That it was close to the beach (5 min. walk) there were 2 pools and the surrounds were wonderful.
On the negative side we were given an upstairs room which meant that we had to carry heavy suit cases up the stairs ( I am 72 yo, and my wife is 66 it was a struggle) the room was clean, but we noticed ants in the bathroom after 2 days, we cleaned them up but they came back every 2 or 3 days. The oven did not work, as did the clock radio and the wall clock. I think that the microwave was in the wrong place as it was very awkward to to operate. I think that the whole unit needs a make over

Have come back twice to stay at this gorgeous resort. The wildlife the pool the tropical feel is so incredible. It’s not over the top which lets you enjoy the warmth of your surrounds and experience. It’s family friendly and close to cairns and port Douglas . I will be returning here for many yrs to come . The family units are spacious and comfortable.

Awesome apartment with just about everything you could need, the wifi is not great in the apartment but that didn't really affect us. The location is awesome and the lagoon pool is a dream. Reception were very helpful on the phone and able to let us have our room early which was amazing. Reception wasn't open often but again not a problem for us. Only criticism is it would have been good to have some tea towels and over gloves in the apartment. Lovely place, in a lovely spot with an amazing pool, will be back!

Stayed at beautiful Marlin Cove for 5 nights over the new year, with 2 Adults and 2 Children the room was beautiful, modern and the pool(s) were amazing. Walked straight out to the lagoon style pool from our room.

We liked the appliances, the quiet, and I loved the lap pool. We thought it was difficult to find because it is partly private residences, and there was nobody at reception. Checkin was by dialling a phone number and then retrieving a door key from a safe box. Lucky they included a map of the property!

The accommodation was lovely however this is the only place we have stayed that has not allowed any early check ins if arriving earlier and the communication, well difficult to get some and when you did it was very generic and and a flat no where as the other locations allowed it if the property was ready especially given we had a child not feeling well

Thoughts from kids who love wildlife
There was a wallaby that liked to spend rainy days on our porch. We named her peekaboo.
The apartment was great and the wildlife added to the atmosphere. We saw lots of wallabies, lots of birds, and one snake all on the grounds.
On our last day we saw a curlew protecting its nest.

Very disappointed with our unit. It was advertised as a luxury unit but was definitely not luxury. The unit was dirty, had to buy cleaning products to clean the kitchen. All cutlery and crockery had to be put through the dishwasher and then scrubbed to get them clean. Mould in bathroom and vanity cupboard door was hanging off and chipped. Chairs from outdoor setting some of the most uncomfortable we've ever sat on even with cushions. Bedside and wardrobe drawers were dirty and had hair in them that we had to clean out.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Trinity is a favourite of ours and the location was perfect, walkable to all cafes and restaurants and beach.
It’s obviously been quiet due to Covid but the cleaning of the property could have been better in bathrooms and the balcony was filthy. A quick sweep meant we could sit outside but it was very grubby and needs a good wash down (entrance balcony does too).

Wonderful venue a short walk from the beautiful beach at Trinity Beach. The apartment was spacious and clean, functionally furnished with a great balcony overlooking a pool. The bathroom was clean and spacious and the bed comfortable. Parking directly out the front. Shopping centre with supermarket a few minutes walk, as are a range of excellent restaurants and the fantastic Trinity Beach Tavern. Everything you need is there, including in the kitchen, washing machine and dryer. Bed is comfortable and with the place being so quiet, a fantastic sleep. Will be back here again!

Our stay at Marlin Cove resort was wonderful. The apartment was clean,cool,cosy and well appointed with everything you need.The gardens are lush and well kept ,the lagoon pool exceptional and watching the Wallabies on the back porch was the perfect way to end the day.It was extremely wet during our stay but transport is easily accessible whether it be taxi or bus if you dont have a car. All in all we had a wonderful stay and will hopefully be back one day as due to the rain we missed out on many of the adventures the FNQLD has to offer.

The property is good and comfortable. But having no reception open is rediculous. We stayed at 3 places in Cairns during our stay and this was the only place with no reception open. We have stayed there previously and all was good. No where to get snacks or drinks, no tour desk, no games room open (at Coconut Resort all was open) and no where to obtain pool towels. I had been looking forward to having a swim on the morning of departure, but could not have a swim and a shower as only 1 towel provided. This is a cost cutting exercise nothing to do with Covid safety.

Overall good value for a family. Appartment was old and couches uncomfortable but the beds were good and reception was lovely. Pool to cold, loved the wallabies that come visit each day

We absolutely loved staying at Marlin Cove Resort, it was everything we hoped for and more. The staff were lovely, the apartment was beautiful and spacious, the view of the pool from our balcony was perfect. The heated pool is exactly what you need in spring, close to a little shopping centre that has everything you need and only a 5min walk to the beach. We actually booked an extra night because we didn't want to leave

It was very dusty - parts of the property was clean and parts were left. The place mats hadn’t had a clean at all, they were sticky and dirty. Not the standard I was expecting. No staff were available as we arrived on Saturday so they were replaced on Monday.Tiny ants were visible by the cooker.
Palm Cove nearby was a much better area with many activities so would have preferred to have stayed there.
