I just came back from staying at Camelback this past weekend with my three girls (11 y/o, and twins 8 y/o). The check-in process was probably the longest I have ever had to wait at a hotel (nearly one hour standing in line). Lots of noise (yelling, running) in the halls outside our room and hearing it through the walls even late at night. People walking around the main part of the hotel in bare feet and only bathing suits, men shirtless - really not necessary. There should be a policy that you have to wear shoes and clothes everywhere except the waterpark. Food was very expensive. Waterpark was supposed to close at 9 PM on Friday night, but we were told to leave at 8 PM which made my kids very upset. Not sure if I would go back to Camelback or go to a different similar resort in the Poconos area next time.

I came here 8 years ago, and compared to today, everything feels outdated and lacking updates. We arrived on Saturday, and check-in was supposed to be at 3 PM, but our room wasn’t ready until almost 2–3 hours later. We are a family of 7, so it was very difficult trying to get ready for the pool in the locker room while waiting.

The waterpark closed at 8 PM, so by the time we finally got into the room, we only had a couple of hours left to enjoy it, which felt like a waste of money.

We asked for some kind of compensation or a later checkout because of the long delay. Unfortunately, the manager and staff did not seem apologetic or understanding. They only offered a 1-hour late checkout. Even after I explained that we lost almost 3 hours because of the delay, they still would not offer 2 hours, any discount, or compensation for a future stay.

This was very disappointing and honestly the worst customer service experience I’ve had. I will not be coming back again.

Over-priced on stay, charged for parking and should have been included with the price of hotel stay, no amenities at all. Asked for extra towels 2x and maid came in around 12:3am and thank goodness my daughter was awake - scary. Will not go there again. Should have stayed at Hampton Inn.

First off, we had a very hard time sleeping at night because of an incident that happened on our first night. A house keeping lady just walked in on me and my partner completely naked. She didn’t knock or announce herself at all. When I spoke to the front desk they told me to hold for a supervisor, after 6 minutes of holding the same person came back on the phone and said no one was around to answer. She took my information down and told be they would reach out. To which they never did. I waited for the 3 days I was staying there and never was reached out to. This is a horribly managed place. I will not be returning, and will make sure to tell my family and friends that this hotel has no privacy policy or sympathy when they make a very serious and abrasive error.

Secondly, Half the water park was closed and that wasn’t discussed on the website. No basic pool or nothing. Changing $20 dollars for a “pina colada” should be a damn shame. Especially when it’s just coconut water and ice in a blender.

Thirdly, the website was super confusing, no consistency in any of the restaurants hours, or events. We had no clue the 5,000 foot zip line was closed until we got there and was told by a bartender in trails end. As well as the sun tubing that wasn’t open but was in the website. There was nothing much to do at the resort, so we had to travel outside for any activities. But we booked specifically this hotel, so we could have something to do without leaving it.

Nice Waterpark. Rooms are a little bit older. Needs upgrading for the price. Parking charge is insane. Would have been nice to have a cheaper breakfast option. Not really sure it was worth it.

The waterpark itself was clean, and wasn't crowded when we were there (5/2/26) and quite managable compared to some larger competition (Kalahari). Both days we were there the hot tub was FREEZING, really uncomfortably cold.

The hotel was fine, there was enough to eat and drink in a pinch but I would highly recommend dining off-site. The variety was lacking, but the staffing was problematic. Service was painfully slow, and I waited 25 minutes in line for a plain black cup of coffee because there was one person on the register and one making drinks. Unacceptable on a Sunday morning.

The rooms definitely needed updating, the mattresses were extremely uncomfortable, and I had to request a coffee maker for the room which is a basic staple.

I paid $289 through Expedia for the least expensive double queen room. I will not be returning.

This was our third time at camelback resort and it was really disappointing. We went to celebrate 2 birthdays this weekend and for dinner we went to a restaurant that ran out of stake there was no pasta or anything we can enjoy eating. There was no other restaurant option beside the pizza place. It was really disappointing for my family and I. We had to drive away from the resort so that we can find a decent restaurant after spending so much money on booking 5 rooms.

The staff at the reception made us wait for about 40 minutes. The lady was sick and I a rush didn't explain anything and never mentioned there was an app available to find about the amenities. The buffet waitress was even worse, she put the coffee on yhe table and never came back, didnt bring any water and after 30 minutes waiting for her to come with the check, she was very nasty and said the tip was already included. The room was nice and clean and the cleaning people very helpful in finding our way to restaurants and places.

We stayed at Camelback Resort for one night and the experience was frustrating overall.

We arrived early and waited 1 hr 20 mins just to check in, then another 1 hr 10 mins for our room. While we were offered pool access and given arcade cards and late checkout (1 PM), it didn’t make up for over 2 hours of waiting.

When we finally got to the water park, we were told it closed at 8 PM, so we only had a short time to enjoy it. In the room, the towels were extremely small, not practical for 3 adults and 2 kids. The next morning, I requested more towels and it took almost 2 hours for them to arrive, by then we were already done getting ready.

To make things worse, we found out the water park closed at 1 PM that day and wouldn’t reopen until the following weekend. No one mentioned this at check-in, and my son was very upset since we expected to enjoy it after checkout.

On top of everything, we were charged a $49.99 resort fee and $25 for self-parking, which felt excessive without clear explanation.

Overall, poor communication, long waits, and limited access to amenities made this a disappointing stay.

I personally didn’t like the extra fees that the hotel charged even though Expedia charged fees to cover the stay. The fact that you had to pay 25 per night just for parking . How the breakfast buffet is 100 with an automatic 18% gratuity included for a party of 3 (2 adults one child ). How the indoor water park closes at 8pm but you can’t check in until 4 pm . In the end we had a good time but it would be nice if we wouldn’t be surprised with additional hidden fees especially if Expedia charges for the same fees .

We planned this trip for my daughter’s 12th birthday and from the point of check I wish I had book some place else. There was an hour 1/2 wait for the check in line, Rewind, on Friday at 4am I received an email that the park would close at 12noon on Sunday. We checked in Saturday & was told the park closed at 9, only to be ask to leave at 8pm. The sliding door handles were broke off and the lamp shade fell off on my daughter’s head( she was fine). Camelback was not the experience we anticipated. However Sunday morning the waitress paid for my daughters breakfast and they brought her a balloon to our table. Christal was our waitress and she was amazing and Dia and Megan whom I’m assuming wawere managers was awesome as well!! I give credit where its due!

This resort feels very outdated and does not meet expectations for the price. The pool area lacks proper loungers—only uncomfortable chairs are provided unless you pay extra for better seating. Parking is also not included, which adds to the overall cost.

The water park was disappointing, with several slides not functioning and a noticeable shortage of floaters for the lazy river. The breakfast buffet was overpriced for what was offered—very basic options like eggs, pancakes, and bacon.

The only positive aspect was the suite, which was clean and spacious. However, aside from that, the experience did not justify the price. Resorts like Kalahari Resorts and Great Wolf Lodge offer a much better overall experience and value.

We stayed 1 night. Booked a double queen bed room with a balcony. The room was clean and well kept. The water park was clean and towels were always available. The showers and changing rooms were clean. The bar/pool area was located perfectly near the pool. Everyone was super respectful. The waterslides were alot of fun, no insane long lines I would definitely recommend to families with older children.

Unfortunately not a great experience. I booked a standard 2 queen room. I received an email from the resort asking if I would like to bid on an upgrade. I choose to bid on a suite. 24 hours before arrival it tells me I won. I show up to check in and they tell me it’s not available. Honestly not a huge deal I only needed the 2 queen anyway. I arrived at 11pm get to my room and it’s not cleaned bathing suit clothing tags in middle of the floor messy beds and dirty bathroom no surfaces wiped down. I go back to desk ask for it to be cleaned they say yes. I wait an hour in the dirty room and no one shows up I ask desk for another room I’d like to get sleep after my 4 hour drive there. The lady at the desk gives me another room. Go to the room the room is cleaned but smells like weed and it’s 77 degrees in the room. I turn the ac on and when I wake up room still hot Ac doesn’t work in the room. Was extremely disappointed in the stay but honestly I blame myself I could have went 15 minutes up the road and stayed at Kalahari which never disappoints instead of saving the 200. Oh and the 25 a night to park is a joke they sell so many day passes if you run out to get something mid day good luck finding a spot again. If I have to pay to park overnight I should be able to find parking.

Room bathroom floor was dirty, carpeted hallways and stairs were dirty. The cafes on site were not open (on line stated they were). Asked several times for refills on bathsoap & conditioner, showed up the following day. Lazy river ride had a lot of people not in tubes, bumping into.

The breakfast at Hemisphere was great. Plenty of options and all fresh. The best dinner experience was at Trails. We had a wonderful time. Food was incredible. Then we had dessert around the fire pit outside, because the weather was great. Our server was definitely the best. Much kudos to her.

they were severely overbooked and understaffed. We had to wait for 1 hour in the check-in line. In the room, whatever we asked for took several hours. Crib for our baby took 2 hours to arrive. Blankets and pillows took 5 hours to arrive after multiple messages, reminders and calls. Overall they should book according to their staff and limit.

Let’s start with the 1 hour check in line. There were 2 front desk employees working, with guests lined to exit doors. The staff were very friendly so can’t blame them for being understaffed. That is on management, especially during spring break!
Stayed multiple times at Kalahari and they have full staffing front desk plus Kiosks to self check in!
Room was not clean. Found hair in bathroom and food on carpet. Stains on wall.
When you check in, there is a number to text for any questions or concerns. I texted multiple times during our 4 night stay and nobody responded.
Tried calling front desk and nobody answered.
They charge you $25 a night to park your own vehicle? I asked before we went if there was enough parking and was reassured they counted how many overnight guests to parking spots reserved for them. You had to drive around every time you went out, for 30 mins to an hour, to get a parking spot. That’s because they admitted nobody was enforcing the day guests were parking in the reserved parking area for overnight guests. And again, they bill $25 per night for self parking?? There were also some very aggressive drivers cutting off people waiting for a spot.
The indoor water park is much smaller and outdated, compared to the newer Kalahari.
The snow tubing was fun and the pricing was good! No long wait during the weekday and very nice setup.
I called multiple times during our stay and after, to speak with a manager and they never returned my calls.

First of all check I. Was suppose to be at 4:00 but my room was not ready until 7:00 after the check in it took another 2 hrs to recieve a remote for the tv, I spend 3 nights and recieved no room service to replace towels and Change linens after requesting it, I was told that they are very short staff. The arcade was a rip off, super expensive, the breakfast was not worth the price of $28 for adult and $18 for kids. The bathroom could have Been cleaner, it had mold in the shower. I was very disappointed with Camelback this year, the resort can use some updates for the price that they are charging per night. Overall the kids had fun a lot of fun at the water park.

Room had other peoples clothes in our drawers. Dead ladybugs everywhere. Sink and back of sink were atrocious. No towels. No toilet paper and the toilet paper in the one room was broken. The one room we tried to have out kids sleep in the door handle stayed locked wouldn’t unlock ( super unsafe). The lines for food were outrageous like one person taking orders and one person making the food. Lines must have been 40 people long. The line to check in took 2 and 1/2 hours so make sure you don’t plan on doing a lot the first day.
