This is our third time staying here. The room is always clean. The staff is always beyond helpful. The breakfast is delicious, it’s hot and there’s always something for everyone. Great location.

We had a corner suite with a King-size bed and the room was clean and very spacious.
The staff was professional and easy to work with.
The Breakfast was standard hotel fare and was fresh and well-maintained by the kitchen staff.

The room was clean but the shower leaked all over the floor, and the refrigerator didn’t have a freezer! We needed to keep something’s frozen so we went to my son’s room and his freezer didn’t work (fridge had water in the bottom. So plan C, went to get ice from the ice machine which was out of order…..
The woman at the front desk was very helpful and went and got us some ice!!
Also only one elevator was working.
Seems like for the price, the hotel was pretty badly maintained!!
The staff was great!!
(Parking was $24 a night as well)

Very clean hotel. All staff was super nice. Just outside of downtown Pittsburgh. Only about a 15 minute drive to get to Acrisure stadium. Area seemed super safe. We even walked around at night.

We went for a concert that was canceled and the manager allowed the guest before us to cancel her reservation but did not allow us to cancel. We did not use any of the amenities but one elevator broken and the other is very slow and dings loudly at every floor even if the doors don’t open.

The only real things to raise are:
1) pick a room away from Baum Ave. because there is quite a bit of traffic noise and it does not make for good night’s sleep, and
2) the windows were either slightly dirty or an fogged up (I could not tell) and hence the view was a bit obscured.

The room was clean, except for the sofa bed. When we tried to open it, it was full of crumbs in between the pads. As a point of engineering, the toilet bowl in the bathroom of the room we stayed in was mounted at an angle with the wall, not parallel with it, which we found odd. The staff was helpful, when you can find someone. The breakfast was terrible, eat somewhere else if you don't want to start your day badly.

The room was very clean as well as the reception and dining areas. There were no additional items in the room room besides the very basic soap, shampoo and conditioner, but I was given moisturizer when I requested. Less waste, which I appreciate.
The staff at breakfast was exceptional and the meal was very good also.
The reception staff at the hotel was average -- nothing wrong with it, but nothing worthy of mentioning. Coldly professional.

Although I booked months ago, I somehow was assigned a room on a pet friendly floor. Pee stains on hallway carpet. On day two of my two night stay there was an awful odor in hallway which I reported to the front desk. Bathroom was poorly designed: spout on sink faucet was not long enough, so water was all over counter every time I used it. Shower door leaked so water all over floor when I showered. There were issues with check out: I paid half when I booked thru Expedia but the hotel had no record of my deposit. On the plus side, bed was comfortable, parking convenient ($24 per day) and breakfast was included.

Nice hotel in a great location, very walkable. We had the corner studio suite. Perfect room for a bit longer stay like we had. Lots of room & space for your things. Nice secured parking lot. Good breakfast. Bar and restaurant available. We’ve stayed here a few times. It’s one of the places we always come back to.

I reserved this hotel for UPitt Graduation. The location close to campus was convenient. The room and bathroom were clean. What I didn’t like was being woken early on Sunday morning by a marathon and loud music right outside my hotel room window. No sound proofing means I heard everything and had no chance of going back to sleep.

The breakfast was pretty good. There was a power outage during our stay and the staff was great. They brought out glowsticks for the kids and flashlights. The power was restored within an hour.

The only problem was the elevator acting up and taking a long time. We used the stairs.

Front desk was super helpful and had great attitude. She showed us tables in the back of the lobby that me and my group were able to sit together and eat dinner once we arrived and settled in. Rooms were very clean and spacious. We loved the little kitchenette and counter island. It did take some time for the cribs for our little ones to get to our room. A littler sooner would’ve been a help instead of waiting till 1230am for the cribs to come. (We checked in at around 930). But that was fine I’m sure it was just a mixup. Our great experience otherwise outweighed that little hiccup. If we are in the area again we will surely revisit this place. Thank you!

Overall the room is in need of a renovation . The drainage in the tub|shower was not good. Drawers didn’t open properly in the bedroom dresser.

One elevator was out of service during our stay. The second elevator went out of service during checkout time, which resulted in having to carry all of our luggage down 5 flights of stairs. The staff did not seem to have a backup plan in place for both elevators being out of service & rolled their eyes when we expressed frustration about there being no signage posted about the out of service elevators. A simple offer of a complimentary water bottle or some other compensation for the inconvenience would have been more appropriate than the response we received from the front desk staff.

The hotel was clean and nicely designed. **the air freshener they spray is terrible. Ask for them not to spray it because you can’t even open a window. Hotel is outdated in the hallways but the room was cute and clean. Staff were attentive and very kind.

Biggest complaint is that the shower design was very poor and even when the door was closed completely water was running out of the shower onto the floor outside making it very dangerous. Additionally, there was no fan in the bathroom which was less than ideal.
The actual bedroom area was very nice, parking was safe and plentiful, and there are a lot of restaurants nearby. The complimentary breakfast was also very good.
The fact that you have to request housekeeping the night before is kind of annoying.
Also, I called twice to confirm my request for early check in and late check out and was assured it was put in the system, but upon arrival it turned out that was not the case.

It’s a nice hotel. Power outage hit shortly after we checked in and lasted more than 24 hours (so no lights — except emergency lights, no heat, hot water, elevators, breakfast…) — not something they could control, but staff didn’t seem to know anything about what to do in these circumstances. They shrugged a lot. Said they could comp parking charges. While guests struggled to open and close sliding electric doors, staff sat in chairs in the lobby and watched. Unclear whether any refund credits would be issued to the charges we paid through Expedia. Under better circumstances, a nice hotel.

Nice location, close to CMU campus, well designed one bedroom studio, free breakfast with all the basics, including oatmeal. It will be better, if hot water is available all the time(it's out in the afternoon). And oatmeal container don't have a plastic wraper inside it.

The staff was wonderful and you can't beat the value and the location especially if you are looking for proximity to UPMC hospital. The room was much larger than I have experienced for the same money and the bed very comfy. If I were to ask for any improvement it would be to add
a shower-cap and lotion to the toiletries. Will definitely stay there again if the need arises.

Staff was courteous but we had an awful time during our staff due to a rowdy group of youngsters who were up running around all night until 2 am. The hotel thought it was a good idea to put all these kids on the FIFTH floor so that they completely disturbed everyone’s sleep on the 4th floor. It was outrageous…the floors/ceilings/walls etc are very very thin in this hotel so the noise and commotion was felt and heard throughout the hotel.
We called down to the front desk at least three times. Meghan, the night auditor was very sweet and tried to help but apparently she can’t leave the front desk. She apparently called the night watchman to go up and calm things down but nothing changed.
The worst room was right above us in room 511. The boys (three of them…we saw them) literally sounded like they were jumping off the beds and landing on the floor. Until 2 am
I finally went upstairs myself. Saw kids running up and down the hallway with the chaperones just sitting there. I told the adults how outrageous the situation was but their response was “go back to bed..leave us alone”. Unreal
This school or church or team should be banned from Hyatt hotels forever
I am SO disappointed with Hyatt management for allowing this. What is the protocol for dealing with a situation like this? Why were these kids put on a top floor so that everyone could hear them? Why did the noise continue?

I had a solid stay overall. The room was clean and well-maintained, the breakfast was good, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The location is also convenient for getting around the city.

The only downside was the parking. There is a parking fee that isn’t very clearly disclosed during booking, which was an unpleasant surprise at check-in. I’d recommend the hotel make this more obvious upfront to avoid confusion.

Aside from the parking issue, it was a comfortable and positive stay.

Very Disappointing Experience
Unfortunately, my stay was cut short due to a strong, unpleasant odor in the room. The smell was overwhelming and made the room intolerable, even after trying to air it out. Because of this, I had no choice but to leave and find accommodations elsewhere. Cleanliness and air quality are basic expectations for any hotel, and this experience fell well below that standard. I would not recommend staying here unless this issue is properly addressed.
