Staff were friendly and helpful, hotel is in the most beautiful setting and after a day trip around Liverpool we had a leisurely swim in the indoor pool a light meal which we thoroughly enjoyed and a restful nights sleep. The only negative was we didnt stay another night to explore the walks around the hotel which was very scenic, we would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

A couple of children in our group absolutely loved the pool and the one child didn't want to go home, I think that says it all

Bed really comfy, plenty of pillows.
We can honesty say, the breakfast was by far the best we've had in a hotel and we have stayed in a lot of hotels in the last 30 years.
The food was plentiful, perfectly cooked and hot.
The staff were welcoming and helpful.
The young man, James on reception when we arrived was a pleasure to deal with.
He went out of his way to help us and make us feel welcome.
We will definitely stay again.

It’s in a lovely hidden location near the canal. Very picturesque. Our room was spacious and comfortable and clean. We had a swim. Pool was warm. Small, but big enough for a swim. Nice breakfast and plentiful. Again, staff were lovely and friendly. We look forward to staying again in the near future.

We received a lovely warm welcome on arrival , our room was modern clean and very big in comparison to other hotels we’ve stayed in. We opted for a meal in the bar , which again was lovely and served in ample time.
Beds were super comfortable and aided a good nights sleep. We hadn’t planned to have breakfast, but decided to in the morning. Again we were greeted with a warm welcome and talked through the options and were offered hot drinks straight away. There were plenty of fresh breakfast options and although I personally think hotel breakfast in general are over priced , here I didn’t feel ripped off.
We chose this hotel due to its location to Cheshire Oaks outlet village, it is only 5mins away and close to the motorway which made it a perfect choice. We had stayed at this hotel many years ago for the same reason and we won’t hesitate to return next time a shopping trip beckons.

The environment offers remarkable tranquility, and I particularly appreciate the serenity of the location. Breakfast was satisfactory; however, the lunch service was less impressive. For individuals unperturbed by potential scrutiny due to their ethnicity, the establishment is adequate, provided one is not overly self-conscious. The hotel itself was acceptable, and the staff were reasonably courteous, although it was evident that they were not accustomed to accommodating Black guests. Nevertheless, this was of little concern to me, as the environment provided precisely the ambiance I sought for my holiday: serene, quiet, and remote.

Lovely stay here last weekend. Room had a nice canal view, it was clean and warm, bed comfortable with a nice cosy duvet. Pillows could have been a bit softer but I slept well, nevertheless. It was a lovely big room, tea and coffee provided.A nice modern bathroom with a walk in shower. Shampoo, shower gel and soap was all Dove products. Had a few problems getting the key card to work but otherwise I cant complain, Breakfast was delicious, plenty of choice and served nice and hot. Staff were lovely, welcoming and helpful. I will be staying here again next year. Definitely recommend tthis place.

Excellent hotel and every single staff member was lovely and very welcoming. Never experienced such lovely staff service in a hotel chain. Room was very clean and the pool was a welcomed addition.

Would definitely stay again. Staff made a fuss of the children and gave them sweets for Halloween which was not expected but very kind and the children loved it!

Only a short drive to Cheshire Oaks and the hotel was set back around the water, with lovely views.

The hotel was clean and generally efficiently run as is typical of the Holiday Inn chain. The debit/credit card system was not available the evening I arrived which was somewhat stressful. The biggest issue though was that I felt cold the whole evening. The room climate control seemed faulty as it didn’t heat my room.

Every member of staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast staff were “on it” clearing tables getting food restocked. Getting drinks. Room was spotless.

The swimming pool and sauna not rated at all. This is outside the hotel. Ignore this and I can’t fault the hotel.

Looks all modern in breakfast area bar and reception.

I would recommend hotel considering some destination chargers for EV. There are some within a short driving distance plus Chester services (10 mins drive) have a lot of fast chargers as well.

We checked for disabled friendly facilities before we booked.
We reserved adjoining rooms and requested disabled facilities in at least one.
This is what we got, on the positive side... Lovely helpful staff who made sure our safety was covered in case of evacuation.
A wet room in one bathroom
Straight out of the lift on the first floor and the first room you see was the disabled access one, easy to find.
Lovely room with enough space to turn my electric wheelchair around in. Low light switches & emergency cords in bathroom & bedroom, also a red light in the event of a fire alarm. I was quite impressed.
As for breakfast/Dinner there is a ramp to access the dining area. My chair slipped on it a few times but it did the job.
Also plenty of accessible parking and the alternative entrance for wheelchairs was great.

The not so good now. The lifts are small so if you have a large wheelchair/scooter you might not get in. Also the corridor when you exit the lift is very narrow. You can't turn a regular size electric wheelchair. I found it easier to reverse in on the ground floor so I exited forwards
The doorway to the disabled access room is standard size. Which is challenging.
In general we found the staff absolutely amazing. From the reception, to housekeeping, the food was delicious, so thank you chefs, the waiting staff were lovely too, so helpful. My only real moan is that they took my partners plate away whilst he was still eating, twice!

Would we stay again? In a heartbeat!
