The bathroom has no fan so it had a musty smell and I had forgotten a very expensive piece of family jewelry in the room and called about an hour and a half after we checked out at 645 when we realized we forgot it in the bathroom and they reported they never found the item and we know 100% we forgot it there...I wouldn't trust the housekeeping

This hotel is dated and the price reflects that. Our room was on the 2nd floor-it smelled like it was a smoking floor when we stepped off of the elevator. The smell did not carry into our room. I did have to wear shoes in our room as there was a spot on the carpet that appeared “sticky” . We were only staying for one night- so it wasn’t necessary to request a room change. We did attempt to have breakfast but when we went down to the breakfast area everything was empty. To be fair we went down with only 15 minutes to spare, So they may quit refilling items at a certain time to avoid waste. The staff at check in were friendly and efficient. Overall the stay was “fine” but it is unlikely that I will stay at this hotel again.

The van and breakfast was good. Some of the front office staff were friendly and helpful. Most of the other staff were NOT helpful at all. We stayed Friday to Monday and never got our room service. Trash was line up outside of the rooms, trash out in the courtyard area all weekend longs, no correct towels when asking staff (we got hand towel in place of waah cloth), and old building needs alot of work.

Do not stay here. The hotel was filthy. Visible dirt piles in the corner of the bathroom, black handprints on the wall, drawers were disgusting and unusable, hair all over the shower, and the fridge froze all of our items so we had to throw them. Even the matting on the art work was stained and gross. I didn’t mind that the hotel was old. I did mind that it was gross. They gave us two towels for two adults staying 4 nights. No maid service at all while there. I left my scheduled entertainment early and went back to the hotel because I got sick. I called the front to ask if they could bring up more towels and wash clothes (because they only gave us two), they refused. Considered committing a crime to stay in the Hennepin County jail instead. Likely cleaner with better amenities.

What is not mentioned is this is an extended stay hotel. I typically tend to avoid these, as there tends to be people hanging around all the time. The best thing about this hotel is the front end staff, who are extremely friendly. There is a remodel going on, which is desperately needed. We were on the 2nd floor, the hallway and room smelled terribly of stale cigarettes. The room itself had no thermostat control, just ac on/off. The idea of soundproof is gone, I heard car horns, airplanes, and street traffic all night. The blackout drapes, not there. It was daylight in the room once the sun rose. The bathroom had stains from water dripping , there was water pressure but the shower head itself only put out 3 streams, one of which went sideways and out onto the floor. The front of the bathroom vanity had toothpaste stains on it as did the back of the door. When it came time for breakfast, it was served down a hallway thru the pool room on an attached area. As is with all indoor pools, it was hot and humid. Breakfast consisted of Belgian waffles, sausage patties and egg circles. I would not stay here again.

The hotel had a great pool, it was clean, breakfast was limited not much variety of food. Hotel is a bit outdated but under a lot of construction. But the worst part which was what got our attention to book this hotel was the shuttle. Drop offs and pick ups are very inconsistent. Communication is not clear on where you can get a shuttle to go anywhere. Staff was helpful very had to get a hold of them at the desk.

Very helpful staff the manger has been working with me now for a few weeks I've been here. I haven't had any complaints other then the fact. That all the staff including the hospitality, front desk staff and all the maids and the maintenance man and the hotel manager. Have been so very kind to myself and my wife. They have been so very helpfull understanding and compassionate to myself and my Darling Wifey. As we have been staying here now for a few weeks. It's been very STRESSFUL AS WE ARE LIVING DAY TO DAY SOMETIMES AND EVEN THO WE ARE FACING EXTREME STRESS AND FEAR OF BEING HOMELESS. AS SOMETIMES IT TAKES A HOUR OR MORE TO FIND THE FUNDS TO MAKE THE BOOKING FOR OUR ROOM. BUT THE MANGER AND ALL THE STAFF HAVE BEEN VERY ACCOMMODATING AND HAVE WORKED WITH MY FAMILY. SO I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE A PAUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE BEAUTIFUL AND VERY REFLECTION OF WHAT YOUR EXPECTATIONS WOULD BE IN REGARDS TO. THE STAFF HERE TRULY ARE THE GOLD STANDERS OF WHAT EVERY HOTEL AND HOSPITALITY EMPLOYEES SHOULD REFLECT THESE EMPLOYEES HERE AT THE COMFORT INN BLOOMINGTON. I truly would like to say that all the staff here have been so friendly kind understanding and passionate and showen even compassion to. They had some construction going on when we stayed that caused some noise in the morning hours but we were traveling every day so didn’t cause any issues for us! The beds were very comfortable! Sleep well! They were remodeling the property during our stay as well so some rooms were upgraded and some still needed attention! All in all a very good stay! We were there 5 days.

The room was clean but I saw large clumps of hair behind the dresser with the TV on top of it. Staff was friendly and accomodating. I didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on that. However the coffee in the room was good as long as I used the liquid creamer from the lobby. The powdered stuff wasn't good at all. Bring your own washcloth and ask for liquid creamer if that's your thing. There's only powdered creamer in the room. The airport shuttle was easy to set up. Call the front desk and give them your cell number. They will send you a link to click on once you've landed. The recording on the hotel phone suggests a website but it's barely clear enough to understand the name of the link...dragme...dropme...I have no idea so I hung up and called back to get a live person. They need to rerecord it and speak slowly spelling out the link.

This hotel is very tired. My room was clean, but really needed a deep cleaning. For the price I guess you could look past some of the issues of an older hotel. The staff was great, very efficient and friendly. The free breakfast was good, nice variety with the bonus of eggs and sausage which you don’t normally see with free breakfast. At least that area was in good shape. The indoor pool was nice, but they were doing some remodeling. Wi-Fi worked well and had no problems with it. The outside grounds and parking lot were much to be desired, the grounds were unkept and the parking lot was terribly. But like I said before for the price you can look past these problems.

I took my daughter and her friend from 3 hrs. away to visit the cities - it was her 18th birthday. I booked this hotel specifically for the pool and the proximity to the mall. I asked about pool hours on the phone before even checking in and asked about the location of the pool upon check-in. At NO POINT was there a mention of the pool being out of commission. After it was discovered it was closed (the sign said for the day, which is doubtful) I called the front desk. She said she just got there and would call me back. Never called back. Later I went down to ask for another towel and washcloth and was told there were no more washcloths, only hand towels. Not impressed. Hotels should have to refund a good portion of the payment if their amenities are OUT OF ORDER. No penalty for this practice is completely unacceptable.

I booked this hotel due to its proximity to the airport and availability of an airport shuttle, as I’m sure many people do. I scheduled my airport shuttle the night before my flight when I checked in and was told to be there 10 minutes early. I was, and the driver never showed up, leaving about a dozen of us without a ride and forcing us to pay for individual Ubers to make our flights on time.

Decent and simple stay. I mainly got a hotel because I needed to be closer to the airport, therefore I picked this one. Pricing I thought was a little high but understandable considering it was only 10 mins away from the airport. The amenities were good, fine. Some stuff you can see needed to be replaced, but not dirty. Bed was comfy, checked mattress which was clean. As a bonus, they have a shuttle that can actually take you to the airport. The front was nicely setup. Again, simple but very decent, I was comfortable.

The only thing I'd change is the breakfeast time. Six AM is crazy haha.
