Great stay!
Cassondra
Everything was great. The room and hotel were very clean and staff were smiley and helpful. Walking distance to new amphitheater and offered free shuttles.
Nancy
This is a nice, clean hotel with helpful and friendly staff. We will be back.
Carrie
The rooms and lobby were clean. Breakfast buffet was very good. One big downfall was the extreme chlorine smell in the pool area and levels of chlorine in the pool. The kid’s eyes were red.
Miles
One of the most disgusting breakfast we have had. Did not feel clean. We didn’t have enough pillows, went down and asked and they said they were put. They changed our room type without consent. I assumed it was close to the airport since it says airport hotel in the name, it’s not close. The airport staff had no idea where it was and it took the shuttle 20-30 minutes to come and get us. The night front lady was rude and not helpful with answering questions.
Kari
The room was clean and the staff was friendly.
Rose
Very clean, the pool and hotub areas were very well maintained. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. overall it's a very nice place to stay and great location too.
Eugenia
Everything was nice except when I booked my room I got a king size bed with a pull out couch but when I checked in the woman said there was only a king size bed and that there was no pull out couch so she switched me to a room with two beds down on the next floor and then the next morning another worker told me that the room was booked and the people were coming today at three so I had to pack everything back up and move to the next floor up because the woman lied about not being a couch. It would have been fine if I didnt have a special needs child and all of her stuff to pack back up and move too.
Tony
When we pulled up the guy at the front desk was walking out the door. As I was walking in he just kept walking and I had to wait 3-5 min for him to come back in. He was on the rude side .
We got to our room and my wife went to take a shower. As she stepped into the bathroom she stepped into something on the floor. Then she noticed the toilet had been used and not flushed. If it hadn’t been so late I would’ve went and requested another room. Will never stay at this place again

Excellent breakfast, hot tub was rich with chlorine little hardon eyes
Kristi
Clean room. Decent breakfast.
Angelina
Room was very spacious and clean. The pillow variety was great.
Main complaint I have regarding our stay was I informed staff that we had a service dog with us. Tho wasn’t an issue until someone from the dining crew asked if she was a service dog, which they can do, once identified as such they told us she needed to wait in the hall area. Which is against federal laws. When this was brought up to the manager on duty we were told if she was wearing her vest, it wouldn’t have been an issue. Service dogs are not required to wear a vest and once identified as such staff should have not addressed her presence any further. Staff should educate themselves on the federal laws regarding what can be asked, where service dogs are permitted with their handlers, and what identification is needed or not.

We had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites. The things that really stood out was the Cleanliness. The pool was clean and big enough to swim. The hot tub was super warm and clean. Finally a hot tub that is actually a Hot tub.! The buffet breakfast was so yummy. Fresh Fruit, bagels, omelets, sausage, ham and 4 different kinds of juice. They had a pancake machine which my granddaughter loved. We will definitely stay again.
Jacqueline

Booked 2 rooms and both were wrong. Booked a large suite and did not get it and the other room i booked was supposed to be a king suite but was double bed instead. When i asked about was just told oh well, its pretty much same thing and there was nothing they could do as rooms were full

What a nice hotel. Clean comfortable, spacious room. Had a pool and hot tub. Large breakfast area with a ton of seating. The hot breakfast that is included in your stay had a great variety of things to choose from. Let’s talk about coffee…. The freshly ground coffee was so good.

Clean Room, Shuttle service, Friendly staff
Jennifer
Everything was great. My only complaint was that after a couple of days, a bunch of young kids took over the place. I think by they were a hockey team. They kind of overran the pool and hot tub. Being very loud and frequently screaming. I know that it was no fault of the staff or the facility, but the pool was left a mess with no towels, and what was a crystal clear pool with minimal chlorine smell desperately needed a refresh that just didn’t happen before we left a day or two later. Again, I’m sure the staff was just as annoyed as I was, so no worries. Lol
OMara
Hot tub was dirty and no soap in any of the public area restrooms. Overall a good value.
Nikki
Great hotel. Lobby, elevators, hallways and rooms were very clean. We stayed only one night as we were in town for a show at mystic lake casino. It was about an 8 minute drive to the casino so that was very nice also. Breakfast in the morning was good. There was plenty of seating. Dining area was very clean. Food was good and there was a good variety of different options. The chicken sausage was delicious!! There was a big wedding party that stayed the same night as us and the breakfast bar stayed stocked and food was hot. Definitely would stay here again and would recommend to others staying in the area. Also your room cards got you 10% off at the Culver’s that was just down the street so that was another good perk!!
Christopher David
Room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff was professional and courteous. Breakfast was good, the area was kept clean. Breakfast staff is very conscientious. Great fresh ground coffee. Stayed Christmas Eve and Day. We have family in the area, we’ll be back.
William
Beds were hard and very comfortable
Kari
The hot tub was great, the chlorine level did hurt our eyes a bit, otherwise....wonderful time.
Jessica
Very good
Sue
The room was modern, warm and very clean, the hotel itself was beautifully decorated for the holidays, flooring throughout wasn’t obnoxious- was newlike and clean, and the breakfast spread was excellent; would definitely recommend to others and would stay again if in the area.
Louise
The room and furnishings were comfortable, up to date, clean, and quiet. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. I would stay at this location again.

Clean room. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Good price.
Sarah
Wall paper peeling in bathroom. Around the toilet bottom still dirt and hair balls in bathroom. Controls for heat/fan ac did not work. First night pool and hot tub were good. Next night hot tub was cold and pool was colder also. Food options were better Sunday than on Saturday.
Sarah

Cleanliness, staff was very friendly, breakfast, all around great place!
Jeremy
Room had food still in the fridge, Cheetos in the couch, hair on the bathroom floor. Wallpaper was peeling off in the bathroom. Staff were rolling carts past the breakfast area and on the tiled floor it was so loud. We could hardly visit and it was very distracting. Could hear the interstate traffic.
Maddie
Wonderful hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by how large our room was. Would stay again!
Jarrett
Breakfast was good. Definitely adds a few points to the stay.
Vivian

Amazing
Rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable

Handicap Room small otherwise love the hotel!!!
424 is a handicap room. 409 is not. We ended up having our handicap mom stay in the NON handicap room of 409 because there is MUCH more room to get wheelchair in that room!!!!! Super weird that the room that can fit a wheelchair is NON handicap and the one that IS handicap can't fit one. Staff amazing - good breakfast - comfy rooms and clean!!!! Ice machines work and laundry facilities nice!
Greg
Clean and nice
Joyce
10/10 thank you so much! :)
Kim
The whole hotel was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was very good with many options to choose from. Coffee tasted great as well.
Heather
Staff were great at arrival. Excited to see you and helpful with a couple needs we had. Rooms and hallways were clean. It was convenient for staying and getting to the park and ride for Ren Fest.
Catherine
Was not the room I reserved and they would not change it. They were not apologetic. Mentioned several times that I had booked with a third party(hotels.com) and did not seem happy about that. They didn’t ID me when I checked in and are the only hotel I remember not ID ing me ( I’ve stayed 30 nights in hotels this year as I do every year) Huge safety concern!! I’ve stayed at this hotel 3 times since mid summer but will not stay there again.
Michelle
Friendly but didn’t explain breakfast or that sundries were available.
Araceli
The staff were great! The breakfast was fantastic!
Maria
Everything was clean, breakfast was great and had variety.
Roxanne
Spent night to go to Ren Fest. Quick and convenient.
John
Always stay here for the Renaissance Festival - always a great stay!
Vanessa
We get there, the front desk attendant has attitude from the start when I tell her we’re checking in for a reservation. She tld me I only had one room. That’s when Anna the manger come up, told me that’s why I shouldn’t use a third party booking sight and only call the hotel. That’s there’s nothing they could do, they were full. When I showed her my booking and two rooms, she than asked for a second name. When I gave her what I thought it would be she told me she couldn’t find it and again it was my fault for using a website.
steve
Easy check in clean and tidy room
Pam
Nice place. Spacious rooms
Courtney
Everything was fantastic! If I had to be picky, the air ventilation in the pool room was non-existent. Eyes burned from chlorine. Otherwise, the property was top-notch. I haven't been this satisfied with a hotel in a long time ,and I travel often!
Lorenzo
Easy access to surrounding areas.

Had our pick of hotels between ValleyFair and the MOA, but so glad we chose Holiday Inn Express. The hotel was updated, clean, and quiet and fairly priced. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub as well as the delicious breakfast options.
