I did not like the bathroom in my room. The bathtub was unsafe. It had no grab handles for a safe exit out of the bathtub. The inside tub was very slippery when exiting with bath water in the tub. I needed to literally roll myself out of the tub to the bathroom floor. The inside of the tub had no anti-slip safety. There was no tub water plug to keep water in the tub. To take my bath, I plugged the water drain with a washcloth and held the washcloth down with the back of my heels while on my back.
My first night I did ask the room attendant for a tub water plug.
She told me she didn't have one. No photos, check the bathroom yourself.

Nice people, some good updates

Cons:
Room hasn’t been deep cleaned in a long time-buildup in corners of mirror frame, counter, and bathtub.
No sink stopper-lost a small hair clip down the drain, couldn’t reach it-fortunately the coffee maker stir sticks worked to fish it out.
One lamp globe was broken, so bare bulb.
Hot tub only slightly warmer than the pool.
Due to allergies of wheat, eggs, and dairy, there was nothing available for me to eat at breakfast. Some fruit at least would be great.

Breakfast sucked only had waffles and stale cereal the day I went don't there, 2$ waterbottles. Front desk lady made a big deal over me asking for new towels. 1 ply toilet paper. Place is a joke.

Bad: The room needed repairs. Broken countertop by the sink and window frame was scratched and faded. Sheets had stains, we had to ask for new ones to make the bed ourselves. We couldn’t get the internet to work. Front desk reset it and it worked but found out we couldn’t log in to any apps, even though they showed Netflix, Paramount and Hallmark channel on the TV when you turned it on. Staff said they were just advertisements?!
Breakfast was not good. Sausage gravy was plain and runny. Coffee had no taste. Orange Juice was bad. There was no yogurt.

Good: The staff were nice and helpful. Parking was excellent.

Overall, I would not stay here again for the price we paid.

Room was clean, staff seemed disengahed to deal woth issues we had with kods running the halls till 3 AM. Didnt seem to care we had issues. Breakfact was sub par quality. Pool are was not well maintaned. Lobby was clean, beyond that not much. Rooms were clean bit walls were paper thin. Hotel ran out of hot water by 6 AM. Parking was ample.

Everything was very good, the only two issues was the hallways smelled of marijuana, which I don't hold the hotel responsible for, and it wasn't overwhelming, just not pleasant, and there was a mechanical hum in my room which I think was coming from the fridge, but it wasn't terrible, you couldn't hear it with the TV on.

Beautiful hotel and it’s in a good location. I liked my room and breakfast was good. I used Lyft to get around so parking wasn’t an issue. Places to eat within walking distance.
SoI have no complaints andI will stay here next time I’m back there.

There were some minor room issues. There were popcorn kernels and a white pill under the nightstand. The bath mat was threadbare and see through in some spots. The door didn’t sit right in the frame so you could into the hallway at the bottom of the door. We didn’t notice it until we shut off the lights to go to bed. We didn’t say anything because it was so late and we didn’t want to move to a different room so late in the evening.

The mattress was comfortable, location good, front staff efficient and courteous. The pillows are terrible - soft and shapeless or hard and unforgiving. Several of the bath towels were yellow stained. The bathroom floor had black buildup of something that was at least six inches deep to the baseboards. The shower leaked - not from the shower curtain but from the floor and water ran all across the floor. The toilet wouldn't stop running after being flushed. We had to take the tank lid off each time and guide the float so it would not continuously run. When you sat on the toilet, the whole thing moved; the shim they tried to use to level it was not effective. There were multiple patches in the walls that were unpainted so obvious. I am extremely surprised they rented this room in this condition as the remainder of the hotel did not seem in disrepair. The breakfast was no less than nasty - old, dried out bread products, scrambled eggs in cubes that disintegrated when trying to get on the fork, limited beverages. We left and purchased breakfast elsewhere.

I had to cancel due to illness and when I called the hotel, they could not speak English. they told me to call back in the morning, which was the day of my reservation. when i called back, they told me they couldn't cancel because i had gone thru expedia/hotels.com. therefore, i was unable to get my refund because it was over 24 hours. i am not happy with the service at AmericInn Chanhassen.

I requested a room on an upper floor. I did not get one. The first room #109 had stained duvet covers, rotten windows that literally had the storms winding whistling through them and the heat system constant fan did not work. I asked for a different room which they gave me quickly. The second room was better but duvets were still stained but less. The beds were firm but fine. The breakfast was disappointing compared to what i read in the other reviews. me

There is no TV service although there is a TV, no internet service either. You can log onto their wifi but, it says no internet so it is worthless. Then we had to change rooms because there was a leak from the room above us causing gross brown liquid dripping from the ceiling which they didn't seem to be concerned about. Also the a/c unit was full of mold and mildew making the air quality horrible. Whole place needs a lot of work.

Needs to be better cleaned inside and out. Old mattresses need to be removed from outside by parking lot. We experienced a lot of issues with getting hot water in our room. This property definitely needs some major updates and a deep clean. The tile in the bathroom had major dirt on it and you could clearly see it hadnt been properly cleaned.

The hotel was very short on staff/service. There was never anyone at the front desk except at check-in time. The hot tub was dirty and the huge air exchange vent in pool room was filthy. We only saw a housekeeper one time in 3 days. It appeared that 3 people were running the place (front desk, breakfast, laundry, maintenence etc.) On a positive note, the breakfast was pretty good and the room was clean.

I stayed 2 nights with my family, the room smelt moldy and was very humid. I asked for extra towels after the kids got out of the pool and he said only if I exchange the 4 from the room. I told him the room only had 3 towels and 5 of us were in the room. He was very rude and would not give me towels because people steal them. The next day they cleaned the room when we were gone for the day and yet again only 3 towels were stocked. We ended having to use our beach towels we brought with us. The breakfast was a sad repeat from the day before. Don’t waste your money here, I would have checked out if I didn’t book through Expedia.

The shower head was black and orange, covered in mold and mildew. The tall mirror was filthy; it made me sick until I washed it. The bed frame was broken or partially disassembled, so I had to shift the steel around until it seemed safe. The desk chair had a peculiar stain. I liked the location. I didn’t like how old and out dated it was. Carpet was worn and stained, granite cracked and shower didn’t drain so you were always standing in a foot of water. The beds and pillows were comfortable and TV worked well with lots of channels. One more thing, I’m left handed and the cord on the blow dryer was so short I could barely see myself in the mirror to blow dry my hair. Moving the mirror over a bit for us lefties would be nice.
