Paradise on the Beach is a boutique hotel perfectly positioned in the heart of Palm Cove, directly opposite the beach. An array of award winning restaurants and cafe's along with day spa's and boutique shops are a short stroll along the shady esplanade.

The room was so small , Small Tv , hard to operate . Shower looked gross.
There was something wrong with the bed . Probably 2 single beds joined together with a big hump in the middle , actually fell of couple of times due to lack of space and most of all , uncomfortable . Maybe the worst experience I have ever had.

We booked and due to unforeseen circumstances had to cancel. Wotif were fantastic with they're service but Paradise on the beach would refund any of the total amount paid so list the whole amount, so I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, unless you're walking in from of the street. Huge thumbs down from me and extremely Unaustralian.

I booked a studio apartment with a pool view for 8 nights. I was on the first floor and that was perfect for me as I felt really safe given I was on my own. The bathroom was pretty old and tired and definitely in need of refurbishing but it was all clean so no complaints there.
I would have appreciated having a lounge or lounge chair to sit on as I was only able to sit at the table or on the bed.
I was very happy not to cook so just having the kettle/toaster/microwave was fine, though it was a bit awkward washing dishes in the bathroom sink.
There are so many great food options at your doorstep it’s a great location.
The pool and surrounds is lovely and quite sheltered. I would stay here again. I arranged a transfer through Paradise on the Beach and the transfer company was great.

The facility is very dated and not maintained well. At least for the price we paid for. In my opinion, A 3 stars is lucky. There is no windows, the sliding door opens to the court yard, which right face to the BBQ, outdoor dining area, pool and spa. no privacy at all. The bathroom was very old, the shower is over the bath, the glass screen was attached so badly to the bath and try to stop the water from the shower onto the floor. A lot of water was on the floor from the taking a shower. I booked through Expedia, i didn't realzied that there is no service at all for this 6 days booking. I accept that there is $60 fee for one service. But no change of towels for 6 nights stay is a bit too much for us especially it's a tropical seaside reef holiday. On the check in, there was only the key handleed over to us, wifi password , no direction at all. We are on the 1st floor, thought the reception is 1st floor, but mistakenly, there is a ground floor. A bit disappointed ..., we have to come back to ask... I wouldn't recommeded it to anyone for that price.

Another great stay at Paradise on the beach

This was the latest of many stays at Paradise on the Beach and, as usual, it was excellent. The apartment (#102) was clean and spacious with some water views. All the facilities were fine although having taps and a sink in the kitchen area would mean not having to fill the kettle and wash dishes in the bathroom basin. This aside, we look forward to our next stay at POTB.

It's in the heart of Palm Cove. Easy to get around. Everything including the Sunday Market's on the door step! The staff are lovely, and it's clean, spacious and comfy. The only downer was the noise from the pub in front of the accommodation, but it wasn't too bad.

Ok, so, it’s in a convenient location for the beach, restaurants, bars. The hotel staff were very nice. The room itself was clean but it’s a little dated and could do with an upgrade. It’s noisy at night as it’s so close to the bars etc. There are only 8 or 9 parking spaces so if you get back later it’s street parking. One night we had to park half a mile down the road.

I took a cheap room, it was a little noisy at times with scraping chairs above me and the vacuum cleaner going from 7.30am. Nothing some ear plugs didn’t fix. The room was clean and had everything I needed.

Was a great location, easy walk to the beach and lots of dining options. Staff were excellent and the facilities were decent.
Nit picking, the beds were a little soft for my taste, it would have been nice to have locks on the bathroom doors, and the limited parking meant having to park in another street about 150m away.

All up though, a really nice place to stay for a week.

Good location. Basic self-service accommodations. Clean, large studio room. Check in was available early and easy process. Unfortunately no way to make coffee. Would be nice if hotel provides a coffee press. We were hassled a bit about asking for one more hand towel and wash cloth. Apparently you only get one each for each room. A bit stingy. Our room was close to the street but not too loud after about 10pm.

Great place to stay for a week

A fantastic place to stay. Check in was super simple and the room had everything I needed.
It isn't the quietest place in the morning but very quiet once the sun goes down, you can't even tell there are two bars within line of sight.

We stayed here 9 years ago and both the hotel and Palm Cove are as lovely as we remember them to be.
We had a 1 bedroom apartment which was very spacious and comfortable. The bed was good, aircon was good and supplemented by fans. The hotel and apartment had recently been redecorated.
Whilst on site parking is limited we always got a spot.
The hotel is directly opposite the beach and very near the swimming net.

I hate writing bad reviews, but this one has to be said. The biggest problem with the property, is not the dated look, or the lack of basic amenities or how it looks like it hasn't been renovated since the 80s. Its the lack of staff, since they are only available between 8am-5pm, on weekdays, some hours on weekends.

I mean, its a hotel, what's wrong with them. You can check in late or check out early, thats fine. You need extra shampoo? Well, too bad, take a shower next day since the front desk is closed. Internet doesn't work? Well too bad, wait until tomorrow.

Further, they only give you 2 room towels and 2 beach towels (hotel is on a beach), and they then want to charge extra for more towels. FOR TOWELS!!
The overall look is extremely dated and it feels like a 2-star budget hotel.

I would HIGHLY recommend people to NOT stay here, its not worth it

Please note that the shower is over the bath and the couch is low so it is not good for people with mobility issues. Accessibility is great and the staff were super helpful. Daily cleaning of the pool and surrounds was great and the spa is amazing.
