The room was in a lodge at the rear of the house. It's was modern, stylishly decorated and well appointed. Good size bathroom had a problem with the drainage.
The Monroe restaurant had a fixed two or three course menu (mushroom then salmon for me)and although the dishes were expertly presented as much as I wanted to like them I just didn't, I found them too bland for my taste. I hoped that breakfast would be better but the solid poached eggs & budget sausage just cemented my opinion. I would stay again but eat out.

I didnt know how truly cool a hotel i had booked until i got there. The parking was stupidly easy, the staff greeted me with a smile, the food at dinner was amazing. Along with breakfast the next day. The whole place is perfect for cute photos and the garden was ideal. i love how close it was to the city, but not part of it. I will be coming back to stay there. It was so well planned out with the staff so helpful and on time for everything. Love, love loved it

Well managed friendly hotel. Good that they provide dedicated chalets in the grounds for guests with dogs, however allowing dogs in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was very disappointing and unhygienic. A large mongrel was being fed toast from the table!

This hotel is a hidden Gem of the Gower, I got married here 2 years ago, Linda and the team were awesome then, went back for our 2 year anniversary and once again nothing was too much trouble for them, hotel has a real family feel to it and they make you feel so welcome. The hotel and room were clean. However, the bed was not that comfortable as it had a slight slope on each side which tended to roll you out. Breakfast was OK but the food was obviously cooked in advance and then heated up to be served. This didn’t make the food as enjoyable as it would have been had it been freshly cooked.

Perfect little spot
This is such a little gem of a hotel. Was even nicer than I expected. And travelling solo, the lady at reception was so friendly, gave me advice on where to take a coastal walk nearby. Hope to try the breakfast next time, heard from a couple of locals that their breakfast and afternoon tea are fabulous.

Our bedroom was dark and gloomy. The view from our window was of several solid fences painted brown and a shed. The bathroom was light and spacious.
We stayed for a week and the breakfast and evening meal menus were fixed during that time, so we would have liked more variety of food available.

Comfortable dog friendly hotel in gorgeous Gower
We stayed in a dog friendly room and our dog was also allowed to eat with us in part of the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The food was excellent. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, modern, clean and very comfortable. The hotel is well placed for the gorgeous Gower. Three Cliffs Bay, Oxwich Bay and the beautiful Rhossili and Worms Head were a short drive away.

Just stayed one night with breakfast and evening meal all the food was lovely. Though breakfast you had to choose between cooked or continental Staff were very happy and helpful and the hotel was extremely well presented with beautiful garden area. We stayed in the lodge room as we preferred a king size bed, the room was a good size and very clean even though they allowed dogs

The evening meal was excellent and beautifully presented. Good wine choice at sensible rates, well done. The only thing that I felt was a let down was the orange squash instead of fresh juice at breakfast and morning coffee that lacked flavour for us. Change those and I would give the stay 5 stars.

Gem Of A Hotel
Had a fantastic stay in the hotel, had an upgrade with the balcony, sun was shining, really good of them. The room was well equipped with a big bathroom, really clean. Room was a good size with a really big TV. The plus for me was the room was very quiet, heard nothing for the 3 nights I stayed. Food is fantastic in a nice setting the dining room was really well laid out and had outside eating area under a canopy, really good food.

I remember the hotel from many years ago when I used to live in the area. Since then, the place has gone up a notch or two. Lovely warm welcome on arrival, shown around directed to our room. The lodge, just annexed from the main building, was new, fresh, contemporary and spotless. Modern fittings and furniture throughout and a very comfortable bed. We ate at the hotel on both nights and the food was excellent; thoroughly recommended. Service was good too and we have a very peaceful evening in such a serene setting. The only slight downfall was the breakfast on day two when we were served orange squash and insipid coffee. The food itself was well cooked by disappointing compared to day one. We will definitely return to stay there again.

Fantastic from start to finish. We stayed in one of 5 lodges in the hotel grounds. We had a big room and a big bathroom with bath and shower. The room and bathroom were well cleaned daily with soup, shampoo, coffee etc refreshed daily. The staff were efficient but friendly. The grounds and the hotel were quiet and restful HIGHLY RECOMENDED

The Gower hotel was fine for our needs. cleanliness was good however the general upkeep was a little lacking. we found it overpriced for our 2 night stay at over £200 a night. found it out of the way and no local amenities which again was not indicated when booking. the staff were fine and accommodating in general. I would not recommend eating at the hotel in the evening as we found it overpriced. I shall not be recommending or returning.

Mixed feelings about this hotel. We stayed the night before we had a wedding in the area and being left on my own for the night I planned to have a relaxing night in the room. The room itself was huge and nicely decorated however it smelled really strongly of damp and must to the point where we had to sleep with the window open. The bed was huge and comforting but was actually made up of two singles with a large ridge down the middle which wasn’t ideal for a canoodling couple. Check in was easy and the staff despite being quite young were friendly and even helped us to print out the speech needed for the wedding. I had a bath which had several hairs in and a slightly greasy line around as well as a dirty floor when you wiped it with a wet towel. I tried to order room service but the telephone didn’t work so I had to walk outside and go into the hotel to order… in closer inspection the phones not even plugged in…. Just a wire that feeds into a pretend hole. I’ve read a review from 2018 that suggests the same problem in this room and it has clearly not been rectified. I ordered pate and a cheese platter for my meal and was disappointed with lack lustre cheeses and catering version pate rather than anything homemade. The extra bread I ordered was a microwaved warm mini ciabatta loaf which could have been really nice if it had been put in the oven to crisp a little. Breakfast was good and quick and the dining area is really nice. For £200 for our room it wasn’t worth it.

Friendly reception staff. Good breakfast choice, well cooked and served with a smile. The hotel building itself looks well kept. We stayed in one of the lodges as it was the only room left at the time of booking. Large room and bathroom. Comfy bed and clean. There were a couple of minor things maintenance could do with getting round to - such as fixing the toilet seat fixings. Lack of detailed instructions in the handbook for features in the room. The Lodges are outside the hotel building itself. Ours smelled a little damp and as they are also let to people with dogs there is a slight odour of wet dog. We could see how the Lodges would appeal to dog owners. I would try to book a room in the hotel if we stayed another time.

Just returned from a great trip to the Gower hotel and it acted as a fantastic base while we explored the local beaches - all of them being close by. My wife and I took our two sons and the room was perfect for us - very clean and spacious.
All the staff were lovely and taking all the current measures very strictly - providing drinks service to our room was a particular highlight!
We are just looking to re-book for next year - we wanted to stay another night!

Very disappointed! We did not stay here. We left as soon as we arrived. The pictures indicated that it has a sea view or was at least within walking distance. The beach was 30 minutes away. There was not working WiFi. We spoke with the owner and she was insisted on charging us blaming it on hotels.com/Expedia. I will no longer book thru Expedia and I would not return to this hotel.
