Complete mess up. Changed the date via hotel for 28th. Constant call and messages. Called today only to find dogs are not allowed in the room overnight. Totally disappointed as this was a Christmas present for my son. No communication and now an upset son

The rooms are basic but were clean (other than some cobwebs on the light fittings). The rooms could do with a lick of paint and new carpets perhaps. But the bathrooms were well appointed and clean. Bed comfortable. Tea making facilities. The rooms could do with bedside lamps for convenience. Free easy parking. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food served in the pub below was fantastic. Beware of the latest check in being 11pm and no access to the outside world after this and until 7.30am other than via the fire escapes. Overall I would stay again as it was very convenient and nice enough.

I understand we paid just 48 quid for a room, but to have black mold, tissue stuffed in window seal and carpet quite literally stopping the door from opening as it was ruined and pulled up was not acceptable. No toilet roll. Soap empty in bathroom and felt like it was a painted shell not a hotel room. Harsh but true. For maybe 10 or 15 more quid we could have had literal luxury compared to this at Blancos or Greenacres. We got moved to a different room that had bare walls. A bathroom bigger than most bedrooms with a 19 inch tv in the high corner of room and unfortunately this caused (im not exaggerating) echoes that can only be described as desperate lol. I know you get what you pay for. However we have got a lot more for very little extra money. Seriously this isnt a hotel. Its a few rooms above a pub. The rooms are terrible. Pub However is great. Seriously the pub and staff are great. Rooms are like a hostel.

Dirty beyond ability to be cleaned, poorly maintained,
Black mould in bathroom, curtains hanging off,
Carpet so dirty that felt need to keep shoes on.
Needs a complete refurb. Such a shame as staff were lovely.

Kevin and the team are great, happy to help however they can. The food is very good as are the drinks. The en suite bathroom had a great shower, fluffy clean towels and was nicely laid out. The bed was clean and comfortable. We stayed for two nights and both agreed the only thing to change were some of the carpets. We didn't sleep, eat or shower on the carpets though, so it wasn't a game changer. We would definitely stay again, thank you Kevin and the whole team.

Great manager dont think anything would be a problem if you asked great staff aswell.
Clean linen and hot water after a days work. Its a budget hotel so dont expect the ritz bedrooms just need a refresh but ive stayed for another week. Food is very good and HOT. Overall great.

Stay was ok , the staff were nice and friendly but they turn the central heating of at night so you freeze your bloody ass off at night and when I mentioned it on booking out they said i should have told them and they would have provided a fan heater.,, ( well, I'm sorry but if I am staying in a hotel that has Central heating, why don't you leave it on? I shouldn't have to ask for a fan heater. Or any other heater. ???)

Booked two rooms at this hotel some weeks in advance as my band was performing in Swansea. I was notified that my payment had been declined two days before the stay (even though payment would ostensibly be taken on arrival). I updated my payment details and paid for one room through the portal but payment for the second room couldn’t be taken so I called the hotel. They informed me I could just pay on arrival as originally stated. However, two hours later, they took full payment from my card. I was willing to overlook this but the shambles had just started.

I completed the ‘online check in’ form the day before my stay. On the day itself, we caught an Uber to the hotel at 3am (at a cost of £30) only to find the doors to the hotel firmly locked, with no buzzer or intercom. The lights inside the bar were on but there was no-one to be seen. I called the hotel repeatedly for at least 10 minutes with no answer. We weren’t getting in and unbelievably had to call another Uber, wait in the rain for 15 minutes with no shelter and then head back into Swansea where I was forced to pay £250 for a further two rooms at a Premier Inn.

Absolute shambles. Expecting a refund.

Communication was great as it took us a while to drive and we were worried we'd miss check in. Lad who checked us in was great! There is a slight smell as you head upstairs and continues into the room. Nothing offensive though. Clean bedding and towels and tea and coffee facilities. There were marks on the carpet and it was sticky in places. Bathroom was clean but mould starting to show on walls and ceiling. No shower gel left in dispenser but this was rectified when advised.

Paying £335 for 4 nights is daylight robbery for what I got in return. I would never stay again it needs a full make over. It’s been a very long time since I stayed in a battered old hotel but you live and learn.

Old,old, tired pub...just a bit grim.

Every wall, carpet and door was stained or tatty.

Took ages to check in, couldnt find the booking.. room was huge with a tiny monitor on the wall (about 12 foot high).. bed was miles away so it may as well not be there.

Brea,fast is served at 8am, way too late on the week days. Also, you can not come down to e it the pub until 8am, if you do, you have to go out the metal fire escape.. looking at the door, i am not sure it opens!

There is one huge good point.. THE STAFF.. they were brilliant.. really friendly and helpful...

For the money, i would never go back... but the staff almost make it worth while..

The pub/brewery need to invest in this place

Lovely picturesque hotel as you drive up to it.
Unfortunately Simple things like windowboxes with dead Flowers in them A dead Christmas tree. Still outside with a few Christmas bubbles still attached So first impression not so good, Arrived at reception, very helpful and friendly staff.
Very nice looking dar With plenty of choice. The unfortunate part is the carpets definitely need changing. So first impression inside very good unfortunately that's Where it stops. Got given a room Approximately 80 pound. And it was awful, big black Staines on the carpet Holders missing off the wall in the bathroom, but brackets still attached to wall. The Toilet seat was dangerously loose Spoke to the friendly manager who was very apologetic and after first night Moved us To a second room, lovely room, but unfortunately, a little noisy. Could only stay in this room for one night( due to room being prebooked next day.) So third night moved us to another room which was Unbearably noisy because of An outside ventilator fan coming on every 5 minutes. So unfortunately, not much sleep in 3 days. So if you stay There be aware room \"1\" Not very sightly And dangerous toilet seat.room \"4\"very nice room \"7\" you won't get any sleep Because of the noise. (Take your plugs for that room) The place definitely needs upgrading and renovating for the Price you are paying on certain days ( But lovely and helpful, friendly staff.( Unfortunately it won't let me download pics)

Great Value Accommodation

Fabulous value for money accommodation. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. My room and its en suite bathroom was fabulous, with an extremely comfortable bed and all the right facilities.

There was no pub noise or inappropriate behaviour on, or outside the premises, late at night from clients, which was pleasing to me.

The only small remark is that I feel that the public areas could benefit from a bit of redecoration. However, I am aware that many pubs and hotels suffered during the pandemic, so that did not put me off, at all.

Nice place to stay.

I stayed one night while travelling for work.
The staff were friendly.
The room was clean and had the bonus of a bath as well as shower.
I ate in the bar and the food was good and well priced.
No problem with parking as there was a large car park.

Perfect place to stop at on your journey

We were driving home from Porthmadog and decided to drive alongside the costal route to the south of wales. We decided to extend our holiday so searched for the best accommodations en route and this place was included in the listings. It was an amazing location, price & offered all amenities that we required. We booked it online within a minute & headed there. We went to the bar to check in and although i didn’t feel comfortable very walking through the busy bar full of locals it was a smooth check in for us. Everything was explained to us and the entrance to our accommodation was all explained wel.
We soon settled into our lovely big room which gave us the perfect opportunity to see our parked car right outside our windows in the car park.
The room was very large, clean & spacious. Nicely equipped with tea/coffee making facilities. Wardrobe. Large desk & 2 chairs. Large double bed with black out curtains. The en-suite bathroom was the best bit as it was massive. It had toilet, sink and a massive bath with a shower.
It was our honeymoon and although we weren’t treated special, we were well looked after. I would go back here again I think
