The pool and hot tub were closed indefinitely. Staff seemed over-worked. We were told there would be intermittent, at best, room service. There was some room service. It seemed to pick up more throughout the stay The same pieces of garbage remained on the hallway and stairwell floor our entire stay. Garbage cans outside were overflowing.

Pool was closed for maintenance. A guest said they heard it may be closed until August. Breakfast was difficult as there were multiple sports teams staying and only 1 waffle maker. I and another guest waited in line 20 minutes to make 1 waffle each. By then there was hardly any batter left. We asked if there was more but we were told no because they were closing. Two machines would have helped speed this up and solved that problem especially when there were SO many kids staying there. Otherwise I thought the lobby and my room were nice. I didn't use the gym or any other amenities. Also I was charged $5 plus tax to park on their parking lot and no one mentioned they charge for parking. I didn't find out until I saw an email receipt after my departure. It's the suburbs so why the charge?

This is usually our go-to place to stay when we are in the area. The kids like the pool area, and the price is great. Unfortunately this time our kids were disappointed as the pool area was closed. No mention of it when we checked in. The put a sign out stating it was closed after we checked in and called the front desk to see if it would be open at all that weekend. Had I seen that beforehand, I wouldnt have stayed there. The lady as the front desk was not personable at all, and when I asked for a partial refund at least.. she gave me $20 off our room. A little disappointed to say the least.

We found out at checkin that the pool wasn’t working. I asked if that just happened to which she replied it had been down for “quite awhile.” Would have been nice to notified in advance, with a four year old, a pool is a big deal.

We came in late and no one was at the desk. When we got to our room, the couch had disgusting stains on it. Finally, we booked the hotel to extend out vacation one day and use the hot tub. Both the pool and hot tub were closed for repair.

The staff during check in was so not welcoming. I even smiled extra and repeated my \"hi\" with a \"how are you?\".. only for her to just ask if i was checking in. My kids and i were really stunned as it felt like we were not supposed to be there, but i didn't want to start something that might ruin the rest of our evening.
I know people have their own personal problems that might show up at work, but not even saying hi or welcome, was absurd.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The property was very clean, quiet, and felt safe and elegant. The price was also very reasonable for the quality offered.

Unfortunately, our experience was negatively impacted by the attitude of the staff member working the night check-in. She was unfriendly and unwelcoming, and it felt as though assisting guests was an inconvenience. After a long day of driving, a basic level of courtesy and warmth is something travelers truly appreciate.

Everything about the hotel itself was excellent, but the lack of friendliness at check-in took away from an otherwise great stay.

The property itself is definitely a budget property. Which I found surprising because I have always liked Springhill Suites but maybe this one is just due for an update. Where this place shines is the staff. There was someone different every time I went to the desk, called, or took the shuttle. But every single one of them went out of their way to be helpful and were kind. The hot tub was nice but many kids in it. The breakfast was so/so. Also typical. But there is a Chilis and Wendy’s basically next door.

My recommendation is, do not make any special requests as they will give you the exact opposite. Since I am a very light sleeper, I requested a quiet room away from the expressway and away from the elevator, preferably on the top floor. I was given the closest room to the elevator on the side closest to the expressway, on the middle floor. Very thin walls, so I could here all of the guests on their phones getting on and off the elevator, as well the guest above us stomping across the floor late at night and early in the morning. The hotel was fairly empty, so no other options was not a viable excuse.

When we checked in, the front desk person didn’t even acknowledge us for 5-10 minutes as we awkwardly stood there waiting to get checking in. The rest of the stay was great, but the staff at the front desk and breakfast areas weren’t very friendly. The website stated it slept 4, but the pull out couch was an uncomfortable trundle for 1, so the 4th person was on the couch. Unfortunately no one slept well. Hot tub was nice and hot albeit a little extra chlorinated for my eyes and lungs. The breakfast spread was fabulous and even included GF options!

All rooms in this property are suites. Ours had a king bed with ample room in the adjoining space. The breakfast room was spacious and welcoming, the food was the usual and well tended. Our group used the space in the later evening as well. Parking was handy and they offered a shuttle service as well. All in all a very nice weekend.

First room smelt like cigarettes, asked for a different room. Got moved to one that smelt better, but not after feeling like it was a major inconvenience by front desk. Room was dirty, crumbs all over couch and literal gobs of hair on the shower wall (will post a picture if I can.) Poor was so cold and filthy, kids even said they were taking their goggles off so they did t have to see all the stuff floating in it. We only swam 20-30 mins before one was so grossed out by “chunks” touching her lips when she tried swimming under water. Chemical levels must have been off as well as they had red eyes and itchy skin after. Breakfast was great, beds were clean and fairly comfortable.

I rarely write negative reviews, but our stay was truly disappointing. The room had a strong, musty smell, and we quickly discovered why: the AC unit was leaking onto the floor, and there was black mold on the ceiling above the shower.
We were offered a replacement room, but it had clearly been smoked in recently, and the smoke detector had its battery taken out, which was a huge safety concern. We were stuck and couldn't leave, so we had to make the best of it. The staff was generally accommodating, but the condition of the rooms was unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

We liked everything except the breakfast was lacking in one area, no waffles except on weekends!
Otherwise the breakfast was excellent. Cereal toppings were plentiful; raisins, cranberries, apricots, pumpkin seeds, almonds, walnuts, chocolate chips etc. There was also a spinach quiche besides the scrambled eggs and meat.
The exercise equipment was all working well too. The room was large and had two TV’s. The area felt safe and quiet. Overall a good choice!
