Floor of room didn’t look like it had been vacuumed, latch on door was broke, you could tell the door had been kicked in at some point cause it didn’t close fully towards the bottom. Shower pressure was garbage. Hotel was about 13 minutes from downtown Savannah which was great but I probably wouldn’t book here again. Beds were uncomfortable, pillows could definitely be better. Half the electrical outlets/usb ports didn’t work.

Hotel seems to be in a safe area. It was pretty quiet except for the workers cleaning rooms yelling back and forth to each other at 9 a.m. they do not clean your room while you are staying here. They empty your trash and change out Your towels only. The bed sits on some kind of metal platform, and when you sit down on it. It sounds like roaring thunder the first time I did it, it scared the crap out of me. This is a no-frills hotel and with the exception of them not cleaning it, it was fine. No bugs or anything. Hot water with good water pressure. Ten minutes from downtown savannah.

The only small thing was that we had to wait about 10 minutes for the man at the front desk to come back because he was helping someone else check in. Also, we didn’t put the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, so around 9:30 or so, housekeeping opened our door. But the man was very polite, so it wasn’t a big deal. Just in case, I recommend using the “Do Not Disturb” sign to avoid situations like that.

I have checked out of this Econo Lodge But the worst night was Tuesday, September 21, 2026, when the power went out for hours. No AC. No lights. 87 degrees inside the room.
What made it even worse is that this hotel openly segregated guests by race.
They have two clearly different sides of the building one rundown, one well-maintained. White guests were placed on the better side (Block 4). I was originally put on the worse side. When I went back to the front desk, I told the clerk that I would cancel my entire 7-night stay if he did not move me to the better side. He quickly made a phone call, hung up, and changed my room to Block 4.
That should tell you everything they knew exactly which side was better and they knew they were wrong.
On top of that, they run three different WiFi networks and segregate who gets the strong signal versus the weak one. Again, white guests got the best connection. Black guests got the worst.
The room itself was also unsafe. The safety lock on the door was broken off. And the door itself had to be lifted up in order for it to even lock.
When I asked the front desk for help during the power outage, they did not offer a refund or relocation. They simply left us in an uninhabitable, unsafe room with no power in summer heat and could not give an estimated time of when the power would be restored.

STAY AWAY….Photos are misleading and the facility is unsecured. Looks as if people are living at the facility. Made the mistake of trying to open the wrong room and was able to open the room. When we arrived to our room it was musty and the floor was coming up due to moisture. The place was in disrepair compared to the photo listed. We spent less than 10 minutes before retuning the room cards and leaving.

We decided to take a last minute trip. This location was close to where we wanted to go, and it was within a decent price range. We checked in late. The attendant wasn’t very friendly, but he wasn’t rude either. The room was okay. It looked like they were trying to renovate, but just patched some things up. For the most part it was fairly clean. The floor in the shower was a bit scary looking, and our hand soap was already open, but otherwise it was fairly clean. Also, the bed was not the most comfortable. Overall, I didn’t have an overly positive or negative experience here. You get what you pay for, so it served its intended purpose.

I booked this room for my son for his work trip. When he got there & checked in, he FaceTimed me and said…”uhm well the pictures online are not accurate”. He then walked around the room showing how filthy it was and did not even have a smoke detector as it had been removed. It was a room w/ a kitchenette. There was a gross drip like stain on the wall, lopsided drawer on a dresser, weird stain on the top of the comforter. The AC unit was disgusting, the latch on the door was broken and not secured. The door looked like it had been kicked and even though it closed fully it looked bent, I will be happy to share photos if I can. Do not stay here!!!

We did not know that this location was an Extended stay until when we were leaving. The doors were inside but when we went to enter the bldg and our floor, the doors were not locked. Instead of using our key card to access the bldg, we could just pull the door. There was no security.
People could cook in their rooms but my room didnt have any sprinkler heads nor was there a smoke detector.
There were holes in the wall and the door was bent as you could see where someone kicked the door or hit it real hard. The paint on the walls was peeling. There was no telephone or lamp. The plugs between the beds were not functional. We had to clean the tub before it could be used.
They gave us a new room but it reeked of weed and cigarette smoke. So we stayed with the initial room.

If you are looking for a decent place to sleep without spending a lot, this will do the job. For the price, it was clean, appliances in the room worked. There was an ironing board and iron, as well as a blow dryer. They offer a continental breakfast but we didn't take advantage of it, so I can not comment on that. Wifi is available but kept dropping off. Rooms are a bit dated. Overall, it worked for what we needed.

First of all, they will not refund me for the day I checked out early due to incoming inclement weather. The continental breakfast was as cheap as the room. The room was sparse. The bed was hard. Worth the money, convenient when you have a car
It was a good stay! For the amount of money i wanted to spend on, it was on point. It was comfortable enough, did not smell like smoke/cigarettes, bathroom was clean, 2 beds clean and towels. The front desk lady was nice when I checked in. Overall, it is a great place to sleep in and refresh. I also like that they have microwave, fridge (everything got frozen, I guess I had to adjust the temperature). The place is like 12-15mins drive to downtown Savannah where we wanted to go and probably 30minutes to Tybee Island. I highly recommend this place if you have a car and just looking for a place to stay.

No, no, no, no. Do not stay here. Pool was not open due to disrepair, entry door to building not secure, free breakfast was sparse and without hot items, room looked like a jail cell with one bright overhead light, metal bed frame, lose flooring, door was bent at the top and bottom, chair was filthy, stains and red spots on walls and ceiling, many, many people hanging around the parking lot.

Decent alternative to expensive downtown hotels
This is a decent budget property alternative to Savannah hotels. We've used it twice now when looking to do a last-minute weekend getaway to Savannah, and nothing was available downtown for less than $300 a night. The rooms are decent with minimal frills, but it's only a 5-minute, $10-15 Lyft ride into the historic district.

Over all the room had mold in tub and on ceiling looked like there was a water leak before and floors definitely were coming up. I only stayed one night for work but when i checked out i forgot a pair of my favorite sandals so i called to see if a maid has returned them and the lady couldn’t tell me over the phone and kept saying call back tomorrow so i came to hotel and they had an attitude about having to check the storage room for them. My shoes were returned but why souls a customer have so much trouble retrieving items that may have been left behind. It happens people leave things but you shouldn’t have an attitude about it just simply look in the list and found if it’s there cool if it’s not still cool but customer service was horrible

When you arrive the office is new but the rooms are in a different building. No elevators. It had strong scent orders. Looked like it may have been apartments prior and renovated into the hotel. Walls were dirty, room had a sour smell to it. And during the night there was banging all night if there were kids playing ball or something. It was ok for this trip cause we only stayed a few nights. But I would not come back again.
