We stayed one night and the hotel was great. Most of the staff were very kind some of the front desk staff definitely acted and looked like they did not like their job. Hotel is located in a great area very close to the train. Would stay there again

Hotel is old and my room was not updated. Found front door staff to be unhelpful and when I asked to store my luggage they just put it in a conference room that was unlocked. It took 35 minutes to get my car from the valet and the valet charges were ridiculously high for Pittsburgh.

Although this is a beautiful building there is no pool, the bedding was gross, mini fridge barely worked, you couldn’t stream networks on the tv and the parking was expensive. Also you can hear every noise from surrounding rooms. This hotel is a good suit if you are in town on business not leisure.

The hotel was beautiful felt like I was in a fancy hotel in a movie. We stayed there to attend a concert. It was a 30 min walk to football stadium. Not a bad walk if you took your time. Room was very nice clean only thing I found was a dried contact on the bathroom floor.

This gorgeous classic hotel in the heart of Pittsburgh is an easy walk to anywhere in the downtown area, the North Shore including PNC park and the Warhol Museum, and to the South Shore's Station Square area and the lower Monongahela incline. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff was helpful. The hotel offers valet parking, but a less expensive option is right across the street in the Mellon Square parking garage (where we parked). The hotel has a grand lobby and several options for drinks and dining including a speakeasy in the basement and a good coffee shop. If you are staying in this hotel or any other Omni, be sure to join the Omni Select Guest loyalty program for extra perks such as drink vouchers and room upgrades.

We were expecting a pleasant stay at this hotel, but were quite disappointed.

First, the wi-fi connection in our room was horrible. When it worked, it was very slow, but it continually kicked us off the Internet. We asked for help three times with no improvement. I had work that had to get done during the trip, so the poor service kept us from doing some of the things we wanted to do in Pittsburgh.

Second, a vagrant pursued me in the hotel lobby. I had never before experienced a panhandler in the lobby of a hotel.

Three, we had problems with a toilet that did not flush properly. Not something one would expect from a hotel in this price range.

We reported these issues multiple times. No one seemed to care.

I had a room with a shared door to another room. You could hear everything from the other room. It also took a bit for warm water in the morning and no coffee in the room. Which was a bummer but a great coffee shop in the lobby but pricey.

The Omni William Penn was absolutely old school elegant. The property was gorgeous and well cared for. There was a reasonably priced parking lot which we selected instead of valet parking. The location was wonderful with many great restaurants nearby. It was our first visit to Pittsburgh and the Omni William Penn was one of the many highlights of our trip. Treat yourself to memorable elegance!!!!

Walking distance to the convention center and several restaurants. Hotel does have two places to eat later at night which was very convenient. Beds were comfortable and room had everything that we needed for our three night stay. Staff was friendly and helpful!

This is our second time staying here because it is convenient to walk to the Convention Center. It’s an older property and our room was an odd very small corner room. The shower curtain did not contain the shower water well so we had to be careful to not flood the floor. There isn’t much for quick grab food options especially late at night so it’s nice to have food options at the hotel.

The location of this hotel is fantastic, but there are many hotels in the area. We paid extra to enjoy the luxury of this hotel and did not receive the best service. The coffee pods in our room were not replaced nor was the water. One occasion as we passed by our room the housekeeper asked us to unlock it for her as her key didn’t work. I’m unsure how she was going to get in there if we hadn’t passed….

When we pointed out that we had not received exemplary service, we received two coupons for a free glass of house wine.

Some of the furnishings are a bit worn and the food at the terrace room restaurant was lacklustre. The wine they served me was old and had to be taken away.The speakeasy was fun but quite highly priced. Service in the coffee shop was friendly and attentive.

In regards to price point, I do not feel that it was worth the extra investment.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel. Incredibly clean and quiet, and all around amazing. My only complaint is that the \"bouncer\" for the speakeasy was rude. He at one point told the lady next to me that we needed to \"calm down\" because we were laughing. It was saint Patrick's day weekend and the other guests in there were louder than we were, we just happened to be sitting near the doors. He also practically shoved me out of my seat when new customers came in and I was trying to say goodnight to a friend.

Loved staying at the William Penn Omni. Excellent location within walking distance of theaters, Market Square, Station Sq, museums, restaurants and the Strip district. The staff was friendly and helpful (especially enjoyed talking to Patrick who was our bartender). The room was spacious and clean. Would definitely stay here again!!

Overall, very nice. Housekeeping on the day of our checkout though knocked on the door at 8:00 am to see if we had left yet - I’m not complaining about that, but it did wake us up and we thought it was odd. This stay has set the standard!! The Omni William Penn was an amazing experience. In addition to being simply stunning, great architecture, and perfectly located for what we needed, it offered many amenities. We were there for a week and hated to leave. First, every single team member was nothing short of excellent offering great service, always happy to help and just a pleasure. We did breakfast every morning in The Terrace Room, and our host, Harris, was superb. He knew us by name every morning, great attention to detail, friendly and a great guy. He made the breakfast a great experience as well. The room was very comfortable, gym was great, and while we were there for events at the PPG arena, this location is a quick 6 minute walk to the arena. We will definitely come back even if it's just to stay here.

Stayed here initially back in Nov 2019 and love it so much, we came back and does not disappoint. Love the fact that there are multiple restaurant locations to choose from. The gumbo in dome of their establishments are awesome btw, even though I've lived in New Orleans and know how original gumbo is made. They incorporate a tomato base within it that's makes it even better and might even rival NOLA gumbo, although New Orelans locals might not like me saying lol. Rooms are clean, large and well taken care of. The value is worth it.

Our recent stay at the Omni William Penn was largely fantastic—the kind of classic, high-end experience you expect from a historic Pittsburgh landmark. If you’re heading to an event at PPG Paints Arena, the location is unbeatable; it’s a quick, easy walk that saves you the headache of event-day traffic.
The room was spotlessly clean with some of the most comfortable bedding we’ve encountered in a while. The bathroom was modern, with excellent water pressure, and a shower that actually feels like a luxury experience. We also grabbed a meal at The Tap Room on-site. The food was delicious and the convenience of staying in-house for a quality meal can’t be overstated.
The only hiccup—which isn't a fault of the hotel’s service, but definitely a logistics \"gotcha\"—is the parking height restriction. The self-parking garage recommended on the hotel’s website has a 6'0\" clearance. This effectively rules out most full-size trucks and many large SUVs. We spent about 15 minutes scouting nearby alternatives, but even the closest secondary garage topped out at 6'2\". If you’re driving a larger vehicle, save yourself the search and head straight to the hotel’s valet.
While valet is an additional expense, the staff was professional, quick, and handled everything perfectly. We would have simply brought a smaller car had the height restriction been clearly noted on the site, so hopefully, this helps the next traveler plan ahead!
Despite the parking puzzle, we’d absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful hotel, like stepping into the past. There is some wear and tear noticeable in some spots on walls and in the elevator, but nothing major. Architecture is gorgeous. Room was spacious and comfortable. Restaurants were open and moderately busy. Breakfast buffet is delicious! It was a lovely getaway for Valentine’s Day.
