The room was very humid despite turning down the air. The air worked just never removed the humidity. The room was also very dark but we did have the indie room looking over the indoor pool area.
Heather
The pool was very cold!
Amanda
Staff was amazing!

I would highly recommend this hotel for a couple getaway or just to take the kids out for the weekend! The front desk staff are phenomenal and the hotel itself is spotless! They also have a bar and restaurant connected to the hotel which is adult and kid friendly, not to mention the hot top kiddie pool and regular pool. I will be back I got a suite last time I would like to book a room with a jetted tub next 😄
Josh
The front desk staff was wonderful, very helpful and pleasant. The pool area was great, kiddos loved the slide. Room smelled pretty musty and hotel was loud (as expected) on a Saturday night.
Sharon
The hot tub was huge and nice and warm. Water slide for kids. Rooms clean. Staff kind and friendly.
Joan
Room was clean, pool area is great for kids and adults. If you don’t want the noise of the pool area they have many rooms that are quieter
Terry
The room and bathroom were both clean.
VICTORIA
We did not use the pool. We had a very comfortable stay
Maria
The hotel was quite nice. The pool area was nice for the kids. I was a little disappointed that the large slide was closed unless someone went to the front desk to get someone to man it. There were multiple times when the pool are was quite busy that logically they should have had someone sitting there. But otherwise it was nice.
Robert Joseph
Great service.
Tennille
It was a very relaxing and peaceful stay
Kylie
Hot tub a little over filled,
pool was cold (mostly for 5 and under)

The water park was the only reason we came to the hotel and wasn’t enough for us to visit again. The staff was lovely, but the rooms were small and
Sigrid
The pool was perfect for kids, there was a separate zero depth pool for small children and the other pool has a water slide and basketball for older kids. The arcade was nothing special. It just had the machines kids win little prizes from, and just two games. We ate in the restaurant twice and the food was great and staff was fantastic. The hotel was clean, our room recently updated and poolside which was convenient. Overall a great place.
William
Outside of rooms smelled like chlorine, basic hotel. I would not stay there again unless I had to for business. Probably good for kids.

We loved it! The kids had so much fun. We will be back.
Dee
We enjoyed out stay. My grandchildren enjoyed the pool area. Beds were comfortable
Crystal
nice hotel

I will never start here again. It was so noisy until at least midnight. Rogers area basketball players and families were incredibly rude and loud. Employee staff did nothing to control it. Parents, staff, coaches, and kids need to do better.

Great room
Christina
Room was clean, staff was super kind, helpful:)

Our room was freezing. The heat didn’t work. It was 51 degrees the entire time.
Connie
Very clean
Karen
Room was spotless, staff was amazing and pool was perfect !
Karen
Room was great, pool area and staff were incredible!
Terri
Room was okay. If I knew anything about this hotel prior to staying for 4 nights I would not have stayed. Having the water park inside the building was fine but the out of control children running the hallways all day and night drove us crazy. They were not watched by any adult. I bet Disneyland would have not allowed the kids to run free like they did. The ice machines were used as a toy for these kids. All hallways and stairways had ice cubes, apparently throwing them at each other.

We didn’t love the fact that majority of the rooms are facing the pool, which can be a bit loud at times even when the doors are closed. There was a bidet in the bathroom. That was a bit of a surprise not exactly used to that. Also, the tub was a bit worn down, but for the most part, the room was clean.
Courtney
Was a great stay. Just was a little louf on the first floor & by the pool. But was an excellent stay
Robert
The pool was fun and the hotel was nice and clean. Staff was very friendly.
Stephanie
The pool was great, my kids had a nice time swimming. They also had a cute arcade. Staff was friendly.

Clean rooms. During the week was quiet, had the pool mostly to ourselves with most swimmers arriving on Friday.
ryan
devestated as we had not got about an hour to enjoy the pool before they went up to the room to get ready for bed. I understand things happen that can’t be controlled, but I don’t think it’s fair to pair full price for a room we specifically got for something we could not use. I would appreciate some sort of compensation for this inconvenience please.
Thank you for your time.

Kind staff.
James
The room was dirty and the pool smelled really strong. There were toddlers in hot tub with just diapers on and the water stunk and was foaming.
Kathleen
Nice, clean rooms. Very fun pool area, with separate features for littles, bigs, and loungers. Helpful staff! We were there for a 5 year old's birthday party. A good time was had by all!
Belinda
Loved the service and pool area. The kids had a ball.
Craig
Everything was great
Robyn
Pool was Great for the Kiddo's, i used jetted hot tub which was very relaxing, plenty of pool towels. Staff was excellent!
CHERYL
We loved our stay and the kids had a great time! Very nice place and very friendly staff! One thing did happen, though, my little girls got a very bad reaction to what I believe was your chlorine being too strong. We also have a pool in our yard and that’s never happened before so you might want to check that! Otherwise, we will be back soon. Thank - you!
Paige
My kid enjoyed the pool area and gaming area. The restaurant that's connected to the hotel could use some improvement. Overall we enjoyed the hotel and will plan on staying again when in the area.
Kari
This was a quick family trip away. The staff was very nice. The rooms were decent and clean. I really liked how spacious the pool area was with a lot of seating. The pool is only 3’ deep so not made for older kids/adults. The basketball hoops were fun and the waterslide was fun for young kids (9 or younger). The hot tub was more like a lukewarm bath and full of children. If you have younger kids this is a great place to stay.
ELIZABETH
We always enjoy this Holiday Inn. The rooms are comfortable, the service is great, and the rooms and pool area are very clean. The only suggestion, is there need to be Handicapped equipped door opening buttons. My husband needs a wheel chair at times, and it is difficult to get through all the doors without them. It is also dififcult manuvering with a full cart without buttons.

Friendly staff
Daniel
Nothing special. It was a clean, comfortable stay.
Kathy
Very restful and clean!
Sven-Christian
Excellent pool area, also for smaller kids. The staff was friendly, and the breakfast was one of the better ones we had in the USA.
Michelle
the staff and management went out of their way to keep us happy.
Kristy
We loved the pool but some of the kiddie pool poles were rusted and out of date
Jeffrey
Always one of the best places I’ve stayed.

The front desk staff were very professional and courteous. The room and pool area was clean. I also liked the lighted trees around the pool.
Tiffany

Great service-forgot my iPods and they helped secure them in room and facilitate sending them back to me across the country.
Elle
The pool was great!!
Stephani
Friendly staff, clean environment
Tracy
Very clean, quiet and great location.
ANGELA
Designated tables for the rooms by the pool would be nice
Nick
Pillows were only complaint but that’s pretty standard for hotels.
Christopher
I appreciated the option for kids to eat free at the attached “Ruby’s Red Eye” restaurant
Mary
I had no room upon checkin
Leticia
Love the swing area. Great for small children!
Kristin
Excellent pool area for kids and attached restaurant was nice

Bad Experience
We paid for 2 included breakfast's for each morning on Hotels.com. The Hotel did not honor the breakfasts. When I asked about it the manager told me I shouldn’t have booked with hotels.com.
Short version - paid for 4 breakfasts which we didn’t get. Hotel said never book with Hotels.com. I probably won’t use Hotels.com or ever stay in that Holiday Inn again.

The hotel is really clean and staff is awesome 10/10 we have stayed here a few times now !!! Love it
Kristen
The elevator was inconveniently located and carrying suitcases upstairs is not preferred.
Laurel
We loved it except we had no outlet in the bathroom and no electricity in the 2nd bedroom. I had to borrow a hairdryer the maintenance man used to defrost frozen freezers.
Beverly
I haven’t seen much yet but is clean
Catherine
Stayed here for grandsons' birthday party. The pool area was great for the littles and adults alike.
Katie
Water slide was down and its super spendy not to have stuff in working order.
ayana
Wonderful place to stay..
Alena
Check-in staff very friendly and helpful, hotel does not have a restaurant but they work with Rudy’s Redeye Grill for all meals. Kids eat free but kids menu is very limited, we had dinner and it was great, breakfast was ok, but slow service. Our room had stuffy smell, outlets in the bathroom are not working, i thought hair dryer was nor working, housekeeping brought a new one in really quick and the new one did not work in the bathroom either, then we checked the outlet by the TV and realized it was the outlet issue. Pool was very nice, kids had a blast. Great place for getting together and having kids playdate.
Joseph
Super friendly guy.
Rachel
Hotel was nice, loved the pool and pool seating area. Tristan was great during check in. The only downfall was the cleanliness of the bathroom. Upon arrival there were feces on the toilet bowl and stains on the shower curtain.
Food from the restaurant was great!
Food from the restaurant was great!

Everything was great! We were in town for a dance competition so the water park was a big hit with the kiddos. The only thing that upset me was that Friday nights rate was $250 and Saturdays was $319. When I made the reservation I had no idea there was a different rate for Saturday, that should be made clear so its not so much of a shock when you get the bill.
isaac
We loved it all it was nice
Dmitrij
Definitely come back! Will recommend it to friends and family
Ryan
Loud music persisted through the early morning hours.
Faris
This was a great hotel for a family trip. The kids loved the waterpark, arcade and restaurant. We appreciated the option to bring our dog. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. We had no complaints.
david
Fun pool
Jordan
Great place for a get away for families
Pamela
The staff was very nice, food was good. Great place to stay. Very kid friendly
Marie
Quick get away
One of the best experiences we have had. We took the granddaughters ages 4 and 7 on a little spring break get away for 2 nights. Staff were very friendly rooms and common areas were very clean. The pool area was like a mini water park. Close to the outlet mall and Mall of America.
Jennifer
Poor food options. Connected to an icky restaurant. Pool is only for little kids.
Salida
Staff was wonderful. Rooms were clean. My only complaint would be that the pool water was too cold for my kiddos.
james
Booked a 2 queen room 2 months before. When we arrived I was told they overbooked at put us in a room with a king bed and a roll away bed for “no extra charge”. Me, my wife and 3 kids. So I had to ask for another roll away bed so 4 of us wouldn’t have to share 1 bed. Roll always were terrible. Floor was more compfort able. The blanket that provided zero warmth. When the beds were set up there was zero room to even walk around the room. Then at 3 am we all woke up to some sort of party gone wrong. Screaming, yelling ect. Cops finally showed up after about an hour. No rest. Terrible stay. Won’t be back.
Pete
Our favorite hotel.

This was a decent place for kids. I would say the \"free\" Breakfast was a joke!! For my 11 year old and me to have the breakfast buffet and 1 orange juice each it cost $25. So i wouldn't spend another dime in that place. For some reson there was a $7 room fee added to my bill as well. I guess i should have questioned this, but i was in a rush. Pretty disapointing!! Also the beds and bedding were very uncomfortable
Neil
Great find
Older property that is well-maintained, clean, comfortable, and functional. Entertainment for kids can't be over-estimated. Highly recommend.
Amanda
My kids loved it!
kristina
We were on the front floor facing the pool area and it was extremely loud until eleven pm. Woke up by eight the next dayby the people at the pool. We spoke to someone at the front desk and apparently the rooms were sold out for weekend. He didnt ofter any other suggestions
TERI
Great pool area for the kids
Shannon
I’m the property was sold out during our stay. We had a poolside room and the pool was an absolute mad house. We knew it would be wild has it’s a water park but it was absolutely atrocious with the lack of parent awareness of their kids.

Not Happy With Stay
When I was comparing \"apples to apples\" online I had weeded out all except for two or three. looking more in depth at there advertisement, pictures, prices and reviews I came to decide on this one. The Holiday Inn & Suites lakeville by IHG. The main deciding factor was the indoor water park verbiage in the description. After checking into the room and walking down to this water park I come to find out that it is nothing more than a very small pool with one water slide that I couldn't even access. After multiple visits to this so called water park we come to find out that the gate to enter was locked and no one was there. We went down multiple times and the results stayed the same. We stayed there for 3 days. Also the maids never came to the room to clean or exchange towels or replace the coffee. We had a balcony room overlooking the pool, we found out to late that it was loud with kids screaming and yelling as they played in this pool. We shut the sliding glass doors and pulled over the curtains but this did not help. So if you are looking for a hotel with a water park this is not it. If you are looking for a quiet room this is not it. Also if you are okay with seeking out the maids for towels and coffee as well as emptying your own trash, then this is the hotel for you!

I regret having to write this review about our recent Valentine's weekend stay. While this hotel has previously been an excellent family-friendly destination with great amenities and dining options, our most recent experience was unfortunately marred by concerning customer service interactions.
Our issues centered around interactions with an overnight staff member named Erica. There were multiple instances where the service fell well below expectations: first, during a pre-stay call to confirm our Expedia reservation, and later when requesting an extra blanket during our stay. Most troublingly, she hung up on my daughter during one of these interactions. Given the hotel's reputation for family hospitality and our room rate exceeding $250 per night, this level of service was particularly disappointing.
As frequent visitors to the Twin Cities area, we've always appreciated this hotel's family-oriented atmosphere and convenient amenities. However, the unprofessional and dismissive treatment we received has given us pause about future stays. While one staff member doesn't define an entire establishment, customer service is crucial in the hospitality industry.
I would strongly encourage management to address this situation through additional training or other appropriate measures. The area has many family-friendly accommodation options, and we hope this feedback helps maintain the high standards we've previously experienced at this location.
