Their air-conditioning only operates to heat up the room which I thought it was odd because I can’t go to sleep unless it’s like super cold and the room was extremely hot with the heat off.
Also, their breakfast is extremely expensive in comparison to what I paid for the room.

Cons: Reservations were canceled twice without a clear explanation, though the third attempt worked. We had a complimentary upgrade, but the assigned room had a strong odor; we declined the upgrade to move to a clean room.

The buffet for breakfast was fantastic every morning. Unfortunately the a la carte menu was awful. You cannot call it \"a la carte\". It was extremely limited and you could tell the food was from frozen. Hardly any choice.
But the staff were extremely polite and helpful.
I enjoyed my stay here thoroughly and would think of coming again if the a la carte menu is improved.

I was recently staying at Rotta Hotel, the lobby officials give a good service, as for pool and sauna areas the cleaning is bad just like in the rooms, the air conditioning does not work well, I went with my Telmo to get water at the restaurant and they denied me the service, they treated me badly and told me that I had to pay for the water, they wanted me to buy a bottle since the water in a large bottle was for the destination, it was not about paying for a bottle of water but in the way they told me, those who attend during breakfast time are friendly but those on the afternoon night shift have no idea what it is to give customer service, the Ramazan server along with the two older gentlemen who work there have made me feel the worst in my stay at Rotta Hotel, I will never set foot in that hotel again, he treated me with bad attitude twice, despite the fact that they do not know how to speak English to give a service

плюсы: очень просторный и удобный номер, хорошая качественная мебель, выглядит дорого, хоть и наверняка не новая. Удобная кровать - спал с удовольствием. Всё очень солидно и позволяет не только отдыхать, но и работать - большой удобный стол, устойчивый и быстрый интернет. Отличный разнообразный завтрак (хоть и турецкий) - не хватает рыбы и свинины.
Минусы: на ужине всего 3 блюда на выбор - салат капрезе, суп дня и жареные куриные ножки. Нет алкоголя в принципе. На завтраке навязчивая дама пыталась срочно у меня выспросить мнение об отеле, но говорить с полным ртом мне неудобно и невежливо, а прервать еду и начать с ней разговор - никакого желания.
Большой и неожиданный минус - отсутствие в номере бокалов/стаканов/рюмок. Есть вода, но пить её можно только из пластиковой бутылки. Не страшно, конечно, но не солидно.
Ещё я бы минусом назвал отсутствие мини-бара. Место под него есть, но всё пусто. Солидность номера сразу падает и отдаёт дешевизной.

I have spent 5 nights at this beautiful hotel with my husband and my daughter, and we've had an excellent time there! The room was large with a separate dressing and a good sized stylish bathroom. We slept very well, we could very well control the temperature in the room. They have good house keeping, and they've always supplied anything we needed extra (towels, shower gel). The breakfast buffet is very diverse and the dining area is very elegant. We have used the pool almost every day and enjoyed that area a lot! The staff is friendly and helpful. What can I say, we have been impressed and were so happy to have chosen The Rotta Hotel. There is also a nice restaurant outside, on the right side as you exit the hotel, they have great turkish food. We look forward to be staying at this lovely hotel again! And we have also been very impressed by the wide lobby/ lounge area, very well designed. We took some lovely pictures there. Thank you, Rotta Hotel x

The room temperature was stuck at 77°F (25°C), which was too hot for me, so if you need a cooler room to sleep comfortably, this might not be the place for you. The internet was unreliable—constantly disconnecting, and even when connected, it was either extremely slow or not working at all. Out of three elevators, only one seemed to work most of the time, and during busy hours it could take up to 15 minutes to get on.

The restaurant’s air conditioning didn’t work for most of our stay, and there was no air conditioning in the lobby either.

On the positive side, the staff were polite and friendly. A welcome basket of fruits was a lovely gesture, and we received bottled water every day. The rooms were clean, and the breakfast was good.

However, the neighborhood seemed unsafe based on what I heard, and the hotel is located far from most attractions.

A nice hotel but seen it’s best days!

Its a nice hotell but it has seen its best days. It’s a lack of maintenance specially at the spa. Most of the lookers in the men’s looker room was out of funktion. There was only one shower with warm water and no water in the small pool. It was freezing cold where the big pool was. In the hamas spa the warm water only worked for half of the time we were there. We spent 11 days in at the hotell but only used the spa ones due to the poor condition.
The staff was very friendly and service minded. Everything we asked for they tried to help us with.
Note: if you have booked a room for 3 person they give you a room for 2 and put an extra bed in the room.
The rooms are good and comfortable but also here there is a lack of maintenance. Our bath tub was leaking so we had to change room. And there is a lot of mould in the bathrooms. See pictures. It was a nice view but due to the dirty windows you can barely see anything.
The breakfast is good with plenty of food. It’s very ”arabic inspired ” so if you are in to ”European breakfast ” i suppose you will bee disappointed. It’s a lot of clients from the clinics so be ready to sometimes have the feeling of eating in a hospital.
The location is far away from the city center. If you go with public transportation it will take you about 1 hour and 30 minutes to get there. It’s like in an industrial area.
The restaurant next door was a good restaurant we enjoyed.

Good hotel but remember it's an old hotel.

Good facilities however the hotel is old. So don't expect new 5 star. The decor and wear and tear definitely shows. Also the noise travels quickly. Staff here are excellent and friendly. Quick to help. The staff here make up for the building being old and worn out. Bathrooms need a refurbishment or at least a new mastic seal all round.

The Rotta Hotel looked great on the website with the pictures etc but to stay in was not all that great. The best thing about the stay was the breakfast which unfortunately was an expensive add on.

There was a children's pool but it was drained and could not be used. To go into the pool a head bonet was required to be purchased at 250Lira which was not worth it. There was a spa area with steam room and sauna but unfortunately the stream room had an awful mould smell and the hotel did not offer any towels in this area. You had to bring your own towels from the room.

The hotel booking was for a triple beds room but they don't have any rooms with triple beds which means someone is sleeping on a very thin mattress as the extra cot bed is brought into the room to make it a triple bed room.

The housekeeping staff were never available and so they never answered their phone which meant I always had to call reception. I had to call everyday several times for a housekeeping request and only once out of the four night stay did I get housekeeping to follow through on my request the rest of the times I just kept calling reception until I gave up on my request which was very disappointing.

The hotel staff mostly do not speak English, for a high rated hotel I was disappointed by this as communication was not the easiest with the staff.

Overall, I didn't use the facilities offered and I would not stay here again as the cost of the stay was not worth it due to the issues raised.

The hotel wasn’t clean the manger told me the room have multiple Complan wasn’t clean and still give to the gust you can’t sleep at night because bad odor from the bathroom the front desk they are very rude and unprofessional I was try to address my issues she was start complaining about me having a gust as I book the room one adult then I try to explain we have arrived in different day and time I wasn’t fully understanding and I contacted Expidia address the situation and the hotel give me 2 choices to give me a clean room or refund me the 11 unused night over USD I chose the refund and checked out the hotel then the hotel denied my refund

Cold welcome when we arrived. No smile from employee at check in desk. Didn’t give us any information about pool or breakfast timings. Bellboy parked our car and then takes us to our room where he tells us we need to pay for breakfast. I refused as I paid extra to include it in my booking. He refused and we both went back to the check in desk. I showed my booking to them all but the employee at the desk is STILL refusing and telling me breakfast is not included when it clearly states on my booking it is. After whispering with another colleague he apologises and said it is included - only because his colleague said, NOT BECAUSE IT CLEARLY STATES ON MY BOOKING that breakfast is included. Room had one tiny bottle of shampoo conditioner lotion when we have booked a room for 4 people. There should be at least four of each. When we went swimming they charged 250TL for a cheap head cap. I understand it’s policy but 250TL??? I’ve paid 100 at a much better hotel in a more popular area of Istanbul. Pool was nice but advertised a childrens pool, it was empty (no water). Rooms were not sound proof. Felt like windows were open too. The breakfast was nice and staff at breakfast were very friendly and helpful. Overall, wouldn’t stay again. Felt like we overpaid for this stay. Definitely wasn’t worth it.

Fantastic Stay at Rotta Hotel Istanbul!**

I recently stayed at the Rotta Hotel Istanbul and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The location is perfect – close to public transportation and key tourist attractions, making it easy to explore the city.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel, car park not fit for purpose, damaged the underside of my car going in and out it.
No one to help with the bags when checking in, had to do it myself, the receptionist couldn’t care less, WiFi not working most of the time, constant power cuts in the room. Breakfast selection was rubbish, no chocolate Nutella for the kids, kept blaming suppliers, how hard can it be just to go to your local market and pick one up instead of saying no to your customers,

We arrived at the hotel fairly late. There were 3 people at check-in, one on the company phone, another playing with their mobile and another doing nothing but we had to wait till the busy one was free.

There are no do not disturb signs so we were disturbed twice at 9am Turkish time for room service.

You have to wear a hat to use the pool but this is not clear till I went to enter the pool, I was told to buy one but you can’t buy one at the spa entrance, you have to buy it at the cafe so you can either go there in your swim wear or you can get changed again to get one. The other thing to mention that the towel provided at the spa was smaller than a hand towel.

The complimentary shuttle to the mall of Istanbul never materialised. One person told us it was at 1pm, we got there early but we’re told by someone else that it wasn’t 1pm so we missed it and it was only 25 lira in a cab which is only £3 and the shuttle isn’t guaranteed.

The bed and room however was nice and the maid who came in for house keeping was nice.

We had stayed at this hotel 6 years ago but looks like time has done it's damage (although not hugely). A bit out dated 5 star, the restaurant is for a 4star hotel to be honest. Staff are great and do their best. This is not to put you off from going there, room was good and bed was comfortable, the cleaning ladies were super helpful, the price is really affordable and the hotel is worth for staying a night or two if you're like us need a comfortable bed between your flights. It's 30 min drive from the new Istanbul airport.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room in this hotel... It is truly what you expect in a 5 star hotel. Also the room is well equipped and quit. It seems the walls are well insulated to suppress noise. There is slight noise from the road traffic if you leave the window open.. But if you close the window the noise is reduced significantly. That is not avoidable since the hotel is close to the main road and the nearby Ataturk Airport.

There is valet and self parking at this hotel. The reception staff are very friendly and speak multiple languages in addition to Turkish (Arabic, English, etc).

I used to stay at the Elite Europe hotel, but they raised their prices lately. This hotel is at par with Elite but much lower price.

I highly recommend it and would stay here again.

One if the lifts had a noise and I told the front desk and I hope it has been fixed.

First & last time in this circus of a Hotel

Steer clear. Description states they have a Free Shuttle Service, which they don’t. They then said if I took a taxi they would reimburse me, which they then reneged on. Air conditioning on the blink, so was faced with a choice, not sleep due to the heat or the noise from the planes flying over all night when I opened the window. Again, wouldn’t see me right with a discount for current or future stays. They really don’t care. If you speak Turkish or Arabic you’ll probably be ok but their English leave an awful lot to be desired. One thing I particularly disliked was asking me if I’d taken anything from the mini bar, when I informed them what I’d taken, they sent someone up to check if I was telling the truth!! So why ask ??

You just feel at home. Often, the staff reward me for my loyalty by upgrading my reservation free of charge. Whether upgraded or not, it continues to be my favourite hotel.

Good hotel

Very happy with the hotel and all the services . In particularly ‘Meral’ from front desk, restaurant manager Mr Sezgin, was also very professional oh and Without forgetting the waiter, he was extremely efficient, definitely will be Staying again .

Perfectly fine for an overnight stay (which is what I was there for). There is no longer shuttle to the airport, however, I was kindly offered a taxi for free (I assume until they remove the shuttle information from various website postings).

I had a strange encounter with reception which left a sour taste in my mouth - I understand that no is particularly chirpy at 4 am in the morning, but I was a little taken aback by the raised, annoyed tone I received from the gentleman who checked me in, simply because it took a few tries for me to understand his accent. He was much nicer afterwards, but I couldn't shake the interaction.

The room itself was fine - I can't say it screamed \"five star\" to me but it was large, comfortable, and clean.

新しいイスラム色強いホテル

一般的なインターナショナルホテルとは異なるイスラム色の強いホテル。部屋は新しいのでとても綺麗。レセプションのスタッフもとても親切。日本人は初めてととても喜んでくれました。朝食のビュッフェはイマイチ。でも全体的にとてもコスパは高い。オススメです。

I only stayed there for 2 days but it was THE WORSE 2 days. The hotel looked good, but the small of swear was strong once you opened the hotel door. Then there was a smell of funky feet. They needed to clean the carpet. The first night the electric went out for several hours( more than 6), then it took several more for the internet to come back on. The TV service went out several times for several hours. No Internet, No TV left me with time for the pool. The area was nice. THAT was the best thing at the hotel. It was hot in the room and the settings for the air was 27. Since when is 27 a good temperature for a room in the summer. I tried to change it and even asked someone to help but I got brushed off with a rude remark. I was sweating both nights.
The breakfast was good and the room service food was tasty as well, The thing is both phones in the room didn't work so I had to go down, order the food and THEN they would deliver :(
NOT a 5-star hotel.

Nice hotel close to the airport

it is a good hotel, more likely 4 stars hotel.
alcohol is not available in the hotel which I found suitable for conservative families.
the hotel location is somewhat not suitable for walking around but taxi service is always available. also it is as it says not near the city center which you may consider when looking for near locations to city center.
the hotel staff is helpful and kind, some of them speaks Arabic, English as well as Turkish of-course.

Would not stay again

After a flight being cancelled due to weather (snow), I ended up unexpectedly needing to stay the night in Istanbul. I chose this hotel based on its good reviews and proximity to the airport.

The room was modern, clean, and comfortable. If that's all you want, this would be a fine choice.

Since I was on my way to beach weather I had no winter clothing and wasn't anxious to walk around the city in sandals in search of food so I was grateful they had their own restaurant. The dinner option was a meager, overpriced buffet consisting of about 5 bland options. I went to bed fairly hungry. The next morning, unwilling to brave their breakfast buffet after the previous night's disappointment, I opted to get room service instead, which the menu claims is from 7am - 12am. I called in my order at 7am, and by noon still had not gotten any food, despite multiple calls to the front desk and several in-person requests as well.

The staff was completely unhelpful, unapologetic, and unsympathetic to a stranded, hungry traveler just trying to get a meal that she was paying for. I finally received my meal at 1pm, with no apology.

I definitely would not stay here again.
