Don't waste your time or money! Pictures do not represent what the actual place looks like. We checked into a run down room, linen on bed had some stains, the room needed better cleaning, it had wall stains from years of not being cleaned properly. Office chair was stained and very nasty. Tiles were missing by the sink, cabinetry knobs were very rusty. Sliding doors were missing a handle (to open, one must pull with finger through a hole). The door slider to the bathroom had not been cleaned out in a while and dirt had collected. The room telephone was missing cal out buttons. When we complained about the room, the front desk was very pleasant and accommodating, she truly tried her best to get our room changed, however, though not her fault, each room either had cockroaches crawling on the floor or the room was not clean.

It has everything I was looking for. It is not a 5 star. I stayed 3 times within 2 week period so I must say it is acceptable to me. I had 3 separate rooms. Staffs are very polite and caring. They came to replace my converter and my safe. Overall. Uber can tale you every where from this hotel.

The worst customer service possible

I stay at this hotel about 20 nights a year. This will be the last time. I accidentally booked the wrong night. Any decent hotel would credit that night to the next stay. But not here. I have been told by the staff I stay here more than any other customer.

No free breakfast EVER no aporeciation of any kind. So they kept my money and not only that but I needed a lays checkout snd they refused that as well.

I calculate I spend over $2000 USD per year here. It is not the nicest hotel in Nairobi, but it is ok. The restaurant is really bad. Do not get the buffet breakfast. It is not good.

I have stayed here a lot so it is clearly in my opinion a good price for the experience. Until you need someone in their hidden management group to take care of a problem.

I give it the worst rating possible due to the extreamly poor management. Not due to the staff. They try hard and apologize for their idiot bosses.

But those bosses are never willing to talk to a customer. And again I am their most frequent customer. So I’m sure if anything ever goes wrong with your trip they will not help you an any way.

Also be sure to book here with Hotels.com if you come it is about 30% less than booking direct.

Have a nice time in Kenya. But if you might want to try a different hotel.

The staff were very professional, room service was excellent, dining options convenient,open 24 hours. Great location, close to malls, easy to get transportation to get around. The size of the room was okay for the price.
I did not like the fact that they did not have a smart tv in my room, the gym looked crammed , not enough space between the machines. Otherwise, I would recommend the property. Special thanks to all the staff who served me.

The hotel tends to be priced attractively, although it is definitely quite worn around the edges. Last time I stayed there I had to change rooms because the AC wasn't working. This has happened to a colleague of mine who stayed there as well.

My main issue is that I have found the booking policies of the hotel very frustrating. I stayed there semi-frequently until recently, when I needed to change a booking. I asked at check-in how to amend the booking and was told it was no problem and I should simply come back later to sort it out. I did that and got told I couldn't amend the booking unless I did it through orbitz. I went online to orbitz and it was clear the hotel had elected to not refund any bookings, so orbitz simply directed me to talk to the hotel.

I brought this up with the staff who proceeded to give me the runaround and told me to talk to the manager (who seemed to never be around when I was around). It was apparently my responsibility to chase the manager and the manager was not able to get back to me on this issue.

Finally, on the day I was checking out, one of the staff members wrote me a 'credit note' stating that I could use it the next time I stayed to the hotel.

Next time I stayed at the hotel, I presented the credit note, and was told it meant nothing and that the hotel didn't provide refunds.

The funny thing is, I stayed at the hotel very regularly and the hotel was making good money off me. Their refund policy is a massive own goal.

At the price point which I paid. This is great value for the money. This is the second time I stayed at this hotel. Will stay there again. The stafg are pleasant and nice. Again, anyone that complains about this hotel needs to book a $250 night hotel which will meet their needs. You can expect to stay at a three-star hotel and get a five-star accommodation.

I am giving a bad review for this hotel that I've stayed at multiple times in the past year. This time round I had a very clean and prepared room, with a used condom on the floor. I then got put into a room that had no water.

Following that, I tried to reduce my stay due to a fluctuation in my itinerary and while the staff were great they had no ability from management whom I never saw once, and proceeded to charge me the full amount.

Absolutely despicable management. Won't ever return.

Very good hotel with an excellent breakfast. The area was fine but I would walk around at night. The restaurant was also good if you don't order the steak.

The only complaint that I had was that there was no hot water. It was like warm.

this is the 4th time I and my small 501c medical team has stayed here. Its been 4 years and unfortunately, although hotel is clean, a lot of general upkeep has not been maintained. for instance broken window locks, deteriorating shower door gaskets, soap scum at bottom of shower glass( could easily be removed with a razor scraper) Some room refrigerators work some do not. The staff is great, the breakfast buffet is very good, the rooftop restaurant, bar is a plus although sometimes service is a bit slow. Minor point but The Nation or the Standard in the lobby news rack would be nice. Probably will stay here again.

We had comfortable stay at Le Maison Royale however we felt the hotel is looking a bit neglected, possibly due to covid.
Our room was a very long way from reception and quite complicated to get to (2 elevators and numerous corridors). We got used to this though, however and did not request a room change.

Pros:
*Staff were friendly and helpful
*Room was big, air-conditioned and kept clean enough
*Location was close to everything you need in westlands

Cons
*Hotel felt neglected and tired
*Food was not great - breakfast was very underwhelming and on our last day we actually went out to eat so we didn’t have to eat the breakfast.
*laundry service does not run on Mondays…we arrived back from safari on Sunday night and wanted desperately to have our clothes washed however couldn’t until Tuesday morning, having them returned early Wednesday morning.

All in all we had a fine stay at Le Maison but probably wouldn’t return.

Late night staff was pleasant and accommodating. But the morning staff and manager were not professional in my opinion. They called to say there would be no electricity all day. When I asked them to document this on my bill, they refused and accused me of lying and trying to incriminate them. The car service they offered was 4x the regular amount paid to drive the 5 minute distance was going and they justified why. Would not stay there again.

Although the reviews indicate the hotel is in a good location, be forewarned that the area is dark and the roads to the hotel are filled with potholes. However, this is NORMAL in Nairobi, even in this part of town.

The location is a short Uber or boda boda ride from the National Museum and shopping. However with traffic and potholes, a 5 minute ride could be 30 minutes. If you're adventurous it might be easier to just walk everywhere.

The staff of the hotel and restaurant were all very nice and helpful. The room itself was disappointing. The bathroom was very small. There is very little clearance between the toilet and the wall. The shower door is also very small. When I visited, when I arrived in my room there was a big glob of hair in the shower, and ants crawling all over the sink. The toilet ran all night which kept me awake. Hot water takes about 10 minutes to get to your shower.

The rooms could use some updating. The air conditioning was adequate, although it wasn't necessary when I visited in January.

A good place for an overnight stop. The service was excellent the only thing to let it down was a continuous drip and suction noise from the toilet system. There was no control for the air conditioner which blow cold air in us all night. However it was a great location to visit the excellent Nairobi National Museum, just a 15 minute walk from the hotel.

Good Hotel But Hotels.com \"Service\" Is Abysmal

Hotel was good overall, it was clean, good sized room and the staff were friendly and helpful as they could be when Hotels.com made a mess of the booking and refused to do anything to put it right.

Booked for bed & breakfast but Hotels.com didn't book the \"free\" breakfasts and wouldn't call or email the hotel to put right their mistake.
I sent dozens of emails to Hotels.com while on holiday but all they did was say they'd tried to call the hotel (they hadn't) and had sent an email (they didn't) & I had to pay for the breakfasts. On returning to the UK, I spent over 2 hours on the phone to their \"customer service \" staff who were nothing but obstructive. They offered a £50 voucher for my next trip (as if I'd book with them again!) but I explained I couldn't pay my credit card bill with their worthless voucher. They even said that it wasn't their policy to refund customers when things went wrong, even if it was their mistake!

Eventually they refunded the cost with £2.60 extra as \"Compensation\" for the 14 hours I'd wasted trying to put right their mistake.
I see they are still advertising the \"Free breakfasts.\"

I'll use hotels.com to see what's available but I'll always book direct with the hotel from now on.

Hotels.com don't care if there's a problem, you're on your own.

The Breakfast is the only good thing here.

There was a lot of things lacking: No tooth-paste, no house keepers long times in a row, no house slippers, lacked some channels for hours, phone was unplugged.

The house keeping crew(the tall guy) felt like it was his business to talk to unknown guest about personal things going on which was none of his business. We come to relax and have our privacy so it is wrong for any employee to start running their mouth to a guest of mine about what happened the other night.....especially was the news is false.

Nothing to write home about , although located in westlands the access road lets it down and poor sound insulation from noise pollution. The property is certainly not 4* it was tired and had a bad odour along the corridors. The rooms could do with refreshing, do not be deceived by the clever photography. Its nowhere near a 4 star hotel.

The room I stayed in was decent. Nothing fancy, the beds are simple, the mattress is comfortable and clean. The beddings are a little dump after room cleaning, but otherwise okay. The room I stayed in was quite at night, but the view was terrible.

The staff at the check-in desk are fine when you come in, but after check-in, they are not so helpful or accomodating. The place is walking distance to Yaya Center. Upon checking in, the staff is great. When you book from Orbitz, there is clear indication that breakfast, parking and wifi are included in ALL rooms. False. The breakfast is an additional $20 per person when you book any one that says Room Only. Beware. However, it is cheaper to book from travel websites than directly from their website, even though you'll know the breakfast issue sooner rather than at 9:00 when you're hungry. For the price, you can get good food within walking distance e.g. Sarit Center. It is accessible to some nightclubs that are walking distance. They have a nice bar on the topmost floor which is brilliant.

This is my experience, I don't know if it is ALL cases, but if you request for replacement for used teacups in the room, they take the dirty cups from the room and wash them and return them to the room rather than bringing in clean teacups when you request.
I would stay at another hotel.

The room we were in, though comfortable, was run down to a degree that seemed like it was impossible for that award to have been won just a year ago.

My whole experience was affected by the fact that the hotel did not receive mu booking from Expedia. As a result i had to pay twice for my stay: to Expedia and then to the hotel. I am still waiting to be reimbursed by Expedia despite contactibg you about one week ago. I was lucky there was a room available the day i did my check in. Otherwise i would have to looked for an alternative.

Most of the staff are very pleasant. The walls are not well insulated to control the sound from next room and hence we had to change rooms. They should not allow the weekend party on the top floor to go beyond 11:00 pm. The Friday evening we stayed there was noisy well beyond midnight.

Nice hotel near to restaurants and malls in Westlands. Room was very clean if oddly shaped. The road is a little rough and not too easy to find. Also, the same photo of the Eiffel Tower was on every level of the building--management can't afford more than one print? Also, the cleaning staff kept asking to clean the room while we were in it during the day and it became annoying.

Good stay - Complimentary drinking water. Excellent , huge, clean rooms. My suite must habe been about 600 sq ft at least. Good access to affluent Westlands area. Fine to walk around the hotel during the day. The immediate area around it can be a little shaky at night, but uber is inexpnsive and comes right to the hotel gate. Complimentary breakfast. Needs working, more up to date, fitness equipment!
