Although it's a little older than some of the apartments along the foreshore Palm Cove Tropic Apartments, it's a one minute walk to the front, has a great pool, good underground parking and good sized living area.

I turned up late so I understood why there was a letter left on the reception window telling me my room number and how to get in to our room, but it also said we look forward to meeting you tomorrow, well that’s a liar. Reception is never open. When I did find someone to talk to she was not helpful and stand offish. Just understand these apartments are fully self contained. So much sure if you’re staying for a week to bring your own toilet paper lol. Also don’t rely on the free internet, it’s doesn’t work well and you can only use a certain amount a day. Tv very small and basic, dvd player supplied. It’s really not a 4 star accomodation.

Great to return after 7 years to palm cove tropical apartments and to find they still have the ambience I remembered. Room was comfortable. Loved the closeness the the beach and the restaurants with the pub being 100 m away. Bus stop nearby should a trip to the supermarket or çairns be needed.

Advertising on Wotif website is misleading. We turned up on the first day at 2:30pm, no one in reception. Wotif advertises 24 hours reception & the check-in time is 2pm. Reception only opens from 10am to 2pm Monday to Friday.

On our arrival the welcoming was non existent, very robotic. Our room was comfortable but only had one blanket between 2 beds. The pool area was lovely, but had a coconut drop down into the pool next to us while swimming, luckily it didnt hit one of us! Departure was just as rude as the arrival.I wouldnt stay here again based on the unwelcoming reception recieved.

7 nights. Good location nice clean self contained appartment. Pool was mostly in shadey trees not heated (a bit cool) but was cleaned regularly.

Palm Cove’s hidden gem
Palm cove tropic was a very pleasant surprise. It’s actually in a really great location if you are mobile and enjoy a little walk. The apartment itself was clean and very spacious. We loved the pool… our apartment had direct access from the back to the amazing pool area. The property is covered with massive old growth trees at your doorstep, combined with all the beautiful tropical plants common to this area. Really is quite spectacular looking out through the back patio. Wayne and all the staff were very pleasant and helpful, helping us with a late check out was particularly appreciated! Thank you, we will be recommending to our friends.

The apartment was exactly what we wsnted. It had everything neededfor a week away. Unfortunately management need to clean the pool and deck on a daoly basis st leadt. Everytime we went for a swim there were numerous leaves etc in the pool which we cleaned out even though there wasn't a scoop to be seen and on the deck. These may be minor to some but very important to others. Don\"t think an hour a day to keep area tidy is too much to ask.

Lovely pool in tropical setting, quiet location
Good position being just one street back from the beach. Easy stroll to all the shops and beach and the tavern which is great for families. A little disappointed with the cleanliness of the shower, crumbs on top of the fridge & countertop which meant ants were everywhere, hair and scum on shelf under the hand basin. On the positive side, lovely outdoor area with decking around the heated pool, library, BBQ area and lush and tropical gardens.

The apartments are just back from the esplanade, restaurants and beach and set around a good-sized shady pool with some deep parts for adults as well as children. The facilities around the pool are comfortable and there is also a BBQ available.
We were made welcome on arrival and during our stay.
The apartment was comfortable and had most self-catering facilities except a dish-washer: there was only just enough crockery and cutlery and a bare minimum of washing & cleaning items which seemed a bit mean.
It would have been a nice touch to have a 'starter pack' of breakfast items available so that it wasn't necessary to have to go shopping immediately after arrival.
Apart from these inexpensive and potentially welcoming items the accommodation and location, parking etc was great.

We had a whirlwind trip up to Palm Cove for a friends wedding. We stayed at the Palm Cove Tropic Apartments. The staff were extremely friendly and the rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable. The location is great, just off the main road but within walking distance to everywhere. As we only had a short stay we didn't use most of the amenities available but the pool area was nice and the rooms well stocked.
