Nice room. It was able to sleep 5 adults, with 2 beds and a pull out couch. Huge bathroom but had a small walk in shower. Balcony was very narrow and is not able hold any chairs to sit, only standing room. Plenty of restaurants and the pier is near by to either fish or chill out.

We recently stayed at the Margaritaville Hotel in Jacksonville Beach for a one-night stop, and overall the experience was underwhelming for the price point and branding.

The positives first: the valet staff were genuinely kind and helpful, especially accommodating my son’s disability with complimentary valet service. The room decor was cute and had the fun beachy vibe you’d expect.

Unfortunately, things started off rough when we were accidentally assigned to an occupied room. After going upstairs with luggage, the key wouldn’t work and there were clearly guests inside. To the hotel’s credit, the manager apologized and offered a $50 food & beverage credit.

Still, there were a lot of small details that added up:

* Balcony initially had no chairs
* Weak shower/water pressure
* Bathroom fixtures looked stylish but barely functioned
* Room felt humid despite the AC
* Sparse coffee setup in the morning

The food was okay, but the “signature” margarita was disappointing — overly sweet and served in a small disposable plastic cup, which felt odd for a $14 resort drink.

One thing worth noting: this is apparently an independently owned Margaritaville property, so loyalty benefits were not honored when booking through Expedia, unlike many major hotel brands.

Nothing was terrible, but overall it just didn’t feel polished or elevated the way I expected from a Margaritaville property.

The room had a clump of hair in the bathroom upon arrival, as well as some crumbs on the couch, and was missing a robe. The staff quickly addressed these issues. Otherwise it was a lovely stay. Location by the beach is perfect, plenty of restaurants nearby. The drinks at the bar were wonderful, with a great view of the water. The food at Landshark was hit or miss (but lots of other options nearby). The valet parking is expensive, but they were quick and efficient. Worth the cost as a vacation perk.

The food is horrible. And the beds are horrible. We had ann expensive oceanfront corner room booked. It wasn’t really a corner. One side of the corner faced a common area so when you open the curtain, everyone sees you in your room. And they don’t even give you a beach chair. You have to pay for it. I certainly will not be staying here again.

This was my first time staying here and I absolutely LOVED it. I came on a Tuesday and I got to play bingo and it was so much fun. I also met a friend while playing bingo. The atmosphere was gorgeous. To wake up to seeing the beach was breath taking. My room and bed was phenomenal. 10/10 stay. I can’t wait to stay here again! Thank you for an amazing stay! Definitely will be back and would recommend this location to all my friends and family!

The Hotel is not a Resort by any means It is a party Hotel with few amenities . Mistakes on Booking when we spoke to the Hotel Twice the week we were flying. front desk confirmed our room and all was well 2 Queen Beds with a suite with an Ocean Front and Patio. Desk didn't Have the correct room. They gave us a Juliet Balcony with no patio at all and a limited Ocean. The Assistant General Manager Brittany was very helpful and professional and helped us get us to get a nice room but no Patio We Moved to different room twice and we still did not get the Oceanfront porch with chairs that were promised. Expedia was in charge as we got the reservation from Experian We will never use a third party again, so book directly with the Hotel. The Restaurant was something like McDonalds. The Bar skimpy drinks and Dark room. The pool was great and the beach was nice. So many issues . Give it a 4/10 Do your homework!

We love the hotel. It was great. We had a beautiful room that overlooked the ocean. The only problem is the TV didn’t work. It was our wedding anniversary anyway so we really didn’t care about the TV.
They sent up a bottle of champagne with two champagne glasses in a bucket. It was so sweet.
They wanted to move our room, but we were already settled in so we went without the TV. They credited us $100 to our room when we checked out which was so nice. The staff is incredibly helpful will definitely be back again.

The hotel property did not feel clean. The windows in our room were so dirty. Not the ocean view I had in mind. Our toilet also did not work properly. Even after reporting to hotel maintenance it was still not resolved. I would give this property a solid “ok”. The staff could have tried a little harder.

My stay was disappointing from the start. I arrived early due to an early flight, hoping to check in, but the front desk told me my room wasn’t ready and to check back later. I did, had lunch/took a walk. Despite multiple attempts, I was told it wasn’t worth coming back again, which felt dismissive, especially since I’m 7 months pregnant with back pain and needed to lay down. I was hoping they'd contact housekeeping and prioritize a room, but that initiative didn’t happen. When we finally checked in at 3:50 PM, the outlets at the desk didn’t work, forcing us to use inconvenient outlets by the bed. There was also hair in the shower, leaving a poor first impression.

Throughout our stay, our room wasn’t cleaned daily. One day, after the beach, I returned to an unclean room. When I tried to speak to the cleaning staff, I felt ignored, and on another day, I politely asked for cleaning, but the staff turned away and seemed dismissive. There also seemed to be two supervisors in a room that housekeeping was working on that ignored me and were sitting inside on their phones. Overall, interactions with staff were negative, and it was misleading to learn that beach chairs and umbrellas weren’t included and had to be rented separately, adding unexpected costs. I had hoped for a better experience, but unfortunately, it was not up to expectations. I do not recommend staying here.

Upon checkin (approximately 1 hour after 4:00 pm), we had to wait nearly 45 min outside our room as the maids finished cleaning the room (we were told previously that the room was ready). The cleanliness was subpar, with hairs everywhere (especially in the bathroom). The pool wasn’t very clean either. The wait to use the elevators (approximately 5 minutes each time, I timed it) was the worst I’ve experienced at any hotel. After we checked out, Margaritaville charged one of my cards twice for the room and another of my cards for the room and valet service, which necessitated multiple phone calls to straighten out. For the money charged, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had.

We love Margaritaville hotels, and this may be one of our favorites! One thing we did not like is that there were rooms available, but they still don’t check you in until 4 o’clock! We were there on a day that was not busy, the place may have been half full. We really did love staying there, the beach is awesome and it’s a great location. The staff is very very friendly.

Truly disappointed. Went to Margaritaville for 2 days while I was in Jax for a funeral.

I have a serious allergy to down. Explained it in the notes when I booked. Assured when I checked in that the room “has been cleared of down, I think”. This was the manager. She was very hyped to leave for the evening, and I actually do not blame her. It’s a tough biz.

Got upstairs and knew immediately the feathered pillows had not been removed. Called. Removed the pillows into the hall. Washed hands, aired room out. Knock on door. What did they bring after I checked the label? Yep- more down pillows. Washed hands. Thank goodness head wasn’t put on pillows. I brought my own, the pillows were for my sister or for me to hug. I do what I do.

The soap dispenser fell off the wall. The details of the room just looked worn.

The view was good. Drinks tasted weird. Our server Savion at the restaurant was super sweet and helpful, the young lady in the gift shop who also made coffee? A gem! Food wasn’t bad! It just was ok. Really surprised as Margaritaville in other places are very upscale! The lobby was very pretty, valet Parkers super nice, pool looked well kept. My biggest issue was the lack of concern about a very serious allergy.

Between the staff , view and size of room was great !! The only couple of things I wasn’t too happy with was first I had to pay for a microwave and honestly if they told me at the beginning of the trip I would have paid for it but finding out with only 2 nights left was not worth it to me . Second there was no Netflix for the apps which just made no sense. Third the restaurant in the hotel is absolutely horrible including drinks. I wanted to stay there since there was a whole restaurant but after having one meal / drink there , I never ate there again. Just saying if your called Margaritaville you should have better margaritas. The margaritas tasted like the premade mix from the grocery store . Also valet was okkk could be better or have more people .

This was our third time staying at this property because we LOVED it. Not this time!! The woman Jennifer at the desk, no very personable. We had an issue with people staying in the next room partying until 2:30am on the side of us. We complained to her and we were told “it’s a hotel and that’s what people do. There is nothing we can do about them being loud.”
We asked to speak to the manager, we were told he/she wasn’t available. This went on for 2 days and we still never spoke to the manager. Still waiting!!! We were told if we moved our room we would be responsible for the upgrade!
They also charge $100 a day for incidentals and $32.00 plus tax to valet park.
This is highway robbery for a hotel that doesn’t offer much other than being the beach.
The Landshark bar and grill is nice including the staff. Joe Merchant’s is convenient for breakfast but a little pricey.
Can’t say we will be back anytime soon.
Maybe if manager contacted us to make things right this would be a bit different.

My boyfriend and I booked for our anniversary and the room was definitely not what we expected. The towels in the bathroom had rust stains on them. Only 2 decently cleaned towels. The sides on the shower were rusted and looked like it needed to be deep cleaned. We asked to be switched rooms initially due to us booking a beach view and we didn't get that. The receptionist was very nice, and did the best she could. However, going into the new room, it had the same view, but now on a lower floor, and way more smaller than our first room. Disappointed in the room, and didn't want to spend more time downstairs dealing with the room and the cleanliness as I mentioned it was our anniversary and time was already spent on this. As we had dinner reservations. More than likely, won't be coming back to this location and now hesitant to visit other Margaritaville locations. This location was highly recommended to us by my sister who frequently stays at your Orlando location .

My one bed king room was amazing - great size with a spacious desk for working. Very clean. There just weren’t many shops or restaurants around (I was there on a Wednesday and also in a Monday). The coffee shop within walking no distance was closed on M/Tu. Access to the beach was wonderful. Amazing views. Lobby is just so-so. Staff were friendly enough but not above and beyond.

We always gravitate towards the Margaritaville chain. We have had fantastic experiences, but Jacksonville’s location, while only five years old, has already shown a lot of wear without repair. The drain in our bathroom had a loose cover that would come off during showers. At one point, it almost made me slip. The pool was a little small for this type of “resort”. I guess because the beach is so close. The check-in was on the second floor. As a guest, you were required to take your own bags to your room and had to wait to a cart. So, you valet on floor one, go up to floor two for checkin. The first impression of an hotel should be one of relaxation and hospitality, not a workout just to go up and down a single elevator to check in and get your belongings because you had to wait for a cart. Not to mention, Only one elevator is working. This was a huge problem for the upper floors just waiting to get down to the pool or beach. The wait time was a waste of valuable vaca time. I calculated about 45 minutes of my time was spent on waiting The layout of the place is just so convoluted you can’t enjoy your time for trying to remember how to get anywhere. It’s just not worth the 490 a night at all. I was very disappointed and unimpressed. The money to stay was just too much for what this location offered, the layout and the conditions of the hotel.

My stay at Margaritaville Jacksonville Beach Hotel was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment I arrived, the staff stood out for their kindness and genuine willingness to help with anything I needed. Every interaction felt warm and welcoming, which really set the tone for a relaxing getaway.

The beachfront location is absolutely beautiful, offering stunning ocean views and easy access to the sand and water. What impressed me most was how clean and well-maintained everything was—not just the rooms, but the entire property. The beach area itself was also very clean, making it even more enjoyable to spend time outside.

My room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged, with everything I needed for a pleasant stay. You can tell the hotel takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest experience.

Overall, this is a perfect spot if you’re looking for a beachfront hotel with excellent service, clean accommodations, and a welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely return.

We loved that the location was walkable to restaurants, ice cream, beach, etc. The hotel is bright and cheery and the room was very efficient. The mattress was a bit too firm for us, and the people in the room next to us were quite loud. I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant on site, but the pool was lovely.

Upon arrival, I had to wait while I 3 staff members chit chatted. I stood there waving my keys until one finally asked if I was checking in. It's totally self service for your luggage and there weren't any carts. The attendant said I should go up to the 2nd floor check in to look for one which I did. None there so I checked in. The staff member said I should check other floors for carts as guests leave them there. After searching 3 floors I gave up and decided to carry my luggage. while gathering the load for my 3rd trip up to the 6th floor, a attendant arrived with a cart and gave it to women behind me!!! Another day I waited almost 50 minutes for my car. The sink and the shower fixtures were not very clean and confusing to operate. You might think I must be an idiot, but I've traveled the world for work for 37 years and never had issues and never was baffled with how to use plumbing fixtures. We were there 4 nights and 3 days. The room wasn't made up 2 of the 3 days and when I called down to the front desk the person I spoke with was dismissive and said they will get around to it. I told her the one day they did make up the room we didn't receive new towels and again she told me they always bring new towels when making up the room, They never came. I walked down the hall and asked a women who was attending a room and she told me that my room was not her responsibility. I got new towels from her and went back to the room. Room was never serviced AGAIN!

Stay didn’t include breakfast. The room was okay as far as cleanliness, you can tell they did a quick clean instead of a thorough clean. One of knobs on the bathroom sink did not work for the hot water. Room did not include a microwave so we had to ask for one in which was a $20 charge per night. The refrigerator did not get cold enough to keep our food fresh. We called housekeeping numerous times to bring towels and washcloths. The beach view was nice though.

Our room furnace/ac did not work, we called and they came to service but could not fix. Said they could not do anything for us as they were full then 30min later, had us a different room to use that had Plumming issues. Location was great

The negatives: partial ocean view balcony is very small, you can’t sit down as it’s standing area only with no room for a chair. Either get a full ocean view with larger balcony or don’t get a view at all and save money. Parking is mandatory at $32 a night for SUVs, that’s ridiculous despite this economy. It’s nearly impossible to get free parking around the hotel. Pool is too close to building so after 1:00, the sun goes behind the building. Shower door does not close; it’s a partial door so the water makes a mess.

Other than these issues, it’s a wonderful hotel with great staff, great food and very clean.
