Room was okay. The air conditioning is so loud it kept waking us up whenever it kicked in. Their free breakfast is the worst breakfast I’ve seen at a hotel. Most of the food was cold, old, and hard. We had two rooms, one of them had red stuff splattered on the ceiling. The beds in the room are so stiff, there is absolutely nothing to them. On top, the $10 a night per car to park at the hotel is absurd.

The positives were easily the staff. Everyone we encountered was fantastic! The shuttle to the MoA was great too! It’s conveniently located around a lot of stuff to do as well.

We stayed for 4 days and for 3 of those days the wifi didn’t work the phones didn’t work the TVs didn’t work and you have to use your phone in the lobby or outside. There was no cleaning done past the first day and even when we had no towels I asked for some and was told by a cleaning woman who took the towels to go ask the front desk. When going down to the front no one was present so I just bought some from Walmart.

Catering to the traveling public you would think that they would want to make sure that breakfast was served for early departures. A simple cold breakfast would be enough like a protein bar or something similar that could be picked up for example at 0400. Otherwise, this is a good place to stay.

The chairs on the patio out front are awful. When you sit on them you sink almost to the ground. I am in my late 70’s and have a cast on my leg. I sunk so much two other guests had to help me up. I stay there at least once a year for the past five years. The chairs get worse each year.

Overall, the room and property were clean and as expected for a typical two-bedroom—nothing flashy, but comfortable enough.

A few issues stood out:
•The $10 self-parking fee wasn’t disclosed until after we arrived.
•The pool area was extremely over-chlorinated—strong enough to irritate the eyes even without getting in the water.
•Shower water pressure was very low, making it difficult to rinse properly.
•The blankets were too small for the bed, which made for an uncomfortable night.

Breakfast was decent but poorly organized, with the layout creating a bottleneck—especially around the waffle station.

Overall, improving the water pressure and providing appropriately sized blankets would go a long way toward a better stay.

We had stayed there 2 times prior and so before I booked for the 3rd time, I called and made sure there was a shuttle to the airport. I told the woman that answered that we need a 330am shuttle. She responded stating it was upon request when we checked in. So when we checked in I advised her we needed a 330am airport shuttle, just like we have before and the lady looked at me and said it starts at 5am. I said that wasn't what I was told or I would have never had booked with them again, she said well it starts at 5am. So in a panic we had to find another hotel as our family was standing there with zero assistance from the front desk. No access to the hotel Internet and no service. Luckily the Hyatt Regency for more money was willing to work with us last minute and provided a 330am shuttle to the airport after a $15 Uber ride. Very very disappointed in Hilton.

The check in process was fine, however from there it was pitiful and disappointing. Our room was ok, but only 3 towels for 2 adults and the bed was way too soft and saggy. The soap and shower products smelled fabulous and were wonderful. Now the horrible, unacceptable and completely alarming part of our stay. We were sleeping and we hear loud banging on drums and bullhorn with yelling outside. The topic of protest was not the issue, because everyone has a right to speak up. It was the noise, length of time allowed to continue and the uncertainty of our and our son's safety and the dismissiveness. We went out early and dropped one of our party members at the airport and came back where the parking lot was slush covered with inches of water puddles throughout. My shoes were wet and so when we got back to our room, now our floor in our room was wet wherever we walked. This was by far unacceptable and when my husband mentioned the horrible walkway into the hotel, they were dismissive, so he also mentioned that he used to do that for a living.

We checked in after 9pm and checked out before 11am so all of this occurred in less than 14 hours. When we exited the building and checked out, there was a male (maintenance type of employee) and a female supervisor/lead at the front desk. The female was the same rude employee who was dismissive regarding the unsafe parking conditions. She was unapologetic and didn't even say goodbye, not qualities for hospitality front desk staff.

Staff was great and extremely friendly, the room was clean, but had a few insects (not lady bugs, but similar in size) visible on the ceiling, bathroom and bed with most over on the shade and by the window (possible source of entry?). They didn't bother us, but just pointing it out for transparency. As far as breakfast, the automatic pancake maker resulted in very chewy pancakes and the orange juice tasted awful, everything else was good. We can't say enough about being able to walk across the street to The Mall of America and the convenience of the shuttle picking us up from the airport.
