. Too bad because the hotel is nice and has potential.

The property itself was gravest. Coffee service in the lobby was excellent. Located outside the park is nice because of fewer crowds and access to restaurants. But the wait to get back through the park gates was rough—30-45 minutes depending on the time of day. Biggest gripe about the hotel itself is that we were there 3 nights and housekeeping never serviced our room the entire time

Loved this hotel. Gorgeous lobby. Beautifully redecorated, spacious room. Large bathroom. Only a few negatives - the biggest being that the door to the room had way too large a gap at the bottom. Could hear EVERYTHING going by in the hallway, and it made us feel as if we really had no privacy because people in the hall could probably hear us too. More minor things - water pressure in the shower was less than I prefer. Mini fridge in the room was wobbly and the door opened the wrong way, making it hard to get things in and out. They made a big deal about their breakfast buffet, but it was no better than you’d get anywhere else.

But overall, I’d definitely come back.

Weirdest stay ever. We couldn’t look in the bar without someone telling us we couldn’t see if there were any seats. We had a party of six and they stated they couldn’t get us into the restaurant, without checking with someone first. As we ate, there was no one there. The service was mediocre, and the staff were not busy. I would not stay here again, EVER.

Unfortunately we stayed during a renovation and there was limited housekeeping and stairwells were closed off. It made navigating the hotel difficult with just one elevator in use. We stayed 4 days and there was zero housekeeping. With what we paid per night I feel that was a big miss. Pool is small and there is no outdoor pool. No amenities beside pool for kids. Front desk staff were pleasant. Restaurant staff friendly and buffet breakfast was good. Gift shop had a nice selection of gifts.

You’re near GC and you need a clean comfortable place to stay, this is a good option. There is nothing over the top here, the lobby is very nice and a nice place to sit by the fire and enjoy the complimentary coffe. That is out for you to self-serve, there is also an indoor pool to entertain the kids. Rooms are comparable to a Holiday Inn

Beware of rollaway beds-- they do NOT fit safely in the room. When expanded, they left a 4 inch walkway to the exit door. We book specifically because of the bed availability. Also, hotel is under renovations which was not disclosed. The smell of carpet and paint was overwhelming to the degree that we kept the balcony door open. \"Heated pool\" was not heated and was too cold for my kids to swim.

Half the place was torn apart for construction. Construction noise all day, dust every where, chemical smells, no TV or Internet because of construction. None of this was told to us or listed when we booked. We checked in then immediately left. The front desk staff is extremely rude and has zero customer service skills. Just know what the situation in the hotel is at this time.

Very clean room and hotel in general in great condition the staff was absolutely on top of everything, Kelly who checked us in was absolutely great top class explained all the in and out of the area very easy access to the national park and she also explained what trails to take and how difficult they were and a couple of the other tours, she explained very well in detail. If I’m back in the area, there is absolutely no question. I will stay there.

Convenient location just outside the park. Very nice hotel that is currently doing renovations. They had signs posted all over stating as such. We stayed in a newly renovated room and it was very nice with a comfortable bed. An added benefit is the presence of elk around the hotel. We saw them in the evening and the next morning, both times trying to cross the street. We didn’t eat breakfast there as we were trying to get on the road early, but other reviews said the breakfast was good.

The Grand Canyon was close! However, restaurants in the area were few, expensive and very mediocre. Also other services were almost nonexistent. There was nowhere to get a flat fixed, closest place was 50 miles away.

Property was undergoing renovations. They offered to move is to the sister property across the street that would either match our rate or refund the difference. We were very happy they were honest with us stating there would be quite a bit of noise and the television service wouldn’t be working. The sister property was clean, had free breakfast, and very accommodating people. The breakfast staff was especially kind and helpful. We would definitely stay at either property again

The television set DIRECTV only worked at about a third of the channels. There was no network TV at all. The place is under construction that one floor completely closed and it was dirty and dusty understand will be an under construction, but and I known that I would’ve booked it somewhere else. There was nothing online about any of the problems they were experiencing.

For it being mostly empty, having people directly above you not really ideal when the walls are paper thin. We were woken up by what sounded like a bowling ball being dropped on the floor above us 2 days and the person‘s cell phone vibrating at 11 o’clock at night. The room was relatively clean and the pool was nice.

Can’t give a review of the room because we were moved across the street to the Grand Hotel and Suites due to a plumbing problem in The Grand Hotel. We were very disappointed since it was our 55th anniversary and were looking forward to a stay there. However, since the hotel was empty the hotel had also closed the main dining room but when the manager heard it was our anniversary he opened it just for us. The staff was very polite and pleasant to deal with. The rooms at The Grand Hotel and Suites were very clean and the staff was great. Just not at beautiful as The Grand Hotel.

I booked this stay based on the hotel amenities and the accommodations, i prepaid for the stay, filled out all of the required documents as asked. I was two or three text messages a day prior to my arrival but when i arrived i was told there would not ba any rooms due to renovations and the 20% discount at their steakhouse was a joke because it too was closed. I was told my reservation was moved to the okd Holiday Inn and those accommodations were bad. Noisy, cold and uncomfortable. I was told that i should have received a text explaining the situation. Never got a text or a phone call, you know the old fashion way of communicating.
