I had a wonderful stay at Jacksonville Margaritaville and truly enjoyed my experience. Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to the gentleman with the glasses and curly hair—I apologize that I can’t remember his name—but he was absolutely wonderful. I always enjoyed talking with him, and he made me feel genuinely welcome. I also want to recognize the young man who worked the overnight shift. He greeted me every time he saw me and consistently made the effort to say hello and check in, which I really appreciated.

I gave five stars across the board because my overall experience was excellent. The only suggestion I would offer is regarding the valet team. A simple greeting can go a long way in making guests feel welcomed. During my nine-day stay, most of the valet attendants were often talking among themselves or entertaining each other, and aside from one gentleman who greeted me once, they rarely acknowledged me when I arrived or left. In contrast, the female valet attendant was outstanding—she greeted me every time I came and went, was attentive, and consistently provided great customer service.

This is only a small suggestion because everything else about my stay was fantastic. Encouraging all valet attendants to simply say “good morning,” “hello,” or “have a great day” would make an already wonderful guest experience even better.

We stayed here for four days in July 2026. It was a trip to visit family and also get a little beach time in with our two kiddos. The location is wonderful, as the soft sandy beach is steps away. The kiddos enjoyed the pool, even though I felt it could use a good scrub and some patching. There was a definite party vibe on Friday/Saturday, so depending on your preference of a holiday, that could work for you. There was a little poolside drama one evening, but it seems to have been handled well. The staff were absolutely lovely the entire trip. We stayed in a large beach front room. The patio was just okay, not a great view. The room also needed some painting and patching, plus the roll in shower soaked the bathroom floor with every use, but we were overall comfortable and it was clean enough. The poolside bar area and restaurant was okay, good service, decent enough food and drinks. Was hoping for a better margarita, but maybe I’m being picky. While I might not make a point to return, it was a nice long weekend trip, and again, the folks working there were wonderful.

This hotel is definitely for those who love the marketing of Margaritaville. We had a decent stay for the time we were there. We loved that the beach was a quick walk and there was pool. The rooms were spacious, but definitely needed a little love. The area rug under our bed probably could have been replaced as it was pretty stained and worn out looking. The water pressure in the sink was low, but I seemed to find that in a lot of the businesses within jacksonville, so probably not hotel specific. The water did take a while to get hot in our room, so we had to let it run for a few minutes before showering. There are no microwaves, I guess you can rent them if they have them, so bringing leftovers back after dinner wasn't really an option. The pool was refreshing but probably needed a good scrubbing as it looked rough. If you plan on renting a chair and umbrellas go early as they did run out of the anchors for the umbrellas so we had to wait until someone was done to rent one, also they place them pretty far from the ocean.

The minute we arrived we knew we were going to have a great time! The weather was off and on rainy, but because the hotel was set up so nicely we enjoyed the bar and restaurant and didn’t have to go out anywhere else! The room and entire hotel was wonderfully decorated and clean. We had a great view from our little balcony and watched every sunrise. The prices were great in July and we would definitely make the trip from Virginia again!💜

I recently stayed at Margaritaville, and my experience was mixed. The best part of this hotel is definitely its location—being right on the beach was wonderful and made it easy to enjoy the ocean and beautiful views.

The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay, which I really appreciated.

However, there were a few things that disappointed me. I highly recommend bringing disinfecting wipes or a sanitizing spray if you stay here, as I felt more comfortable cleaning my room myself. I was also surprised that the trash cans did not have liners. When I asked the front desk, I was given only one trash bag, so I ended up using an empty Publix bag for the second trash can.

I stayed on the 7th floor, and the hallway frequently had a strong unpleasant odor. It seemed like the smell was coming from the carpet, and it made walking to and from my room less enjoyable.

Overall, the beachfront location and the kindness of the staff were the highlights of my stay. With better attention to cleanliness and some improvements to the hallways and room amenities, this hotel could provide a much better guest experience.

The valet at check in was extremely unorganized a lady I think her name was Adrian older white lady with blonde hair and blue eye shadow had an horrible attitude. I understand they were busy but when someone is traveling from out of town and just got off the road the attitude is uncalled for. The cleanliness could have been better. As waiting to check in I sat in the lobby it was a bug by one of the blue lamps. The people at front desk were very pleasant.

This is our second Margaritaville hotel/resort that we had visited, first was Compass in Flagger and know this in Jax. Same concept beach, summer, festive (Despite Compass is smaller and newer than the regular Margaritaville). Here in Jacksonville Beach you get a friendly and professional help or info, and also a big smile from the moment you leave your car in valet, at the check in counter, the cleaning staff and at the bars. A small flaw is that the menu in Land-shark is not up to date, also the shops do not sell the shampoos and soaps that are exquisite and unique...that push us to eat and drink outside the premises and to shop online, on the other side, this location is beach front and everything is steps away, places to eat (breakfast, lunch, dinner or snack) drink and souvenirs places (we didn’t moved our car in our 5 days stay) 100% recommended!

Soooo we had a lovely time because of the location and Jordan and Sidney at the front desk. They both are are wonderful, especially Jordan.

We were a very disappointed with the bathroom. I'm not sure how this became a trend, but the shower is that half glass door. It is so unbelievably dangerous. The water goes EVERYWHERE in the bathroom and floors become very slippery. The amount of towels we needed to use to keep it safe was crazy. Plus, there's no handle to hold onto when getting in the shower and no where to hang your towels close to the shower. As well, there is absolutely NO water pressure. Takes forever to shower because of no pressure and we were not the only ones with this issue.

Also, for what you pay for valet ($27 a night!!), you would think valet staff would help with luggage or even groceries. Instead, they just stood their and watched while no one else was even there. If you're going to charge that much, someone could at least help. I would have tipped, but not with that sort of work ethic.

Last, but not least, don't expect to be served at the bar if you're not a pretty lady. I don't think I'm ugly, but I waited and waited while the bartender was flirting with some girl and never served and there was just two other people in the bar. I was so aggravated after waiting a good 10min, that I up and left. There was no reason to sit there and be treated so poorly. He even acknowledged that I was there.

The hotel was clean, my faucet in my room was leaking, the shower only had a half glass in the shower no shower door. Valet service was excellent. Beds were extremely firm. Too firm for my taste and they were high off the floor. And you have to be a bodybuilder to open the door to the balcony. Other than those things it wasn’t a bad choice but for the price I expected a little bit more than what we got.

The beds were perfectly made and sheets were cleaned well, but I had to call housekeeping to send someone to clean the rest of the room. The toilet had poop in it still. Hairs in the shower and there was a huge patch of sticky floor right in front of the door. I’m guessing that was sunscreen from the previous guest. The room wasn’t vacuumed either. It wouldn’t have bothered me that much, but we paid a good amount for the room. The person who came to clean it didn’t speak English so didn’t know what I was asking for so she did a small wipe to pick up the hair and put some cleaner in the toilet then left. But the views were to die for and everything else about the hotel was absolutely lovely. I’ll just bring some Clorox wipes and bleach if I stay again.

We had a great time at Margaritaville last week! The hotel was very clean, the drinks were excellent at the bar, and our room was quite large, cool, and comfortable. It was a short walk from the hotel to the beach which was gorgeous and everyone was so friendly. The location was perfect also for going to grab a bite and drinks at local restaurants. The only drawbacks were the wait for an elevator and the small size pool. It was as if they forgot to plan for a pool and did it at the last minute. I suggest you take your own beach chairs so that you don’t need to pay to rent them each day. Also, the balcony was too small to even put a chair on to enjoy the “partial” view of the beach. If you go through the week, your stay is less expensive and the parking all around the beach is free.

Loved it here! The room was clean (4/5) and comfy, and super cute. I wish it had a microwave but at least there was a mini fridge. The hotel staff was very friendly. Being directly on the beach was the best part (and my main reason for staying there). The pool area is small, considering the size of the hotel. The restaurant and bar was good. Very limited parking space, making it necessary to use valet (for $27 a day) kinda sucks. But at least they are quick and efficient. Housekeeping is slow. They start early, like 9ish, but take all day (up to 6) to finish — that’s just one floor! If your main priority is to have beach time, this is the place! It’s nice, reasonably priced, has lots amenities, fairly close to a lot of things and ON THE BEACH!

The rooms are great, but the showers and sinks are absolutely terrible. The shower having no full door gets water EVERYWHERE and is truly a hazard. As well, the sink handles just leaks everywhere and the water gets all over the sink amd makes everything wet.

The staff is amazing!!! Jordan is beyond incredible, friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, kind, and went out of his way to help us.

We arrived on Thursday night to find out they had overbooked. They agreed to refund us the night and booked us free of charge at a neighboring hotel, this was supposed to be a free night. Next day after check out we find they had charged us over $500 for the night. We were refunded after complaining and still have not been refunded for the original hotel night. When arriving the next day for the remaining two nights. Check in was supposed to be a priority for us, however that was not the case and we did not check in until almost 5 pm. So much for priority! Then we finally get to our room only to have housekeeping come into our room to ask if we were checking out so they could clean our room. This was a hotel we have stayed at multiple times with no issues and in the same town that one of our group lives and recommended. I just felt like it was a nightmare of unpacking the car and valet parking multiple times that were truly just unnecessary. The hotel was very clean and after all said and done we had a great time at the pool and beach. The food and drinks were awesome.

We were disappointed with the cleanliness of our room upon arrival. I understand a little sand near the door is normal for a beach property, but the sand was tracked across the entire room floor, not just the entryway. I ended up cleaning it myself with bath towels, which turned completely black from the dirt.

Beyond the floors, several surfaces in the room were sticky, including the fridge and other areas, so much so that we had to go out and buy Clorox wipes just to feel comfortable using the room.

To their credit, once we notified staff, they were quick to act and addressed the issue promptly. That said, the fact that the room was handed to us in this condition in the first place points to low cleaning standards and a need for more supervision of housekeeping.

For the price we paid, we expected better from the start. We won't be staying here again.

The restaurants on-site were great but it would've been nice to have an actual breakfast on-site. A microwave in the room, that you don't have to rent, would've been a nice benefit. The staff were all great, but the property layout doesn’t handle the traffic flow for afternoon check-in well. Cars coming into the drive block the valet entrance and exit to the parking garage and backed up into traffic. You have to go to the second floor to check in and there are only two elevators serving in the valet lobby for the whole hotel. We waited in line about ten minutes to take the elevator up to the second floor. Check in was a breeze, but back to the slow elevators to get up to the room on the 8th floor. The hallway’s weren’t air conditioned and smelled a bit. We grabbed a bit at the outdoor area off the bar. There was live music playing downstairs but it was really unintelligible because the house music was still playing, too. The food was mediocre, as expected, and not a good value for money. The room was great, and so was the rate through Expedia. I wouldn’t pay any more than we did, although we likely will not return.

Great staff, gorgeous views. The hotel is well maintained and very clean. If you stay here, make it a point to visit the Landshark Bar downstairs. Also shoot for the oceanfront rooms, you can't beat the view of that sunrise over the water.

Every hotels has microwave in the room but margaritas don’t. If you like to have microwave you have to pay extra. They clean our room every second or third day. This is big concern for me. We had a lot trash in our room and didn’t come to pick up at our trash.

Parking was the worst part. Upon arrival you must immediately exit your car and unload and carry your own belongings. Then check in Is on the 2nd floor. No luggage carts available. No one cared or tried to find one. We arrived at 730pm & the check in lady said “we’ve been busy since 330 with check ins”. Not sure why that was our problem?
Room was clean. Room was nice. Beach was nice.

Wish I had never even SEEN this place on hotels.com! It was later in the day when we realized we couldn’t make the full 9 hr drive home from vacation with 4 kids in tow (two under 2 yrs old). We found this place and decided to just stay the night. Kids were cranky and tired. The restaurant in the hotel didn’t have good ratings so we ordered off site. Was too late to notice much about the rooms (we had two rooms) except for the crumbs in one of the beds. We waited til morning for showers.
That’s when we noticed the amount of filth in this place! So bad that I took pics! The shower head was so gunked up the water barely came out. Grabbed a towel only to find it used already! There was hair stuck to the sides of the shower. Mold in the air vents, rug under the beds was badly stained. The mattresses felt like bags of rocks! Hard and very uncomfortable. Upon leaving the rooms, we saw a roach bug crawling on the hallway wall right outside our door! I took a video! We went to the front desk but the lady said we would have to take it up with hotels.com Hotels.com said nothing they can do because manager of hotel refuses refund or even discount because “we stayed the entire nite”! With little ones and lots of stuff to bring into the room, we just didn’t notice these things til morning!
The place is NASTY!! I have video/photo proof!
