This truly was an absolutely amazing experience right from the moment we stepped inside of their lobby reception area. Being met by the most bubbly, engaged, helpful, knowledgeable staff is truly an understatement! Their English was very good. The ladies are all beautiful in every way both inside and out! The male staff are as equally as wonderful too. I don’t need to repeat all of that again! The front reception managers both Marta and Davf are both very professional and knowledgeable and they both lead by example from what I have seen. Marta goes above and beyond to help guests any way she can and I have experienced her kindness and willingness to help me on more than one occasion during our ten day stay! Both managers should be commended on their commitment, hiring skills, training and so! The front line staff are all amazing. We also received excellent help from the maintenance staff who are very willing to resolve anything one needs! Then we have the cleaning staff who also go above and beyond. I also met their manger in passing in the hallway she was very pleasant and knowledgeable too! I must mention Ladita by name who looks after the pool area sweeping and lovingly misting the plants. She is just so lovely! My whole point is the staff make your experience the best. Their bright smiles and beautiful eyes who make eye contact always; you can just tell each and everyone loves his or her job and they are happy and willing to do to make your experience the best ever!

Been staying at UPON since 2018.
I come see my 10 year old son every three months. Listen if you are looking for a good hotel with a great heated pool and good wifi this is your place. You can get Benfica stadium view if you like. You got great housekeepers, Stadium is just accross the bridge and Colombo shopping is 15 minute walk with great restaurants if you dont wanna hit the burgers up at UPON restaurant. Pingo Doce grocery store is 2 minute walk or accross the street. Uber eats, Uber are really quick to get there. If you are into public transportation is right there max 15 minutes walk for the train and the buses probably the same. Anyway try it you wont be dissapointed. Houston Texas :) in da house.

Beautiful hotel, in a great location. Grocery store across the street, massive mall about 10 minutes away, 10 minute walk to the train station and then about a 20 minute train ride to Alfama! Rooms are large and spacious, comfortable beds the only complaint I have is the rooms are not soundproof and you can hear everything in the rooms around you (including people snoring haha)

If you into football like me it’s a great location for Benfica. However, Aside from the swivel TV, which is a great feature, that’s where the compliments end.

I was there for 4 nights and they missed housekeeping one night. I’m still confused about the shower controls, complicated for no reason, the shower has no space in it which was weird considering the bathroom was spacious. Also, after you use the shower the sink tap water only comes out hot.

Lastly, not sure whose bright idea was it to put the wardrobe right next to the bed so you cant move or even put your suitcase/bag there if you open the door, stupid!

If you ask me you just paying for the location and the room should be cheaper!

It was a great setup for dad and I. We areived in Lisbon early and they let us checkin early. Receptionist spoke bith English and Portuguese. The room was a great setup a literal apartment! A living room, kitchenette, bathroom and we had a room with 2 bedrooms. Dad and i had space to hang out together and have privacy at night. There was a couple of stumbling blocks trying to figure out how a couple of things worked lol i didnt know you needed to put the room key in the slot next to the door to make the lights and AC work in the room so i had to call down to the front desk to figure out why the lights werent turning on. Also buttons are a little different in the shower so it took some fiddling around to figure it out lol the hotel is about 10-15 minutes away from the Lisbon airport and away from the main part of lisbon but everything is easy to get to via an uber or bolt. Our tour guide had no issue picking us up at the hotel. Benfica stadium is across the street.
There was a restaurant in the lobby of the hotel that served mainly burgers. The food was good, our only complaint was that we would ask for our burgers to be well done and they still came out a bit under cooked. However the wings were delicious. Breakfast was a buffet they had eggs, beans, bacon and another protien that varied and then pasteries and different types of breads and cheeses.
We loved our stay! Highly recommend!

Very poor customer service. Staff does not even notice you walking in or out. The gym is extremely poorly ventilated- it feels like exercising in a sunny glass sauna. The central air does not work.
You have to ask the front desk for a single dishwasher pod and there was no liquid soap or dish soap provided. I am not exaggerating. The cleaning lady had us go to the front desk every day that we needed a dishwasher pod. The hotel looks nice and sparkly on the outside but the dark aesthetic on the inside is just to camoflauge the poor cleanliness of the interior. Really disappointed.

Wish the area was a little closer to the cooler areas of Old Lisbon, but Ubers are cheap and quick. Nice place to stay if you want some extra space.

Pro: Our family enjoyed our stay for 1 week. Rooms were clean and it was great to have breakfast options. Supermarket across the street. Beach towel provided and repairs addressed promptly. Thoughtful welcome gift!

Con: Was hoping the rooms would be ready prior to 3pm, but it was ready after 3:30pm. Only iron access is to go to laundry room to use. Breakfast was fairly the same everyday. Return the free complimentary wine as i did not like dry wine and I wasn't given another option. Staff English is limited.

This hotel had more negatives than positives. The property was in a good location as we planned to visit Benfica stadium. It was a plus with the roof top pool on the 8th floor which was very warm and not deep. There was also a grocery supermarket opposite so we could buy food, drinks and snacks for the stay. However, the room was not fit for a hotel stay. The TV isn't updated to allow you to watch Netflix or even screen share with iPhone. The bathroom had no place to put your toiletries when you wanted to use them. The bed had no matress topper and was sinking when we got in. The walls are so thin we hear other hotel stayers sneezing and running and moving furniture. It was definitely not worth the stay. A day before, we stayed in a hotel in Rossio and that room had it all and it was only 3 stars. Didn't enjoy the stay and just wanted to go back home.

Visited with family, including 2 teenagers who love football. It's a short transfer from the airport - around €10 in a standard taxi. There's a fab supermarket across the road and the biggest hypermarket I've ever seen is over at Colombo Mall. We used Alto dos Moinhos tube to get around the city - although Google Maps always suggested one that was farther away.
The hotel staff were all lovely, going out of their way to be helpful and friendly. We were in a 2 bed apartment, with a fantastic view, great living space and 2 bathrooms. Great AC.
We loved the pool and all of the communal spaces. Meals were lovely, too.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

It is important for housekeeping to replace small bars of soap daily, but they did not. Since there is a washing machine in the hotel, there should be access to detergent provided for individuals who are staying at the location. In addition, the hotel to provide a weekly list of things to do in nearby areas. Service in the restaurant was slow.

This was a terrific property with lots of amenities in the room. Wished there had been face cloths in the bathroom. Proximity to the airport was most important to us as we had a 7:00 am flight. It was a 15 min cab ride. Staff was very attentive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

This was a wonderful home base for our stay in Lisbon. Right next to a stadium and a grocery store as well as walkable to the metro. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were spacious and had everything we needed. Special little touches made us feel great, and they were able to give us breakfast to make up for the pool being closed due to the storms that wrecked the pool covering, not their fault at all but they did what they could to make us happy! Breakfast was great too!

The location was good not to noisy or busy. Didn't realise it was right next to Benfica stadium and there were a couple of matches on while we were there. Bathroom was knackered, sink area needs replacing as water damaged over a long period of time. One dishwasher tab provided and a tea towel. No oven gloves or and other kitchen cleaning stuff. Everything else worked. Bed was like marble slab and pillows were very small. I personally didn't well during our stay. Overall not a bad hotel but could be improved with some minor improvement or refresh.

Room very comfortable, pastéis de nata and chocolates on tray. (Plus bottle of wine for VIP Access property.) Free snacks and drink in reception.
A couple of niggles, all sorted very quickly by contacting reception - no instructions for operating combined oven/microwave; bathroom fan, although switched off, came on when we got back at night and we couldn't stop it; touch panel next to entry door was not mentioned, not sure what the uses were; no bathrobes, but these could be requested free of charge; a j-cloth would have been useful to wipe the sink. I emailed after I returned home and had a lovely reply thanking me for my comments and suggestions.
Location was great - 3 minutes from Benfica stadium, and about 10 minutes to an excellent shopping centre and another 5 minutes to the Hospital da Luz.
A very positive experience akin to an aparthotel, and would definitely return.

We loved our stay at Upon Lisbon! The hotel is perfectly located next to the Benfica stadium which makes it very easy if you are attending a game. The hotel is a little farther from the city, so if you want a more central hotel don’t choose this one. Overall, I really loved the hotel and would stay again!

This location is not in town and not walkable but Uber helps.

There are only stairs to the lift so if you have large suitcases like I did it takes some effort.

Unfortunately the rooftop pool was closed during my stay.
