This was my third stay and I absolutely have nothing bad to say. Staff was amazing, room was very clean, amenities were wonderful. The parrots in the atrium add to the ambiance. Will most definitely stay again.

The view was beautiful, the room clean, the staff pleasant and the kitchen well stocked with pots and pans. Overall, it was fine. Why only ok? The stove took forever to heat to high and took over a half hour to get a pot of water to boiling. Also - I felt badly for the Parrots. They were clearly well cared for and looking healthy with clean cages. However they seemed stressed in their little cages in the evenings especially, with one screaming quite loudly before being covered for the night. I'm not sure it's the best environment for them with so many strangers including loud children coming through.

I booked an ocean front room and the view did not disappoint. The check in and staff were amazing throughout my 3 night stay. The beds were clean and comfortable, the wifi worked well and the in room coffee and small kitchen were nice. The hotel room ceiling and bath fixtures are in need of updates. The atrium area makes for a noisy experience with children playing in the pool. Ask for a room that does not have an adjoining door if you don't want to hear your neighbors. Overall I enjoyed my stay. I did not have a chance to visit the what looked welcoming bar.

I had a fantastic 5 days at your Hotel this past week. I stayed here about 40 years ago and it was still as charming this week as it was in the past. I loved having a room that went straight to the beach. The service was impeccable, food and drinks at the cafe were great and at a good cost and the room was large and cozy. I hope to be back in the summer.

The rooms were very clean, minus a few stains that looked very hard to get out. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The view from even a second floor room is very beautiful. Clear sight to the beach and the water. The atrium is really nice and the birds, fish and turtles hanging out around the pond are awesome. The atrium Cafe is small but very good. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious, the portions for price was fair. The frozen drinks they have are delicious as well. The pool and hot tub in the atrium are also well maintained and very fun. The pool is a nice size and the hot tubs while the jets weren't too crazy it was very relaxing. Overall a very nice place to stay.

We did not have a beach view, although I thought we would. The bathroom had mold, and the comforter on the bed had stains. After the first nights stay they did not clean our room the next day. They did the following day and took the tip we left but did not change the dirty comforter. The staff was not rude but not to friendly. There was no complimentary breakfast at this Inn.

To sum up this hotel, staff, beach, amenities etc. All I can say is \"THIS IS MY NEW HOTEL HOME FOR VACATION \". My grandson loved everything from the Atrium to the bar & cafe to the pool and the pond and parrots and turtles. This place is every families dream. Your kids can be entertained while you relax at the bar watch a little sports. I wi be back again.

The pool was very clean as well as the hot tub. Room was hot can not control temperature in room temp does not work. Chain locks do not work. Young toddlers can just walk right out of room not high lock on door.
Rooms are not black out, lit up from windows with no curtains and gaps around door.

I loved my stay. The rooms were clean, and the place was lovely. I enjoyed spending time with the birds and at the pool. Most amenities were nice; my only complaint was the AC in my room, which was hot the entire time. Other than that, it was perfect. Easy access to the beach.

Great hotel if you have kids. The kids had a blast at the indoor pool. It’s also nice that there’s a bar/restaurant on site. We had a nice breakfast. The rooms have everything you could need but are dated with obvious signs of patches and paint over time.

Very unique layout with atrium in the middle. Exotic birds and fish in a small pond, cafe on one side and pool on the other. Very much a family place. Beach front rooms were well equipped and free coffee in the lobby. Great deal!

Staff was very friendly at front desk. Zero problems there. However I mentioned the shower was not working correctly and the next day after 1rst not came to our door prior to 8:30am which is way too early and pounded on our door while we were sleeping. At 1rsrt i had no idea who it was. I said go away you have the wrong door. He kept knocking and i said go away. Then he finnally said he was hotel maintenance. I told him were sleeping go away again. I stayed here a few years ago and it was nicer. The door didn’t seem to lock securely and the handle jiggled as if you could easily break in. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work and the faucet in the bathroom was really hard to access because you had to stick your hand under the counter or ledge there to turn it on and then I constantly hit my knuckles on the counter every time I try to turn the faucet on. The balcony railing was separating from the wall on the right side so I wouldn’t recommend leaning against that. Otherwise it’s a nice place to go. The parrots are fun to watch and the game room is nice and it’s a great oceanfront view. I was just disappointed with the upkeep.

I’ve been staying here at this hotel since the early 90s when I was a kid myself. It was a yearly tradition for my family and I carried on that tradition with my own child who is turning 12, and wanted to spend their birthday weekend at their favorite hotel.
Staff was great, and that’s about the only positive thing I’ll say, as the quality is missing at the quality inn.
We got so lucky as to stay here during a cheer competition and a high school reunion, it was not relaxing at all. My anxiety was at an all time high.
We stayed in room 124, which was 50 degrees when we walked in- the fans blasting on high and it was an ice box. So we turned the heat on, which never worked by the way, the whole weekend I was freezing. Come to find out the small window was actually open underneath the blinds, too, which let in the freezing night air. There were bbq sauce stains on the dresser, the hot water didn’t work in the bathroom sink, looked like blood stains on the carpet. Rooms are outdated. We had cheerleaders overtop of us- who were running and jumping and stomping all about as they practiced in their room. The high school reunion was blaring their music in the common areas. They all had food set up everywhere; hard to enjoy the atrium.
One of the hot tubs was actually a cold tub; the pool was warmer. The pool was basically a free for all for children that were unsupervised. Pool had no towels at one point.
I was not impressed at the prices paid.

The hotel is dated, however; the staff were working and cleaning the whole time we were there. They are super friendly and the place is very well kept. If you are a beach person this is the hotel to stay at. You can bring food and cook, right on the beach, or eat at the restaurant right in the hotel. No crowds and quiet area.

Cleaning the vent that is located in the large atrium would be a very good start. The fish/turtle pond was so dirty we could not see the fishes or turtle without leaning down close to the water. The curtains were dirty in the room and there was a shortage of pillows. The staff was very friendly and pleasant, and when we had difficulty with the in room safe, a maintenance person came to repair it within 10 minutes. Keep the staff, clean the building.

Where to start! Stayed at this horrible hotel from 9/13 thru 9/18. Checked into room 114 after 6hr drive. Room was rundown, figured since it was on the first floor, access to the beach, might be weathered. Did what most ppl do, unpack, head to the boardwalk. Came back to the hotel at 11pm, started getting ready for bed...then water starts pouring from the kitchenette ceiling! Immediately went to the front desk. A very incapable attendant declares that he will have to put in a work order and that we would need to move rooms...like no kidding buddy! Get moved to what they call the cottage off site...this feels all too routine for them. So we pack up quickly, in our pj's, moved across the street to the cottage (rather rundown halfway house more like it) around 1am on our very first night. Finally get to sleep at 3am. Get a call at 9am from the front desk...I hear you had some issues with your room last night (ya think!) Que the car salesman pitch...we can set you up on the 4th floor for the rest of your stay...we need to get you out of the cottage by 11am. Okay but reason I picked hotel was of the direct access of 1st floor! Paid more expensive price (even tho front desk swears there is no price difference and can't do anything because I booked thru Expedia). Fine give me the damn room, already wasted a day dealing with this! Other fun activities...a fire alarm test from 11am-12pm the 3rd day. Laundry that doesn't work. Dirty everywhere! 5am emergency evacuation day of check out

First night in our room went to bathroom in the middle of the night turned the light on saw a roach. Happened again on the second night. Beds very springy heard every move. Just needs some serious updating. Also to walk into the entrance had to walk through people smoking weed right there. Should be a place designated for that away from the building.

You get what you pay for. Overall, the stay was OK. However, the (bathroom) room was outdated. The indoor pool had a lot of hair in it. Neither of the two hot tubs worked. The Atrium restaurant inside the hotel was good. The staff was polite.

I usually don't wright a review. But this time, I feel, I have to.
Be aware of BED BUGS. The property has two sections: back side and ocean front view. We booked the back side (it was lower rates). The first night, just as we were preparing to go to bed, we discovered bed bugs. We had two queen beds, the bugs were on both beds.
After I reported to the night manager, we were giving a room in the beach front ocean view section.
I have to say the ocean front room was much nicer it seems like back side is more rundown or may be older (I am not sure).
After carefully checking the new room and not finding any signs of bugs we decided to stay, as I was seriously considering just pack and go back home.
So we stayed two nights as planned.
The other things was, when I talked with manager next day. The fact that she did not know about the incident from last night, was very disturbing. I would expect actions right away. She was talking about protocol she needs to follow, but I didn't sense the urgency.

Not as good as I thought...

I read the reviews from several places and I thought it would be dated but very clean. Well, it was very dated. Starting with the luggage cart that was very old and wobbly, small and my luggage fell off. Thankfully a staff helped me get it back together and offered to take to our room which was handicap for my mother. It was quite a long walk, up path and the smell was old musty meets an air freshener. Not very pleasant. The room had a small frig that looked like someone took a pick to it all over the freezer door and scratches below. The bathroom door had paint chipping off and scrape marks.. could of been sanded and painted....?? Bed was pretty comfortable, thank goodness! View was great from the old balcony with a chunk of the stucco missing from above the patio door...?? Cafe waitress was very friendly, food average, minimal menu. Birds were cute, very dirty cages, guess that happens but not in the best location next to the cafe..? Both people encountered at desk were not the friendliness and did not ask how our stay was...

We have stayed at this hotel three times and have always enjoyed our visits. The place has some age on it but our room was clean and comfortable. We appreciate the full size refrigerator and kitchenette. The mid-town location is really nice for getting to Ocean City amenities. We will be back.
