The hotel location is a little bit in a heavy traffic area, for example the Mall of İstanbul which you can see it across the freeway, there is no walkway to it, going there is only by car or taxi usually takes 20-30 minutes due to heavy traffic.

I had a wonderful stay at the **Rotana Hotel during my solo trip to Turkey. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the service was excellent throughout my stay. The location was about 25-30 mins from all the tourist places. Traveling alone can sometimes feel overwhelming, but the team here made me feel comfortable and well taken care of. I would definitely recommend staying here.

First of all, this hotel is about 40 minutes away from Istanbul Airport and located directly opposite Mall of Istanbul. In terms of location, it sits between two major highways in a modern part of the city, far from Istanbul’s main tourist attractions, which are mostly in the older and historic areas. This means you’ll likely rely on taxis every day, and a round trip can cost close to £40.
The hotel itself is a tall tower and stands out nicely among nearby buildings. It has a large “G Rotana” sign on top, and most drivers seem to know it simply as “Rotana.” At the entrance, there is a revolving door that’s quite inconvenient, along with a metal detector gate that feels unnecessary, as there is no proper security check and it alarms constantly.
The staff speak good English, and despite arriving a couple of hours early, we were checked in without any issues. The hotel has 15 floors and around seven elevators, which means you almost never have to wait. Rooms are slightly smaller and less polished than the photos suggest, but still comfortable overall. Rooms on floors 6 and above have better views, especially at night. The bathroom was large, although some worn tiles were noticeable.
Service was excellent. We requested a baby cot and received it quickly, and anything we asked for was delivered within minutes. The pool requires a head cap which was never mentioned in the description. They don’t mention the head cap until you show up and will try to sell you one and it is over priced.

Stayed here for 15 days, best hotel ever. The hotel manager, Vesile, goes above and beyond for her guests. Such a caring and genuine person. She had made my stay in hotel so much better. Her team is amazing and kind. I really did enjoy the trip and I would recommend Rotana hotel in Istanbul for anyone, especially if you are going from North America as Vesile and her team are extremely accommodating. Definitely staying here again when coming to Türkiye. Beautiful place and pleasant staff.

I am a frequent flyer/traveler and God knows how many times I came to Istanbul and stayed in various hotels. I can gladly say this one is the best yet. To prove my point, I originally booked 3 nights, but extended it another 5 nights. Turkish people are known to be very hospitable and this hotel has some of the nicest staff. Mr. Hakan at the front desk was very kind and upon learning my extension to stay, he upgraded my room. Mr. Abdullah (concierge) was also very kind and helpful.
As for the rooms: the first one was a king bed at the 13th floor (yup, this hotel has a 13th floor, they are not afraid of superstitions). Very clean room, with an amazing view of the Mall of Istanbul, the river of traffic flowing around it, showing you the true modern Istanbul.
The second room was a 1 bedroom, 1 living room residence at the 28th floor, which has a very good size kitchen. Perfect for a couple.
As for the rooms: the first one was a king bed at the 13th floor (yup, this hotel has a 13th floor, they are not afraid of superstitions). Very clean room, with an amazing view of the Mall of Istanbul, the river of traffic flowing around it, showing you the true modern Istanbul.

I always stay in Centro Rotana hotel in istanbul with its wonderful location as i always have a rental car with their unde ground parking but if you dont have a car hotel car provide shuttle with very reasonable prices. Perfect view from the room on Mall of Istanbul. Room are quite and clean and staff is very friendly. I highly recommend this hotel for tourism and business.

I booked with Expedia I went to the hotel and they said they don’t have my booking even tho I paid. I had receipt and all my information and they still asked me to pay again. Expedia tried to call them but they wouldn’t pick up. The process took almost 2 hours. The receptionist didn’t have any answers and would constantly ask his manager what to do. I stayed at Cento by Westside Hotel in Istanbul for 4 nights, and it was a complete nightmare. First of all, the hotel itself is dirty and poorly maintained. The room I stayed in had stains all over—on the carpet, the furniture, even the walls. It was clear they don’t prioritize cleanliness. To top it off, you have to pay extra just to use the pool, which is ridiculous.
On the last day, something even worse happened. Around 12 PM, I put my passports and $2300 in cash into the safe box before heading out for lunch. I entered my code and left the room, confident my belongings were secure. When I came back around 4 PM to pack for my early flight the next day, I tried to open the safe, but my code was suddenly not working—it kept giving an error.
I contacted the front desk, and they sent a technician to open the safe. Once they left, I checked inside only to realize my $2300 was missing! I rushed down to reception to report the theft, but the staff was unbelievably rude and dismissive. When I asked them to check the security cameras to see who entered my room, they refused to show me anything, claiming it was against their \"policy.\" They told me only housekeeping had entered the room and insisted that housekeeping couldn't open the safe without knowing my code. They basically shrugged off the entire situation and did nothing to help.

I stayed in 5 different hotels during my visit to Istanbul this time. Thid Rotana was unfortunately the worst. The rooms were very dirty. The first room they gave me smelled like pee, then they moved me to a suite which was also dirty with dust and stains all over the floor and smelly pillows. The lication is also inconvenient, not pedestrian friendly, you will have to take a taxi to go anywhere and not much is going on in the area beside Mall of Istanbul really. Anyway the poor cleanliness is the main reason why this Rotana is a terrible choice, I checked 2 nights early and left my nonrefundable charge because I couldn't stand the nasty bed and the dusty stained floors. I stayed in Rotanas before and they were typically great this one falls far below the standard. The interesting part is that the public areas are very clean which goes to show that the staff actually knows how to clean properly they just slack when it comes to areas where no one is checking.

We will not return to this property and we will not recommend it because of the unprofessional and discourteous staff.The receptionist staff upon us checking in seemed overwhelmed and stressed in her words and actions as she checked us in.There was No Internet service available upon arrival for approximately 6hours with no update from hotel staff. This was a huge inconvenience for us as we were transiting and choose this hotel solely for a few hours sleep, confirm ongoing airline flights and to check in on the next leg of our journey. - About my stay, the hotel location is isolated and hard to access. No shops or restaurants within 1.5 km.
- The shower splashes around cause it is a half open concept.

- i have tried to use the swimming pool on the 15th floor and the receptionist denied my access asking me to put a swimming headcap being the hotel Swimming pool instructions .. i do not understanding the logic .. if it is hygiene issue, well tha cap causes the head to sweat and is worse than without .. and if it is about falling hair, well body hair do also fall

Everything about it was more than amazing, specially the staff were super friendly, smiling, and welcoming. They were always ready to help. The breakfast buffet was excellent, you find anything you want. However, the place is very safe and quiet. Nevertheless, it's better if you rent a car, because the transportation is a bit hard there.

A bad experience in this hotel. I did not expect this. A hotel belonging to Rotana in this situation, it was a bad experience again. Most of the guys in charge especially the reception guy were not friendly & welcoming at all, and the room which I was in not at the level of Rotana hotel room, the door of the bathroom was in terrible situation.

Hotel itself is really good but because of the poor service puts you down. I stayed there for 7 nights and cleaning was only done once upon requesting them several times. I got the family room for 2 adults and 2 kids and paid too much money but when I reached there there was only one double bed. They gave the excuse that extra beds are finished so we can’t give any for kids. Location wise it’s bit far from city and every time taxi use to charge us double the price then Uber to take us to city. If this is your first time in Istanbul then I will not recommend this place.
