I really loved this place. It was beautiful. I loved that it was right on the beach. The amenities were all used and absolutely to die for. They had an outdoor beach bar it was so awesome. My only two suggestions when staying here. 1. make sure when you park if the parking in the lot runs out... do not park in the beach spots as you will get towed. Make sure you park in the other property right across the street. There is plenty parking but my first night there I learned the hard way but thankfully asked and moved my car lol. Also the second was silly but I think for it being on the beach it's important that staff realizes this is a vacation for most people. I went to order a pina colada and the bar tender who was a girl seemed annoyed. Then she made it. 15 minutes later my co worker who looks nothing like me, asked for one and the bartender told her \"she was out of the mix\". I know it wasn't true because she opened up a brand new box of mix in front of me lol. So it was pure laziness and for the money you spend... you shouldn't have staff working there like that.

Every interaction with hotel staff positive and helpful. Checkin easy and quick, breakfast staff sweet and helpful. We stayed over 4th of July weekend so the hotel was full and busy, but the staff keeping pool area and grounds looking attractive. We had two \"ocean view\" rooms, but some \"ocean views\" better than others. I would ask for higher floors and avoid rooms over the pool for less noise and better views. $20 for breakfast buffet a little pricey, but we partook anyway and glad we did. Food was good.

Upon arrival, the staff was friendly and very helpful. My room had an ocean view and great view of the pool and hot tub. When housekeeping came, she only cleaned the bathroom and replaced the towels. There was a spill in room and I asked the front desk to let housekeeping know so that the bedsheets could be changed and the trash taken out but they never showed up. Overall, it was a great stay!

1. Food choices were the same for lunch and dinner which became boring after a few days. 2. The pool was closed for one full day due to emergency repairs needed to patch the cement around the hot tub. When I expressed my disappointment over no access to the pool I was told I would be comped $50 through Expedia which is the third party where I booked the hotel. I was also offered a credit for parking fees (which I wasn't even aware that I was being charged). I accepted the offer but upon reviewing my email receipt I found that I was not credited as promised.

Booked a “1 King Bed with Sofa bed, Balcony, Oceanfront (Balcony)” with check in time that starts at 4 PM and ends at 5:30 AM.

I show up and the room given to me was a room on the first floor with a balcony facing closed shops and flipped tables. When I complained to the receptionist, the explanation I got was that “we checked-in late…”.

There are no mentions of what is considered “late check-in” while booking. For all I know I could’ve showed up at 4:05 PM and they would’ve told me my room is no longer available because I “checked-in late”.

As far as I know when you reserve something it is yours until the time is up. The room was paid for in full through Expedia. The check in time frame is from 4 PM to 5:30 AM. I am well within the check-in window. To give away the room that I paid for? That is unprofessional.

It is unacceptable to have customers choose a room and pay for it and end up down grading the customer without any compensation or reasonable explanation.

My experience was very unpleasant and the treatment was unprofessional.

Book at your own risk.

Very disappointed that the pool was closed for an entire day. We were not notified ahead of time of the pool closing and not notified before we checked in. I loved the property and the staff was super friendly and helpful. I brought my pup and was surprised that a pet friendly hotel (and they were) had no where for my pup to potty. A one and a half foot strip of grass between the road and sidewalk is all there is. Other than that the pet friendly part is very true. I was happy that I could have my best friend anywhere I was. Except for pool area.
My only complaint was that my hotel room was hot and not comfortable. The thermastat read 76 most of the time and it felt like it. I and my friend woke up at night sweating and uncomfortable. I called the front desk and she told me I could adjust on the unit itself. That didn't work. I've never been hot in a hotel so was a bit surprised about that.
Over all a wonderful experience!

It's hard to think of anything negative to say about my stay at the Courtyard by Marriott. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and exceeded my expectations. If not for the cost, I would have gladly extended my stay. Parking is somewhat limited on-site, but additional parking is conveniently available across the street at the neighboring hotel.

Very nice; we had an ocean view room and it was really beautiful. My only objection was that someone kept dogs in their room and the dogs barked often . The only other objection was some guest smoking either tobacco or other products on their balcony and we actually had to close the door a couple times. Tough to blame the hotel for that. But it was annoying. Otherwise, the hotel was very nice.

We had king oceanfront room with balcony and the view was fantastic. We ordered their chicken Caesar salad and it was delicious. Their breakfast is very health conscious, turkey sausage, wasn’t bad, free range eggs, I loved the spinach and egg quiche it was fantastic. They also offer Starbucks flavored coffee as well as a large selection of drinks, snacks. Hotel is quiet and we were able to get a restful sleep . Parking was easy . Would recommend .

The walls are thin and we heard the occupants next door barking dog the whole time. Our balcony's door was missing the seal around the frame which caused a 24/7 annoying loud humming from the outside wind. The beach access gate doesnot unlock and we had to walk all the way around the parking lot to get back in. asking the front desk to fix it didnot make a difference. Their parking is very limited and it took us 15 minutes circling around at night time waiting for an available parking spot.

Our reservation for 6 nights was made and entirely paid for 2 months in advance. We went off the description and photos that were posted and opted for the king bed ocean front view with balcony. Upon arrival we were put in a room on the 2nd floor where there was a huge palm tree literally in front of the balcony blocking two thirds of the ocean view. The only thing visible was the pool, sand dunes and side water view way out in the ocean.
We asked if we could be moved to a higher floor but was told the hotel was booked up.
Upon inspection of the room. It was very tiny with only a small sleeper couch that was equivalent of sitting on a metal park bench. A cheap rolling office desk chair, small microwave and smaller dorm fridge. Both of these were literally sitting on the floor under the desk. The fridge did not cool enough to keep the few items we needed to put in there and we ended up having to throw out spoiled milk and yogurt. The king bed mattress was the equivalent of sleeping on a concrete floor and as much as we tried to endure it, our backs and bodies could not take the abuse, we finally ended up checking out early.

Lunch one day from the onsite restaurant consisted of 2 grilled chicken sandwiches, fries and soda and came to $44.00. The sandwiches were like cold rubber. We were able to speak with the customer service manager who apologized and put in for a reimbursement of our last nights rate of $209.10 plus tax and $50 for food but have not gotten any response.

Place was dusty from work occuring. We had no idea this hotel was under construction, the concierge seemed bothered with working there and weren’t too friendly to the guests. We had no room service for the two nights we were there, had to ask for clean towels. We asked for a late check out, as we were running the marathon. They said yes no problem, but when we got back to hotel after running a marathon, our room keys didn’t work and had to go back to the desk. Very disappointed with the stay. I would think during a busy weekend they would have not scheduled work to be done. They charged $18 for breakfast during all this craziness and you sat and couldn’t talk or relax due to drilling.

Hotel under remodeling - construction which resulted in blocked area, closed amenities, parking problems, and noise. TV did not work properly, and room phone not connected which would have been used in emergency. Water was cut off for several hours which prevented bathing, using toilet, even washing of hands, or making coffee. Slow to no response to problems which could have been addressed. Staff was pleasant even though they were dealing with problems out of their control. If we had been notified at time of reservation, we could have chosen another location. I had appointment at Mayo and chose this location so that we could relax, enjoy sounds of the sea, and rest. It was disappointing to deal with all these problems. This would have easily been a 5 star review but I feel like I really got the short end of the stick with this stay. I booked this specific hotel for a quick weekend getaway..6 hours away from where I live. The 2 main attractions: beachfront and hot tub. Unfortunately for us, the hotel was under construction which included the hot tub. If I had known we would wake up to banging noises in the morning, and no hot tub…I would have booked somewhere else. I wish I had known before hand.

Otherwise, the hotel was nice. It was clean, staff were friendly and the room was great (maybe the shower could use a little facelift). The bed was comfortable, water pressure was substantial and we had no other issues besides the before mentioned.

Maybe a small disclaimer when booking that states “this hotel is under construction” and list the amenities that are currently unavailable.

I’d love to give the marriot properties another try in the future ;maybe I should call head next time to ask about the hot tub.

They were doing renovations. The pool and tiki bar were under construction and several of the floors.

This Marriott is under heavy renovation and the writing is on the wall. I chose this location for its amenities, all of which were closed including the pool and hot tub. Still, our room had the remnants of Marriott luxe from the original build, including furnishings, comfy bed, and fresh white linens. A couple of finer points that housekeeping should know about; the coffee maker’s water tank was littered with spent grounds and who knows what, the TV’s remote control had a mind of its own when it came to volume control and the balcony (clearly labeled no smoking) was untenable due to the smell of cigar smoke from neighboring hotel guests.
