Older building that could use a refresh. Carpet in hallways and room was disgusting and loose. Major trip hazard. “Upgraded” to a jr suite and it was a waste of money. Saggy pull out couch and a few extra square feet weren’t worth the $100+ a night. Bathroom was tiny, water pressure was minimal. WiFi was slow, hard to work. Huge TV, but half the stations wouldn’t stay tuned in. Had to go to bar to watch games.

We didn't stay for breakfast. We checked out before 8 am. Rooms had black mold and were dirty. Switched rooms same problem. Talked with Frank and the front desk who said he "wasn't surprised" by the conditions of the rooms.
Valet is a joke. He was sleeping and and the nerve to tell me he didn't have to valet my vehicle. For the service I received and $44, I agreed and found free parking around the corner. Crazy to talk to someone like that when you work for tips.
Upon checkout, Michelle was the only reasonable person.

Clean room, nice pool area and hot tub and the view. The shower was hot with a good pressure. So my husband likes IPA beers. The event we attebded at the hotel did not have any so since we were staying we called to see what time the bar closed. The front desk staff said 1 am. We went down to the bar. He got his believed IPA beers. However, staff kicked guests out at midnight. That was disappointing. Other than that, we have no complaints.

Great location with convenient coffee shop downstairs, rooms are perfect sizes and beautiful views of the city. Ample elevators available as I went for the Pittsburgh marathon and although busy, I never had to wait.

Room was run down/old. Shower head was coming out of the wall and couldnt get the water hot. The phone in the room was making a loud buzzing noise so I just disconnected the cord. Rest of venue and area was super.l, staff was friendly. Room was clean. Easy access.to a late.checkout that was needed.

Was easy to get to from interstate. Easy walk to PNC. Hotel was fine. But needs some upkeep. Peeling wallpaper, interior of bathroom door hadn’t been cleaned in sometime - it’s a wood and glass door. Lots of dust and ‘spots’ (toothpaste/lotion?). Employees were polite. Valet attendant was very helpful. We accidentally left our car key and we called when we realized. Turned around but could only get within a block of hotel (marathon was being ran). Attendant brought us our key.

The restaurant is awful - you’ll want to believe the reviews online.

When we got there at 11pm, the hall on our floor was lined with multiple piles of laundry - and my mother who checked in to a different room on the same floor at 4 pm said they’d been there at least since then.
There were open bags of garbage lining the hall as well like you’d expect in a back alley somewhere.
You can smell how old the carpet is.
The whole floor has a noticeable mold smell.
The mattresses squeak like they’re 15 years old.
You would do well to take some pride in your hotel and keep it much cleaner - and a remodel should definitely be in the works.
I’ve never found a Wyndham property that wasn’t disappointing, but took a chance on this one and was let down again.
It will absolutely be the last time I ever give Wyndham a chance

Room was fine, but the doors block no sound, so you won’t hear your neighbors, but you will hear everyone walking down the hallway or doors closing.

Hoped to eat in on a Saturday night, but the “restaurant/bar” was a little nook that was very loud and completely off-putting.

Dirtiest nice hotel. We stayed 4 nights. First we arrived and valet was $125 a night when we booked based on the $42 price on the website. Then they had valet at a separate parking garage and gave us the incorrect address to locate it. 40 minutes later we arrive at the separate garage and the attendants are swearing loudly at each other requesting a luggage cart for us. Check in people were kind and upgraded our room but moved us from the requested river view without telling us. We were excited about the room, but it was disappointing because of how unkempt it was. Stains on ceiling and bathroom. Ceiling by window covered in cobwebs and peeling paint. Stains in the mattress and no mattress cover. We found clothing from the last people who stayed. Outlets were loose and sparked when attempted to use. Very disappointing in terms of cleanliness.

We chose the Wyndham Grand Downtown stay this year because of our experience last year. Even though it started out a little disappointing I have to say the Director of front office was amazing Marika Jackson. She address all issues professionally, efficiently, and with love. When I thought it would be one of those I will never come back to this hotel again, she made it change. Thank you for making my stay memorable.

The room was clean, but when I arrived the front desk staff came across as a bit rude, almost like I was an inconvenience. I’m relieved I won’t have to deal with that again. On the bright side, the team at the little coffee kiosk was great both times I stopped by, really friendly and helpful.

We paid top dollar for a night here, but the room was falling apart. The wallpaper was peeling at every seam and even missing in some spots.
The service was the real deal-breaker. A staff member harassed my 22-year-old son at the bar for his ID—after he had already been served one beer—and then rudely claimed the ID "looked fake" despite it being perfectly valid. I had a verbal altercation with this staff member over his unprofessional attitude.
I left my number with the night manager, who promised to look into it and get back to me. It’s been a week of silence. Avoid this place until they learn how to maintain their rooms and treat their guests with respect.

The valet attendants were fighting so I had to go park my car at a public parking garage nearby.

I walked into my room and it smelled like mildew. I told the staff and they didn’t do anything about it.

Everything is old and outdated and the bed wasn’t comfortable. For $230 I expected a much better experience.

I asked for a refund so I could go to a different hotel and didn’t get one, so I stayed there and woke up sick and have been sick ever since O stayed the night there.

Hotel location and the view is very nice. Rooms are big. But needs a upgrade badly. Pullout couch and curtains have years of dirt and dust on them. Pullout couch was not comfortable but also had bread crumbs from the guest before.
Our room didn't have a coffee machine and we reported right away but no one showed up. Next day we had to ask again for it.
Also after second day we ask if we can get someone for the garbage, more shampoo and coffee pots. They say we only stay 3 days so they don't do this service. Never heard such a thing before. We had to insist for someone to come and empty the garbage cans at least. Unfortunately service was really bad. Not sure if it's because they are understaff. We had stayed there sometime ago and it wasn't like that.

Large dated hotel, smaller rooms and not great sound proofing. Super friendly staff, great location to access local amenities. Only valet parking was available for a hefty fee. Clean surroundings and felt incredibly safe and inviting to explore around town at any hour.

We did not have a horrible experience just little things that were not up to our expectations but overall it was nice and we would go back! It was a tad pricey. Our tv only had 4 channels , the bath tub was a tad scratched up , the hallway walls seemed to have some slight water damage. Nothing here was horrible.

Some up and downs. Greated very warmly. Then led a stray on parking. Front desk said I could park for free around the building instead of paying $44 a night for valet. Drove around all the parking was full for the Pirates game of which parking was $30. Came back and used valet of which the attendant was awesome. Forgot his name but he plays football at Duquesne University. Walls are thin each night you could hear the room next to ours. Second night there was a party going on. Security did not on the door and told them to turn off the music. They did abide to his request. I felt the mattress was way too soft and lumpy. The attendants that ran the coffee bar were awesome. Very personable. The view and location were amazing . Tighten the parking communication, upgrade the bed and some how monitor noise coming from the rooms, the stay would have been a 10.

This hotel was perfectly located for our stay. We were able to walk everywhere and we really enjoyed the park across the street. Each staff member we interacted with was welcoming and kind. The coffee shop and restaurant were great and the employees there were fantastic. There was a stagnant air odor in the room when we first checked in but the room was super clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our room had a great view of the river which was a nice touch! Would definitely stay again!

We didn’t had cleaning lady coming to our room, but we were there for just 3 nights so didn’t bother us much.

Overall hotel cleanliness was good.
