The hot tub was not working. The image on Expedia is not the actual hotel. The hotel is clean but very outdated. It was quite dark in there as there were no lights on in the lobby/breakfast area. There is also no elevator in this building.

The breakfast was good. Could do better with the coffee availability. I was told coffee was available 24/7 and it wasn’t and when I asked about I was just told it was out. No one ever refilled it until breakfast time. The bathroom needed so attention. The toilet seat was coming off and part of the molding around the tube was peeling off. Other than that it was a pretty good place for a two day stay.

The bathroom was pretty dirty. The vent was filthy. The worst part was the noise from outside the hotel. Very loud. Didn't fall asleep til 0600 and woke up at 0900. I'll pass on this place next time.

The hot tub was broken, and that’s why we booked the room. After finding out another guest had a whirlpool suit we asked if that could be a possibility for us to get a whirlpool room because the broken hot tub was needed for a bad back injury. The front desk person first told us to cancel our reservation and go somewhere else and go through the cancellation process to get our money back. After some conversation he agreed to move us to a whirlpool room with sofa couch. That sofa couch (which was needed for sleeping) was disguising. It has urine soaked bedding on it, it had old dirty socks, candy, crumbs, and garbage all stuffed under the top cushions. After bringing it to the attention of staff all they did was wipe it out and put clean sheets on it. But the sofa remains to smell like urine and they still expected us to use it as a bed. Again we asked for a different sofa bed so it could be used for sleeping and we were Told that they put new sheets on it “what more do you want”. How about something that wasn’t soaked in urine. Finally they suggested that we move to a new room. When entering the new (3rd) room we are hit in the face with a chemical smell! Not sure if it was for bugs, or to cut the cigarette smoke smell coming from the bathroom/ vanity area. After the attitude we received over the sofa couch it was was not worth the energy to report this issue again. Hot tub, the main reason for us staying in a hotel with a pool and hot tub, was not working so that was disappointing.

Room was clean but you can tell is aging. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special.

The staff were very nice! The room was needed some work. The bathroom door would not stay shut. There is chiping paint in the bathroom. The bed was very uncomfortable and sunk in the middle. The water in the hot tub was luke warm and the restroom door in the pool area would not lock.

Desk person who was there when we first arrived wasn't very pleasant. We were offered early check in and took it for $25.00, but it really wasn't an option. I have no complaints with the staff. The room wasn't great. It had the loudest heater I've heard and it made it hard to sleep. Shower floor creaked and sounded like I was going to fall through. Bathroom ceiling showed signs of age and mildew.

Check in was easy and staff are nice. However, this hotel needs A LOT of updating. Door frames are rusted, paint is chipped or not finished, the tub was patched and the toilet was missing a cap.
In addition, I went to use the provided hair conditioner and it was half empty! Are they reusing the products???

For location it was a good option to be on the south side or outskirts of the Twin Cities. Staff contact was minimal with pre-check in completed on my phone. The room was dated and bathroom was small. The bathroom needs some work as the toilet paper roll holder was falling out of the wall.and you could see where there was water damage along the side of the shower that had been patched and the vent above the shower was rusty.The room was clean though. I didn't use the pool/hot tub area. The continental breakfast offered good food options.

Dark and run down is the general vibe at The Baymont. From tvs and keycards not working to gross scratchy, pilled sheets and the lumpiest pillows you’ve ever had the pleasure to rest your head on, this place has it all. And how can I forget the stained, broken pack n play that smelled so bad I couldn’t breathe.

But! For as old as it was, it was clean. The breakfast was pretty edible and the staff seemed helpful.

It was good enough for the two nights we stayed.

I had a very good experience at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and everything was well kept. The front desk worker who checked me in was especially helpful—he quickly exchanged my change for dollar bills when the vending machine wasn’t cooperating, and he even checked on the outside lock scanner to make sure everything was working properly. I really appreciated the extra effort and friendly service.

They made us feel like they were glad we were there! I received a couple of welcoming texts, asking us to let them know if we needed anything. We got room service every day! That hasn't happened since Covid! Room was clean and in good repair. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

This hotel served the purpose we needed it to, which was a place to shower and lay our heads after a day on our motorcycle. It was safe and the beds were comfy enough. Overall it was clean but it definitely needs some TLC and/or updates. The pool area felt like a sauna and the hot tub only has two or three jets working.

The bathroom was gross; ceiling tiles were stained and missing pieces of trim around bathroom floor. The fridge looked like it was from 1970 and the room smelled horrible. The hot tub & pool area was poorly lit and was dirty. Food and wrappers all over the floor. Will probably not stay there again.

My adult daughter and I planned a quick 2 night trip to Mall of America which is only 15 minutes away from the hotel.

I loved the friendliness of the staff. It was right next to Cracker Barrel, so that was nice too.
The A/C worked great too.
On the con side it could use an update for example the paint can use an update in the bathroom.
I would stay here again, we felt safe and welcomed.
PS if you are short like me (5’1”) the beds in our room are high. I travel with a little step for beds like this.

We were not expecting to see plastic taped to the carpets. Seemed a little more run down than the images on the website. Hot tub did not work and pool hours were different than the website. We had a wonderful stay. We were able to check in early and the front desk gentleman was very friendly. Rooms were very clean, the lobby area was very welcoming. We used the pool and hot tub and were pleasantly surprised at how warm the pool was. We were able to enjoy that a couple of times during our stay. We are visiting the area again in a month and plan to stay here at that time.

We had an amazing trip & every staff member we interacted with was so very helpful! There was what appeared to be candle wax melted on the bedspread- it did not affecf us at all. The linens, blankets & towels all smelled clean, just somehow made it through the wash. We did not have a bedding bundle in the room for the pull out bed, but that was easily corrected! Hotel overall was a great value for our trip! We will definitely stay again!! (My son wanted to add his only recommendation- please get some hot sauce for the breakfast condiments 😊

We are torn over this hotel. The staff were very helpful, and quick to serve. The pool was absolutely heavenly, it was the warmest pool we have ever swam in. Pool towels were always readily available. Our room was quite clean.
The room part seem to have been recently renovated, furniture was relatively new, fresh paint. But the bathroom was extremely aged, not just in looks, but in function, the door handle was falling off and the bathroom door was so warped you could hardly close it. You can see where they literally screwed into the door to try and keep it together. Sheets had worn spots where you could literally see through it. So, there was the good and the bad.

Nice and reasonable price in a quiet area.

Some of the carpet is older and tattered but they are renovating some rooms so I expect more improvements also. Cool to see my closest rooms being renovated so we knew it would be quiet. Nice quiet lobby to sit and read and crochet in the morning while my husband sleeps in. No obnoxious TV blaring with CNN like so many hotels these days. Early morning is enjoyably quiet, just hearing the sounds of breakfast being made. Cozy chairs to relax in, wish the fire place was turned on but still very nice. Will likely stay again, see how the new rooms turn out and maybe bring grandkids to use the pool.

Too close to freeway for me, my maps showed it quite a ways off. The room was clean but there was a 1 foot square plaster cut out by the sink that hadn’t been patched, molding was coming apart around the tub, door frame to bathroom in desperate need of paint, construction material was in the hall and heat was off on arrival.

You get what u pay for.

Horrible sounds coming from the heater in the room no matter what setting I had it on. I had to shut it off completely. Also the smell of chemicals was very overwhelming. Carpet is very stained. Actual carpet shredding as you go up the stairs. You get what you pay for people but this was bad. I didn’t pay for bad.
