Half the place was torn apart for construction. Construction noise all day, dust every where, chemical smells, no TV or Internet because of construction. None of this was told to us or listed when we booked. We checked in then immediately left. The front desk staff is extremely rude and has zero customer service skills. Just know what the situation in the hotel is at this time.

Beautiful property but was not told until check in that TV was out and construction was going on so couldn’t use half of the property. They didn’t want to compensate for any of the inconvenience. Emailed to tell me about the property construction but did not mention anything about the direct tv service out and had been for many weeks.

Very clean room and hotel in general in great condition the staff was absolutely on top of everything, Kelly who checked us in was absolutely great top class explained all the in and out of the area very easy access to the national park and she also explained what trails to take and how difficult they were and a couple of the other tours, she explained very well in detail. If I’m back in the area, there is absolutely no question. I will stay there.

Convenient location just outside the park. Very nice hotel that is currently doing renovations. They had signs posted all over stating as such. We stayed in a newly renovated room and it was very nice with a comfortable bed. An added benefit is the presence of elk around the hotel. We saw them in the evening and the next morning, both times trying to cross the street. We didn’t eat breakfast there as we were trying to get on the road early, but other reviews said the breakfast was good.

The Grand Canyon was close! However, restaurants in the area were few, expensive and very mediocre. Also other services were almost nonexistent. There was nowhere to get a flat fixed, closest place was 50 miles away.

Property was undergoing renovations. They offered to move is to the sister property across the street that would either match our rate or refund the difference. We were very happy they were honest with us stating there would be quite a bit of noise and the television service wouldn’t be working. The sister property was clean, had free breakfast, and very accommodating people. The breakfast staff was especially kind and helpful. We would definitely stay at either property again

The television set DIRECTV only worked at about a third of the channels. There was no network TV at all. The place is under construction that one floor completely closed and it was dirty and dusty understand will be an under construction, but and I known that I would’ve booked it somewhere else. There was nothing online about any of the problems they were experiencing.

For it being mostly empty, having people directly above you not really ideal when the walls are paper thin. We were woken up by what sounded like a bowling ball being dropped on the floor above us 2 days and the person‘s cell phone vibrating at 11 o’clock at night. The room was relatively clean and the pool was nice.

Can’t give a review of the room because we were moved across the street to the Grand Hotel and Suites due to a plumbing problem in The Grand Hotel. We were very disappointed since it was our 55th anniversary and were looking forward to a stay there. However, since the hotel was empty the hotel had also closed the main dining room but when the manager heard it was our anniversary he opened it just for us. The staff was very polite and pleasant to deal with. The rooms at The Grand Hotel and Suites were very clean and the staff was great. Just not at beautiful as The Grand Hotel.

I booked this stay based on the hotel amenities and the accommodations, i prepaid for the stay, filled out all of the required documents as asked. I was two or three text messages a day prior to my arrival but when i arrived i was told there would not ba any rooms due to renovations and the 20% discount at their steakhouse was a joke because it too was closed. I was told my reservation was moved to the okd Holiday Inn and those accommodations were bad. Noisy, cold and uncomfortable. I was told that i should have received a text explaining the situation. Never got a text or a phone call, you know the old fashion way of communicating.

The decor in the lobby and around the nice gift shop was great. The lady checking us in did a nice job, and the maintenance man was very helpful in getting us a rollaway bed that requested. However, the hot tub was not working, and there was no coffee or fireplace going in the morning in the lobby. Where this hotel really fell short was with the steakhouse. We were looking forward to it after a long day, and my son made the earliest reservation available at 8:30 p.m. (the only other one was 8:45 p.m.). So that was fine, but when we showed up, the service was really slow, even though there were hardly any people there. My husband tried to order New York Strip, and the server said they were out of it, along with several other things, but then they found one. I ordered a half-size salad and chili, and after a while the server came and said they were out of chili. So I said I'll pick something else if I can get a menu. When she brought the salad (and the one for my son), I asked to just do the full size salad instead, and she said the kitchen was closed because it was after 9. So I just said never mind, and then she said she would try to find some chicken strips for my son because his salad was supposed to come with chicken. It really was a horrible experience, and I would not recommend going there.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The fire pits and back porch are a great place to hang out or, we hung out and played pool at the game room and bar.
We had a great experience with the staff, especially Seth, who went waaay over the top with service and expectations.

It's a nice hotel, lodge like decor, comfortable furniture in the lobby. We looked forward to our second stay here. Unfortunately the fireplace in the lobby was not working while we were there which was disappointing as we were planing on spending the evening in front of the fire after a lovely but cold afternoon at the Grand Canyon.

Was a huge spider in the first room so we moved rooms. Room was the same. Old dark rooms although was clean.

No water anywhere. None offered at reception or available anywhere except the gym. Odd for Arizona.

Bar was empty when we checked in and the drinks were premade (Margarita) and sickly sweet.

On the positive side, plenty of car parking and walking to a McDonalds next door for coffee.

Good location for entry to Grand Canyon.

The staff was courteous; the bed was comfortable. The lobby coffee was a bit weak but as soon as we mentioned it, they remedied it immediately!
The gift shop had so many beautiful items to look at and plenty of things to purchase. The location was perfect for what we needed to tour around the area. Something for future travelers to know is that the area is under strict water conservation, so laundry facilities are few and far between (I think you have to use the campground) so we planned to do laundry in a different town.

Probably one of the dirtiest and most poorly maintained hotels I’ve stayed at in the past 10 years, both domestic and international. The lobby was the only nice part. It had some games, cozy seating, and coffee and hot cocoa at night. But the room was pretty disappointing and just reminded me that camping is the better option when visiting the Grand Canyon.

The bathroom had a constant unpleasant, mushy smell because of the cheap shower curtain and the lack of a ventilator. The toilet used recycled water, which would’ve been fine, but with no ventilation and the odd smell and color, it wasn’t pleasant to use.

Another issue was that the jacuzzi was out of order, which would’ve been helpful to know before booking. The pool was also supposed to be heated, but it was icy cold. Everyone who tried it just dipped their feet and left.

I went during the off-season, and I can’t imagine paying more during peak season for this level of quality. To be fair, the gift shop lady was great - friendly and fun to talk to.
