The hotel was clean, the room was spacious and we were surprised that by having a balcony room overlooking the pool how quiet it was. As it is a very busy hotel I must commend the staff looking after the complimentary breakfast area, they kept ontop of ensuring food was readily available. It was disappointing that the hot tub was out of service.

Staff was very friendly and courteous! Breakfast was free and contained of: cereal, bagels, toast, muffins, milk, etc. there is also a Starbucks in the breakfast area. The workout room/gym was closed as they are doing construction (had proper notices up about it - apologizing for the mess) and the hot tub was down but the kids still had fun enjoying the big pool and kid play area. Rooms were very clean and stayed very cool through the night with 5 of us occupying. The mall is very close. 2 min drive (we parked in LL Bean) or can walk/shuttle. Parking was never a problem either, many open spots. We truly enjoyed our stay and would go back!

We stayed in a king suite and loved the room. The hot tub was broken during our stay and were disappointed because that was a main point of our selection for the hotel. Our room was very clean and great layout was great but the ductless a/c fan blew down on us all night and froze out my wife. Will still go back again once the hot tub is fixed

The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and professional. The breakfast was great with a full spread, eggs, sausage, potatoes, etc. Walking distance from the Mall of America. The indoor swimming pools were great, especially the kiddy pool area. We have a 4 year old and a two year old, and the kiddy pool was amazing. It was very large with a beach entry, water slide, mushroom spray water fountain and several other water features with the deepest area only being 2 ft. Great for entering the littles and wearing them out safely and without any extra cost.

The pool is obviously a draw when you have kids however, it is very crowded. When we used the pool there were no towels available. The fitness center does not exist currently even though it was advertised. The hot tub was being worked on but they did notify us of that which is as nice. Front desk staff was quiet and flat. The room was pretty dirty. We had gum wrappers on our floor and we do not chew gum. Toliet and bathroom was not clean. We stayed for one night and it was fine but I am sure there are better accommodations. Pool was cool for the kids. Breakfast was good.

I have stayed at this hotel many times, and I generally really love this hotel. The pool is fantastic for little ones and the location is fantastic. However, the last time we stayed I was so disappointed in how dirty the common areas were. I am hoping this was a temporary staffing issue as the floors in the hallways were visibily soiled with lots of dirt and debris small scraps of garbage all over. The pool area was also super dirty, lots of small pieces of garbage all over the pool deck and large gobs of hair and lint floating in the big pool. The table area by the pool was also filthy. Garbage and crumbs everywhere and dirty couches. Our room was very clean though, so that was great.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel pending they get it up par again from a cleanliness standpoint.

The staff gave conflicting information and weren’t all that friendly or helpful at times.
For instance, we were not told at check-in that the rooms are serviced every 3 days or, you had to call and request. We found out when we returned to the hotel after being out all day and the room was not cleaned. We spoke to the Manager and he said he would take care of it but again, no one showed up to clean! We were able to get towels for our rooms and sign up for the following day. That was the perfect opportunity to tell us their policy but, not a word we inquired again! Communication is horrible!

There were more people that didn't have wristband than those who did. Rooms were ok. We went with friends and between the 2 rooms things were empty or missing. No cups, shampoo, conditioner, body soap pumps were empty. The continental breakfast was mediocre at best. There are a lot of things that could definitely be improved for the price. Halfway through eating, a different staff (manager?) told us we weren’t allowed to eat there and we needed to move everyone to the pool area now. MN food regulations- okay… he was very rude about it. We did like the hotel. Th kids pool was warm enough to use, it was j or, and not tub was nice.

I would give it 4’oit of 5.

However , th kids pool was very dirty. The top layer of tile ALL AROUND the entire kids pool was caked/encrusted with black scum. It was really concerning, although the water itself seemed OK.

Breakfast ended really early. Who wakes up on vacation at 8-8:30 to get breakfast? Should be open til 10 AM- at least 9:30.

Ceiling tiles in my room were stained which is a turn off. But rest of room seemed clean and nice.

Staff weren’t very friendly. Totally unapologetic about the breakfast being closed. Vending machines ate my money twice and just a got a lame excuse of ‘we don’t manage those’. If you can support them, then don’t have them. There is a reasonable expectation that if you put money in the vending it will give you the product and the hotel will handle it. Low rent…

That said, My son loved the pool and it was convenient to mall of America But I wouldn’t go back unless I could confirm the pool was cleanes properly.

5 start tip. When you walk in with an 11 year old you could also ask if they want poolside room and offer it. Those rooms were available at least a few. Not required but that is what a 5 star would do for customer service
