Beautiful authentically guatemalan property offering great views of the Volcanoes and Lake Atitlan. No direct access to the lake but quick drive or walk to the Pana docks where you can catch a ferry boat to the different villages. Very clean, attentive staff and amazing food!

My stay at Jenna’s River Bed & Breakfast at Lake Atitlán was truly unforgettable. I stayed in the Quetzal Room at the very top of the boutique hotel, and the view was simply spectacular — a panoramic look over the lake and all three volcanoes. Waking up to that view each morning felt like a dream.

What really makes this place special, though, is the staff. From the moment I walked through the gates and was welcomed by Astrid, I knew I was somewhere special. The entire team goes above and beyond. A huge thank you to Sebastian, Fernando, Alejandra, Manu, and Adrina for making everything absolutely perfect during my stay.

The breakfast each morning was excellent, and I enjoyed three delicious dinners there as well. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel relaxed and taken care of. I also had a 90 minute massage!

I will always cherish my three nights here and only wish I could have stayed longer.

We had a very relaxing stay at Jenna’s. The lake views were immaculate, rooms were comfortable & very clean, and the staff were so friendly. They were responsive and extremely helpful with booking excursions and shuttle buses for us. Location is a tiny bit out of town but we preferred this to better enjoy the tranquility of the lake.

Nice B&B with incredible views of the lake. The rooms are large and clean, and the staff is very kind and helpful. Breakfast is great as well, and the Syrian-inspired dinner is a must-try!
The only downside is that it's about 1.5 miles from the center of Panajachel, but the views definitely make up for that.
Would definitely come back!

We had an amazing stay at Jenna’s! The staff was so friendly and accommodating. We had the most incredible view from the front porch of our yurt, which was spacious, clean and comfortable. The food at the restaurant was so good! We chose to eat there every night instead of venturing out, we wanted to try everything on the menu! Happy hour at the bar was super fun. Definitely will recommend this magical place in the mountainside. We ventured out to Panajachel to catch a boat to the other towns along the lake, take an atv tour and went zip lining at the nature preserve. The staff at Jenna’s had great recommendations and were so helpful setting up transportation and reservations.

Our experience at Jenna's was incredible! The staff was so friendly and accommodating, while also not hovering, which I really liked. It made for a very peaceful trip. Also, we celebrated our anniversary there and they had a sweet little romance package upgrade for $50 USD which included decorating the room, a bottle of wine, chocolates, and roses. What an absolutely amazing experience staying here! Everything from the prime location between Panajechel and Santa Catarina to the excellent service provided from Manu and the rest of the staff here was more than memorable. We enjoyed the most delicious fresh free breakfast at the restaurant and drinks from the cocktail bar every day. The massage at the spa was otherworldly!! And the best part is the two most amazing roommates Samson and Delilah, the friendliest cats that stay on the property!
Other reviewers may mention outdated rooms or linen, however you don’t come here for the most modern accommodations in Guatemala. You come for it to feel like home. The attention to detail in each room and from the staff gives you everything you might need. We enjoyed massages from the amazing spa staff, were provided cheap, reliable TukTuks back and forth from whatever town we liked, and got the best priced transport back to the airport! They even had our laundry done! For any stay in Panajechel this will always be my go to. Good people, fair prices, and great vibes. Can’t ask for more! Thank you Jenna’s River B&B!

A corner of heaven! A perfect getaway away from the hustle and bustle from the main town. The pictures don’t do this place justice. It’s gorgeous and hospitable. From the amazing staff to the tuk tuk drivers they go above and beyond in helping you get to place to place. The staff was helpful in arranging my tour. 10000/10 I highly recommend Jenna’s B&B. Beautiful room though I did feel a bit deceived that it said it had a lakeview. If I return, will request to not have \"turtle\" room but one that is higher up. Also, I arrived close to 5 p.m. and reception had already left, though website said to let them know if arriving later than 6 p.m., so was not too pleased. However, kitchen staff was very sweet and still gave me dinner even though I was confused and thought kitchen opened for dinner at 7 (it closed for dinner at 7!).

Beautiful property, all rooms have amazing lake views. The people are so genuinely friendly and the service is excellent. The only thing is that next time I'll make sure I don't book Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, as options are limited in the area. I'll visit Jenna's Bed and Breakfast before or after. So grateful to the staff for all their help. My mother was looking for a medicinal plant and they helped her find it. Definitely a must stay @

Pros:
1. We were there for our son's 18th birthday. They decorated the room and arranged for a cake.
2. Views of the lake is very nice
3. The food at the restaurant is very good.

Cons:
1. It is very far from everything and in the middle of nowhere. Not within walking distance of anything. The tuktuks don't usually stop in front of this place. The only tuktuk guy that is available thru the hotel is super expensive. We only took his ride once from here to the village of San Antanio and were charged $20. We came back for less than half of it by taking other tuktuks. We took a long walk to the next small place about 15 mins down the road and then got into a tuktuk from there to Pana the couple of days we were there, just to avoid the hotel tuktuk guy.
2. Extremely noisy if you are closer to the main road, which our room happened to be.
3. Very basic breakfast. They were very fussy when my wife asked for some tomatoes to put on her bread, instead of eggs, as she is fully vegetarian. Not what we expect in a place that charges US prices.
4. Take USD or local currency. Credit card has a steep surcharge (in all of Pana). They also have a bad conversion on top of it.
5. Spa is in a gazebo down below and was extremely cold on a windy day (we were there in Nov). They never told us it is almost in open air.

Amazing staff; I was able to get my shoes cleaned here along with my laundry.
The breakfast is good and we are at the Syrian restaurant they have in the hotel (also amazing).
They have two cute cats roaming around and amazing drinks at the bar.
The biggest perk is probably the tuktuk driver Lino, who you can message for a ride when necessary (7 am to 7 pm usually).
Staff always helps with your luggage and were so helpful. I checked out before breakfast and the had some yogurt, fruit and granola put aside for me to take in the morning.

Jenna’s is in a magical setting on the side of a hill with a great view of the lake and volcanoes. The front desk folks were incredibly helpful in getting Tuktuks to town and transport to Antigua coordinated. We had the pre fixe dinner which was delicious. I would recommend bringing a beanie and a fleece jacket as mornings on the lake can be a little chilly.

The room we were staying at (Armadillo) was very comfortable, a bit on the smaller side but perfect for 2 people, with a nice balcony.
Breakfast was tasty (only one option - traditional chapin breakfast - that's included in the room rate, and a few other paid for options). The team is very friendly and helpful.
Wifi works usually well, although may require a bit juggling of multiple networks.
5 parking spots available. Nice pool area in the lower part of the property, although we didn't use it much (pool is not heated).

The staff were amazing. I felt like I was a guest at my families house. Everything we needed was made so easy. The hotel has a driver they use for their tuk-tuk rides so you do not have to pay an excessive amount. The drive is friendly and always made us feel safe being in a new place. We had gotten couple massages, which were relaxing and much needed after our hike. The hotel even helped us with transportation back to Guatemala City. Everyone we encountered was kind and welcoming. The staff really stood out to me.

The rooms were cozy and clean. I will say that some spiders got in through the cracks, but that is to be expected due to the location. We had a fresh pitcher of water given to us each day. The food served at the hotel restaurant was good. I would stay at this hotel again and again.

The staff, dinner, and view at Jenna's were great. We really enjoyed that aspect. And we liked there was hot water. The hotel itself could use some love - it is dated and looking old. There are large 2-3 inch gaps under the door and it was very cold in the mornings. The internet did not work well, sometimes not at all, in the rooms. Stairs could all use some repairs and paint. Unfortunately our room was right below the bar and I assume it appeared to be friends of the staff that were quite loud for hours 2 of our 3 nights there (this did quiet down at posted time of 9 so that was appreciated but did detract from relaxing or working in our rooms). Overall the view and dinner were what made our stay enjoyable.

Awesome spot with an amazing view of Lake Atitlán

Just a 5-minute tuk-tuk ride from both Panajachel and Santa Catarina Palopó, the location is super convenient yet tucked away in a quiet, peaceful area where you’ll truly find relaxation.

I stayed in the Iguana room, which was great. It doesn’t have a fridge, but the restaurant and kitchen area downstairs can keep your items refrigerated if needed. Very practical!

Although I didn’t get a chance to try the bar, I had dinner at the restaurant and was impressed—the Syrian dish was absolutely exquisite and paired perfectly with the wine I brought. (There’s a Q50 corkage fee, which I found very reasonable given the quality of the food and the priceless view).

The property also has a traditional Mayan sauna, which I didn’t get to try this time but definitely will in the future. It’s all done in a traditional, manual way, so you need to arrange it in advance. I highly recommend guests take advantage of this unique and relaxing experience in nature.

And finally, a big thank-you to Federico (Argentina), Andrea (Colombia), and Stephanie (Honduras)—such a warm, kind, and welcoming team. A lovely melting pot of hospitality!

The staff here are truly exceptional—especially bartender Fede, manager Andrea, and Stephanie. They went above and beyond to be flexible and accommodating during an excruciating personal time for me, and I’ll never forget their kindness. Jenna's B&B was an excellent place to stay! The views here of the lake and the volcanoes were so beautiful and the place truly felt like home. Our villa was comfortable and clean. We were provided with fresh linens and fresh water daily. The staff was EXCEPTIONAL! Yvan and Andrea really helped us get our plans organized and helped us get around to the different towns, making plans for us while we were there. They are both extremely communicative and friendly and without a doubt helped to maximize our experience. I don't know what I would have done without them! Norbert, who was a member of the staff as well was the sweetest and most accommodating. He went above and beyond for us during our stay.

The food at Jenna's is also a 10/10. We had breakfast and dinner there during our stay and enjoyed the well flavored, delicious meals. When I return to Lake Atitlan I will definitely be looking forward to staying here again. Now that I am back home I am missing waking up to the breathtaking views while enjoying a freshly brewed cup of coffee on a chilly morning.

Beautiful property would definately come back in the warmer months. A little away from main downtown Panajachel but the Tuktuk would pick us up no problems. Yvan was supernice and helpful. Walked 25min to the thermal waters and what a nice hike and experience. His brother the Chef cooked up some Syrian cuisine that was amazing! We only wish we had another day or two to try it again. Loved, loved, loved it!

My husband and I loved our stay at Jenna's River B&B! The property and the views were so beautiful, I could not stop taking pictures. We loved relaxing on our private patio as well as in the open air bar and open air restaurant. Service was friendly and accommodating.

Others have made comments about the stairs. Yes, there are a lot of stairs because the entire property is on a steep hill.

I was also concerned about the comfort of the bed and bugs in the room, as that had also been mentioned in a review. My husband and I slept comfortably and housekeeping cleaned the room and changed the bedding every day. We saw one or two small bugs in the bathroom, but I see bugs like that in my own home from time to time, so I didn't see that as a big deal at all.

This hotel also provided us with a pitcher of filtered water in our room every day.

Overall, our stay was wonderful, and we will definitely stay here again when we return to Guatemala!

This place was so beautiful with a great view of the lake. Lots of steps but it gets your cardio in haha. The food was so delicious, especially the breakfast. The staff are all so kind and helpful. You are close enough to panajachel and can take a tuktuk, but it’s far enough where you feel the peacefulness of the lake. We didn’t have warm water for the shower in our room but it helps cool you off when the day is hot, small inconvenience compared to how nice everything else was. Would stay here again!

Great anniversary get away

Scenery was absolutely beautiful. Owners were on property to greet us. An amazing breakfast was included. Our stay was only one night so not long enough. Everyone was so friendly , they even had a happy hour, which sadly we missed.

Yvan the manager was absolutely phenomenal. He took care of us from the time we buzzed in after the private car drove us from Antigua and booked every minute of our stay from the time we woke up to bed time. He made all transportation arrangements and even paid less than half the price for a premium driver back to the Guatemala airport. He arranged the best meals. Constantly had drinks and food delivered to our room amd last but not least on last day extended our stay till 4 pm so we could book the 90 min reflexology and 2 hour massages. Ok I have to admit that him growing up near me north of Montreal Quebec and speaking several languages fluent didn’t hurt. Oh we sampled some of the best IPA ever. My wife and I cannot wait to call Yvan to set up another trip. We even invited him to our house in Tampa for his next vacation. What a great place but it takes a great leader to make it happen. He treats his staff very well and we arranged for everyone on the facilities, including the kitchen staff and the room cleaners to get a proper tip. And Yvan made all the arrangements with them directly without having to stop by a single ATM. 5 star service in Panajachel Guatemala. Now that was a new one for me having been there for the past 35 years. It grew quite a bit. I recommend reconsidering hiking St Pedro Volcano alone in less than 5 hours which we did 12 miles of climbing that day on our watches. Maybe go slower or learn that we are getting a bit older. An excellent location to say especially if we are lucky enough to get one of the rooms higher up which have better views. Although some distance from town, transport is usually available within 10 minutes. Coffee and a small fridge in the room would make the stay even better.

Very beautiful. Staff was great. It is gated where only guests can enter. Great breakfast. We were a bit noisy in the night (around midnight). We were kindly asked to keep it down. We took our conversations inside and were not asked again. It's good to know they do a good job of ensuring a good experience for all.

Amazing views right from your own room. Nice pool. This place is best if you want to be away from the busyness of town. Good food from their own restaurant. If you want more food options you'd need to ride a tuck-tuck to town.

Beautiful spacious rooms (Yurts) each is very individual and unique. Gorgeous views of the lake and volcanoes, off the beaten path but not far from town (5 min. by Tuktuk) Food at the restaurant was very good (traditional Guatemalan breakfast included) Great full bar with views and games and lounge area. Mari was so helpful and kind!

Best tub with a view ever.

Our room was a fabulous yurt that had gorgeous view of Lake Atitlan and the volcanoes there. The grounds had lovely plants and flowers. There was no outlet to the lake but a pool instead. This was not totally clear in the readings I did about the property. They had a wonderful bar and restaurant for breakfast, snacks and dinner. Santa Catarina is a short Tuk Tuk drive away or you can walk about 15 minutes like we did.

Amazing!

An amazing hillside property overlooking the lake. Our yurt was high up near the gate and we did a lot of climbing up and down to swim, use the sauna and eat and drink.

With a few improvements and repairs this property will fully shine!

Had a fantastic stay here with my family! Great food and service. And, oh the VIEWS!
Yvan (hotel manager) set up some day trips for us. Highly recommend the guided boat trip to the Mayan pueblos and the Mayan cooking class.
