We ordered room service coffee. It cost $17.50 for 2 paper cups in a cardboard carrier, little creamer pods, no \"stirrers\".
Parking was very expensive ($45/ night)
No fridge or microwave.
Cups did not fit the in-room coffee maker.
No hooks at all in bathroom.
Weird, square sink that didn't drain well.
VERY disappointed in this Hilton hotel. (We also stayed in a nearby Hampton Inn that was wonderful, & cheaper)

This was the perfect place to stay while we were in town to see the Detroit Red Wings play the Pittsburgh Penguins at PPG Paints Arena. We parked overnight at US Steel Tower Garage (44 Bigelow Ave), which was right across from the hotel, and then could easily walk to the hotel from there. We then walked 5 mins to the arena to see the game.
The hotel was quiet and very clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly. It was a nice stay and the suite we stayed was a great place to hang out for the evening. We did not get breakfast or dinner but there is a restaurant on site.
I highly recommend this hotel and hope to stay here again.

Parking was terrible, the valet lost my car key. Bed were tiny I’m pregnant and me and my husband couldn’t fit in it. Fridge sitting on the floor very ghetto. Staff was not very friendly and $36 to park one night at a hotel you’re staying at is insane

This is a great option if you need to be downtown. In our case, we were going to a hockey game, and the location was perfect. We also ordered room service, and the kitchen staff was friendly and happy to help my picky child with allergies. The indoor pool is also nice. With that being said, the rest of the hotel feels kind of run down, and there’s not much in the way of food near by on weekends.

Room was clean but half of the rings on the shower curtain were broken, making it hard to open/close. Restaurant was good. Location is great for our visit. Room cards stopped working after came back from the NHL game we attended but staff had thr problem fixed immediately.

We stayed while a event was going on at the ppg arena got back to the hotel around 11:30pm and dropped off my car. The next morning checking out the gentleman getting my car had no clue where it was. He eventually did find my car and all was well but I suggest maybe putting someone else on at nights. The gentleman picking up my car the next morning was very apologetic and kind.My room was nice except the bathtub had stuff all through it and on the floor. But other than that is was a wonderful place and staff was very nice.

Absolutely the worst valet situation I ever encountered. The staff was friendly but we couldn't just walk to our van, it was always busy and took forever. The elevators also took so long to get one. Just not a great experience and we won't stay again. Maybe it's someone else's cup of tea , just not ours

Hotel was very clean for it being under construction. But with that some of the rooms had been updated, which were amazing, but certain amenities were left put and we were not warned ahead of time.

Now the hotel was amazing in getting us the mini fridge and microwave but a heads up would of been appreciated. Especially because if we did not call down and ask for them we probably would not have gotten them.

A very minor inconvenince, but minor things like that are usually why we stay at Hiltons because they are always ontop of it so it was a let down to see that they werent this time.

Will be going back once full renovations are complete for sure.

Staff was amazing, polite, and helpful. (The free cookies are always a plus)

The parking situation was rough but understandable being back to back games for the Pens. But bring your patient pants. The staff do amazing but they can only go so fast so let them do their jobs - They are taking care of you and your vehicle in the end.

The staff were amazing, the location is great. But when looking at the duvet cover it appeared clean on the front and back, but when it was lifted up you could see mold on the inside.

Unfortunately it wasn’t noticed until the morning of the day we were checking out.

The valet parking situation was a disaster. It took 45 minutes to get into the lot to park and we were almost late for the Pens game. Then trying to get our car the following morning was an absolute joke. There was a line up of about 40 people all trying to get their vehicles. The men working there had no clue what they were doing. I will never stay here again!

The hotel itself was wonderful, and the room was spacious and clean.

A couple downsides though. While the hotel allowed digital check-in on the Hilton app, it still required me to come to the front desk and wait. I also picked my room, but then it was unavailable when I got to the front desk. Mobile check-in was a moot point then.

I believe the valet parking was a separate company, but just be aware that when you pay for your time, you don't get money back for unused time. I ended up needing to leave a day early, and the company would not refund me for the extra day I paid for.

I would not stay at this location again. 2 stars because the front desk staff were lovely and the room was very clean. There was construction work happening right above my room. It sounded like someone was going to come through the ceiling. I contacted the front desk and was told it would be addressed. I left for the evening and when I came back it had stopped. However the hammering started up again at 8 the next morning. Also there was no garbage can in the bathroom, and the fire alarm above the bed had a bright white light that flashed all night. But the parking alone is reason to not stay here. I waited in a line of traffic for 30 min to get in. I didn't want valet but was told there was no self parking. The valet left my car unlocked and I had to lock it remotely with my Toyota app. The next day I had to wait in line for 40 minutes to request my car since everyone is trying to leave at checkout time. They brought the person ahead of me the wrong car. When they did bring mine around, the valet cam into the lobby, handed me the keys without a word and walked away, so I had to go find it myself. They had parked another car in front of mine and I was blocked in, so I had to go back in and ask for it to be moved. Don't bother with the valet's app, they're not using it and if you request your car digitally it will be ignored. 2 hrs after I'd left I got a notification that my car was ready. There's so many better hotel options downtown and in walking distance to the arena.

Unfriendly staff at check-in, although much better the rest of the trip. The bathroom was a little dirty (hairs on floor). There were crumbs in the desk chair as if no one had even done a solid job cleaning. One of our rooms was a suite with a sofa bed. They told us they had no more sheets or bedding for the sofa bed. It is ridiculous that there is not sufficient bedding at a hotel, and they were rude about it. Overall it was okay, especially as we were out of the hotel most of the day, but I would not come back.

Recently stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton for a short trip, and overall, it was a solid experience that met most of my expectations for a reliable chain hotel. The room itself was spacious and well-appointed, with comfortable bedding and modern amenities like a flat-screen TV, coffee maker, and decent Wi-Fi. I appreciated the signature warm cookie upon arrival; it’s a nice touch that always brightens the start of a stay. The on-site restaurant offered good breakfast options, and the fitness center was adequately equipped for a quick workout.
That said, cleanliness was a bit hit-or-miss. While the common areas were spotless, my room could have used a more thorough deep clean—there were some dust buildup in corners and minor stains on the carpet that detracted from the otherwise cozy vibe. I mentioned it to housekeeping, and they addressed it promptly, but it’s something the hotel could improve on for future guests.

Rooms are pretty rough. Had to have a butt print cleaned off the window. The staff was responsive, but it took them two trips, the second with me supervising, to get the window clean. Downtown Pittsburgh is awful, but this place is trying to be better. The restaurant is pretty good so you don't need to be out after dark. Buy the breakfast coupons, it saves you a pile of money.

We reserved our room in July. When we arrived to check in there was no parking available. We were referred to another lot nearby. When we left the next morning there were cars lined up waiting to pay their parking bill. It took over 30 minutes to get out since payment was only accepted by using the phone app which was slow and very cumbersome. Also, when we returned to the hotel after a concert that evening, two of the elevators in the lobby were not working resulting in long lines before you could back to your room. All in all very disappointing.
