This is a welcoming hotel staffed by friendly and obliging people. Our room was rather narrow but the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom clean. Breakfast was tasty and there was a good selection of cereals, pastries, etc. at the buffet. The basement bar is excellent and serves good food. The public areas are very attractive with many Georgian features and pictures.
The only criticism I would make is that it was rather too warm for me. We kept our window open for the duration of our stay but we found the rest of the hotel very warm!
It takes a good 20 minutes or so to walk into the centre but there is a bus stop about 200 yards along the road, which will take you to Dawson Street. The Lansdowne station on the DART light railway is also nearby.

This hotel is an excellent location. Rooms have all the basics and the staff were super friendly. Best part was the temporary bar and BBQ provided before the rugby game. Great location for access to Avivo stadium and also only 20 minute walk to Grafton St. A real gem.

A very welcoming & charming hotel. Was perfectly located for an event I had at the RDS arena. We also booked on a weekend where Ireland faced off against Australia. The hotels atmosphere was brilliant and the pub “The Den” was lovely.

Room was clean and bed was comfy. Breakfast was a little expensive as we paid €25 for two bowls of cereal, a coffee, Green tea and small glass of orange juice.

Staff always courteous. One annoyance was - I booked my stay through Expedia and was given a room only rate, whereas my two colleagues booked directly with hotel and had their full breakfast included in their rate, which was almost identical to what i was charged ?? A further 31 Euro which i assume could have been avoided. Frustrating !!!

No elevator, no one helped carry multiple bags up and down multiple flights, water in bathroom only trickled out of faucet. After complaining that I’d like a partial refund and asking management to follow up with me, never heard from them. Front desk staff was nice, Cute pub in the basement of the hotel.

Checked in and told no parking. 2nd floor room with No Lift . Room was baking hot with No AirCon. Outdated furniture and lighting. No fire escapes. Dangerous wiring on portable ironing board. Extremely small room. No bedside locker on right side bed. Filthy dirty bathroom. Noisy banging doors.

Just very old room and hotel, needs reno done looks neglected. Noise levels were so bad I had to call customer service with hotels.com to complain. Reception simply doesn't care and the one who \"helped\" me get a quiet room was simply drunk.

The hotel was good, clean, and almost everyone in the staff was nice. Breakfast was not inclueded and didn't check on it. It is located in a residential neighbourhood, very wuiet, some restaurantes and shops are nearby, but attraction a bit far. If you like to walk it is a nice walk.

There were only 2 issues.
1. When we arrived there was a blonde woman at the reception. She attended us until she finished chatting with her coworker. After that NASTINESS. She was upset that we arrived with no reason. Fortunately we never saw here again in the remianing days, hoping she got fired.
2. The doors at the hotel are creaking all times. Please put oil in the hinges and problem solved. I didn't book a creepy hotel

We had a very good experience at the Lansdowne Hotel. There was a small mix-up with the check-in time, but the staff handled it professionally and found a great solution, which we really appreciated. The location was convenient—about a 15-minute walk to St. Stephen’s Green and close to a bus stop for easy access to the city center. Comfortable and well-run overall.

The staff were almost all great. The ones that weren't great were still quite good.

The pub downstairs is very large, and it's convenient. The combinations of price, location, and the property made it great. It's not a movement building, but it has charm.

Posts of the room were a bit odd, like the hairdryer not bring in the bathroom and having to duck it you want to look in the mirror while you dry your hair, but that's just amusing.

It's definitely on my dirt list of places to stay if i return. I lived having a lot of restaurant choices within about 5 minutes waking distance.

Great for (American) Football at Aviva Stadium

We stayed two nights here for an American college football game in Aviva Stadium. The location was great - an easy walk to the stadium and a pleasant walk to the Dublin City center. There was plenty of easy, close street parking (free for the weekend). Had to drag bags up a few stairs, no biggie. Room was smallish but sufficient and comfortable. The tailgate party the hotel hosted before and after the game was a great idea and a lot of fun.

I just stayed there for the night. The room was very clean and comfy. It was a nice summer day and the room was very warm. Esp in the night, couldn't sleep without window open. Also, pls keep water bottles in the the room. The room rent is around €100 and water is basic necessity.

This Hotel is old by fine. However in the older part of the establishment the accommodation is quite poor. For example a bathroom with a toilet that doesn’t quite flush and zero ventilation is not good enough. Broken tiles and dirty towel rail. However the beds are clean very comfortable and the staff are great. Breakfast is excellent

The hotel room was the worst I have ever stayed in! It’s clean but the furniture is cheap and possibly not changed since the 1980s. The lighting is even worse! My room was on top floor and when it rained, you heard every single drop hitting the roof. There is no thermostat and you have to set the heating at the radiator which means if you turn it low for the night you wake up to a freezing cold room. The bathroom was just awful. There is possibly no insulation in the partition wall and you can hear person next door moving, speaking on their phone, etc - I would not recommend staying there.

The Landsdowne Hotel Stay

Great stay on two different visits during our week stay. The staff is friendly and gave us great service. The breakfast was continental style or you can order from a short menu. The bar areas were very cozy and Irish, We did the dinner Irish House Party show on a Thursday night, the food was good and the show fantastic. We were a thirty minute walking distance to the museums, Trinity College and Temple Bar area as we were out that way for sight seeing. We took a taxi back to the hotel in the evening.

The twin beds were very uncomfortable and difficult to sleep.
There was no air conditioning and no fans. The room was extremely warm at night.
I would still stay there again, but some improvements would be nice.

Lansdowne was comfortable and clean. We stayed 4 nights in 2 rooms. Rooms small but adequate. Showers only and small but great water pressure. Bar and restaurant on site. Very nice. Great value. There are no elevators. 15 minute walk to Aviva Stadium. Close to many bars and restaurants Best Irish restaurant and bar with authentic music is Darkey's Kelly and a taxi cab ride away.

Since our arrival was at 5:30am, I booked an additional night for the night before in order to have a room and bed to sleep in upon arrival. Checkin when smoothly and we were able to stay in the same room for the duration of our stay. Located about two miles outside of city centre, gave us the opportunity to walk and explore surrounding areas as well as city centre. The tree lined streets around the hotel are pleasant and several restaurants, stores and services are located down the street. Overall, the staff was very courteous and helpful.

I stayed for 3 nights, a nice hotel and in a good location. The only down side is that the street parking is very expensive and limited to 3 hours, trying to get a space in the hotel car park isn’t easy either, so if planning to drive and leave your car for more than 3 hours in the surrounding areas might be problematic. But the hotel and the bar below does good food and drinks.

The furniture was fine, it was a bit old. The bathroom sink was much lower than a regular person height. The soundproofing was bad, like you can hear when a door opens/closes very sharply and also steps of people who passes by your room. Internet connection was usually good enough, only there were a few nights I has to spend disconnected. I'm happy about housekeeping, heating and warm water in the shower.

Everything is clean and nicely kept, but the beds aren't very comfortable. The room was spacious, but I could hear the people upstairs walking around anytime they were in their room.

The location is more residential, so be aware that if you are planning to go to some of the museums and other attractions in Dublin, you'll have a 20ish min walk (which if you go through St. Stephen's Green is beautiful!) or need to call a cab (which the front desk will do).
