Hotel is beautiful; lobby area great-seating & indoor fireplace, can relax with your group. Great rooftop patio with tables & seats-you can take beverages and food from 1st floor restaurant/bar up to enjoy view of Monongahela River. Restaurant/bar area was welcoming & open til 10 pm. (Fantastic coffee shop, De Fer Coffee & Tea located across the street from hotel - highly recommend). Staff friendly & efficient. Hallways very quiet, but rooms have a lot of highway noise (unavoidable due to location); hotel provided earplugs in room. Bathroom beautiful, but vanity inside bathroom, so only one1 person can get ready at a time. The shower is spacious & beautiful, but no grab bar or shelf to hold onto; diverter for handshower too high for 5'2\" 86-year-old woman to reach (she has no physical disabilities and does not need accessible room, but a grab bar in a shower is a safety item all hotel showers should have). Bathroom door is sliding frosted glass. Again, beautiful, but we had to be careful not to walk towards the bathroom door area while someone else was using bathroom because we could see the person's silhouette and what they were doing - unsettling lack of privacy for us. We chose to stay in one room because we were arriving late and only stayed one night, so the expense of multiple rooms at the \"graduation week\" price in Pittsburgh that night seemed unnecessary. Paid parking-normal for Pittsburgh. Park in adjacent garage & get exit pass from front desk or in small lot.

My Hotel stay overall was great. Only issue I encountered the first day was what looked to be a stained/dirty comforter. I brought it to the attention of housekeeping and she immediately took it and replaced with a clean one.
Staff is great here. Good location.

Never a good sign when your room comes with earplugs for “Neighborhood Sounds”. Beware: all rooms with two beds are facing and adjacent to a very busy turnpike. We didn’t get a good rest and will never stay there again.

The hotel is decent in terms of cleanliness and service however the hotel room my partner snd I stayed in was on the 6th floor (top floor) with exposed concrete ceilings and laminate flooring (hard to keep clean, feet felt dirty and sticky) and likely poorly insulated walls. This does not control sound absorption and acoustics very well. It was extremely echo-y and both nights we were woken up past midnight by the people beside us by just watching tv and chatting perhaps at a louder than normal volume however we could hear the tv word for word. We could also hear the transport trucks on the highway all night as well as the restaurant employees doing their garbage dump run which was directly below outside. Location is good and overall atmosphere was nice.

Stayed one night for pleasure. Property abuts a busy road near the highway. Would recommend NOT staying on that side of hotel as it is noisy all night long. Shower drain was 95% clogged. I won't be staying here again.

I would have given this hotel 5 stars if not for the tile at the bottom of the shower. Was coming apart and needed updating. The size of the tv could be bigger. Otherwise I liked the hotel. Room was very spacious. Water pressure was great. Clean and beautifully decorated hotel

The room was in good condition but the sheets had orange markings on them, hand towels also had orange markings. The hotel parking policy is not the best. I purposely didn’t select parking on booking but when I got to the hotel I was told if I book a hotel thru Expedia I automatically had to pay 22$ a night. But the clerk at the hotel Indigo ask me what type of parking did I I want. I selected the 10$ parking. But this was my issue with the hotel!

First time staying at this hotel. We were very pleased with everything from the very clean and spacious king bed room to the absolutely wonderful staff we encountered throughout our stay. The staff was polite and friendly and very helpful and accommodating with my mother and I and our mobility issues.
We are in Oakland area a lot for doctor appointments, so we are adding this hotel to the top of our list of usual places to stay.
And the food at the in house restaurant was delicious and the wait staff delivering room service were also wonderful.

Unfortunately my recent stay was disappointing.The room did not appear to have been cleaned properly. There was a shirt left from previous guest, hair in the shower, and the pull out couch had chips and other debris in it. Overall the rooms didn’t feel clean and comfortable. I’ve stayed here before and had a much better experience.

Very cute hotel with friendly staff. It was December so was decorated for Christmas in the lobby. Restaurant inside hotel was good as well. Bed was average and pillows were not the greatest but overall the hotel was excellent for the price and very close to traveling to the Steelers stadium, the ballet, the incline, and more.

Love the staff, hotel is very clean and the appreance was fantastic. I was so disappointed in the TV in my room. No smart TV in the room. The tv made the decor look awful. Also computer did not work in the lobby. I stayed in the Indigo for Seven days and also had three rooms book. These item are much needed in a hotel.
I am planning a trip for New Years and I want to book the Indigo again but without having a smart TV or computer I probably need to stay at the Hyatt House.

Kind of dirty. I woke up with gray hairs in my hair bc they didn't change the sheets. There were pubes all over the shower in the far end. Room was really dark and poor lighting. I woke up every 30 minutes because of engine braking from semi trucks on I376 parkway. Kind of terrible experience. Putting this 2 out of 5 for views (as 1 out of 5 may seem like someone is griping for no reason)

My car got scratched in the parking lot. Front desk didn’t gave me a receipt upon check out. It is not possible to get to a real person while using their customer services phone lines and the AI “agent” just spins you round and round without providing any rea solutions until it hangs up on you. The “reservation number” is not any of the numbers I have on my Expedia information, so as of right now it is not possible for me to get the receipt from my stay.

Very clean! Good food in the restaurant. I like the decor as it represents the city. I would stay here again, however, I will bring my own pillow. The pillows in the room are very thick and stuffed firm. They were too tall for both of us. That is just personal preference.

A bit disappointed

The hotel is nice but very dark. The room was also very dark. It was a nice room. It overlooks the highway which the nice doesn’t bother me at all. Floors need to be a bit more clean. I felt the parking rate was about excessive. I understand everyone charges but I usually pay 15-20, not 30 a night Overall it served its purpose.

We liked the close proximity to UPitt and the cleanliness of the common areas and our room. We also liked the total black out blinds. Parking was easy and close. Having a running/bike trail nearby was great as well.
We did not like the noise level. We could hear conversations through our bathroom vent and also when people arrived to their rooms between 2-3am both nights we stayed on property. Noise level to the highway is also high, but more like white noise for us. One of the two elevators was also out of service, for part of our stay. While these are things out of the hotel’s control, we did share our experience and they very generously comped our parking fees.

Excellent food and service. The only problem was a car alarm that went off continuously starting at 2:00am in the hotel parking lot.
I walked down to the parking lot personally and reported the specific car and license plate to the front desk. The alarm continued continued to go off throughout the night into the early morning into the 7:00 am hour. Not a good night sleep

The hotel was very new, comfortable and clean. The valet driver for the car service Marvin was EXCELLENT, he was super knowledgeable about the town and was a true gentleman.

All that said, I would never stay there again because of the highway noise in the room. The highway which is 50 feet away from the hotel is EXTREMELY noisey all through the night making it very difficult to sleep soundly. I even tried the ear plugs but it did not help.

The traffic noise is so loud they provide earplugs (which are no help). We not only had the traffic side of the building but also were put right above the patio - where they left the music on all night even though no one was out there!

The roof deck is nice, but that’s all it is - a roof deck. No food, no drinks, just some tables.

There was a FREE shuttle service that goes within a 3 mile radius that no one told us about, so wasted money on Ubers.

Parking says $22/day, but with taxes it’s $33!

Would not recommend.

Very noisy if you are assigned a room facing the road and highway. You couldn't fall asleep and will be woken up midnight by the traffic outside.

Water pressure is very low and unusable.

The receptionists are always on the phone servicing other customers. You will be kept waiting.

Overall, we had a good stay! The hotel room was clean and comfortable, and we didn’t have any major complaints. The rooftop deck is definitely a highlight—super cute and a great spot to hang out or unwind.

One downside was the lighting throughout the hotel. It has a very dim, date-night vibe, which is fine for the lobby but not so great in the rooms—especially when you’re trying to get ready for a wedding or event. The front desk mentioned this is a common complaint and offered to bring up an extra lamp, but we declined since all the lamps use the same low-wattage bulbs.

A couple of other things to note: there’s no microwave in the room, but there is one available in the lobby. Also, right outside the hotel there are bike rentals, and you can easily and safely walk across the nearby bridge. On the other side, there’s a nice cluster of restaurants, a fun arcade, and a bowling spot—perfect for a casual night out.

Would definitely recommend for a laid-back stay with convenient access to fun local spots.

Our room was facing the highway and it was too loud. I was traveling with my family of 2 kids, so I couldn’t take their offer to switch to a single bedroom either. The associates were friendly and were willing to offer alternatives that couldn’t serve us though. So if you are travelling with kids make sure you don’t take the room facing the highway.

Lovely property. Loved the accessible rooftop with lovely view of the Hot Metal bridge. Location was somewhat isolated but we accessed the hotels free shuttle, that covers a 3m radius and found it to be perfect. We loved the proximity to protected walking/biking trials.

The room was very clean and people very nice. They cleaned the room during my stay which some places don’t these days. Down side-mattress was too soft, water pressure just adequate, lighting in the bathroom positioned so I had trouble seeing to do stuff at the sink. They did accommodate my allergies with fragrance free sheets and do not use drier sheets but do use fabric softener, so I brought my own pillow and wore pajamas that covered most of rest. Location is noisy but that did not really bother me. Some people might object to noise. They did give you ear plugs. TV worked well but there was no guide to the channels so had to just scroll through to find what I wanted.
