The gal that checked us was very sweet. That is where everything good ended...
So let me begin by saying- No I did not contact the front desk about my room, nor was I concerned about getting my money back. I just wanted to leave! I am sharing this because people need to avoid this place at all costs! The reviews are crazy! People are either appalled or absolutely in love with this place. There is one reviewer named \"Eric\" who gives it the same exact 10/10 each time he stayed in 2 weeks (there were at least 2 or 3 stays). All the 10/10's really boosted the 1/10's from people sharing photos of how bad their stay was. The owner Dirk bashed the bad reviews and people. (yet another reason I did not care to speak with the front desk). The Inn had an average of 7.2

The carpet and the desk chair were badly stained.

There were very weird stains on the ceiling.

There was a very nice white pillow case over my yellow pillow with a blood stain.

The bed whether it was a mattress pad covering the bed or the bed itself (it was a memory foam mattress and they do sometimes have zippers) looked like someone tried to tie-dye it with coffee and \"stuff\".

The bathroom sink was so pitted it was rough to the touch.

Whether it was stains or mold on the bathroom ceiling I cant say for sure but my husband's 1 allergy is mold. He started getting stuffy while there and cleared out within an hour or so of leaving. Yes, could just be a coincidence 😉

There were a few positives about this motel: the night clerk was friendly and helpful in getting a couple extra pillows, and the morning desk attendant was friendly upon check-out. The shower pressure was old-school, the air conditioner worked, the light fixture over the vanity was new, and the mini-fridge kept food cool.

Unfortunately, the negative reviews of this place are accurate. It's very dirty, the fridge leaks water all night so the carpet is soaked, there are burn holes in the bedding, the room was certainly not smoke free, the toilet kept running all night, the chain lock was missing, the deadbolt lock was vandalized, the peephole was stuffed with toilet paper, the desk chair was badly stained, the carpet and flooring were sticky, and the cups appear to have been re-used (the packaging was open on them).

Hotels.com attempted to contact the establishment both that night (after their closing hours) and the following morning (during their open hours), but did not receive a response until well after we vacated the property for another hotel at our own expense. The hotel refused even a partial refund, even though my primary complaint was the room not being smoke-free, which triggered breathing issues, but we didn't realize how bad it was until after the night clerk went home (we checked in within a half hour of close).

Before Dirk or anyone else from the motel responds to this: yes, we did contact you (via Hotels.com), and no effort was made to fix things.

The power went haywire. In out all day. When finally came on only half the room worked. No A/C microwave doesn’t work, and fridge stopped working. It’s been 2 days, and my floor is wet from fridge.

This hotel was disguting. It was dirty. There was black mold in the shower. There were boogers smeered on the wall. It looked like someone had died in the bed. The bed sunk in completely in the middle.
There were rooms with boarded up windows. Broken down cars n the lot. Just a nasty place
Besides the fact we booked 4 rooms total and they had to scan the card 4 times instead of just using simple math to get the total.
-100 stars.
The pictures about this hotel were completely false!!!
I have never wrote a bad review for a hotel stay. I get it you pay for what you get. But the reviews and pictures were total fabrications.
Do not stay here!!!

We were not pleased with the cleanliness of either room, so much so that I returned the keys and left to go to a different hotel. The room I had was the worse of the two. Mom had 102, I had 103 I believe. The bed was sagging, there was a cigarette burn hole in one of the sheets, a chair had obvious debris on it, nightstand felt sticky, threshold from sleeping area to bathroom area was… missing… spider web in corner under a shelf, oh, and a reasonably strong stale smoke smell. Room could use an ozone treatment for sure. I felt uncomfortable/unsafe enough with how things looked that I spent a good 15-20 minutes checking the room for bedbugs (couldn’t find anything, but I also didn’t finish looking. I decided to just leave, as previously stated). Lighting was very poor, would have been very hard to inspect anything without my flashlight. Shower had a small chunk of something in a corner of the tub, so I figure it hadn’t been cleaned properly. Had I stayed, I probably would have tried to sleep in the chair and not on the bed. Mom’s room had a dead bug on the bed, but we couldn’t tell what species it was. Neither of us felt that staying in the room was without risk of bringing home little critters. I’ve never had this kind of experience before, thankfully, and hope to not repeat the experience I had.

I did not take detailed notes or pictures because I simply wanted to leave. But at the same time, if I don’t say something nobody would know there’s a problem.

This has been my home away from home for the past few years. I’ve never had a problem with the staff or anything else. Everyone is always nice and friendly. My pup has always been welcome. It’s just off the beaten path, but it’s right there about a 150 yards from a Kwik Trip that has everything you need. There’s a fitness center 75 yards away and a nice restaurant and a Arby’s. So you truly have everything within 125 yards of the hotel. You don’t even have to drive. There’s plenty of rooms and off street parking. Oh yeah, there’s a truck stop across the street and truck parking right here on the property. I’ll definitely be back and I know I’ll always be welcome, me and my pup….Have a beautiful blessed day.😎🐕‍🦺❤️🙏✌️

Simple no frills, cheap, place to stay with hot water and efficient heat. Yes, it is old and there will be plenty of imperfections, but it is fine if you’re just trying to get by for a night or two. As with anything, you get what you pay for. If you just need a place to stay and you’re not picky, you’ll be fine.

I hate door reviews because when I give my input on a review, nothing happening ain’t no changes when I go back to hotels display need a whole remodeling. The floor is buckling up. The wall is buckling up is small everywhere and I need a whole new furniture, and you could tell that they have leakage on top of the roof and every time I put my input ain’t nothing happening

Let’s just say it may not for everyone, but it got the job done (somewhere to shower and sleep) at an extremely reasonable price for a holiday weekend. And they allow dogs. We had everything we needed and I would stay there again. The woman at the front desk was exceptionally kind and friendly.

This is a very old place - probably used to be a knights inn.
Rooms were nothing fancy, kind of low beds. Basically a place to crash and move on. Caulking around sink pretty hilarious, curtain hung crooked etc. Check in gal very nice and helpful. Very rough but fine for a trucker. You're getting what you pay for.

Online reviews and pictures did not reflect the property's real condition. Wall in the room were cracked and peeling. Both sink and shower dripped constantly. Bed and sheets had stains. Truck parking close to my room so loud at all hours. Outside paint was chipped and dirty. Would not stay there again.

Well, the lady who checked me in was very sweet :)
But, once I got to the got the room, I noticed right away it was a room with 2 double beds (I reserved a king size bed). The air conditioner/heater looked like it was from the 1980s and the air conditioning didn't work at all, so I didn't sleep well because I kept feeling warm. And, there were little black hairs I kept finding in random places. This hotel definitely needs a lot of renovations. But, thankfully I only needed to stay for one night.

Pet friendly motel

I enjoyed my stay here. The room was comfortable and because I was traveling with pets it was wonderful having my truck parked right outside my room. It meant I didn’t disturb anyone else when I took them outside. The staff was nice and the room clean. You could see they did some updates but yes they could update their bathtub/shower. But in this economy that is an expensive update I’m sure they’ll do. Once they are updated though it will definitely get five stars all around.

I would definitely stay here again.

The room was extremely dirty. The carpet was stained badly. The bed was like sleeping on bricks. The room smelled awful!! We were told it was a \"non smoking\" facility, yet we found numerous cigarette butts still in the trash can when we arrived. My boyfriend and I were both so sore the following morning that we cut our trip short and drove the 4 hours back home. I will NEVER stay here again!!
