It was really nice stay. The rooms felt a little small compared to the price, however the rooms were very nice. And the location for this hotel was perfect. Alot of spots in walking distance. And a excellent spot for the interstate.

Hotel was awful. Put us in an accessible room and shower flooded the bathroom and seeped out onto the carpet in bedroom area every time anyone took a shower. Called for help and they did nothing to remedy the situation even though they told us they called maintenance. Room smelled musty and I’m sure it’s because of the wet floors. Asked to be moved, they cap as they couldn’t move us. Asked to speak to manager, was told they would get a message to them on Monday. As a Hilton member, worst experience ever and I would never stay there again for rate we paid. They should have adjusted my bill immediately. I have pictures to prove this.

Great location staff was really helpful. I didn’t try out the restaurant. The food look good from what I saw online good size room for one or two people stayed in their king compact room. It is small. I keep seeing people complaining about the small on the compact room, it’s compact.
A little dusty in there so I think things could use a bit of a wipe down better than that is great for one night day

Room was clean and walking distance to many locations but the front desk staff not very helpful when checking in. It just looked like a coffee shop and I didn’t even know it was check in until I asked if this was where I checked in. They handed me the room keys but didn’t tell me the room number or about any amenities, until I asked my room number and what they had at this hotel since this was the first time staying here. When we checked out, the front desk person was also the coffee person which held up check out. Parking was expensive and seemed short staffed, as many times only one person working and multiple cars need to be parked or were being picked up and staff said they were running between 3 hotels. Room was tiny for the price, so the value wasn’t great.

It is a nice hotel but not the best in the market for what you are paying. The room was ok. However, even when we wanted daily cleaning service, they did not do it. The fridge in the room was only useful to freeze things. Finally, the food in the restaurant was not so good.

The rooms are tiny for the price. The staff was not helpful whatsoever. The were having a conversation instead of informing us of how to use the elevator (must use key card to select floor) didn’t even acknowledge us. Also had to ask specifically for our breakfast vouchers upon check out, which is good we did otherwise we would have had to pay full price in the cafeteria. Overall 5/10 experience, I’ll never be staying here again.

Hotel was excellent and unique lobby furniture and decor, with plenty of seeting areas in lobby and other sections to work or visit with others. Also, roof top terrace was open and had plenty of seating and great views of river and hillside area. Staff was very friendly and provided excellent recommendations and advice on where to go and not go. Be sure the ask.

The rooms are nicely done and clean but TINY. The fitness room is great, as was the restaurant and bar. Staff was very helpful and the style of the hotel is unique (appears to have been an old theater). As long as you don't mind literally having 2' around the edge of the bed and that's it, it is a nice place to stay. Not within walking distance to most things but a cheap Uber ride away.

We stayed during the NFL Draft. We could not check in earlier but was allowed to leave our luggage with the front desk. It wasn’t secure but everything was fine. Valet was super easy and fast. They decorated the lobby for the draft which made it exciting! Very nice touch. The room itself was spacious. Amenities were great. For 1000 plus a night, still wish we got a free breakfast but we knew we could go to the restaurant attached. Never made it there. No complaints at all. Would stay here again.

The hotel was very clean and I received a text from staff twice during our stay to check in with us. The hotel itself was very cute, cute decor and inviting lobby and bar.
We didn't really care for the location, most stores, and coffee shops in the surrounding area were closed on Saturday and Sunday morning. Just not an idea location.

Over the past four years we have stayed at the Joinery, which is close to Point Park University's campus. The hotel is getting a little worn. I noticed things like peeling wall paper, loose tissue holders, loose hooks, etc.

I always sleep well at the Joinery, the heavy curtains help keep the room dark. I also use the workout room, which would benefit from a deep clean.

The Joinery is a good hotel, not as expensive as some others nearby with adequate amenities.

Nice, clean quiet room - the first choice, on the 5th floor with an interior view of the parking garage, was not great - the front desk was super nice and moved us to a higher floor. The valet in and out all day was especially helpful as it was graduation weekend and we had a lot of errands to run. I just wish the bar and restaurant were better at this property - they are usually pretty underwhelming. But I love the Joinery otherwise - really convenient downtown Pittsburgh location close to everything.

So understaffed we had to wait until 5pm to be given a room and were late for our dinner reservations. There was one young woman working the front desk. She was lovely but incapable of managing the crowd of people who occupied the lobby because housekeeping wasn’t ready with the rooms. She should not have been alone at the front desk on a busy Saturday. 4:00pm is already a late check-in time; 5pm is ridiculous. The room was clean but small and spartan, like a dorm room. There was absolutely nothing “boutique” about this place. We were very disappointed.

Clean rooms, solid place to stay just beware of the strange parking arrangement (they will insist you need $45 valet overnight but there’s a parking garage right next door for $15 overnight). Quiet, nice staff, fancy decor. We got there and there was a big wait for rooms so we couldn’t check into one of the rooms until an hour after the stated check in.

Check-in was a breeze and staff was super friendly. Bed was comfortable and pillows didn't suck (which I find a lot of hotels and the worst pillows - they flatten out into nothing when you sleep). Shower was just okay, they were out of conditioner and the shelf wad broken, so it wouldn't hold my toiletries. In the grand scheme of things, it was all still okay for my business stay.

Staff was friendly but the hotel/room itself could use some work. Bathroom could’ve been cleaner & while we booked a smaller room, if the layout of the furniture were different, there would’ve been a lot more space - felt claustrophobic. Only one elevator that if you were going down, you couldn’t go on if it was going up which took forever. To add, we self parked instead of using valet (valet was more expensive but parked in the same lot we could self park in) but they failed to warn us that the garage we used to park, would be CLOSED for the marathon. We almost had to sit in the garage until the race was over (checkout was 11, race was over at 1) until a very kind garage worker let us out. Great location but needs work.

The Joinery was the perfect location and it was maybe a 15 minute walk to Market Square. It was a lot of luxury for a reasonable price. The food in their restaurant was fantastic!! We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner and was not disappointed either time. The staff was beyond friendly and very polite and helpful!! They accommodated us with our little pug, Deebo, who also enjoyed his stay!

Ive never stayed at a hotel with valet parking before. Parking situations tend to make me anxious and I had no idea what to expect. We pulled up and a guy came right over and talked to us. Asked how long we'd be staying, how soon we would need the car if at all during the stay and all that.

Check in was fairly normal as any other place. Fast and easy.

We stayed for St. Pats and one of the biggest things we were excited about was utilizing the rooftop to watch the parade and what an amazing experience that was!! Highly recommend!

The only thing that I think could've been better (which is really just my own opinion) is better explaining the hold that is placed on your card when you check in, then how the valet parking is deducted from that hold rather than you paying. It was a little confusing when i saw it all on my statement but i did work everything out and it was fine!

Definitely plan to come back for another stay

Breakfast was average. The dining area was not cleaned whatsoever. We went for breakfast as we had the vouchers that came with the booking. To find the same food and dirty tables when eating. Also, there was mould in the water, everything wasn’t cleaned to a standard and to the price that we paid for three nights - not worth it. The room was mediocre, the mirror in the bathroom was broken, and the bedsheets were disgustingly yellow. Not to mention there’s no parking on the property. We had to walk to our spot. All in all If you’re booking in Pittsburgh would recommend passing up on this property.

The property is run down, the rooms are tiny and I woke up with a sore back every morning. There is no dresser in the room to store your clothes, and the only place to sit is either on the bed, or on 1 chair that won't fit anywhere else in the room except in front of a folding desk positioned in front of the tv on the wall.
If you arrive before check-in, they want to charge you an extra $50 even if they have rooms ready.
The attached restaurant's menu is small without a very good selection, and the food is not very good at all, they seem to overcook everything.

Room was 78 degrees upon arrival set ac to 68 and hour later it was 79 degrees. HVAC was not working. Brought it up to front desk and nothing could be done. Breakfast at restaurant in hotel is good. Do not believe there is any complimentary options available.

The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The rooms and all of the public areas were very clean and well maintained. I will say the room layout was a bit awkward. Having the hangers for clothes right above the refrigerator allowed for the clothes to constantly get in the way of closing the refrigerator, and overall it didn’t seem like the space was used efficiently. The hotel was a great location and easily accessible. I would probably not use the valet parking next time, as there is a public lot adjacent to the hotel, and a public garage approximately 100 steps away, both of which are available for half of what the valet charge is.

If it wasn't for the bartender being nice, we would have given this a lower review.
Booked a king bed and was placed in a room with a single queen. When we complained they repeatedly tried to gaslight us as if we weren't capable of knowing a bed measurement. They were 1 hour late letting us in to our reservation that we had booked for months, causing us to be late for our event. We demanded free drinks and they wrote that down and then claimed it was free dinner that was requested (second time trying to gaslight us, so I once again informed them that we already had dinner plans and wanted drinks). The whole first night the air conditioner was broken and it was blowing heat on us when it was 78 degrees outside ruining our sleep. The thermostat said 65, it was certainly much hotter. When we asked for repairs we were told we would have to wait for mid morning for the repairs. I demanded another couple of drinks for the inconvenience of having to sweat it out for the night. Got the bar to be told that they only give out free well drinks. After complaining again we were able to get better cocktails with our drink tokens.
Very clean and the records were cool but I won't stay there again because there were SO many issues.
Also, if you use more than one towel, ask for extra up front. They only give the bare minimum.
