I checked in and out with in 10 mins the first impressions of the hotel are it’s run down and looks derelict with smashed windows, into the lobby dark, dated and dirty with a hall in the wall. As you go through the property the carpet is stained and the walls are dirty, in the room I was allocated, bathroom was dirty with rusty dirt toilet brush, dirty desk area, broken fan and paint peeling off, net curtains dirty with holes. I wouldn’t even give this 1 star

Filthy room more vomit/urine stains on the carpet than most student houses. Was asked twice for £25 deposit - first by email, second on arrival. Honestly there was not £25 worth of damage I could have done that wasn't done already. Only good thing was no bed bugs. You'd need to be desperate to stay here. Avoid at all costs.

The room was shocking. Room 107 is both Dirty and shabby. I would have moved out had it been for more than 1 night. No towels, no cup, mould on the walls, taps so wonky they splashed my clothes and wet the floor, The chest of drawers had no bottom, so the clothes fell straight through, the bedside table was chipped and stained, the pillow was yellowed with sweat stains. The window sill, curtains and windows were a disgrace, the carpet was stained - thank goodness I brought slippers to wear. A disgusting experience.

Just don’t stay!!

Has 4 rooms for 10 nights each. Rooms beyond disgusting no apologies. There was even a pigeon in one one night!! Towels filthy beds not made. Emailed rang left messages no response our workers ended up going buying cleaning materials etc and cleaning rooms themselves. I probably have in excess of 10 contractors in hotels each week believe me they don’t complain this was absolutely terrible

The location was excellent, short walk from the coast and easy to get to from the town centre.
Room was tidy and comfortable bed, however none of the plugs worked, and no remote for the TV.
Made the property aware we were checking in late, however the receptionist seemed frustrated at this on the phone, quoting ‘ahh come on man’. Didn’t make us feel overly hospitable

the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Blood everywhere, useless management, didn’t even apologise just touched the blood and said it was fine to sleep on because it had dried. No one at reception over night. Front door left unlocked all night. £50 cash taken on arrival without being told when booking.

The pictures of the property on the website do not match. We booked the property based on the pictures but when we arrived it was completely different not as per our expectations the carpet was dirty and toilets not well maintained. The cupboard was broken .
The only thing good was it was very close to beach and the town was walking distance from the property. The receptionist was very friendly and gave us information about places to visit .

Absolutely disgusting and run down hotel. Room we were given nothing like the pictures online, room was a standard room but it was unclean, dated, unsafe and not to a standard. Half boarded up window, mould in the bathroom, broken electrical socket hanging of the wall, bed looked disgusting and bedsheet not fitted properly. This building isn't safety compliant. We left after looking at the room guy on reception didn't care at all. Will be expecting a full refund

I have a service Dog as I’m blind registered, I also put all the details in when I made the booking via hotel.com, I’d use the filters too, won’t be using hotel.com again and certainly would never recommend to stay at peas and pebbles in Eastbourne, all they wanted was my online check-in and card info??? When I’d already paid the bill and they don’t offer any room service??? So I rang the hotel directly I explained who I was and that I had a service Dog, all that was said to me on the phone in very poor English was, no pets allowed no pets allowed no pets allowed, do not come here as no pets allowed? I attempted many times to explain my dog is not a pet it is a working dog because I am blind and I was just met with the same response no pets allowed no pets allowed,???

We got to the hotel at 10.20, and no receptionist, because theyve closed. We waited for almoat an hour only to be told we have to additional £10 for a late check in (at 10pm). Most ridiculous things ever.

Bargain for an overnight stay

Perfect for a stop over before catching the ferry in Newhaven. With Hotels.com we only paid £26.19 for a double room. Bargain! Round the corner from a great bar, the Bohemian with an excellent DJ set and good vibes. Would stay again, very convenient location and near the sea front. Ample street parking and free after 6pm, can always get a permit from the hotel. Quick easy check on. Room was small but didn’t expect luxury, hot shower but not a ‘power’ shower. Pleasant staff at check in.

Terrible environment, not worth it!

The place was not tidy, smells awful right from the entrance. Then there was so much fuss about identification and deposit policy which was not worth it looking at the state of the place.

It was late and I was so tired so I thought I would manage it since it was just one night, only for me to be kept awake all night by this terrible noise from upstairs.

I literally kept awake all night, I almost developed headache.

I am going to apply for a refund, it was not worth it.

Firstly, I used your website to book a hotel with parking, this hotel has no parking, just go and find yourself a space on the street (If you can). They think they are running a hotel in India. Young lad was very helpful but the place is a dump. Room was better than the hotel in appearance, ignoring the used cotton bud on the floor, the crumbs on the tea tray, the lack of a teaspoon...I wouldn't book this place if I knew the facts.

I didn’t like anything about this place it’s filthy and messy my room was disgusting it had pigeon poop inside the room where the window had been left open it hadn’t been cleaned and the shower was covered in brown grime and the toilet was even worse.

My door lock didn’t work either so I felt unsafe and vulnerable in the room.

Horrendous experience from start to finish.
I was told there were no other rooms available so offered a refund ( haven’t had that ) dreadful place I will never return.
Absolute waste of money I couldn’t shower it was too dirty didn’t use the kettle that was nasty too so i left at 7.30am as I was desperate to get out of the place.

Paid £125 for the night, bed sheets appalling and lots of stains, room stunk with lots of flys until I demanded that they change the sheets and clean the room properly them when it came to have a shower there was no water! reported it to staff they had a look and said they would be back to fix it in five minutes and never returned.

The pictures are obviously of 1 room that hasn't been used by the latest bunch of guests, the hotel has been trashed by recent guests and if you speak to the locals its been used as a migrant drop in hotel, we had 3 rooms booked and they were the worst my lads have stayed in, to the point they refused to stay beyond the 1st night of 4 nights booked, dirty rooms/toilets/carpets/communal areas. smashed windows all over. see pictures..... and avoid until refurbished

The overall feel of the hotel didn’t meet my expectations given the name. Broken glass door and no security present at main entrance. Only one person (quite lovely and accommodating) managing reception.

My door to the room didn’t lock from the inside which for safety I didn’t appreciate. Unfortunately the only aspect I liked was the shower pressure. Bathroom was clean but I didn’t like paying £25 upfront in case I do anything to the room. It is a bit of a scam to be honest. You pay £25 at the desk and if you refuse they will not let you stay there. I got my £25 back but I can imagine this isn’t the case for each individual. Paint work is quite shoddy and didn’t look very inviting. One of the three towels provided had a stain on it which I also didn’t appreciate.

The room itself had dirty walls, the chair provided had dirt on it and the table still had some crumbs from the previous person staying over. As I was tired from work it was okay. Bed was comfy though.

I wouldn’t choose to stay here again. Would do so if there wasn’t anything else available elsewhere.

The staff are absolutely great here and are really happy to ensure your stay is as comfortable as can be. My room had everything I needed, including a smart TV. The WiFi and everything else worked as it should, and I'll be very happy to return to this quiet hotel at the western end of the beach, where you can take a comfortable beachside walk all the way down to the tea chalet at the foot of the cliffs

Good for a solo traveller.

Apart from the mattress sounding like you were stepping on an elephant, the room was clean, modern and comfortable to stay in. You get a small body wash and shower gel product in the bathroom, but no hand soap, so bring your own. Bathroom was clean too.

The rooms was clean and functional. Everything worked and there were no issues with the bathroom. The only thing that let it down was the stained pillows. Staff were friendly as were the other guests. The Hotel is in a good location for the shopping centre, theatre and pubs. Beach is just 2 minutes walk and there are eating establishments close by, literally around the corner.

The pictures of the hotel and rooms are very deceiving. The hotel needs a lot of TLC. My room, advertised as \"deluxe double\", was extremely basic. I'm not sure what could constitute the use of the word deluxe. The bathroom was very clean/maybe recently refurbished. The air con system was broken but a stand up fan was provided. The tray for the tea making supplies was broken, such a simple change would make all the difference. The kettle was covered in a thick layer of dust and there was a cigarette burn in my duvet cover. The bed was comfortable however and I slept well until I was awoken by the very loud seagulls - which I know can't be helped!

I used the online check in. Customer service on arrival was lacking. I was just handed a key and told my room number. I was not given any other information such as wifi (which didn't work), how to get to my room or the fact that breakfast was not being served. I found all this out from friends who were also staying at the hotel.

CHECK PARKING INFORMATION - we were told that the £2.20 (very reasonable) parking permit would be valid until Monday morning from Saturday lunchtime. We the got a parking fine. When we went back to the hotel to enquire we were told they could not help and we would need to speak to the manager but the staff member wouldn't tell us the manager's name. Still need to resolve this issue!

Dropped a milk in corner of room picked it up and some dirt and fluff was attached to it . But apart from that it was very clean . Very modern . Was described as delux double but not sure why as only difference seems to be a fan . Was a smaller space than imagined . The lift broke down for last two days . It was stuck on -1.lady was very friendly and service 100 per cent . The shower was a bit feeble .

What they advertised isn't what you will see when you get there. I was very disappointed.The interior of the building isn't in a good shape. Found hair on the bed, doubt they had changed bed linen. Broken trays. Dirty carpets.Shaking windows,just to mention a few. However I would like to comment that the bathrooms were neat and tidy.

Room was lovely,clean and fresh,only down side was bedside lamp dodnt work at all and the curtain rail hanging off one side so couldnt pull the lovely black out curtains across and had daylight from early hours.
Some work going on outside so noisy late at nigjt and then drillinh started around 8.30 which was a shame as the noisy seagulls had just gone .
All in all its a lovely hotel, close to seafront and i would come again when the roadworks are finished

This hotel has been renovated and the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Lova on the front desk was very helpful and pleasant. The dining room wasn’t open as that part of the hotel is still being renovated but will be ready soon. The rates were very favorable and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

I booked this hotel because it offered WIFI on the rooms and I need it I. The evening as part of my job. I arrived at the hotel to find that whilst a WIFI signal was available, it was impossible to connect. I queried this with reception and it was dismissed with the receptionist telling me that she had WIFI in the reception area.

At the end of the evening as I was preparing for bed, I found that towels had not been supplied and again I had to contact reception to have some delivered to me and I also found that there was no toilet paper, which meant another trip to reception to get some.

The towels that I was given were filthy and did not use them which mean in the morning I had to go to work and use the showers at work.

The website also states that the hotel has a lounge area which was non existent as it is being used as a storage area for building materials.

Overall, the business is being sold under misrepresentation and are conning clients out of money. I will never use this hotel again and I will not

I stayed for three nights to go sightseeing and hiking. The hotel is close to the beach and various restaurants, the train and bus stations are in way distance which is ideal. The staff were very friendly and helpful and allowed me to store my suitcase for a few hours after checkout. I would happily stay there again during my next visit.
