Located in Shawnee On Delaware, Shawnee Village Resort is in the mountains, within a 5-minute drive of Shawnee Golf Resort and Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Turned out the place is being shut down on Jan 7th but still being marketed as a lovely useable family experience. It was awful. we left early. The staff was the only redeeming qualitiy. Owners were very nice and should be reserved for them to enjoy their last few days for memories. NOT for unsuspecting renters hoping for a fun escape

One of the staff members took the time to point out all of the local spots for hiking and even rated them in terms of difficulty. Our stay was okay. My wife and I are not fancy people that need a fancy hotel to stay at to be happy. We spent most of the time out and about exploring the area, hiking and finding places to eat. It was more than enough for us and we loved that it had a little kitchen. We even thought about bringing our kids some time in the winter to go skiing because the house was big enough and everything was so convenient. I do want to highlight some cons though. The WiFi is terrible. Devices would struggle to stay connected, when mentioned to the staff, they told us to call the carrier. That should not be on us to do and should not be our responsibility. The TVs were smart TVs but they told us they are not connected and cannot be connected so we could not log in to our streaming services to watch stuff. Even if we had a Firestick or Roku, I am not sure the wifi would have handled it. The place is outdated. The couch was in really rough condition and the carpets need to be replaced. The water pressure is really bad. Not sure if that is a common thing in the Poconos but it was tough to shower with water pressure that was that low.

The worst experience I’ve ever had there in 5 years. I will not be returning and no longer recommend for anyone to stay. The places were never swept to make sure they were guest ready, bugs everywhere, wasp nest in the bathroom, and a waste of money. I spoke to supervisor for the night and she move me and the place was worse, when I came back to give her my thoughts she said I could just check out if I wasn’t ok with the change. Who does that?! What a great decline.

It is a beautiful property, on a great location. This was a family vacation with about a big group in total we had 3 cabins. I noticed that some of the cabins needed more work/ cleaning than others. My place was in a very good shape and very clean, unfortunately I cannot say the same on the others. The pool areas were very good, I love the fact that the pools are not too deep for our kids to enjoy it. The staff should be more involved and be more customer service focused.

Overall the stay was pleasant enough. The villa was spacious and had everything we needed for our family. The kitchen had clearly been updated however the rest of the villa was pretty outdated as far as furniture and rugs plus there were cob webs in allot of spots. The resort had plenty of activities to choose from such as candle making and murder mystery groups but the individuals overseeing the activity were rather rude at times, rushing instructions and made it feel less enjoyable unfortunately. We did enjoy the arcade and air hockey and my son loved getting to use the indoor basketball court.

We loved this resort! It was our first time staying on the property. We are a large family and it was perfect for us. The homes are a bit dated, but clean. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were crisp. The resort provided dish soap, a sponge, and laundry detergent.

Our unit wasn't updated but it was clean and comfortable. It had an old fashioned kind of rustic look. We had an issue with ants upon arrival but maintenance was sent out immediately to fix the problem. The water wasn't always hot but maybe it was because there were 5 of us! We made use of the pools, hot tub and game rooms during our stay. The restaurants and supermarkets were all 15 minutes drive away. Overall i would rate our visit a 6 out of 10.

One of my favorite places to go with my family. About 2 hour drive so its not too much for the kids to tolerate. Spacious units fully stocked with everything except food. Grocery stores about 10 minutes away. Within an hour of pulling up my family is in full fledge party mode! We found this location five years ago and have been going annually ever since. See you next year Shawnee Village!

The cottages were clean and well kept. Property offers enough activities to keep the kiddies occupied. The pool however was the issue. It was over chemicalized causing a closer on day two. Pool accessibility is a major priority when we vacation.

The unit that we were in was dirty with sticky counters, dead cockroaches, stains in the carpet, smelly rooms, dirty patio! The unit looked so run down and the bathroom shower stall was so tiny that you can’t take a shower without bumping into something! The resort is not kid friendly in the sense you, you can’t access the recreational area without driving down, the kids couldn’t go by themselves! The pool outside was closed and the indoor pool was too crowded and dirty! Two days into the unit and the a/c stopped working and we had to pack up everything and get moved into another unit, which surprisingly was in a better condition! We were coerced into signing for a presentation by Wyndham resorts and were not told about $60 deposit, that we lost because we said our schedule was busy. What a rip off! I never had such a bad experience!

This was our first time at resort. Check in is not easy you have to go two desks first to check in and second desk they trying to sell you to listen later at your stay 90 minutes their promotion. So check in time was long. There is no internet they stop your internet service and gives you wifii which never works. Villa itself had carpet which has old smell in the rooms and there was dead flies in the kitchen sink and big spider in the bathroom tub.

There’s a giant orange bucket shaped bathtub off the kitchen that was strange. No jets. Just a deep orange tub. The showers are all tiny like you’re showering in a camper. My husband couldn’t even turn around in it and I had to turn the water off to scrub up, then turn it back on to rinse. We had ants in the kitchen that they sprayed the morning after our checkin.
