First impressions were not good. We arranged for late checkin, a key was to be left in a coded key box. On arrival just after midnight, very tired, there was no key in the keybox, and no-one to answer the phone. No-one answered the door. Luckily we found a member of staff purely by chance, when we saw a downstairs light on at the back of the property. Rooms at first appear dated, but they are individual in style and actually more appealing than a modern and boring standard Travelodge. Comfortable bed. The pool was a welcome facility in the sunshine. The hotel is about 500m from George Clooneys villa - the hotel is in a good location, 15mins drive from Como with good views across the lake. Cannot comment on dining as we were room only. We would stay again, but arrive before check in closes!

It's a good location in Laglio, as I was there for a wedding. So, good if you are there for specific reasons, an event, business. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff are wonderful. This is not a property you will be spending time in. You need to walk or taxi to do anything. The breakfast is basic, and enough to meet your morning hunger.

Several of the other reviews seemed unnecessarily harsh. For the location, which is an expensive area, this is a fine hotel for the price. It was very clean, the owners and workers were nice and friendly, and the food at the restaurant was good. They cooked for us one night even though we were the only ones there.

The balcony views of the lake and mountains were amazing. But the road noise is for real, especially during rush hour, but calms down a lot past 7pm. Maybe bring some ear plugs if you are concerned, but it is worth the sacrifice for the view!

I was afraid to touch things because it looked like it hadn't been cleaned or wiped in years. The floor mat had stains on it. The sheets did smell washed and looked clean

Hair dryer didn't work.
Shower had was wonky - calcified head so the water sprayed in directions it wasn't meant to & the water pressure was low because the head was probably worn out.

Not a great location. Even for the view. Lake view is literally everywhere in como stay somewhere else for yes same price that's cleaner and skip on the lake view

A quiet out of the way hotel, perfect for a pit stop between destinations if you want to brag about being at Lake Como whilst juggling getting home fast but also needing a stopover that is quiet. (Out of season) 2 very good restaurants within 1/4 mile, I cannot comment on this hotels food as we didn’t dine here. The stunning view of the lake from the room is worth paying the little extra for. The staff are super friendly.

Parking was great, very easy and on property. The rooms and building need refurbishment. The mattress was bad and you could feel every spring in it. The tub and tile were painted and the paint was peeling and would clog the shower drain cover while you shower. Peeling wall paper in the hall. Just small things that need to be upgraded and this hotel would be so much better.

Beautiful balcony view of Lake Como from their restaurant. But we didn’t have a view from our personal room. The beds aren’t very comfortable either and the rooms could use a bit of updating. Their hotel pool is nice too. The hotel got the job done for us but wasn’t our favorite.

The ròom was cleaned regularly and stsff were friendly and helpful. Our glight was dellayed so if we had not had relatives staying we would not have been able to check in after 11pm so someghknv to thknk of when booking flights . Breakfast was contknental but drinks were good and not to pricy. Views were good and towels for pool use road was busy outside

The hotel was easy to find and had lovely views over Lake Como - but the busy road is between the hotel and the Lake which made the rooms noisy for most of the night. We paid for a family room so had plenty of space.

The staff were very helpful, and the restaurant was quite good.

There is a small pool with amazing views and we had it to ourselves on several mornings which was a real bonus.

Walking down into Laglio was pleasant apart from the first 100m or so along the busy road with no pavements.Quite a steep climb back upto the hotel.

There is a bus service that stops outside.

Family run B&B with stunning views of the lake.

The family that runs the hotel are kind, helpful and hard working. The hotel is situated in Beautiful Laglio with stunning views over the lake. We woke up every morning to have breakfast in the dinning room that looks straight out on to Lake Como followed by a cooling swim in the swimming pool and then on to sunbathing looking out at the view. Wonderful. In the evening we chose mostly to eat at the hotel despite having a car as the food was really good - especially the pasta.
We visited Argegno which is a 5 minute drive - to take the cable car up the mountain, visited Menaggio for the Lido, spent an evening strolling around the Piazzas in Como, drove to beautiful Bellagio and continued up the mountains to take the children to a Go Ape type activity and finished with a water park day in Milan. We managed to throw in a spot of Geroge Cloony spotting as he was allegedly in town - but we didn't see him. We all had a great time.

Swimming pool!

This hotel was like a dream!! Facing to the lake Como with swimming pool as well as ping pong table.
Although there is nothing neighborhood, there is restaurant in the hotel, so we didn't need to think about dinner.
WiFi was poor, maybe too many people there.

On a loud road with no fan or AC. Very loud all night with vehicles and food was eaten, but only due to a lack of restaurants in the area. The hotel is on the side of the mountain, so its a hike down to the lake, and a maze to get there.

you get what you pay for

This hotel seemed like a good deal and I heard Laglio was a beautiful area. Laglio, is a residential town with no other restaurants (that we could find) other than the hotel restaurant. The food was average but the service was atrocious. It's run by the owners and they're waiting tables, checking in guests, and no doubt preparing the food. Both times we ate, after repeatedly asking for napkins, we finally got up and got our own. When we asked what the 1 euro service charge per person was for dinner, the woman got angry and said it's for the table setting; table cloth, napkins, etc. (which I found interesting given we were never given napkins). She said you pay that everywhere in Italy, but I never saw it anywhere else. When we asked for a glass of tap water, she insisted we buy water because the water at Lake Como wasn't safe to drink. We informed her we had been drinking it since we'd been here and it seemed fine. She begrudgingly gave us tap water. We later looked at a bottle of water that was bottled in Lake Como (WHAT?). The couple with whom we were traveling stayed in a lake front room. Great view, but the road is right below the window and they couldn't sleep because the traffic was so noisy. We had a rear room with no view, but less traffic noise. However, the owners dog was kept right outside our window, and when he wasn't barking or whining, he was snoring louder than my husband. The thing that irked me the most was their website advertised free wifi. When I asked for it, they told me I had to pay. I took out the printout that said it was free and was told it was a mistake. I said mistake or not, they should honor it. They refused and made me pay for it. The bed had a spring that poked my ribs all night, but the room was clean. Overall, not a good experience. Better to stay in Bellagio or even Argegno (up the road 15 minutes but great little town).

Ganska slitet hotell som ligger direkt vid vägen vilket innebär mycket oljud från både bilar och motorcyklar. Troligtvis bättre om man kan bo högre upp än på första våningen som vi gjorde. Ok frukost samt restaurang med prisvärd mat.

Et ok ophold for prisen

Vi har lige taget 3 overnatninger på San Marino. Overordnet set har opholdet været ok (især ift. prisen). Det var lækkert, at der var pool på hotellet, da det er svært at bade i Comosøen. Det giver optimale forhold, hvis man ønsker en mere \"afslappet\" ferie, hvilket vi ønskede. Wifi fungerede fint, og det var sjovt for os, at der også var bordtennisbord. Vi synes dog, at priserne på maden var forholdsvis dyrt. Priserne på maden var lige så dyrt som inde i Como by, hvilket vi ikke synes de kunne tillade sig. Maden var ok, men ikke noget voldsomt. Så at tage 10 euro for blot noget kød, som var over friturestegt og yderligere 5 euro for fritter, var lige i overkanten for os. Men man kunne selvfølgelig også købe fine pizza og pasta retter for cirka 8-10 euro. Men igen, vi synes det var lidt spicy, især når de tog samme priser i indre by. Sengene var rimelig bløde og vi kunne mærke fjedrene, hvilket vi synes var rigtig ærgerligt. Især fordi vi begge døjer lidt med dårlig ryg. Vi havde desuden bestilt dobbeltværelse med søudsigt, hvilket vi ikke rigtig fik. Der er desværre tre kæmpe træer på den anden side af vejen, hvilket gjorde det svært at se søen (dog ikke umuligt). Det anbefales at have bil, hvis man ønsker at være andre steder end hotellet. Morgenmaden kunne godt være lidt bedre. Der var det man skulle bruge, men corn flakes var desværre bløde, da de står over natten. Lidt ærgerligt. Ellers ok :-)

Hôtel (et ville) sans intérêt

Vieil hôtel, peu entretenu. Le gros point positif est la partie restaurant/petit déjeuner au 2e étage, avec une très belle terrasse et vue sur le lac, et la piscine au même niveau qui est bien agréable quand il fait chaud. Il y a des chambres dans les étages supérieurs avec balcon et vue sur le lac qui doivent donner une belle impression. Notre expérience était différente : chambre au rez de chaussée, vue sur le parking, proche escalier et ascenseur. il y avait une colonie de fourmis dans la salle de bain, pas de serviettes quand nous sommes arrivés, déco assez moche. Cela étant la chambre était d'une taille tout à fait correcte, et la clim fonctionnait bien. Les gérants de l'établissement sont sympathiques, mais débonnaires et pas très pressé. On est loin des 3 étoiles affichées. Le restaurant est d'une qualité correcte, ni plus ni moins. En revanche Laglio n'est pas la ville où s'arrêter sur le lac : il n'y a rien à faire, aucun commerce, un seul café, une ville morte... et pas très jolie qui plus est alors que le coin est vraiment magnifique.

Hôtel vieillot a besoin d’un sérieux coup de rafraîchissement. Personnel très peu réactif aux problèmes (coffre inutilisable, machine du café au petit déjeuner ne fonctionnant pas correctement, serrures des portes non sécurisées, l’ extérieur est à nettoyer complètement, bâches qui traînent !)

Dejlig udsigt - ligger ud til trafikeret vej.

Værelse til 4 var med køjeseng. Stort badeværelse med kar. Boede med flot udsigt over søen. Der var en lille balkon, hvor vi kunne sidde og nyde udsigten. Meget larm og trafik fra hovedvejen, men det vidste vi. Poolen er fin. Morgenmad kedelig og lille udvalg. Personalet meget flinke og hjælpsomme. Hotellet ligger på en meget trafikeret hovedvej. Vi ville ikke gå langs vejen og var derfor nødt til at tage bilen, hvergang vi skulle finde en restaurant eller skulle ud fra hotellet.

Unser Zimmer war sehr kalt für die erste 4-5 Stunden, bis zum die Heizung funktionierte. Ansonsten gab es keine grosse Probleme. Möbel, Matrazzen, Dushe usw. alles sind sehr alt aber funktionierte ohne Probleme. Zimmer haben ein Blick auf Como See. Rot Wein, Pasta und Pizza im Restaurant waren echt lecker und günstig. Definitive kein 3 Sterne Hotel Standards wie in Deutschland aber es geht..

No clean towels every day. Have to ask for them. On arrival there was a condom laying in the trash can. Family owned business, so cleaning of the rooms was done by their children.
Food during the evening was good, eventhough the plates/cups didn't look too clean. Breakfast was very easy with some croisants, watermelon ... just what to expect of an easy italian breakfast.
Very loud on the corridors, can hear people talk and doors slamming.
The stay was okay, but nothing luxurious; in my opinion very expensive for what you get. But hotels in the same area can be worse for the same amount of money.

Très correct pour le prix,très bien la piscine, la vue sur le lac de Côme, et le jardin, bien pour un ou deux jours, petit déjeuner correct, nous sommes arrivé à 11h le matin au lieu de14h et avons pu avoir notre chambre, restaurant dans l'hôtel très pratique, mais pas de climatisation, à côté d'une route bruyante, le matelas à ressort pas très confortable.

En liten pärla!

Vackert hotell, mycket bra läge. Underbar utsikt över sjön när vi åt frukost. Bra kontinental frukost som innehöll det mesta, ägg, ost, salami, yoghurt. Fin liten pool med utsikt som vi tyvärr inte hann utnyttja då vi bara var på genomresa. Sängarna hade ganska mycket att önska i comfort. De var stenhårda.
