We had an oceanfront room on the third floor of the south tower. The room and view were Lovely and the staff was very helpful (even though my room wasn’t ready and it was past the 4pm check-in time). After going to sleep, I was awoken in the middle of the night by a very loud sound I can only describe as a wind tunnel…I was awake most of the night because of it. In the morning I asked if anyone had complained and was told maintenance would check. It wasn’t a motor cycling or any other equipment and could be heard outside the room and down the hall. Less than 45 minutes later, I’m told the folks in the adjoining room left their balcony door open and they would be asked to close it. Seriously!? I got an oceanfront room to hear the ocean and would have had mine open a bit but it made the sound worse. I next asked to cancel the second night and was told it couldn’t be done. They did move me to the second floor oceanfrontt and upon opening the balcony door, the sound was back… not as bad as the top floor but still audible. Never again at this hotel, and I am surprised at Mariott. To top it off, my parting gift was parking fees for the two nights for a total of $40. This was after I asked about a second vehicle and they told me street parking was free since it was off season. Unbelievable. This was most definitely in my top 3 worst hotel stays ever.

We chose this hotel at random. We could not have been more pleased with our choice! The room was spacious and clean. The resort smelled really fresh the whole time. We went during March so the weather was not warm yet but booked because I found a great deal and wanted to check out this hotel. Overall the grounds are nice. The bedroom was smaller than expected. Location is great with being right on the beach. Breakfast was typical since it was free. The pool was somewhat heated but not really but overall my kids were able to enjoy.

We had a wonderful stay from start to finish. We were greeted warmly at reception, and checked into an incredibly spacious room with balcony. The hotel is centrally located and it was easy to pop out to walk to the beach or shops, and also to hop in the car and explore further. We enjoyed the spacious indoor/outdoor pool while the roof was partially retracted. We also had the breakfast buffet the next morning, which had more than enough options for both kids and adults. We would definitely stay here again, and regretted making this a shorter trip!

The property is in a very convenient location in downtown Bethany and right on the beach; however, I was a little disappointed with the hotel itself. The pool was claimed to be heated but it was not. The cleaning service was poor and honestly, the \"amenities\" that were offered at the hotel, were not what was advertised on the site when booking. Overall, nice place to stay for convenience, but not the ideal place as far as cleanliness and hotel amenities go

I stayed last year and had a good experience. This year was a grave experience and not up to Marriott standards. The woman at the front was rude and displayed no eye contact. Additionally, she attempted to place another party in front of me. Her comments were dismissive and lacked cordiality. Lastly, floors, doors, bathroom and common areas were absolutely filthy!!! I plan to spend my resources elsewhere next year.

Our stay at Bethany Beach suites was not what I had expected. The hotel room was very dated and underwhelming. The floors in the room were not conducive to a beach hotel. The sand from the beach got all over the floors and housecleaning only came every other day. The beds were also outdated and are not comfortable. For the rate that we paid, I would never recommend this hotel.

Quiet, convenient location right on the beach with friendly, helpful staff. Unfortunately the facilities are lacking. The tub and shower curtain were dirty and stained, there were ants crawling on the floor, and the toilet didn’t work. The washing machines and dryers are coin operated but there is no coin changer and the front desk didn’t have any extra quarters, so if you don’t have a few rolls of quarters you are out of luck. The couch had so many stains we covered it with a sheet before sitting on it.

Adult family of 4 stayed in a suite with 2 Queen and one pull out couch. We had plenty of room, the kitchenette had a medium size refrigerator with an ice maker, microwave, dishwasher and stove top. The balcony had 2 chairs and a small side table. We had a side view of the ocean. Breakfast was good and filling with plenty of options. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel twice and it was very good. Having the beach entrance right in front of the hotel was so nice. The beach and the whole area are clean and well kept. Plenty of lifeguards and police patrol. We parked in the lot and never had to use the car again until we left. The sweet little town has many shops, restaurants, a book store, and lots of ice cream and other street food. The hotel staff were very friendly and quick to respond when we needed something. We had a blast and can’t wait to go back!

However the areas to get the elevator on the north building had such a strong overpowering cleaning fragrance just walking through there you came out smelling like it and we even held our nose in the elevator it was giving us headaches. Stay was 12/28 to 1/1. Room looked clean at first glance. Had an ocean view. Emo at the belldesk was wonderful. But we had a lot of issues. The floors in room were filthy- covered in dirt & sand- made it impossible to get in bed without tracking it on the sheets. Had to wipe our feet vigorously each time we walked. Told the beds were queen but are def full. The kitchen is stocked with plates that had some sort of slime on them! Didn't investigate further, just got paper plates at a store. The pool (the main reason we chose this place) was cold & the heater was broken. Called about this before we arrived, & got a different answer from every person who answered at the front desk- ranging from \"It won't be fixed for a while\" to \"The part should be in on Mon\" to \"The water will heat up quick\" to \"The water will heat up in 3 days.\" Bar and restaurant closed seasonally- these were promised when we booked in July. Desk said NYE event was cancelled- found out the next day that it occurred while we sat in our room doing nothing. On top of ALL of this, on 12/26 we were told that our room would be assigned upon arrival. 12/27 we were told our room was in the North tower 3rd flr. The site stated that check in was at 4. 12/28 arrived at 345 to be told that our room \"had been given to someone who arrived earlier\", then waited until 445 to get a different room in the South tower, which meant walking across the street to get to the lobby, desk, breakfast & pool. We will never come back

As a whole you can’t beat location. It was nice to park and not have to leave. But if you do leave, watch out because parking is a mess. You pay $40 a day (not included in the room cost) and apparently this doesn’t guarantee parking. The hotel over sells parking and you aren’t guaranteed a spot. For two days we had to pay to park on the street.
Check in was a mess. The manager couldn’t wait to leave right on the hour. There were 4 parties waiting at the front desk and that woman ran out of there because her shift was over.
The people at the desk were fine, but when there were two customers left, one of which was us, the staff walked away. I had to chase down the young guy and ask him for keys. He then returned back to the desk. It was very weird, like you have customers, where are you going!?

The staff especially the attendants in the parking garage were so friendly. Frustrated with check in as we waited until almost 6:00 pm to get to our room. There were seven other families in the lobby waiting as well. We never had any service in our room during our stay. I requested towels twice and was offered hand towels as there were no other towels available. The second time I requested towels they never responded or brought towels.
