The hotel was quite nice. The pool area was nice for the kids. I was a little disappointed that the large slide was closed unless someone went to the front desk to get someone to man it. There were multiple times when the pool are was quite busy that logically they should have had someone sitting there. But otherwise it was nice.

The pool was perfect for kids, there was a separate zero depth pool for small children and the other pool has a water slide and basketball for older kids. The arcade was nothing special. It just had the machines kids win little prizes from, and just two games. We ate in the restaurant twice and the food was great and staff was fantastic. The hotel was clean, our room recently updated and poolside which was convenient. Overall a great place.

I will never start here again. It was so noisy until at least midnight. Rogers area basketball players and families were incredibly rude and loud. Employee staff did nothing to control it. Parents, staff, coaches, and kids need to do better.

Room was okay. If I knew anything about this hotel prior to staying for 4 nights I would not have stayed. Having the water park inside the building was fine but the out of control children running the hallways all day and night drove us crazy. They were not watched by any adult. I bet Disneyland would have not allowed the kids to run free like they did. The ice machines were used as a toy for these kids. All hallways and stairways had ice cubes, apparently throwing them at each other.

We didn’t love the fact that majority of the rooms are facing the pool, which can be a bit loud at times even when the doors are closed. There was a bidet in the bathroom. That was a bit of a surprise not exactly used to that. Also, the tub was a bit worn down, but for the most part, the room was clean.

devestated as we had not got about an hour to enjoy the pool before they went up to the room to get ready for bed. I understand things happen that can’t be controlled, but I don’t think it’s fair to pair full price for a room we specifically got for something we could not use. I would appreciate some sort of compensation for this inconvenience please.

One thing did happen, though, my little girls got a very bad reaction to what I believe was your chlorine being too strong. This was a quick family trip away. The staff was very nice. The rooms were decent and clean. I really liked how spacious the pool area was with a lot of seating. The pool is only 3’ deep so not made for older kids/adults. The basketball hoops were fun and the waterslide was fun for young kids (9 or younger). The hot tub was more like a lukewarm bath and full of children. If you have younger kids this is a great place to stay.

We always enjoy this Holiday Inn. The rooms are comfortable, the service is great, and the rooms and pool area are very clean. The only suggestion, is there need to be Handicapped equipped door opening buttons. My husband needs a wheel chair at times, and it is difficult to get through all the doors without them. It is also dififcult manuvering with a full cart without buttons.

We paid for 2 included breakfast's for each morning on Hotels.com. The Hotel did not honor the breakfasts. When I asked about it the manager told me I shouldn’t have booked with hotels.com.
Short version - paid for 4 breakfasts which we didn’t get. Hotel said never book with Hotels.com. I probably won’t use Hotels.com or ever stay in that Holiday Inn again.

Check-in staff very friendly and helpful, hotel does not have a restaurant but they work with Rudy’s Redeye Grill for all meals. Kids eat free but kids menu is very limited, we had dinner and it was great, breakfast was ok, but slow service. Our room had stuffy smell, outlets in the bathroom are not working, i thought hair dryer was nor working, housekeeping brought a new one in really quick and the new one did not work in the bathroom either, then we checked the outlet by the TV and realized it was the outlet issue. Pool was very nice, kids had a blast. Great place for getting together and having kids playdate.

Everything was great! We were in town for a dance competition so the water park was a big hit with the kiddos. The only thing that upset me was that Friday nights rate was $250 and Saturdays was $319. When I made the reservation I had no idea there was a different rate for Saturday, that should be made clear so its not so much of a shock when you get the bill.

One of the best experiences we have had. We took the granddaughters ages 4 and 7 on a little spring break get away for 2 nights. Staff were very friendly rooms and common areas were very clean. The pool area was like a mini water park. Close to the outlet mall and Mall of America.

Booked a 2 queen room 2 months before. When we arrived I was told they overbooked at put us in a room with a king bed and a roll away bed for “no extra charge”. Me, my wife and 3 kids. So I had to ask for another roll away bed so 4 of us wouldn’t have to share 1 bed. Roll always were terrible. Floor was more compfort able. The blanket that provided zero warmth. When the beds were set up there was zero room to even walk around the room. Then at 3 am we all woke up to some sort of party gone wrong. Screaming, yelling ect. Cops finally showed up after about an hour. No rest. Terrible stay. Won’t be back.

This was a decent place for kids. I would say the \"free\" Breakfast was a joke!! For my 11 year old and me to have the breakfast buffet and 1 orange juice each it cost $25. So i wouldn't spend another dime in that place. For some reson there was a $7 room fee added to my bill as well. I guess i should have questioned this, but i was in a rush. Pretty disapointing!! Also the beds and bedding were very uncomfortable

Not Happy With Stay

When I was comparing \"apples to apples\" online I had weeded out all except for two or three. looking more in depth at there advertisement, pictures, prices and reviews I came to decide on this one. The Holiday Inn & Suites lakeville by IHG. The main deciding factor was the indoor water park verbiage in the description. After checking into the room and walking down to this water park I come to find out that it is nothing more than a very small pool with one water slide that I couldn't even access. After multiple visits to this so called water park we come to find out that the gate to enter was locked and no one was there. We went down multiple times and the results stayed the same. We stayed there for 3 days. Also the maids never came to the room to clean or exchange towels or replace the coffee. We had a balcony room overlooking the pool, we found out to late that it was loud with kids screaming and yelling as they played in this pool. We shut the sliding glass doors and pulled over the curtains but this did not help. So if you are looking for a hotel with a water park this is not it. If you are looking for a quiet room this is not it. Also if you are okay with seeking out the maids for towels and coffee as well as emptying your own trash, then this is the hotel for you!

I regret having to write this review about our recent Valentine's weekend stay. While this hotel has previously been an excellent family-friendly destination with great amenities and dining options, our most recent experience was unfortunately marred by concerning customer service interactions.

Our issues centered around interactions with an overnight staff member named Erica. There were multiple instances where the service fell well below expectations: first, during a pre-stay call to confirm our Expedia reservation, and later when requesting an extra blanket during our stay. Most troublingly, she hung up on my daughter during one of these interactions. Given the hotel's reputation for family hospitality and our room rate exceeding $250 per night, this level of service was particularly disappointing.

As frequent visitors to the Twin Cities area, we've always appreciated this hotel's family-oriented atmosphere and convenient amenities. However, the unprofessional and dismissive treatment we received has given us pause about future stays. While one staff member doesn't define an entire establishment, customer service is crucial in the hospitality industry.

I would strongly encourage management to address this situation through additional training or other appropriate measures. The area has many family-friendly accommodation options, and we hope this feedback helps maintain the high standards we've previously experienced at this location.

It's an okay hotel but every time we go, our kids get rashes from swimming and it's not like we live in the pool all day. We go twice for about 45-60 mins each time and they're covered in a rash. We stayed from Wednesday to Friday and had two poolside rooms and were the ONLY people there. They had a luncheon set up on Thursday and had it directly outside our rooms when the pool area had so many other options for this! We had 5 kids with us and couldn't even sit outside our poolside room with this lunch they had going on. My 2 year old was napping and was woken up because they were tearing the lunch down and being very loud! Not too impressed with them during this stay. Will check out other hotels next time.

The two familes who checked in before us were able to get rooms together. We were not; although there was an empty room next to them when we checked in. Same exact room. They easily could have put us together.

We liked the waterpark. It was good for school aged children. Supervision was up to parents, though, and a lot of kids had no real supervision. We lost some earbuts and had to move the couch to look. Big mistake! It was disgusting. Also, we had to pick up around the pool area to find a place to sit. Some kids took all our towels and none were available until later. Just some issues wit supercision and cleanliness, but still worth the stay.

Would not recommend this hotel to anybody. From the first night we were there one employee targeted my family. My daughter was there to celebrate her 6th birthday. However the lady that helped in the pool area was rude and disrespectful. She targeted my daughter by being racist and mocking my disabled child. We ended up leaving a day early.
