I would recommend this hotel. It was in a good location (walkable to Mall and union station) and reasonably priced. Did have a problem with bed: all beds are foldable and one of the two wouldn’t go down. Maintenance responded pretty quickly but couldn’t fix. We had to move to another room. Fine, these things happen, but I was surprised there was little effort to apologize or compensate for the inconvenience.

Our stay at the Yotel in Washington DC was great. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They go above and beyond to assist. 💕

I would have liked to use the pool—however I’ll have to come back!

Check in/out are a breeze, no waiting in line unless there’s a question or issue.

The only real negative is the lack of a coffee machine in the room. This would really make our stay exceptional. There is limited coffee provided on the 2nd floor—however most hotels have this accessible at all times.

We were able to get a mini fridge which I greatly appreciated as I was travelling with two kids.

Parking is easy and underneath the hotel, which made it easy to transport our items.

The location is minutes from Union station and about 10-15 min from the Smithsonian museums. Great location!

We were on a quick family trip in DC. We enjoyed that the hotel was very close to Union Station and to the Capital. The room itself was clean and I was pleasantly surprised that they clean the rooms every day. We had plenty of towels. The bed was most enjoyable and very comfortable, better than my bed at home. The food at the restaurant was excellent! I highly recommend the steak eggrolls. We would love to come and stay again.

I thought this was a great place to stay. Convenient (I walked from Union Station to the hotel). Check in was a breeze. Courteous staff. Room was clean and modern. I had stayed at a yotel before -- so I knew how the lights, etc worked in the room (but I remember it being confusing on my first stay - which was out in Seattle). It was really pricey -- but I'm guessing there was a special event in DC - because I had seen more reasonable prices at other times.
Only complaint -- the outlet built into the bed frame did not work. Otherwise A+++

The staff was nice though not clear on the process for parking amenity I was offered via email. In the end I did not receive the discounted price. Also there is a $35 fee tacked on that you apparently agree to (must be some tiny hidden wording) when booking. You can use $10 of it toward food however, when we tried to use it for breakfast they said no because we were checking out later that day. You have to use it the first day if you’re only there one night. That didn’t seem right. Otherwise we loved the room and the vibe at the hotel. *note there is no mini fridge or coffee pots in room so don’t bring back leftovers

Front counter person told me I get a free bottle of wine. Said I didn’t drink alcohol but would take a soda instead if they offered. Just said sorry no. For those who do not drink or have had issues with substance abuse. This kind of stunk. If you’re willing to give a bottle a wine offer a free 2 liter.

We had a good stay at YOTEL Washington DC overall. The hotel is very well located, close to the museums and very near Union Station, which is a big plus. The room was very clean and organized. The breakfast could improve a little, although Ms. Rosa was very kind and made the experience much better.

My main issue with the hotel was with billing and the way the situation was handled at checkout. I made my reservation through Expedia, but when I checked in, I was charged again $505 for the two nights of my stay, plus an additional $200, for a total of $705. Fortunately, I reviewed my bank account, noticed the charges, and was able to report the issue. The first employee who assisted me was very kind and explained that it had been a system error. I was told that I would receive a receipt at checkout.

However, at checkout, while I was calmly explaining the situation to the front desk employee, who was also very patient and helpful, another staff member interrupted us and started raising her voice at me. I felt this was very disrespectful, especially because I was only asking for a receipt to have confirmation that the $705 charged to my card would be refunded. This was a mistake made by the hotel, not by me.

The hotel should be more considerate in the way staff speak to guests, especially when guests are trying to resolve an issue caused by the hotel itself.

This hotel has really fallen off. It used to be my first choice when visiting DC for work, but customer service has gotten pretty bad over the past year or so. They even removed the coffee/tea stations that used to exist on each floor. No coffee in the rooms and none by the elevator.

Beds & pillows comfy. Received an email directly from the hotel stating we had a $29 room credit plus another $10 towards food & beverages. When checking in & inquiring about the credits, they have done away with the $29 credit and instead offer a free bottle of wine. We are not wine drinkers & would've definitely preferred the room credit. If it is not offered any more, why was it listed in the hotel email? Hotel is right next door to a fire station so we would hear sirens multiple times per night. There is no coffe maker in the room. There is a \"cool box\", labeled \"not a refrigerator\"....this also makes no sense. Amenities are far & few between with this hotel.

You certainly cannot beat the location of this hotel. It’s very close to the US Capitol, and part of the National Mall. I’m not sure what the business model of Yotel is, but I’d definitely classify this as a “no frills” budget hotel.

Having said that, the rooms and common areas were clean and fresh. You can tell the rooms have been updated relatively recently with mood lighting, and numerous ports to charge your electronic devices via USB. The WiFi was decent, and should be fast and robust enough for remote work. However, there wasn’t any water in the rooms, and all of the soap, shampoo, and lotion were from refillable bottles attached to the wall. These was a fairly nice restaurant in the lobby with a nice outdoor patio for eating. We weren’t able to go to the rooftop bar, as it was closed for another few weeks at the time of our stay.

Here the bad… the staff were not very welcoming. There was only one courteous staff member that I interacted with. The rest were downright rude. One of the porters refused to speak with my female friend. We were together, she tried to ask a question, and he ignored her until I asked the SAME question! It was a very inauspicious beginning to our stay.

Also, the last morning of our stay, there wasn’t ANY HOT WATER. There wasn’t an apology, or concession, even though we did mention itWhile I wasn’t expecting anything free, an apology would have gone a long way. In summary, it was just an “ok” place to stay. Not sure I’ll stay there again.

Не понравилось: ванна в номере. Дашь находится прям в комнате и отделен только полупрозрачной дверью. После принятия душа чтобы одеться ты должен выйти в коридор и комнату! Свет включается только общий. Это значит что когда я встала утром и хотела принять душ пока моя семья спала, я должна либо включить свет и тогда он будет светить всем, либо мыться в темноте! Очень не удобно.

The property felt clean, and fresh, and new. It was a unique experience - a room like I've never stayed in before. That said, I rated it Good instead of excellent because of a few quirks that detracted from the experience like \"napkins\" for toilet paper that weren't up to the job. Also, while the lighting was very nice in some aspects, I couldn't figure out (and this may be on me) how to turn on the light for the toilet without turning on the lights for the whole room and waking my wife.

Overall, the property was good. It is a great location for tourist of DC with walking distance to great locations. Staff were good .... except one lady on day shift at the main desk, curt and rude.
The room was extremely small without any amenities at all! No ice bucket, no coffee, extremely cheap, rough towels. Every morning, I would go to the restaurant to get my wife and I a coffee ... $12 for 2 cups and take it back to the room. The only thing Yotel provided was 2 small paper cups and an ice machine down the hall. The Yotel is located beside a DC fire department, so expect to hear the sirens on the firetrucks leaving often, night and day.
I believe next time I will try to Hyatt across the street.

I wish I got a room that had a view but it’s okay, only stayed one day and the cleanliness of the bathroom was top tier and that’s my biggest issue when it comes down to getting hotels. the bed was so comfy I slept like a baby! I had a decent night, I would stay again. The only downside to it is that parking is expensive. 50$ a night, and there was a 100$ deposit but I got it the same day I checked out. I wish the rooftop was open as well. either way I still had a wonderful stay!

This hotel is not even worth one start. Stay away from Yotel in DC. I booked this hotel because I had an excellent experience in Boston. However, I regret staying at this hotel so much. The property is not well maintained, they charge more than fair, and they take no responsibility. I emailed and called numerous times, only to be routed to different people who said there's nothing they can do. Absolutely horrible!!

The parking garage was a mess and scary to drive through. We got charges amenity fees for amenities we never even used. It was $70 just for 2 nights. On top of the amount we spent to stay there. Then there was a $200 holding fee which we didn’t even get back as soon as we left. We’re still waiting for it. Parking was $110 for just 2 nights.

It was so noisy. We were on the 2nd floor and I’m not sure what they are doing in the restaurant but it was like they were moving furniture on tile from about 8 am to 11 pm. So after 4 days of little sleep I’m ready to get home.
The place is nice and in a good location to get to the Metro. The staff were nice. If you do stay here, stay above the 2nd floor at least.

Place was just ok; but for the price we payed Tv was not able to connect to nobody’s phone to watch Netflix or YouTube. Ice/ water machine was really slow, everything seems to be an upcharge. Even if the room is ready, you have to pay 55 for an early check in. The roof top/ pool was not open although it said it would be open for spring. But staff was nice.

Museums were walking distance give or take about 20 minutes or so which is perfect when traveling with a baby , the rooms were very clean and updated however, there were no amenities didn’t get water bottles, no tea and no coffee. breakfast quality was very good, but felt like the selection was limited, (need more protein options other than bacon and eggs) staff didn’t seem too friendly. we requested a highchair for our baby and it felt like it was a bother. also, please note there is a resort fee at the end of checkout there is an occupancy tax and
a facility fee at checkout

The hotel was a great location. To check in you must use a computer terminal and make your own key cards. Not insurmountable, but annoying. We got a VIP food voucher, but the attached restaurant was closed for the weekend. The toilet and shower we're actually in the room, glass enclosed, but not a seperate room. Just weird. No hot water the 2nd morning. (boiler issue). Adjustable bed must be folded up to walk across the room. Wouldn't recommend.

Kids love being able to move the beds up and down and changing the light colors in the room. The room for being on the second floor was actually pretty well insulated from sound. And it stayed pretty dark with the blackout blinds. I was impressed. The front staff was also very helpful to me even so far as to let me borrow cards for the metro.

Nice clean hotel, however room a little small and unusual with shower opening into the room. Location good for Capitol hill, bit further for Smithsonian, Lincoln memorial etc, but easily walkable. Staff were hit and miss, when we first arrived to drop bags the lady was rude, however when we came back to check-in the 2 gentlemen who helped us were both excellent.

A great location, close to everything on Capitol Hill. It is a minimalistic style with function at its core. Beds were ok. Great basic amenities, although disappointed that there was no breakfast on the weekend. Didnt even see coffee as none was in the room. Restaurants were not too far away. Its a good hotel if you want a decent place to crash.

My shower barely had flowing water and it was lukewarm. Nobody cleaned my room and when I went to call the main desk to asked for somebody to clean my room, I discovered the phone also did not work. I attended a conference in the hotel, the conference room temperature was either freezing cold or sweltering warm, I was never comfortable. I tried to check out at 1015 and there was nobody at the front desk for another 10 minutes. A very poorly run hotel, especially in light of the very expensive rooms.

Hotel was clean and spacious. Staff was welcoming and helpful- we received a free bottle of wine and upgrade upon check in. Parking was so easy and the garage was attached to the hotel making it very convenient. Note there is a $10 “service charge” at the garage in addition to the daily rate of $50. Room was comfortable with a safe, fridge, work table, ironing board, and hair dryer. No coffee or clock in the room. Quiet and clean. Great location near the capital and a metro station. Would go back!

It was in a good location. The lobby was vibrant. However the service wasn't the best. When we initially checked in the lady at the front desk was rude But after that everyone else was nice and helpful. The service at the restaurant was slow.

The rooms are fine. They're way smaller than I thought they'd be and the ceiling are really low. We went during spring break so I expected the prices to expensive. But the 1st half of our trip we stayed in a luxury 5 star hotel for only a few hundred dollars more than the Yotel. So for the price, there are better options in the area.
In a pinch I would stay here again. But only if there are no other options.
It was a busy time and our initial hotel was sold out for the remainder of our trip. Or I would've stayed there.

We took the trip to see the cherry blossoms and enjoy the roof top view because it is in fact spring. We take a 5 hour train only to be told the advertised roof top does not open till spring!!! We requested and paid and additional $55 for a late check out only to be woken up 3 times with staff opening our door thinking we were already checked out. Very disappointed

The stuff was amazing, especially the front desk, woman, Dewan, she was amazing in the other tall gentlemen can pronounce. His name was great also super super nice. The only thing I wish that the restaurant was open with the bar, especially on weekends. I wish there was a little bit better selection for breakfast. All in all I give it a five I love the futuristic look of the rooms, especially the lighting where you can control the lighting which that was fantastic. Looking forward to staying again next year when they come for the Saint Jude Children’s Hospital 5K.

This is my second time staying at Yotel. I appreciate how clean and comfortable the rooms are. That is most important to me. The only reason that I did not rate this establishment as 5 star is because the restaurant is not open on the weekends, which is inconvenient for a quick breakfast. They state that a discount is provided for a meal in their restaurant, but if you're staying there over the weekend, this is not applicable. Besides this inconvenience, this is a nice hotel that is located in a very convenient part of D.C. The staff is very friendly and a pleasure to work with. I would definitely recommend it and I will stay here again for the excellent price and the spotless rooms.

Room is spacious and modern. The location is perfect for walking to historical sites. I had slight confusion with the parking but is was easily resolved. No complaints
