We booked on the beach holiday apartments and were shuffled to another lot of apartments to blocks up that weren’t on the beach holiday apartments for a start and it was awful so the pictures I saw on Expedia were not the place where we stayed. We checked out a night early and paid for it anyway because we couldn’t stand it any more. The large double bed is not a large double bed. It is a double bed.. the floor was so dirty my feet were black walking from the lounge to the bathroom so we had to wash the floor twice and black water went down the bath tub and the loo. My husband went and bought dishwashing liquid and paper towel and we washed the grime of the windows onto the balcony that I couldn’t open the door. Anyway it was too stiff. It wasn’t just ray. I’ve lived on the coast all my life it was black scum that we got off the door so whether it wasn’t clean properly or nobody’s been in that unit for a long time I don’t know but we felt grubby and dirty we bought also room freshener spray. There was a chemical residue smell in the room anyway we decided on the lsecond last day. We had had enough packed our car up in an hour put the key in the box and left at 4 pm the day before we were supposed to leave. No I wouldn’t recommend staying there unless you were actually in on the beach holiday apartments which we were not.

Utterly disappointed in the condition of the apartment. Blinds broken or not even on the window. Mattresses extremely old and uncomfortable. No security screen on the kitchen window. A child could fall out and two storeys down. Two screen doors missing on the sliding doors. Minimum linen. I went to ask for extra towels and told they are limited and count what we take (ridiculous). Wardrobes wheels are broken and don’t slide. The outdoor furniture is the cheapest plastic type you can buy from Bunnings. I don’t know how this property has a four star rating. The lady at reception from Spain was extremely rude and honestly not interested in being helpful. Everything was a bother to her. Will never stay here again.
Location is however amazing. The restaurants around are delicious. Beach is beautiful.

Disappointed with my stay. Spent so much money and travelled from far to find the room did not have an ocean view as shown in the pictures. It was blocked. I was on the ground floor, and the patio door lock was broken. I reported the security concern to the management and they did not see the need to address it. The WiFi was poor and flaky. The hot water dropped out two minutes into the shower, and the stove needs fixing. The shower head flopped. The rooms were not soundproofed as advertised and there was much noise during the night from the flat above. Also have to read the fine print for this accommodation. It’s not a typical Expedia booking; and payment is collected at the hotel directly, which means you pay a deposit and then the hotel keeps asking you for money. Trinity beach itself is nice and the location was good. The apartment needs maintenance and upgrades.

This property is in a lovely area overlooking the sea. The 1br apartment we stayed in was a bit tired but that was fine for us. All the kitchen and laundry appliances worked fine and were clean. The main concern was security as one of the balcony doors didn't lock. We did report this to management (an older guy) but there was no repair or follow up communication in the 4 to 5 days we stayed after reporting it, apart from an initial assurance that someone would come to fix it. We found a way of securing it with a leather belt as a precaution while we slept. One other suggestion would be to deep clean the couch as it was pretty smelly. Apart from these it was great base for exploring the area and relaxing at the beach.

I stayed at this apartment during my holiday and found the experience to be below average. While the location was decent, there were several issues that made the stay uncomfortable.

The cleanliness was not up to standard—I found insects in the apartment. Basic utensils were missing, which made it hard to prepare simple meals. The main bedroom lock wasn’t working, and the key to the main door was bent, making it really difficult to open the door.

The under ground parking spot was given too us was very narrow hard to park our car. When we call.them regarding this they suggested to park at front or on the street, street parking was uncomfortable especially when it's rainy weather.

Lizard was in my bathroom. No exhaust fan in the bathroom.

Property condition from 4 apartments. 3 of them were so old and outdated and dirty furnitures. All apartments had cockroaches. 1 apartment was renovated which was very nice though no dryer to dry clothes. Which was disappointing I didn’t bother going to reception to complain as we didn’t see any point.Dryer wouldn’t had been installed on our stay. I wanted stress free holiday so after washing I just asked my other friend in another apartment to dry our clothes. Beach front view was nice.

Comfortable beach-facing apartments straight across Trinity beach. We had two cars and we had to park the other car next door which was the only annoying thing. You wouldn't go all the way to Cairns to stay in the apartment. So, if you are just looking for a nice, comfortable place close to the ocean, this is a perfect choice.

Apartment was dated but still in reasonable condition.
The 2 bed apartments are not along the beach, but set along the back of the block facing Moore street. Beach access is a short walk along some stairs.
I think we were the only hotel apartment in the building, others were all living in the building. This meant we were pretty much the only ones using the pool.

Our trip to Cairns was scheduled to be from Dec.18-21. We are from the US and the airline canceled our flight due to cyclone Jasper and airport being closed due to flooding. We couldn’t make the trip due to last minute cancellation. The hotel management was extremely unfriendly and refused to refund the charges. Their policy indicated only 1 night of charge for cancellation. However we were charged for the entire duration of our stay.
I really wanted to rebook with this property when I visit Cairns next as a good will, but I would not any more. The whole city was under water and the management messages us as if nothing happened. We are extremely disappointed.

On arrival the keys to my allocated room could not be found. The afterhours manager was verbally unpleasant. He provided the cleaners key but was unconcerned about security of my stay not knowing who may have access to the room with lost keys. If you want a quiet well apponted 1 bedroom apartment overlooking the Coral sea (through palm trees) where the surf life saver part of the beach is literally 40 paces from the front of the property with all the facilities you need, and well serviced by Gerald and his attentive team you will not be disappointed. If you need to have really fast streaming by wifi and superb Telstra mobile connectivity you've clearly not come for a super relaxing heaven sent holiday. Any reasonable person will be extremely satisfied.

What a View!

In spite of my later arrival, ease of check in was terrific with an after hours key pick up available. Spotless, well appointed apartment with amenities and its patio within steps of the pool. Amazing location. Super roomy. Great shower. Single beds in second room a bit average. Be ok for kids not so much adults. Loved the extra things like drying racks for togs. Was a bit of hike to get luggage up 4 flights of stairs. Pool was small but lovely.

Other than is a 25mins drive from Cairns City, the apartment is spacious and comfortable with cable TV available. Apartment fully equipped with cooking facilities and laundry within the apartment. No lift though.

Planning our next stay!

We stayed in a deluxe 1 bedroom, for 7 nights. Check-in was easy considering we arrived after hours. Our stay was very comfortable, the rain shower head was amazing, the couch roomy and comfortable and the Nespresso coffee machine got plenty of use. The view was amazing from the balcony and the pool and spa was fabulous. The hotel is close to the beach, restaurants and a short walk to the local convenience store. My only critique would be the Wi-Fi was intermittent at times having said that we are planning to stay again as we enjoyed our time there so much.

Excellent apartment in delightful position

A beautiful, waterfront apartment on a good swimable beach. Excellently equipped and maintained. Helpful manager. The biggest disadvantage was no wifi in the room. We had to go to the pool to get wifi!
