I would have loved this to be better based on the reviews, but sadly no. Firstly one of the very first things I noticed on the website was they had no fitness centre but free access to local ones. Not the case, was told at check in if I wanted to use the gym, would have to sign up with one of the local gyms. Would not have booked here had I known.
Water in the shower is warm at best. Air conditioning definitely not sufficient for the summer heat.
During my 8 day stay I had my room serviced once (I do think typically because I think it’s a waste for them to clean my room every day). Anyway it was halfway through my stay. Because of this, and 3 people in one room, yes there was some extra garbage. Things that weren’t taken out every day as I didn’t ask for my room to be cleaned. The cleaner decided to tell the people staying next door to us how messy we were. For the record there was no mess, there was just some extra containers to be thrown out but all were closed. Little did she know that this guest was actually my friend and told me what was said. It’s disgraceful that staff can go around telling guests about other guests. Also for the record if you are wondering why there was no tip, check your behaviour. Shame, I usually tip quite nicely!

We booked 3 nights at another location and canceled ASAP and found this one for the next 2 days. Way better for the price. Staff great, rooms nice size. The pull out bed needed a new mattress but my girls didn’t complain about them. The chair in the room needed to be updated but still nice. Bathroom was clean, breakfast was good. Pool was small but you’re right next to the beach which was great. Lots of places around within walking like shopping food and drinks. Balcony was small but it was a small hotel. I didn’t get to wise the washer room bit they did have one. Drinks you buy were reasonably. Parking was a little tight but we had a mini van and still did it.

The property was located in a perfect location in order to walk to the beach. It was also in walking distance to numerous shops to shop in or restaurants to enjoy. The breakfast was great as well. The 2 most disappointing things were the advertisement of the establishment says city view or ocean view when actually the rooms on the backside of the hotel has ocean views and that’s only the 2nd or 3rd floors. Our room balcony actually provided the view of the hotel parking lot and a few of the stores next door.Then we travelled from Louisiana, 800 miles and was put in a room with a boarded up sliding door to our balcony. We were told the previous occupants had shattered the glass. I ask for a different room but was told there was no other vacancies. We were extremely unhappy with this situation but needed a place to stay because were dealing with a very important family situation with a burial of a loved one.

Location is great. Immediate beach access with a beach shower station to wash off the sand. Very close to restaurants. Staff is helpful, especially the young lady who checked us in. View from the balcony is wonderful. The room itself is good enough for a single or couple. Breakfast is the usual offering, but the staff was always on time starting and on the spot replenishing. If the air conditioning was better I would’ve said excellent. The room air conditioning is very loud both in the room and while trying to sit on the balcony. In July it’s so hot that turning off the air to sit outside just didn’t work.

I really liked the balcony beachside. Sitting there at sunrise over the ocean was beautiful. They had a good full breakfast with great choices. Walking distance to restaurants and shops was a plus. I will definitely stay there again. All the employees were friendly very pleasant.

This hotel was located within walking distance of everything, such as restaurants, the pier, even a Walgreens and Publix! The room was clean and the hot breakfast was a great bonus. The staff was so friendly and I will definitely be back. I’m a solo traveler that loves being able to park my car and not have to start it until I am leaving. The beach is just right there and they have ocean front rooms as well as ones with a view. Great place.

The hotel was very nice for its age. It is not a newer or newly remodeled hotel but was kept clean and we felt comfortable there, The staff was very pleasant and helpful, esp the front desk crew. The breakfast was plentiful but the area a bit small as was the pool. Access to the ocean was wonderful! Paying for parking seemed odd but once in the area, you do that most everywhere. It was nice to know you always had a spot when you came back. We will def. stay again!

The manager is very nice. There is a fee for parking and even with that you’re only allowed one vehicle. We continued to have to request more towels which was an inconvenience. Our room started with one too little and then when we went and requested more the cleaning staff took them when they stopped in to clean. The complimentary breakfast was good and there was always somewhere to sit.

Wife and I are in our 60's and son in his 30's. We are from West Virginia and stayed the first week of May, Saturday to Saturday. We had a double queen room with balcony and Oceanfront view. Sure, you pay a bit more for the balcony and view, but it is worth every penny. The hotel is right by the pier, and many restaurants within EASY walking distance. We always took the 5 or 6 minute walks to and from supper rather than driving. Room was quiet and comfortable and staff super-helpful. Breakfast is typical hotel fare, and perfectly adequate. We ate breakfast at the hotel every morning rather than going out. The well-used beach access is right outside the back gate. A swim in the ocean was a treat. The pool could be a bit bigger, but my son and I went for dips several times.

Two minor points for improvement, but not deal breakers :
1) The shower water could be a bit hotter
2). Parking is plentiful and lots under cover, but costs an extra $12 per day.

If we went to Jacksonville beach for a vacation again we would not even research other hotels, but would stay here again.....Oceanfront with balcony.

I stayed at Best Western Oceanfront and overall had a mixed experience. The location is excellent—right by the beach and very convenient for restaurants and nearby attractions. The staff was very nice, kind, and helpful throughout my stay, which I truly appreciated.

However, the carpet in the room had a very strong unpleasant smell, which made the stay less comfortable than expected.

During a previous stay, I was offered free parking and even received a room upgrade, which left a very positive impression. Unfortunately, during my most recent stay, I was charged for parking and did not receive a room upgrade, even though the carpet in the room had a very bad smell. This made the experience feel less satisfactory compared to before. I still appreciate the great location and the kindness of the staff, but I hope the hotel improves consistency in guest experience and room conditions.

Had a beautiful bwach view . Our room was clean and comfortable. Love that its soo close to beach access points. We choose to stay here whenever we are in town becauee of the great free breakfast options. The overnight security gaurd was soo friendly and inviting. She was warm and inviting yet was able to deter some riff raff from parking lot without even a word. Her calm presence is a great addition.

Great location, the beach and restaurants are right there! Clean rooms, good breakfast, tea and coffee in the lobby around the clock. Beach towels provided. Highly recommend!

Room view was great! Beds were very comfortable. Charging stations available for rental EV. The ONE elevator was slow. Pool was a bit chilly. The music in the lobby was LOUD country and when asked to turn it down or off the staff refused. Also walked away from the desk and just let the phone ring and ring.

We were absolutely satisfied with our stay. Our room was clean and kept up daily. Our room overlooked the beach so we enjoyed the ocean every day. The staff was very efficient and helpful. The breakfast selection was good; plenty to eat. This property is small, so maybe it doesn't offer as many amenities as some of the larger ones, but it has a hometown friendly vibe. The location is great -- close to the pier and to a walkway across to the beach. It's in walking distance to lots of restaurants. We would stay here again.

Not sufficient parking for guests. Was called a thief by staff for taking a water bottle of water at breakfast from the cooler.

Breakfast was the tastiest I ever had in a chain hotels. The hotel is located right on the beach boardwalk with easy access to restaurants and nice jogging or walking.
